Sen. Rand Paul Will Introduce a Bill to End Aid to Pakistan
Following President Trump’s declaration that the United States would end aid to Pakistan, Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky., says he will introduce a bill in the Senate to cut off Pakistan aid and shift those funds toward legislation to improve American infrastructure in 2018.
“The United States should not give one penny to countries who burn our flag and chant ‘death to America,’” Sen. Paul said in a video posted to Twitter. “Countries like Pakistan, that stonewall access to key information in fighting terrorism, don’t deserve our money. I say we should stop now.”
Noting that the U.S. has sent over $33 billion to Pakistan since 2002 while the regime has aided and abetted terrorists, Paul said he will introduce a bill to cut off the aid.
I’m introducing a bill to end aid to Pakistan in the coming days. My bill will take the money that would have gone to Pakistan and put it in an infrastructure fund to build roads and bridges here at home. pic.twitter.com/SHlA00rWEd

Paul’s bill would instead reallocate those funds to pay for President Trump’s proposed $1 trillion infrastructure plan.
“We need to build our nation, not other countries. It’s time for America-first policy and an end to foreign aid,” Paul said.
On Monday, President Trump kicked off the new year by calling for an end to aid for Pakistan, characterizing it as foolish.
The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools. They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!

And it’s not only aid to Pakistan that could be on the chopping block. The president also suggested cutting off aid to the Palestinian Authority following its decision to quit peace talks with Israel.
…peace treaty with Israel. We have taken Jerusalem, the toughest part of the negotiation, off the table, but Israel, for that, would have had to pay more. But with the Palestinians no longer willing to talk peace, why should we make any of these massive future payments to them?

If President Trump is serious about cutting off foreign aid, he’ll find no better ally in the U.S. Senate than Rand Paul. (For more from the author of “Sen. Rand Paul Will Introduce a Bill to End Aid to Pakistan” please click HERE)
