Watch: Massive Fire Tornado That Killed Firefighter

Recently released video from Cal Fire shows the most intense tornado ever in California history that trapped and killed a firefighter in Redding last month.

37-year-old Jeremiah “Jeremy” Stoke was a longtime Redding Fire Department veteran. According to Cal fire, on July 26th, he was driving his truck in northwest Redding and helping evacuate residents from the Carr Fire when he got into trouble.

. . .

While it was not the first documented fire tornado in California – a similar event happened at Coffey Park last October, for instance – but it was certainly the most powerful.

Even for fire researchers like Craig Clements, the director at the SJSU Fire Weather Research Lab, who had seen fire whirls before, it was an extraordinary event.

The video released by Cal Fire clearly shows the Carr Fire winds and flames moving in opposite directions forming a massive vortex. (Read more from “Watch: Massive Fire Tornado That Killed Firefighter” HERE)

Horror: 71 Overdoses Rock Park Near Yale in Just One Day

On Wednesday, New Haven, Connecticut, underwent a lengthy day of horrific overdoses, all caused by what is thought to be one batch of synthetic marijuana, also known as K2.

As many as 76 overdoses occurred in 24 hours. Most of them were at a city park called The Green, but seven occurred between Fair Haven and Westville.

After three overdoses occurred on The Green Tuesday night, police stationed themselves there to prepare for any other overdoses, City Office of Emergency Management Director Rick Fontana told the Regiswter. The officers were also there to prevent any more buyers from purchasing the synthetic cannabinoid K2, which authorities believed could have been laced with the deadly drug fentanyl.

By Thursday afternoon, according to CNN, there an additional 19 overdoses in the area, bringing the total to 95.

Synthetic marijuana “is plant material sprayed with chemicals that mimic the high from real marijuana,” according to Fox News.

Fontana confirmed that 71 people had overdosed between 8 a.m. and 9:28 p,m, on Wednesday. That number increased as the night went on.

According to Fox News, call after call came in to the police department, as bystanders would pass by and spot victims drop, one by one.

“We have a guy laid out in the alley way, unresponsive, eyes wide open. He’s out cold,” an unidentified bystander said as they stood on The Green, according to the Register.

Another bystander called 911 after spotting a man acting strangely.

“All I know is that he was sitting on the chair first, then on the ground, back on the chair and then back on the ground, shaking like crazy,” the caller said.

“This was a particularly odd, rare occasion where (there was) call after call for man down, obviously with symptoms of some kind of overdose, and at the time of getting that patient packaged and transported to the hospital, we’d see another immediately fall down, right there,” Lt. Ernest Jones, an emergency medical technician for the New Haven Fire Department, told the Register.

“At that point, we’d go help that patient, and while helping that patient, another person went down. So it became a domino effect.”

CBS News reported that symptoms were spotted such as “vomiting, hallucinating, high blood pressure, shallow breathing, semi-conscious and unconscious states.”

Police officers and other first responders often use Narcan, the brand name form of the drug naloxone, to revive victims of drug overdoses of this type, but the dosages carried by the New Have officers weren’t strong enough to be effective, Fox News reported. Most of the victims had to be taken to area hospitals were they were treated with a series of stronger doses before they could be released, according to the Hartford Courant.

Eventually, Police Chief Anthony Campbell took to camera to urge citizens not to purchase this K2:

“Do not come down to the Green and purchase this K2,” he told WVIT-TV. “It is taking people out very quickly, people having respiratory failure. Don’t put your life in harm.”

Police did end up arresting 37-year-old identifed as Felix Melendez in connection with the overdoses, the Courant reported. He has a lengthy, drug-related criminal history, with an arrest as recent as May. (For more from the author of “Horror: 71 Overdoses Rock Park Near Yale in Just 1 Day” please click HERE)

Watch: Sacha Cohen Dupes Another Pro-Gun Advocate…But This Time It’s Much Worse

Last month, Borat actor Sacha Baron Cohen released the first video of his new Showtime series Who Is America? The video featured Virginia Citizens Defense League President Philip Van Cleave who used stuffed animals to tell kids how to fire guns at the bad guys. In fact, Cohen and Van Cleave had an entire “how to” video for these preschool-aged children.

