GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump promised that while he may “act differently” in the general election should he become the nominee, his “thought process” will still be the same.
“Well I may act differently, but my thought process is the same,” Trump told his supporters and the media who gathered at his victory party in Midtown Manhattan Tuesday night. The billionaire businessman swept all five states that held primaries Tuesday and by pretty significant margins.
“You know, when I speak to a group of 10 people in a conference room, I’m not going to be speaking the same way I spoke in Pennsylvania yesterday to 25,000 people,” Trump said during the event at Trump Tower. “It’s a very different thing, but I’ll be saying very similar things” . . .
Although it’s too soon to tell exactly how all of the 172 delegates at stake Tuesday will be divvied up among the three remaining Republican presidential candidates, Trump’s huge leads in all five states sets the candidate up to receive a serious chunk which could potentially put him over the 1,000 delegates mark — and that much closer to the 1,237 delegates needed. The Obama administration isn’t vetting the social media profiles of all Syrian refugees despite promises made last year after the San Bernardino terrorist attack, which exposed holes in the U.S. immigration screening process.
Concerns over refugee screening spurred Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback, a Republican, on Tuesday to cancel his state’s cooperation with federal authorities trying to resettle Syrians.
It was another blow to the administration’s attempts to reach President Obama’s goal of accepting 10,000 Syrians this fiscal year.
With a little more than five months left in the fiscal year, the government is 8,370 refugees short of its goal. Lawmakers on Capitol Hill say they fear the administration will reduce screening even more to speed up the process. To meet the president’s target, immigration officials would have to approve about 75 applications every workday for the rest of the fiscal year — nearly seven times the average so far.
“What is far more important than the arbitrary number of 10,000 is whether these refugees can be properly screened. If the answer is no, which is obviously the case given testimony by the FBI director and homeland security secretary, then we should not let a single one into the country,” said Rep. Vern Buchanan, Florida Republican. (Read more from “Obama Administration Fails to Screen Syrian Refugees’ Social Media Accounts” HERE)

Former convict Malcolm B. Benson has been sentenced to life in prison for shooting Army veteran Stanley Carter last September, just as top GOP leaders are pushing GOP legislators to pass a criminal “reform” bill that would provide early release to many more criminals.
Benson served 19 years after being charged in 1995 with first-degree murder and a felony firearms charge. He was sentenced to 20 to 40 years, but got out early on “good behavior” — and then used his second chance in life to kill Carter at a Detroit bus stop just months after his release.
As Georgetown adjunct professor Bill Otis asks: “When early release goes wrong, as it so often does, who pays the price?”
That’s the question facing Republican lawmakers as they debate whether to join the bipartisan leadership push for a national early release program, which would provide an early release for thousands of violent criminals, on top of the perhaps 30,000 criminals — plus tens of thousands of foreign criminals — that President Barack Obama administration and its allies are releasing back to American streets.
This week, according to a congressional source, House Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan is pushing GOP legislators is to approve the new criminal-release bill by hiding it in a set of popular bills that are intended to curb the growing drug-overdose crisis. That drug crisis is being caused by criminals, many of whom have already been released after prior prison sentences. The Sunday New York Times continued its drip marketing campaign to position Hillary as trustworthy, this time utilizing another of its Leni Riefenstahl clones.
In this case, someone named “Little Nicky Kristof”, if that is his real name, took a crack at resurrecting Hillary’s horrid reputation.
Kristof’s unintentionally comedic offal was entitled “Debunking the ‘Crooked Hillary’ Myth”, which is somewhat akin to “Debunking the ‘Sun is Hot’ Myth”.
Clinton defenders like to grade on a curve, and suggest all pragmatic politicians blur the truth a little, even suggesting voters should want someone who blurs the truth like this. On issues, Kristof writes, “she can be infuriatingly evasive,” but “Does that make her scheming and unprincipled? Perhaps, but synonyms might be ‘pragmatic’ and ‘electable.’ That’s what presidential candidates do.”
Kristof is basically Xeroxing a recent column by his former Times colleague, Jill Abramson, whose recent Guardian column claimed “Hillary Clinton Is Fundamentally Honest.” He joins her in dragging out PolitiFact as a defense of her honesty…
…Kristof needed a fact-check on the fact-checking citation. This correction was appended: “An earlier version of this column misstated some of the percentages of true statements as judged by PolitiFact.”
Wait: make sure you’re sitting down!
What Kristof doesn’t do is disclose he’s spoken at many gatherings of the Clinton Global Initiative.
Sorry, Nicky. Hillary’s “trustworthiness” poll numbers demonstrate that roughly 99.7 percent of the public believe that she is a malevolent, disgusting, cold-blooded, and entirely crooked liar.
