Virginia Man Threatens to Murder GOP Congressman – Here’s Why

By The Daily Caller. A Virginia man was arrested Friday and charged with threatening to murder U.S. Rep. Scott Taylor and two of his staffers.

Wallace Grove Godwin, a 69-year-old Virginia Beach resident, made the threats during a visit to Taylor’s office on Thursday.

According to court documents filed in federal court on Friday, Godwin became upset during a discussion about marijuana policy. Taylor, a 39-year-old Republican, supports legalizing marijuana. He co-sponsored a 2017 bill that would remove marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act.

“Scott is having an event this Saturday. I am going to get my shotgun and do something about this. I will just handle this myself,” Godwin said, before pointing to two staffers and saying: “You two are next.”

Taylor was not at the office at the time, according to court documents. (Read more from “Virginia Man Threatens to Murder GOP Congressman – Here’s Why” HERE)

Man Arrested for Threatening to Murder Virginia Congressman

By Politico. A Virginia Beach man was charged Friday with threatening to murder his local congressman, Rep. Scott Taylor (R-Va.), the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia announced Friday.

According to court documents, Wallace Grove Godwin, 69, visited Taylor’s office on Thursday and threatened to shoot him and two staffers at a Saturday event. The dispute arose, according to the District Attorney’s office, over a discussion about marijuana policy.

“Scott is having an event this Saturday. I am going to get my shotgun and do something about this. I will just handle this myself,” Godwin allegedly said to a Taylor staffer. He then pointed to two staffers in the room and said, “You two are next,” authorities said.

Gowdin is expected to appear in a federal courthouse in Norfolk, Va. on Friday afternoon. The maximum penalty for threatening a member of Congress is 10 years in prison.

Lawmakers have clamored for more funding for personal security over the last year amid increased hostility at local events — and especially after last year’s baseball practice shooting that left House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) gravely wounded. Motion Filed Against Judge Who Jailed Kim Davis for Christian Beliefs

Lawyers for Kentucky Christian county clerk Kim Davis are appealing a decision by Judge David Bunning, Hall of Fame pitcher Jim Bunning’s son, forcing taxpayers to foot the bill for lawyers defending same-sex duos.

The same-sex couples, who sued Davis for not issuing them marriage licenses in violation of her religious beliefs, won a temporary order from Bunning. But in a brief filed with the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, Liberty Counsel argues that no fees are owed because the case was dismissed when the state changed the law so that Davis’ name would not be required to appear on marriage licenses, the outcome she originally sought . . .

The brief points out that Bunning was so anxious to rule in favor of the homosexual duos that he didn’t wait until he had jurisdiction in the case before holding a hearing . . .

Liberty Counsel noted the litigation was an attempt to “force an ‘all or nothing’ choice between same-sex marriage on one hand, and religious liberties on the other, with no regard whatsoever for any reasonable accommodation.”

The legal team pointed out that some of the plaintiffs traveled through jurisdictions where they could have gotten licenses in order to reach Davis’ jurisdiction, where they demanded she comply. (Read more from “Motion Filed Against Judge Who Jailed Kim Davis for Christian Beliefs” HERE)

Hannity Digs up Dirt on Mueller’s Past and Finds He’s Not So Clean After All

Fox News host Sean Hannity devoted time on his Tuesday show to examining the past of special counsel Robert Mueller and his findings were intriguing.

Hannity referred to a report from Fox News’ Sarah Carter citing Mueller’s career as a prosecutor in the 1980s. When Mueller was serving as assistant U.S. attorney, four men were wrongfully convicted and imprisoned for a crime they did not commit and the special counsel was in charge of the case when it happened.

“Robert Mueller’s career has been anything but impeccable,” Hannity said. “One of the worst stains on his record comes from his time Boston, where he served as assistant U.S. attorney and acting U.S. attorney in the ’80s. During this time notorious Boston mob boss Whitey Bulger, he was actively engaged by the FBI as an informant. The relationship between Bulger and the bureau was wrought with nothing but corruption and criminal collusion.”

“Bulger’s FBI handler, guy by the name of John Connolly covered up for many of the horrific crimes that were committed by Bulger and his associates, including one instance where four men were wrongfully framed and convicted and imprisoned for decades — all for a murder it turns out they did not commit,” Hannity continued. “The men were ultimately exonerated. A judge awarded $101 million in damages, but not before two of the men actually died in prison. Robert Mueller was the U.S. attorney in charge while these men were rotting in prison while certain agents in the FBI under Mueller covered up the truth.” (Read more from “Hannity Digs up Dirt on Mueller’s Past and Finds He’s Not So Clean After All” HERE)

This Mayor Knew He Was Receiving Illegal Donations, Did Nothing

“Listen, I don’t know, I don’t want to know. Just do what you’ve got to do.”