The second promo video of the series was released a few days ago. Cohen’s character, Israeli terror expert Erran Morad, had a discussion with Youth Shooters of America President about promoting the shooting sports, particularly among kids. . .

To make matters even worse, Cohen tricked Roberts into putting a sex toy in his mouth as a means of surviving a terrorist beheading. The idea is that the victim bites the attacker’s genitalia while yelling orders. Eventually the attacker will drop their weapon and the victim will no longer be in danger. . .

It’s absolutely mind boggling that Roberts willingly went along with what “Erran Morad” suggested. Why would anyone in their right mind partake in this exercise? Most normal people would not meet someone and then participate in an exercise that involves putting a sex toy in their mouth.

This is only the second video in a string of them that we’re going to see and guess what? So far, Cohen’s desire to make gun owners look like idiots is working like a charm. Gun rights activists are falling right into Cohen’s traps.

Trump ‘Appropriately’ Snubs John Mccain During Bill Signing Intended to Honor Him

. . .In extended remarks during a visit to Fort Drum in upstate New York to sign the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 — this year’s version of an annual bill that sets defense policy — Trump chose not to mention the former prisoner of war and Senate Armed Services Committee chairman who is battling brain cancer. He even omitted McCain’s name when citing the title of the bill.

The two men have long been fierce critics of each other, with McCain calling Trump’s supporters “crazies” in 2015 and Trump retaliating by questioning whether McCain, who was subjected to torture in a Vietnamese prison camp, is really a “war hero” because “he was captured.”

The snub at Fort Drum, home to the combat aviation brigade of the Army’s 10th Mountain Division, did not escape the notice of McCain’s allies.

“For those asking did I expect Trump to be an a—— today. No more than I expected it to be Monday,” Mark Salter, McCain’s longtime aide, wrote on Twitter.

McCain’s condition — dire enough that a recent HBO documentary on him was titled “John McCain: For Whom the Bell Tolls” — has not stopped Trump from deriding the Arizona senator at political rallies. Though Trump does not use his name, he tells crowds that he would have been able to repeal Obamacare if not for a thumbs-down sign from one senator — McCain. Watch: Huge Actor Uses Teen Choice Awards Stage to Reach Young Souls

Here’s something to brighten up your Monday: Actor Chris Pratt gave another terrific acceptance speech in which he openly talked about his faith and honored God at the Teen Choice Awards.

Pratt won the Choice Summer Movie Actor award for his role in “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.”

“I’m so thrilled to be here; I have not been a teen for quite some time,” Pratt said. “This means a lot to me.”

“I want to thank God. I always do that when I’m up on a big platform in front of a bunch of young faces,” he continued.

“I love God; that’s my thing, I love him! And you should too!”

This isn’t the first time Pratt has publicly called for his fans to love God. In June at the MTV movie awards, Pratt offered advice to the young people in the audience as he accepted the Generation award.

“You have a soul. Be careful with it,” Pratt said. “God is real. God loves you. God wants the best for you. Believe that. I do.” (For more from the author of “Huge Actor Uses Teen Choice Awards Stage to Reach Young Souls” please click HERE)

Watch: Gun Control Group Launches Ad Campaign to Prevent ‘Family Fire’ Shootings

The Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, the Ad Council and Droga5 have partnered together to launch the “End Family Fire” ad campaign, which focuses on encouraging parents to store firearms in a gun safe.

The campaign defines family fire as “a shooting death or injury involving an improperly stored or misused gun found in the home. Incidents include unintentional shootings, suicides and other gun-related tragedies.”

According to a 2015 survey that was published in the Journal of Urban Health, more than 4.6 million children live in a home with loaded firearms that are not properly stored.

