First speakers for GOP Convention announced; Palin not on list

Sen. John McCain, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee are among the first speakers named for this month’s Republican National Convention in Tampa.

The list, which was first reported by the Tampa Bay Times and later confirmed by the Associated Press, also includes four current GOP governors: Florida’s Rick Scott, South Carolina’s Nikki Haley, Ohio’s John Kasich and New Mexico’s Susana Martinez.

The keynote speaker and other headliners will be announced closer to the Aug. 27-30 convention, where Mitt Romney will officially become the party’s 2012 presidential nominee.

“Ours will be a world-class convention, worthy of the next president of the United States, and these speakers — and those that will be announced later — will help make it a truly memorable and momentous event,” RNC chairman Reince Priebus said.

Noticeably missing from Sunday’s list of announced speakers are the most frequently talked about vice presidential contenders, including former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.

All the CFR members of course have been Chosen. The Moles of the Central Bankers in our midst assuring the end of Freedom and Constitutional Law.

    • CSN

You are so right….need we allow this to happen?

  • dbassd

What? No mention of Ron Paul? He is the only Paulitician that I trust. The GOP is corrupt. A pustule of power mongering elected leaders. We are not choosing our leaders, they are. There is a very large contigency of RonPaul supporters that the GOP needs to win this election, but they have been marginalized.
It is time for the GOP to die!
    : ? )

    • CSN

I agree, GOP needs to be squashed out, and replaced by Tea Party. Do we have time to do that? We’re at the point of no return right now.

      • dbassd

I have always like the T Party. The name is easy to swallow.

        : ? )

    • I think they are dying. They are committing suicide. In the last 2 elections actually. With McCain and with Romney. The party top is always controlled by rinos no matter what the tea party elects into its ranks. Its pretty sickening the left has gotten this far because of the rights whining and doing nothing.

      • dbassd

While I agree that the Left should be in the grave, the right is just about as bad. . .
The time for change is really here and it involves Ron Paul. Just wait till the Fat Lady sings at the convention floor in Tampa!

        • CSN

I hope you’re right…I’m waiting for the Fat Lady to sing too.

  • daveveselenak

This is to be expected from the RINO

  • CSN

The first two are Globalists, then comes Huckabee, who means well, but I’m afraid he’s establishment also, but to a lesser degree. Palin fought Big Oil, which is part of the Globalist Establishment money making scheme and takeover of world currency. Palin represents the die hard little people who went from small town girl to fulfilling a girls dream in life. The Elite control America and the RNC. A third party needs to defeat the RNC. The Tea Party is already born….let’s see if we can allow it to replace the corrupt RNC. Only vote for Tea Party people and work hard folks.

    • Robert Young

CSN, had the Tea Party put their support behind Ron Paul, he, in all likelihood, would be the Republican Nominee. since they did not, I have some doubts of the standards the Tea Party says they support. Since Palin does represent the people rather than the Establishment, she would not meet the criteria that the RNC would want its speakers at the Convention to have.

      • CSN

Robert, the PTB would not allow Ron Paul to become the nominee. He actually has more delegates than Romney, so they’re playing fast and loose with the delegates, even going so far as to cheat, bend the rules, and drag away hostages. I want to see a Tempest in the Teapot at the Tampa Event….I want to see a REVOLUTION!

    • i keep telling people, Huckabee is not who he pretends to be. Im in Arkansas. The man is also an open border idiot and liberal in disguise.

  • daveveselenak

This is to be expected from the RINO party of punks. They are making a big mistake. The Manchurian candidate, “McShame” and the sell out Rice, here we go again down the same road to defeat!

  • Robert Young

The RNC at work. The “go along to get along” Republican elite and RINOS who run the Republican Party are picking their One World Government supporters. McLame fits right in, just like they lost in 2008. If Romney gets the Republican Nomination, I am through with the Republican Party. They will never get another dime of my money. I WILL NOT vote for either Romney or Obama as they are both One World Government supporters and neither would stand up and support our Constitution nor National Sovereignty. I will be looking for a party that shares my beliefs in America or I will just vote as an Independent.

    • CSN

I agree with you, but if Obama gets in, there won’t be a second time. He’s working fast and lose with our Sovereignty, giving away our space program to Russia, and playing fast and loose with guns rights, etc. He is a Marxist Communist and Romney is a Globalist Socialist. Those two are bad for the economy and since I’m a Catholic, my Faith and Freedom of Religion is being squashed by Same Sex Marriage, Abortion and Birth Control implemented into Obama Mandate. I don’t think Romney would do any different, but Obama is the devil…. SEE WHAT HAPPENS AT TAMPA!

  • Im supposing there will ONLY be rinos on the list. You are right that this is down the same road to defeat. Im getting the feeling now its by design. Why would they commit suicide twice . Once you can understand the mistakes, but 2 years in a row, shoving the same rinos down our throats who love the same open borders and liberal policies? Unreal.

  • William L

We will end up fighting for our freedoms…Ashame, but true.

  • Why in heck would they want to loose again, John McCain planned on Loosing the 08 election, he is a trader.

    • CSN

Yes, McCain is a Taitor to say the least. He also is ganging up on Michelle Bachmann for exposing Hillary’s Secretary Muslim Brotherhood friend…you know…the “wife” of Anthony Weiner?

  • sara

Harry Reid is more than a dirty liar. He is very corrupt and his girlfriend also. Pelosi. The one person I would not want to listen to is McCain.
Romney made a big mistake by not inviting Palin. But Romney was not my pick so Palin doesnt belong in that group. She has proven to be a GREAT CONSERVATIVE. Then again….We dont want Obama so have no choice.
I hope The great Romney people wake up to the CONSERVATIVE people.
There are more of us than you think….GOP….!

  • sara

PALIN is not in that group of GOP…She is a GREAT CONSERVATIVE.
Romney and his click made a mistake by not inviting Palin. If it were not for Palin….McCain would not be a name.

  • sara

Are the GOP going down the same road again? Ignoring Palin is Ignoring the TEA PARTY…. Hello GOP -you are asking for defeat. Maybe Romney is too much like Obama. I sure hope the GOP gets with it. There are more conservatives out there than they know. We need our OIL…Palin means OIL….Oil means AMERICA GOP!!!! Wake up.

  • guamjeff

The Rino wimps doing it again!! Get Sarah up there and put on your MAN PANTS!!
