The original article is very, very biased and not at all accurate. This is a situation with which I am very familiar, because I know some of the people involved, I have been to the location where this is happening numerous times, etc. I have also read local accounts of the situation in the newspapers. Tombstone does NOT own all the water in two canyons. There are a number of people who own property in these canyons, and THEY have water rights, granted when their predecessors received land patents from the United States government, which is title to the land. Those patents never reserved the right to any state or local government to construct or maintain waterworks which deprive them of their water rights. Tombstone ran roughshod over these people’s water rights. It violated property boundaries. It stole and diverted water that belonged to the owners in the area. It cut down trees on federal land without permission. It is at least partly to blame for its water troubles. The town has a large water tank that is badly in need of repairs. It is known that they lost at least 300,000 gallons of water, and they refuse to repair the tank. They’re crying in their beer about not having the water to fill the municipal swimming pool, even as they take water that was being used to grow apple orchards in the mountains, which provided income to the owners. It has blocked access to people’s property and torn up the road. None of this was reported. This situation dates back at least a century and a half. Tombstone’s claims are based on some letters. The claimants whose rights they are violating own those rights by virtue of federal LAWS. Obama had nothing to do with the situation. This is a case of a municipality against individual land owners. It is a case of a municipality destroying trees and roadways on federal land. It has nothing to do with the rights of states and municipalities over and against the federal government.

This is good news. BUT, we have a lot to do yet if we want to maintain the House, win the Senate, and unseat the pretender in November. We need to amend the White House Biographies and include that Obummer never won a 2nd term to all those changes that the would-be dictator has written.
