Former Clinton Pollster Says Dumping Biden for Kamala Won’t Help Dems, Voters Give Admin ‘Low Rating’ on Issues

A pollster who once worked for former President Bill Clinton said that dumping President Joe Biden would not help Democrats in the 2024 election because of the president’s poor rating on multiple issues.

Pollster and commentator Mark Penn told “America Reports” co-hosts Dana Perino and Bill Hemmer that even if Vice President Kamala Harris stepped in to replace Biden, crime, inflation and immigration would still drag Democrats down.

Multiple Democrats have called on Biden to end his reelection campaign since he delivered a poor performance during a June 27 debate with former President Donald Trump hosted by CNN.

“Will Vice President Harris do better? Her poll numbers are slightly below Joe Biden’s. Take him out, put her in — I don’t actually think it changes, to be honest,” Penn said. “People aren’t really voting on this. They are voting because inflation is bad, immigration is bad, crime is bad and they give this administration a low rating. If he had ratings in the 50s, nobody would care what he said anywhere.”