“We can all agree, eight children being unintentionally shot and injured or killed every day is simply unconscionable,” Kris Brown, co-president of the Brady Center said in a statement. “Just like the term ‘designated driver’ changed perceptions about drinking and driving, the term ‘Family Fire’ will help create public awareness to change attitudes and actions around this important matter. This is a nonpolitical issue where gun owners and non-gun owners alike can come together and play a role in reducing the number of innocent lives lost to gun violence.”

The “End Family Fire” campaign is relying on media outlets to donate ad space for its cause. FOX Networks Group, Bustle Media Group, Refinery29, Upworthy, Meredith Corporation and the Condé Nast portfolio have all donated to the cause. Zenith USA has donated media relations support. Judge Makes Stunning Decision in Muslim Extremist Compound Case After Charges of Racism

In a hearing Monday, a New Mexico judge found that suspects in a bizarre child abuse case were not a danger to the public, and released them on bond. . .

Two Muslim men and three women are charged with 11 counts of child abuse each after police raided their compound in New Mexico and discovered 11 malnourished children living in squalor.

Their lawyer argued that there was a double standard in the case because his clients were Muslims. He argued that if they had been Christian and white, “we might not be here today.”

Despite law enforcement authorities saying that they believe that the children were being trained to attack innocents, and that the adults were radicalized, Judge Sarah Backus released the suspects. . .

The Taos County Sheriff’s office raided the compound after police in Georgia informed them of a message coming from one of the denizens saying they had no food or water and needed help.

Left-Wing Antifa Thugs Attack Media and Police

On Saturday evening, NBC News correspondent Cal Perry and his camera crew were assaulted by a group of violent Antifa members in Charlottesville, VA. Antifa claimed they were there to promote safety during the one year anniversary of Heather Heyer’s death, but video footage shows this to be the opposite.

[Warning: videos contain graphic content.]

As noted by Newsbusters, one Twitter user responded to the scenes of violence perpetrated by Antifa by saying “f**k off media vulture.” Perry replied, “Yeah. We’re getting a lot of this. Protesters trying to grab our camera.

This morning, Perry praised the actions of Charlottesville police for keeping the situation relatively under control. He posted more footage showing hordes of let-wig anarchists hurling epithets against police, advocating violence, and resisting arrest.

‘Suicidal’ Mechanic Steals Plane From Seattle Airport

By Washington Post. A “suicidal” airline mechanic stole an empty Horizon Airlines plane, took off from Sea-Tac International Airport and was chased by military jets before crashing near a small island in the Puget Sound on Friday night, officials said.

Preliminary information suggests that the 29-year-old mechanic stole the Horizon Air Q400 and the crash occurred because he was “doing stunts in air or lack of flying skills,” the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department said.

Ed Troyer, a spokesman for the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, said on Twitter the man was suicidal and there was no connection to terrorism. (Read more from “‘Suicidal’ Mechanic Steals Plane From Seattle Airport” HERE)

Bad Storm Blows American Flag to the Ground — Army Sergeants Were There in Seconds

Two Army recruiters in Michigan rescued a flag from a severe rainstorm that had knocked it over outside Top Gun Shooting Sports, Fox News reported Friday.

The recruiters were attending a “Patriot Week” event at the gun shop when the storm’s harsh winds and rains brought down the flag outside the store. Staff Sgt. Eric Barkhorn and Staff Sgt. Jared Ferguson were captured on the store’s surveillance camera running into the storm to rescue the fallen flag.

Watch:

I kept thinking to myself, ‘I am not going to leave the flag on the ground,’” Barkhorn told “Fox & Friends” Friday. “The flag means everything to me. It’s everything we stand for, it’s everything we fight for.”

Top Gun Shooting Sports owner Mike Barbour said that a new flagpole has been set up since the storm, which caused over $100,000 in damage to the building.

Fox reports the sergeants say they were “just doing what any soldiers would do in that situation.” (For more from the author of “Bad Storm Blows American Flag to the Ground — Army Sergeants Were There in Seconds” please click HERE)
