Watch: Woman Sucked out of Airplane During Flight

By WND. A female passenger aboard a Southwest Airlines flight was partially sucked out of her plane Tuesday after a window was shattered by an exploding jet engine.

One passenger has died after the person was transported to the hospital in critical condition. It’s unclear whether the deceased passenger is the same person as the woman who was sucked through a window.

National Transportation Safety Board chairman Robert Sumwalt said there’s been a “fatality” but wouldn’t provide more details.

Shrapnel from the engine blast shattered the woman’s window. The flight landed safely in Philadelphia after the incident, according to NBC 10 in Philadelphia. It was originally headed from New York to Dallas.

Todd Baur, a passenger on the flight, told the news station: “One passenger, a woman, was partially … was drawn out towards the out of the plane … was pulled back in by other passengers.”

Woman Who Died After Southwest Airline Explosion Identified as Mom of 2 and Bank Executive

By People. The passenger who died after an engine explosion during a Southwest Airlines flight en route to Dallas from New York City has been identified.

Jennifer Riordan was a bank executive and mother of two, according to the Associated Press. She died after her plane’s engine exploded and shrapnel broke a window, the wire reported.

It is understood that Riordan was critically injured as she was sucked out the window. While other passengers were able to pull her back into the aircraft, witnesses reported that she was in cardiac arrest.

An assistant principal at her children’s school, Albuquerque Catholic School, was the first to share the news of her death in an email to parents, the outlet reported.

Her family released a statement obtained by a WFAA-TV reporter, writing, “Jennifer Riordan has passed away as a result of previously reported events on Southwest Airlines flight #1380.” (Read more from “Woman Who Died After Southwest Airline Explosion Identified as Mom of 2 and Bank Executive” HERE)

Syrian Survivor Praises Trump, Says the One Thing Liberals Don’t Want to Hear

By Bizpac Review. A Syrian refugee praised President Trump for his decision, unlike his predecessor, to “do something” about the chemical attacks in his country.

Liberals may be fainting or fuming over Trump’s decision to carry out a missile attack on Syria, but one Syrian refugee is extremely thankful that it is Trump and not former President Obama who is in office.

“I just want to tell Mr. Trump directly: I’m a Syrian refugee who survived chemical weapons attacks, who lived under two years of siege and bombardment by the government,” Kassem Eid told CNN.

Eid, who survived the 2013 Syrian chemical attack, celebrated Trump’s intervention which was the opposite of Obama’s lack of action against Syria.

He hoped to be able to tell the president that he “proved once again, yesterday, that you have a big heart. At least a lot more bigger than Obama because you actually tried to do something. We need real, long-term commitment to bring peace to Syria.” (Read more from “Syrian Survivor Praises Trump, Says the One Thing Liberals Don’t Want to Hear” HERE)

Syria Air Strikes: Russia Denies Tampering With Suspected Chemical Attack Site

By BBC. Russia has denied interfering with evidence at the site of the suspected Syrian chemical attack, which led to Western air strikes on Saturday.

In an interview for BBC’s Hardtalk, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said: “I can guarantee that Russia has not tampered with the site.”

The US raised concern at the international chemical weapons agency.

International inspectors will be allowed to visit the site on Wednesday, the Russian military has announced.

A nine-strong team from the agency, the OPCW (Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons), has been waiting nearby in the Syrian capital Damascus for the green light. (Read more from “Syria Air Strikes: Russia Denies Tampering With Suspected Chemical Attack Site” HERE)

This Is How People Are Boycotting Starbucks After Black Men Were Arrested

By Business Insider. Starbucks customers are posting photos of themselves drinking coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts, Panera, and local coffee shops as backlash against the coffee giant builds.

A video of two black men being arrested while waiting for a friend at a Philadelphia Starbucks last Thursday went viral, sparking backlash. Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson apologized over the weekend — but boycott threats against the chain are still gaining steam.

