So Sexist, Right?: Feminists Upset Over Statue of Man and Woman Talking

Scene: You’re a woman, sitting on a bench reading a book. Your male friend sees you on the quad and comes over to say hello and talk. You put down your book, lean back against the bench and smile. He doesn’t sit next to you; instead, he puts his foot on the bench and leans over his knee.

So sexist, right?

That scene is depicted in a statue at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, and despite no sign of distress or physical assertion, some women have decided it is a statue of “mansplaining” — a term used to describe men condescendingly explaining something to a woman.

Seriously. Here’s the actual statue and the claim of misogyny:

That tweet went viral over Memorial Day weekend. It all started when Ash Hernandez saw the statue on her way to take a teacher’s certification test. She was so outraged that she ran back to her car to get her phone to snap a picture (Read more from “So Sexist, Right?: Feminists Upset Over Statue of Man and Woman Talking” HERE)

Some people are just too sensitive….take a powder and get over yourself. In other words, kiss off and shut your pie hole.

As an actual feminist, someone who was a girl in an man’s world, and who earned half the salary whilst being twice as good as any male, I find the current attitude of “feminists” as beyond a joke. Men & women are different, they have different physical and emotional traits because they need them. Men like to stand and lean, it’s not sexist, it’s a fact. If this stupid woman really does want to do something about sexism, she can start trying to introduce contraception, education and water in Third World countries to help genuine women in need. Ash is an insult to people like me who fought in the work place to be taken both seriously and equally as well as in recreational areas.

there was a time when the USA had a number of institutions that were designed just for the very purpose of taking care of clowns like those that complain about everything, well everything that is not “free”…unfortunately the democrapo communist party decided that they needed to close those facilities because it was an insult to their benefactors and especially to their supporters…now there is no way those outdated and under sized institutions could handle the amount of idiots in the USA and by being “out in the public” they put a illegal alien in the oral office and are wanting to put a ho that has already soiled the WH before back in there, I guess the clintoney crime family needs some more furnishings for their mansion…

These people were brought up on political correctness, they expect to find something wrong whether it’s really there or not.

Some women are too stupid to even get it when a man does “splian”
Get over it ! That is certainly nothing to get upset about ! What women should get upset about the the “Apesplaining” obamass every time they open their filthy mouths. Barack bragging on islam & mooshell telling parents how to raise their kids !

Universities and colleges need to get a grip and tell people (via Twitter, if needed) that not all things are what they think; that not all men talking to women is sexist.

Sheesh. We’ve NOT come a long way, baby.
