It was a great night for supporters of marriage Tuesday as support for traditional marriage was a key issue in numerous races across the country. The National Organization for Marriage Victory Fund was active in many of these races and our efforts have been rewarded. This success has strong implications for future electoral contests, including the 2016 presidential race.

Our two most prominent efforts to influence Senate contests were in North Carolina and Arkansas. The NOM Victory Fund spent over $200,000 in these races on television ads, direct mail and grassroots outreach to mobilize marriage supporters.

When our TV ad and mailer hit in North Carolina, Thom Tillis trailed Kay Hagan by 2-3 points. Within days, we helped bring the race into a tie, and then working along with NC Values Coalition (which co-sponsored the ads and with whom we worked to pass the state’s marriage amendment in 2012) we helped mobilize grassroots marriage supporters to get to the polls. In what many consider the biggest upset of the night, Thom Tillis defeated Kay Hagan by two points, and marriage helped make the difference.

Arkansas was also a race where marriage made a difference. When our TV ad began airing, marriage champion Tom Cotton led incumbent Mark Pryor by 7 points. Cotton ended up winning by seventeen points! Clearly, our advertising and grassroots efforts in that state helped to boost his margin of victory.

Praise GOD! when we honor GOD with His righteous and moral principles of marriage and family, He will honor us as a nation!

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the peoplewhom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. —Psalm 33:12

Praise Jesus and Mary people are standing up to the Soft Tyranny and making a huge statement against unnatural vice. Marriage is between one man and one woman, so says God. So glad to hear about these election results.

The institution of marriage was spelled out in the bible as that between a man and a women, because GOD wanted us to be fruitful and multiple. It was written that man should lay with woman and woman with man! The expressed purpose of the LGBT gang is to cheapen, thus break down the family as the guiding force in the traditional and biblical sense!

Marriage is also to show us a picture of who we are as the people of the LORD: the bride of CHRIST. Perverted relationships like gay marriage destroy that picture.

Right…I agree…it is a concerted effort to destroy the family unit, which should be protected, and which was sanctioned by God at the beginning of time. Marriage began in the Garden of Eden. The LGBT is a tool to destroy religion in America. You don’t hear about Gays trying to get married in Muslim Mosques do you? Seems Obama has a problem with Christian Churches only, refusing to marry gays. ISIS will be on his tail if he pushes that agenda into their Mosques.

BTW: I didn’t vote for Wehby, but for the Constitution Party Candidate, due to her Pro-choice and Pro-Same Sex Marriage stand. I’m so glad she didn’t get it! Even if I can’t stand the Democrat, she didn’t deserve to win, and she lied to constituents before the General Election. The Pro-Life groups in Oregon knew her Pro-Choice stand and told everyone about her, and they never gave her their support, nor did any conservative voters. She came out during the General election bragging about being Pro-Choice and Pro-Gay Marriage. See Karl Rove, your stupid RINO candidate didn’t win. We didn’t want her and she lost big time. The Pro-Life Candidate who ran for Governor was in a much closer race with his opponent, and he didn’t change his values to win votes. If we had worked harder for him, he may have won.

It seams like Steve Deace is the only radio host talking about this and the Pro-Life victories. C’mon Rush, Sean and Karl Rove. There are OTHER issues besides Obamacare and closing the borders.