People are organizing under the #BoycottStarbucks hashtag to show their new drinks of choice, many from black-owned coffee shops:

Starbucks Is Under Fire After Shocking Footage Emerges of 2 Black Men Being Arrested After Using the Restroom — and It Reveals a Growing Problem

By Business Insider. Starbucks’ CEO was forced to apologize this weekend after a video of two black men being arrested at a Philadelphia location of the coffee chain went viral. Employees called the police after the men refused to leave the Starbucks after asking to use the restroom without having purchased any drinks.

“Regretfully, our practices and training led to a bad outcome — the basis for the call to the Philadelphia police department was wrong,” Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson said in a statement. “Our store manager never intended for these men to be arrested and this should never have escalated as it did.”

This is not the first time that Starbucks has faced backlash for apparently targeting and excluding certain groups of people.

In 2016, three Starbucks locations in parts of Los Angeles with large homeless populations closed their bathrooms to customers and non-customers to discourage homeless people from visiting to use the restrooms and free Wi-Fi. In 2007, a woman was thrown out of a Starbucks because management thought she was homeless. And, in 2001, Seattle activists organized a boycott against Starbucks after an African-American man was shot by the police, arguing that the chain’s gentrifying influence contributed to his death. BOMBSHELL: Comey Says This Is the Reason the Hillary Probe Was Reopened

By The Daily Wire. In a pre-recorded interview set to air on Sunday night on ABC News, former FBI Director James Comey revealed that he announced that he was reopening the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server in October 2017 because he assumed she would win the election and he did not want her to be viewed as an illegitimate president.

Speaking to ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, Comey said he hopes that his decision to reopen to the investigation was not the reason she lost the election . . .

“And so I’m sure that it was a factor,” Comey continued. “That she’s going to be elected President and if I hide this from the American people, she’ll be illegitimate the moment she’s elected, the moment this comes out.” (Read more from “BOMBSHELL: Comey Says This Is the Reason the Hillary Probe Was Reopened” HERE)

Comey Defends His Handling of the Clinton Email Saga in Bombshell Interview

By ABC News. James Comey said when he met Donald Trump during the transition, he was nervous . . .

The move struck Comey not only because it was atypical to involve intelligence agency heads in those discussions, but because it also made him think of his past work prosecuting mafia bosses. He said it felt as if Trump and his team were trying to make it feel like Comey and the other intelligence heads there were all working as part of the same team – or in mafia terms – part of the family.

“We’re all part of the messaging, we’re all part of the effort. The boss is at the head of the table and we’re gonna figure out together how to do this,” Comey said.

Comey said he believed it’s “very strange” to be comparing the then-incoming president to a mob boss, but it was a comparison he included in his book.

“I’m not trying to … suggest that President Trump is out breaking legs and shaking down shopkeepers. But instead, what I’m talking about is that leadership culture constantly comes back to me when I think about my experience with the Trump administration,” Comey said. Local Weatherman Has Hilarious on Air Meltdown After Coworkers Complain About Forecast Once Too Much

One fed-up Michigan meteorologist let loose like a winter snowstorm Tuesday after his coworkers complained about his weather report AGAIN.

Source: Michigan Meteorologist Weather Rant by BPR

“You guys are dragging me down. Every time I get done with the seven-day (forecast), you guys are like, ‘Ughhh, goshh, ahhh,’” Grand Rapids station WXMI meteorologist Garry Frank said live on air after his coworkers started whining again about Michigan’s blistering cold weather.

“Doesn’t matter what time I come on. 4:30, 5:30, 6:30, and then you expect me to be chipper for five straight hours. It’s miserable. What do you want me to do, lie to you? I’ll put 70 every day next time,” he added . . .

No worries, because his coworkers took his rant with good humor. So did the rest of America, which quickly elevated Frank to hero status for his willingness to keep it oh so real with us:

“So people keep asking me about the warm up and such. But the anchors and everyone always reacted the SAME way all week. I mentioned a couple of warm days and they STILL focused on the cold after,” he said to BuzzFeed. Does This Video Show Jesus’ Blood Leaking Out of His ‘Tomb’?

Conspiracy theorists claim the alleged tomb of Jesus is ‘leaking blood’ after a video appeared to show red liquid pooling on top of it.