Furthermore, each and every email that is recovered from her illegal bathroom server paints in more of the picture, most recently this revelation:
…[A newly discovered] record of a phone call by Clinton the day after the attack. “S” is Secretary Clinton. In a call to then-Egyptian Prime Minister Hisham Kandil she said that the deadly terrorist attack on the US compound the day before “had nothing to do with the film.”
On the prior evening (September 11) Mrs. Clinton issued an official State Department press statement, approved by the White House, placing the blame for the attack on an Internet video:
Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet. The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. Our commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation. But let me be clear: There is never any justification for violent acts of this kind.
As New York’s sole honest newspaper observed last December, the video fable was Hillary’s most repugnant lie, as she told the family members of heroes Glen Doherty, Sean Smith, and Tyrone Woods after the Benghazi attack that she was going to “have the filmmaker arrested who was responsible” for the attacks.
Kristof is a disgusting hack, but the device has yet to be invented that can measure how utterly abhorrent Hillary Clinton is. (For more from the author of “LITTLE NICKY KRISTOF HARDEST HIT: Hillary’s Latest Email Disclosures Prove She’s a Malevolent, Repulsive Liar” please click HERE)
A prominent Ku Klux Klan leader says that the group has raised thousands of dollars for Hillary Clinton’s campaign and that the Klan is officially endorsing the Democratic frontrunner for president—a claim the Clinton campaign vigorously denies.
Shortly after setting a giant cross on fire with dozens of other members of various white nationalist groups in Georgia on Saturday, Will Quigg, a Grand Dragon in a California branch of the KKK, sat down with Vocativ—which was there for a larger reporting trip about the modern state of the hate group—to talk about the 2016 election. According to Quigg, “For the KKK, Clinton is our choice.”
“She is friends with the Klan,” Quigg said. “A lot of people don’t realize that. She’s friends with Senator [Robert] Byrd. He’s been an Exulted Cyclops in the Klan. He’s been King Kleagle.” (King Kleagle is another KKK title for the leader of an entire “realm,” or state. Quigg is the King Kleagle for California.) Robert Byrd is a former U.S. senator from West Virginia. In the 1940s, Byrd organized and served as the leader of a Klan chapter in West Virginia. Byrd has long since disavowed the Klan and called his involvement “wrong.” In 2010, Hillary Clinton called Senator Byrd a “friend and mentor.”
Quigg said that he and other Klan members have raised more than $20,000 for the Clinton campaign and donated it anonymously . . .
The Clinton campaign strongly denies receiving any donations from the Ku Klux Klan and rejects the organization’s endorsement. “This is completely false,” Clinton campaign spokesman Josh Schwerin told Vocativ. “We want no part of them or their money and vehemently reject their hateful agenda.” (Read more from “KKK Endorses Hillary Clinton, Claims 20k in Clinton Donations” HERE)
By Mark Hensch. Republican presidential candidate John Kasich on Monday said that Indiana’s voters should still back him, despite an alliance with Ted Cruz to clear the way for his presidential rival in the state’s Republican primary.
“I’ve never told them not to vote for me,” he said at a diner in Philadelphia. “They ought to vote for me.
“I’m not out there campaigning and spending resources,” Kasich added. “I’m not going to spend resources in Indiana. [Cruz is] not going to spend resources in other places.
“So what? What’s the big deal? What’s wrong with that? I’m not campaigning in Indiana, and he’s not campaigning in those other states. That’s all.”
Cruz and Kasich on late Sunday announced a joint effort aimed at keeping Donald Trump from the GOP presidential nomination (Read more from “Kasich Wants Ind. Votes Despite Cruz Pact” HERE)

Ted Cruz-John Kasich Alliance Against Donald Trump Quickly Weakens
By Alexander Burns, Matt Flegenheimer and Jonathan Martin. The temporary alliance between Senator Ted Cruz and Gov. John Kasich of Ohio, formed to deny Donald J. Trump the Republican presidential nomination, was already fraying almost to the point of irrelevance on Monday, only hours after it was announced to great fanfare.
With the pact, the two candidates agreed to cede forthcoming primary contests to each other. Mr. Kasich would, most crucially, stand down in Indiana’s primary on May 3 to give Mr. Cruz a better chance to defeat Mr. Trump there, while Mr. Cruz would leave Oregon and New Mexico to Mr. Kasich. It appeared to be a measure of last resort, but initially it seemed like a breakthrough.
Mr. Cruz trumpeted what he called the “big news” in Indiana, a state that appears pivotal to stopping Mr. Trump from winning a majority of delegates. “John Kasich has decided to pull out of Indiana to give us a head-to-head contest with Donald Trump,” he said. Billionaire and Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump just gave America another reason to vote for him if he wins the GOP nomination. He promised to stop tweeting, calling it “not presidential,” according to a video released by The Hill.
Supporters instantly cried, “No!” at the thought that their beloved candidate would stop tweeting . . .