Former donor Harendra Singh testified on Thursday that those were the words of Bill de Blasio in response to Singh offering illegal contributions to the New York mayor’s campaign.

As part of the dual corruption trial of former Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano and former Oyster Bar Town Supervisor John Venditto, Singh is currently serving as the star witness.

Singh has already pleaded guilty to bribing de Blasio, and accepted a plea deal to testify in the trial of Mangano and Venditto. Defense attorneys for the two accused say Singh, a former restauranteur, can’t be trusted.

According to Singh, he raised somewhere between $50,000 and $80,000 for de Blasio, detailing how he’d thrown free fundraisers for the mayor and presented funds via the use of “straw donors” — contributors who give money to campaigns and are reimbursed by the actual donors — an illegal mechanism used to skirt campaign finance laws. Fired FBI Official McCabe Authorized Criminal Probe Of AG Sessions

By The Daily Wire. On Wednesday, a new report claimed that recently-fired senior FBI official Andrew McCabe authorized a criminal investigation into Attorney General Jeff Sessions more than a year ago to determine if he “lacked candor ” when testifying before Congress. . .

Sessions was interviewed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller two months ago about his testimony in which he was asked about his contacts with Russian operatives.

Attorney Chuck Cooper told ABC News, “The Special Counsel’s office has informed me that after interviewing the attorney general and conducting additional investigation, the attorney general is not under investigation for false statements or perjury in his confirmation hearing testimony and related written submissions to Congress.” (Read more from “Fired FBI Official McCabe Authorized Criminal Probe of AG Sessions” HERE)

Fired FBI Official Authorized Criminal Probe of Sessions, sources Say

By ABC News. Nearly a year before Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired senior FBI official Andrew McCabe for what Sessions called a “lack of candor,” McCabe oversaw a federal criminal investigation into whether Sessions lacked candor when testifying before Congress about contacts with Russian operatives, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.

Democratic lawmakers have repeatedly accused Sessions of misleading them in congressional testimony and called on federal authorities to investigate, but McCabe’s previously-unreported decision to actually put the attorney general in the crosshairs of an FBI probe was an exceptional move.

One source told ABC News that Sessions was not aware of the investigation when he decided to fire McCabe last Friday less than 48 hours before McCabe, a former FBI deputy director, was due to retire from government and obtain a full pension, but an attorney representing Sessions declined to confirm that.

Last year, several top Republican and Democratic lawmakers were informed of the probe during a closed-door briefing with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and McCabe, ABC News was told. (Read more from “Fired FBI Official Authorized Criminal Probe of Sessions, sources Say” HERE)

Leftist Site Runs INSANE Piece Bashing Defenders of Free Speech

. . .In a bizarre piece lamenting a new coalition of “far-right” figures rallying around the right to freedom of expression, journalist James Poulter pouts: The “far-right” is “uniting to defend their right to spout bulls*** to whoever will listen.” . . .

Of course, even if these “far-right” figures, or anyone else for that matter, wanted to spread subjectively-deemed “racist garbage,” that, too, should be protected from government censorship and punishment if you actually believe in freedom of expression. A wild concept, I know.

Poulter goes on to identify Tommy Robinson, Martin Sellner, Brittany Pettibone, and Lauren Southern as the “far-right” subjects of his scorn. For their controversial speech, Sellner and Pettibone were deported from the U.K. and Southern was stopped from entering the country under the Terrorism Act. Robinson subsequently held a rally in celebration of free speech at Speakers’ Corner in Hyde Park.

After acknowledging these instances and the stream of censorship occurring on college campuses, Poulter mocks the notion that freedom of speech is under attack at all.

“All of these incidents, combined with the disruption of some talks at universities, have convinced the far-right that their right to free speech is under attack. Robinson even released a video claiming, in characteristically understated manner, that he ‘won’t be around for much longer,'” he writes. Youtube Bans Firearm ‘How to’ Videos

YouTube, a popular media site for firearms enthusiasts, this week quietly introduced tighter restrictions on videos involving weapons, becoming the latest battleground in the U.S. gun-control debate.

YouTube will ban videos that promote or link to websites selling firearms and accessories, including bump stocks, which allow a semi-automatic rifle to fire faster. Additionally, YouTube said it will prohibit videos with instructions on how to assemble firearms. The video site, owned by Alphabet Inc.’s Google, has faced intense criticism for hosting videos about guns, bombs and other deadly weapons.

For many gun-rights supporters, YouTube has been a haven. A current search on the site for “how to build a gun” yields 25 million results, though that includes items such as toys. At least one producer of gun videos saw its page suspended on Tuesday. Another channel opted to move its videos to an adult-content site, saying that will offer more freedom than YouTube.