Shaky footage shot at the Stone of Anointing in Jerusalem showed red patches on top of the slab as excited believers shouted in the background . . .

‘The leaking blood phenomenon is usually explained by more mundane things,’ Nigel Watson, author of Haynes UFO Investigations Manual, told MailOnline. . .

Nicola Kanaan, from Galilee, claimed to have seen the ‘blood’ coming out of the tomb as she captured the footage . . .

The stone is inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, one of the holiest sites in Christianity where Jesus’ body is believed to have been prepared for burial. (Read more from “Does This Video Show Jesus’ Blood Leaking Out of His ‘Tomb’?” HERE)

Nikki Haley Stuns as She Throws Away Script and Rips Into Russian Ambassador on UN Floor

By Bizpac Review. U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley ripped Russia a new one Friday over their continued defense of Syria dictator Bashar al-Assad in face of a reported chemical weapons attack on civilians.

Haley let Russian Ambassador to the UN Vassily Nebenzia know that she’s hip to the propaganda the diplomat was laying down, saying: “I’m in awe, Vassily, that you said what you said with a straight face. I really, really am.”

Source: Nikki Haley: ‘If Russia lived up to its commitment, there would be no chemical weapons in Syria" by BPR

Haley’s remarks followed Russian Ambassador to the UN Vassily Nebenzia, who said at Friday’s meeting of the Security Council “there’s no credible proof” of the chemical attack and Moscow believes “what took place was a provocation of certain countries intelligence services,” according to CNN.

The eye-to-eye counter from Haley broke from her prepared remarks. She went on to comment on Russia’s expressed concerns about “unilateral threats related to Syria.”

“What is strange is that Russia is ignoring the real threat to international peace and security that has brought us all here,” Haley told the body. “And it is ignoring its own unilateral responsibility for all of it.” (Read more from “Nikki Haley Stuns as She Throws Away Script and Rips Into Russian Ambassador on UN Floor” HERE)

Haley Slams Russia Over Syria Chemical Attack

By CNN. US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley stated Friday that chemical weapons were used in an attack in Syria that left scores dead and she blamed Russia for complicity, as the Trump administration continues to weigh how to retaliate and Russia maintains its denial that the attack took place.

“Did a chemical weapons attack happen? Yes,” Haley said, speaking to reporters before a meeting of the Security Council. “The US has analyzed, yes it has happened. The UK has analyzed, yes, it has happened. And France has analyzed, yes, it has happened. Three countries.” . . .

She told the council that President Donald Trump “has not yet made a decision about possible action in Syria, but should the United States and our allies decide to act in Syria, it will be in defense of a principle on which we all agree.” . . .

“You don’t rush decisions like this,” she told reporters. “We’re making sure we have all the information to know if we do something, what will happen, how will it happen and will it hurt anyone.” (Read more from “Haley Slams Russia Over Syria Chemical Attack” HERE)

Kidnapped Child Uses Smarts to Thwart Abduction

By NBC San Diego. An 8-year-old girl who, along with her toddler brother, was inside of a car when it was stolen in Encanto was able to discretely call 911 from the back seat and help police arrest her captor before they crossed the border into Mexico, police said.

The father of the two children said he left them in his car with the engine on and air conditioning running while he ran into a beauty supply store on Imperial Avenue at about 12:30 p.m., according to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD).

Rodney Cole told NBC 7 he was only making a quick stop to purchase some hair ties for his daughter.

A witness to the robbery and kidnapping said a woman was bouncing a basketball near the car when she dropped it suddenly and peered into Cole’s car, presumably to see if the keys were still inside, and jumped in . . .

“I almost caught the car but she started driving erratically,” Cole said with his children at his side. “She got to the light and ran the light and made a left, and I was just stuck in the middle of the street crying and bawling. I didn’t know what to do, these are my babies.” (Read more from “Kidnapped Child Uses Smarts to Thwart Abduction” HERE)

How a Child Used Smarts to Save Herself and Brother From Abduction

By The Blaze. Cole called 911, KNSD reported — and then minutes later his daughter did the same thing from her own cellphone. Cole gave it to Malaiha in case of an emergency, KABC reported. She’s had it since she was 5, KNSD said.

