Hey Barbara,
I’ve seen you post comments on here before and I appreciate what you have had to say. I know you are a big Ron Paul supporter and so too am I to a degree. If Ron Paul had not made the comments on Jay Leno’s show about Michele Bachmann “hating muslims” I’d be more inclined to support him as my first choice. Those comments notwithstanding are not enough for me not to vote for him if he was the nominee. Also, I don’t think he has a realistic view of the MidEast and the threat Iran poses to Israel. The fact that he believes if we just leave these countries alone then maybe more harm won’t come to the U.S. is a bit naive. However, I think he is spot on when it comes to the unconstitutionality of the Fed, Government being too involved in every aspect of people’s lives, and our military being spread so thin that we can’t even secure our own borders effectively. I do believe also Ron Paul is the most fiscally conservative candidate as evidenced by the fact he wants to cut $1 trillion from the budget. I wish the other three candidates took such an approach. What I think is most important however is that whoever the nominee ends up being is that the true conservative members of the Republican party hold that candidate’s feet to the fire and make sure when in office (along with other true conservative members of the House and Senate) he support those conservative constitutional principals of limited government and indivual liberty. It would be nice if the constitutional conservative planks in the platform dictated the actions of the nominee instead of the constitutional conservative planks having to adjust to the ideas of the nominee especially if the nominee was more “moderate.” I think most of us here would agree on the issues of repealing ObamaCare and creating free market solutions to health care; drastically reduing federal spending and eliminating certain agencies that don’t have constitutional authority like the Department of Education; simplifying the tax code with a flat tax that has no or very few deductions where everybody pays something regardless of how much they make; no corporate bailouts regardless of how big the company is or how “important” it is to the economy; developing a domestic energy policy that frees us from the dependency of foreign oil; easing government regulations where capitalism can truly flourish; restricting the actions of government agencies/departments so peoples’ individual civil rights don’t get infringed; and lastly legitimate border security where illegals and people who want to do us harm are prevented from entering this country. I could mention other things as well but I believe these are the most pressing issues facing our country today. In all, we as consevatives, libertarians, and even some independents have more in common with those ideals I espoused above then the current administration that is leading this country now. I suggest we unite behind the eventual nominee and make our voices loud and strong that we expect the nominee to advance those ideals mentioned above.

Hello: I’ve read your comments, and I’m afraid you’ve bitten into the Media Bias against Ron Paul and his stand on removing the troops from the Middle East. Let me tell you this much….if you think Iran is a big problem, how is it that Iran is a bigger problem than say China or Russia or North Korea? Do you think our presence in the Middle East, and our lack of negotiating with the Iranian leaders by cutting off their banks from the Powers that Be, and imposing an embargo upon them, isn’t adding fuel to the fire? If I were you, I’d research this a little more carefully. Colonel Douglas MacGregor is a decorated Veteran and knows Middle East Policy, and he said Iran is 6 inches tall, and we are 6 feet tall. There is no contest between Iran and the USA, as we’d beat them in 2 days in any war. You’ll have the same endless wars you’ve been getting in Afghanistan, and Iraq, which are killing our men and with no end in sight. Is this a plan? Media hype is behind much of this. Sure..we don’t want Shariah law imposed on us anywhere, but is Iran about Shariah Law? No…it’s about Oil and Oil Reserves. This Middle East hotbed situation keeps getting worse and worse, and we’ve put our noses into far too long. Russia and China have an interest in Iran, and if you think they’re going to let us invade Iran without a fight, you don’t know what’s going on in the Middle East. Iran is dropping the dollar for trade…that’s the big deal in Iran…not nuclear weapons.

I agree with you Joy, and I also would like to add, our Government is an Oligarchy and not a Federalist Republic any longer. We’re controlled by the Federal Reserve Bankrupters, whether we want to believe it or not, it’s a fact. The same people who control the CFR and the Tri-Lateralist Commission, and who make and shape our foreign policy, as well as distribute paper money, are the same people who are killing America from within. “I care not what puppet is placed on the throne of England to rule the Empire. The man who controls Britain’s Money Supply controls the British Empire, and I control the British Money Supply.” – Nathan Rothschild (one of the Federal Reserve Bankrupters). See this link and then lament we are at the mercy of these devils – http://www.rense.com/general79/tril.htm

Agree totally with Sarah Palin.
The people in Washingont are trying to swallow our freedoms, and this is what is being created? More impersonations of Sarah Palin, the woman who SHOULD be President??
Would be these same money seeking movie makers support blindly the socialist agenda of the people currentlly in Washington and think themselves as being kind and coooool instead of blind and cold/destroying dreams built on freedoms and self initiatives.