“We routinely make updates and adjustments to our enforcement guidelines across all of our policies,” a YouTube spokeswoman said in a statement. “While we’ve long prohibited the sale of firearms, we recently notified creators of updates we will be making around content promoting the sale or manufacture of firearms and their accessories.”

YouTube has placed greater restrictions on content several times in the past year, responding to a series of issues with inappropriate and offensive videos. Most of those changes involved pulling ads from categories of videos. Google is more reluctant to remove entire videos from YouTube, but has been willing to do so with terrorism-related content. U.S. Muslim, Former FBI Informant Found Guilty of Trying to Create ‘ISIS Inspired’ Cell

An Ohio jury on Tuesday found a former FBI informant guilty of trying to create a terrorist cell in the U.S. to carry out attacks in the name of the Islamic State.

Erick Jamal Hendricks, of Charlotte, North Carolina, faces up to 30 years in federal prison following the jury’s decision to convict him on charges of conspiracy and attempting to provide material support and resources to a foreign terrorist organization.

Authorities say Hendricks’ mission was to recruit and train ISIS sympathizers to carry out attacks on U.S. soil. He vetted people to see if they were suitable to join his cell and espoused radical views. He instructed others to vet additional possible recruits through social media, authorities say.

Following testimony that lasted about a week, the jury announced its decision Tuesday morning. Deliberations had begun the prior afternoon. U.S. District Judge John Adams will sentence Hendricks at a later date.

“Protecting our citizens from terrorist attacks remains our priority and our community will be safer with this defendant behind bars,” U.S. Attorney Justin Herdman said in a statement. (Read more from “U.S. Muslim, Former FBI Informant Found Guilty of Trying to Create ‘ISIS Inspired’ Cell” HERE)

Gunfire Erupts: Bizarre Twist in Seth Rich Murder

By WND. . .As WND has reported, Jack Burkman, a lobbyist who has been investigating the Rich murder, has also filed a federal lawsuit that accuses Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee of rigging the 2016 presidential primary. The complaint by Burkman also demanded the release of the hacked DNC server.

More recently, Burkman had offered a $25,000 reward to FBI whistleblowers willing to provide information about the agency’s treatment of the Clinton email investigation and the Russia probe . . .

Doherty, who was charged Monday, had worked as the lead investigator for the Profiling Project, a team of private, nonpartisan investigators hired by Burkman to probe the Rich murder. As WND reported, the group released an 80-page report in June containing preliminary findings, primarily concluding that Rich’s killing was not random, as police have long claimed, but “more likely (was) committed by a hired killer or serial killer.”

The project, an “all-volunteer group of current and former George Washington University forensic psychology graduate students and instructors,” said it came together for the investigation to “aid the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police utilizing forensic psychology skills and tools in hopes of providing at least one actionable item.”. . .

Private investigators have claimed there is evidence Rich was the source WikiLeaks used to obtain thousands of Democratic National Committee emails released on the eve of the party’s presidential nominating convention last July. The emails, indicating the party was manipulating the primary race in favor of Hillary Clinton, led to the resignation of DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. On July 22, just 12 days after Rich’s death and days before the Democratic Party Convention in Philadelphia, WikiLeaks released 20,000 emails from DNC officials. Seth Rich Investigator: A Fake FBI Informant Lured Me Into Parking Garage and Shot Me

By Big League Politics. Lobbyist Jack Burkman, who has spent the past year and a half investigating the 2016 murder of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich, tells Big League Politics in an exclusive interview that he was shot twice and hit by a black SUV after being led into a Virginia parking garage by a supposed FBI informant.

A fellow Seth Rich investigator has been arrested and charged for the shooting. Burkman says he did not definitively recognize the suspect during the shooting.

“The doctor said I’m the luckiest guy in the world. They think it was a .22. One inch in either direction it would have hit an artery, and the bullets could have gone up into my stomach. I’m lucky beyond comprehension. There were ten ways to die,” Burkman told Big League Politics. Burkman suffered a broken arm, broken wrist, and bruised ribs after being hit by an SUV following his shooting . . .

Last month, Burkman received a new round of emails on his Proton email account from a supposed FBI informant using a fake name.

“He approached me about a month ago as an FBI informant who had information that we wanted,” Burkman said. “We never met, we were just doing drops through a Proton email. He gave me fake resumes that looked real and fake credentials. What he was doing was luring me to this parking garage and he opened fire. He fired a .22, once in the leg, once in the butt.” (Read more from “Seth Rich Investigator: A Fake FBI Informant Lured Me Into Parking Garage and Shot Me” HERE)