Trump tells RU crowd he'll stop tweeting when he's president. "Not presidential"
The Hill ran the story of Trump’s promise to stop tweeting, and many Facebook users who read the story there had a lot to say about Trump’s tweets and his promise to stop tweeting.
Mordechai Hunter Rees wrote, “It’s not tweeting that is ‘not presidential.’ It’s the things Trump tweets that are not presidential. (Forget about the things he retweets…)” (Read more from “Trump Promises to Make One Change If Elected President” HERE)

Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign is vetting Carly Fiorina as a potential running mate, THE WEEKLY STANDARD has learned.
According to a spokeswoman for Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO and one-time presidential candidate is being vetted by Cruz’s campaign.
“Normal stuff,” said Sarah Isgur Flores, who served as deputy campaign manager during Fiorina’s bid, when asked about the process. She added that Fiorina has met with members of the Cruz campaign and has given them financial disclosures and other documentation. Flores added that “no offers” have been made.
On ABC’s This Week Sunday, reporter Jon Karl floated the idea that Cruz could announce a running mate before next week’s critical Indiana primary and suggested Fiorina would be the “one person” to fill that role. (Read more from “You’ll Never Guess Who Cruz Is Trying to Get for VP” HERE)

A conservative Christian activist group has gained more than half a million signatures and counting from people pledging to boycott Target over its transgender bathroom policy.
The petition started by the American Family Association on Wednesday raises concerns that Target’s inclusive stance on transgender rights encourages sexual predators and puts women and young girls in danger, because “a man can simply say he ‘feels like a woman today’ and enter the women’s restroom.”
The boycott has more than 517,000 signatures as of Monday afternoon, marking it as one of AFA’s most popular campaigns.
“This is the best response we’ve ever had this quick,” says AFA President Tim Wildmon, attributing the protest’s viral nature to the fact that “everybody knows who Target is, and it’s an easy-to-understand issue” . . .
Target made its position public in a blog post last week, stating that the company welcomes “transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity.” The announcement comes as legislation on transgender issues in multiple states has spurred several major corporations and businesses to take a stance on LGBT rights. Yet another example of astonishing liberal/socialist/progressive hypocrisy.
Bernie Sanders, outspoken class warrior who once stated that tax rates as high as 90% weren’t too high, only pays a 13.5% tax rate on over $200,000 in household income. This guy is a total fraud and so are his socialist acolytes. Let me ask Bernie’s supporters the following questions, the answers to which will provide all the evidence you need to conclusively prove liberal hypocrisy.
Does Bernie Sanders believe that higher tax rates and revenues are a force for good?
Yes.
Does Bernie Sanders believe that successful Americans should both pay a higher tax rate and pay more of their revenue?
Yes.
Is Bernie Sanders wealthy relative to the average American?
Yes.
Does Bernie Sanders practice this in his own life?
No, he doesn’t.
I am sincerely perplexed that reasonable people, aligning themselves with liberal values, have a difficult time processing why this is hypocritical. If, as Bernie Sanders is suggesting, taxes are a force for public good then why use the tax code to take over $60,000 in tax deductions to avoid a higher tax bill? Aren’t you avoiding doing “a good thing” if you believe that the taxes you pay will result in “good things” and you then avoid paying them by taking advantage of deductions? (Note: I’m am not suggesting that Bernie Sanders has done anything illegal, or even unethical, by not paying a higher tax rate voluntarily. To the contrary, I applaud him for understanding that his money will be put to its best use by staying in his family’s budget and not the government’s).
For example, many people voluntarily donate significant portions of their hard-earned income to charity not because the government ordered them to, but because they believe they are doing a “good thing” by helping someone, or some organization, out. To be clear, this isn’t an issue for conservatives, so if you’re a liberal and thinking to yourself, “Well, conservatives don’t pay more taxes voluntarily either,” then you would be correct. We don’t pay more because the money is going down a red-ink rat-hole of broken government programs and endless spending and we refuse to waste any more of our money. So, liberals, stop thinking that to avoid further embarrassment. But, if you’re a liberal or socialist, start thinking about why YOU aren’t paying the maximum rate at all times. Don’t you think that you should show us all how sincerely you believe in the power of higher taxes by paying the maximum rate? If not, then why not? Do you feel that your money will be wasted if you pay more? If so, then welcome to the conservative movement.
You may be asking yourself, “Why concern yourself with a presidential candidate who is on the verge of being eliminated from contention?” This is a fair question, and I’ve argued repeatedly in my podcast that this has little to do with Bernie Sanders and a lot to do with the dangerous, deadly ideology he is selling. We CANNOT afford to lose another generation of our kids to the false promises of socialism. We lost a large swath of the last generation to these fraudulent ideas and now we are paying the price through the elections and campaigns of Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, and Bernie Sanders.