“I said, ‘If you don’t take us back to our daddy, I’ll call police.’ Then I called 911,” Malaiha told KNSD she told her abductor.

“They said, ‘911, what’s your emergency?’ And I said, ‘Me and my little brother got kidnapped,’” Malaiha told KABC. “She said, ‘Can you tell us where you are? What do you see?’ I said, ‘I see signs that say Mexico border.’”

Malaiha told KABC the woman “tried to take the phone from me, but then I moved away from her. She said, ‘Give me the phone or I’m going to drive in circles and crash into the freeway wall.’”

While Malaiha said she eventually gave the phone to the woman, by then authorities knew where they were, KABC noted. (Read more from “How a Child Used Smarts to Save Herself and Brother From Abduction” HERE)

By The Daily Wire. On Wednesday, during Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s testimony before the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Rep. Ben Lujan (D-NM) revealed the number of data points that Facebook has on both users and non-users of the social media platform.

“On average, how many data points does Facebook have on each Facebook user?” Lujan asked Zuckerberg . . .

Facebook Has Been Worried About Data Leaks Like This Since It Went Public in 2012

By CNBC. Revelations of a massive data leak at Facebook have shocked users, investors, lawmakers and even some top executives in recent weeks — but the company warned of third-party breaches and government regulation more than six years ago when it first filed to go public.

In its 2012 IPO prospectus, Facebook called “improper access to or disclosure of our users’ information” a risk factor that could potentially harm the company’s reputation and financial outlook.

Here is the excerpt:

“Our efforts to protect the information that our users have chosen to share using Facebook may be unsuccessful due to the actions of third parties, software bugs or other technical malfunctions, employee error or malfeasance, or other factors. In addition, third parties may attempt to fraudulently induce employees or users to disclose information in order to gain access to our data or our users’ data. If any of these events occur, our users’ information could be accessed or disclosed improperly.”

None of that excuses Facebook’s data control and privacy problems that have been exposed to the world in recent weeks. But the cautionary disclosure suggests that the social media giant knew the general risks associated with its massive open platform. Watch Ted Cruz Savage Mark Zuckerberg Over Facebook’s Liberal Bias

By The Federalist. Republican Sen. Ted Cruz savaged Mark Zuckerberg over Facebook’s tendency to shut down and silence conservatives and conservative ideas in a hearing on Tuesday.

Cruz asked Zuckerberg if Facebook considered itself a “neutral public forum,” making the Silicon Valley billionaire squirm.

“Senator, we consider ourselves to be a platform for all ideas,” Zuckerberg replied. “Our goal is certainly not to engage in political speech.”

Cruz proceeded to list a number of conservative Facebook pages that had faced censorship from the social network. (Read more from “Watch Ted Cruz Savage Mark Zuckerberg Over Facebook’s Liberal Bias” HERE)

Zuckerberg Apologizes, Promises Reform as Senators Grill Him Over Facebook’s Failings

By The Washington Post. Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg endured an hours-long grilling by dozens of U.S. senators Tuesday during which he repeatedly apologized and promised privacy reforms but also pointedly defended his company against the threat of new legislation.

Zuckerberg invoked Facebook’s unlikely journey — from a tiny start-up he co-founded in his Harvard dorm room 14 years ago to a social media behemoth — in explaining Facebook’s frequent privacy missteps and its failure to spot and defeat Russia’s aggressive campaign to manipulate American voters in 2016 and beyond.

Senators repeatedly challenged Zuckerberg’s explanations in the wide-ranging hearing, a rare joint session before two Senate panels — the Commerce and Judiciary committees — with 42 senators questioning the Facebook executive . . .

Zuckerberg took responsibility for the missteps. “We didn’t take a broad enough view of our responsibility, and that was a big mistake. And it was my mistake, and I’m sorry. I started Facebook, I run it, and I’m responsible for what happens here.” (Read more from “Zuckerberg Apologizes, Promises Reform as Senators Grill Him Over Facebook’s Failings” HERE)
