Palin Fires a Shot Over the GOP Establishment’s Bow at CPAC and Throws in Some Dr. Seuss Just for Fun

CPAC 2014Once again former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin wowed the crowd at CPAC and, in the process, put the establishment on notice if they do not stand for conservative principles, they will lose her support and that of many other Americans too.

In the closing address at the nation’s largest conservative conference, Palin sounded a similar theme to several of the firebrands–including Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Rand Paul–who addressed the DC gathering of thousands from around the country. The spirit of their remarks can be summarized using the old Tom Petty lyrics, “I won’t back down, you can stand me up at the gates of hell, but I won’t back down.”

To the Republican Party leadership, Palin let them know that it’s time to have a “come to Jesus moment. America is counting on the GOP to get it right.” Why should any Republican get elected or re-elected who is for higher taxes, more government and more regulations? Why should they be rewarded with your vote, Palin queried. Borrowing a turn of phrase from Barack Obama, she reminded the GOP, “You know that 2010 election victory that swept you into power, you didn’t build that, the tea party did.”

Palin pointed to the examples of Senator Ted Cruz and House members like Louie Gomert and Trey Gowdy as the type of leadership that the times require. She fully supported Cruz’s ObamaCare filibuster believing it a great service to the country, and also approved of his reading of Dr. Seuss’ “Green Eggs and Ham” while he held the Senate floor last fall.

Sarah Palin debuted her own version of the classic tale for today’s CPAC audience: “I do not like this Uncle Sam. I do not like his health care scam. I do not like these dirty crooks, or how they lie and cook the books. I do not like when Congress steals, I do not like their crony deals. I do not like this spying, man, I do not like, ‘Oh, Yes we can,'” which drew laughter and cheers from the CPAC crowd.

She continued, “I do not like this spending spree, we’re smart, we know there’s nothing free. I do not like reporters’ smug replies when I complain about their lies. I do not like this kind of hope, and we won’t take it, nope, nope, nope.”

The former Alaska Governor went on to bring up the crisis in the Ukraine and wondered why in the world the United States was reducing its conventional forces to pre-World War II levels and drastically cutting its nuclear arsenal in light of it. Palin advised, “Mr. President the only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke,” prompting the crowd to rise to its feet with approval. She then added with a slight smirk, “I’m probably being too hard on the President, afterall who could have seen this coming.” Catching the reference, the crowd rose back to its feet cheering.

Palin ended on an upbeat note saying there is a “great awakening” happening in America.”The Age of Obama is almost over, marking the end of an error.” The message of liberty has resonated “since a band a brothers dumped tea in the Boston Harbor,” she exhorted. Because of that, she has hope. “The best is yet to come.”

I certainly admire this lady! I admire her as much as the Dems fear her! They assassinated her character when she was McCain’s running mate and she still scares them Think of how much better off this country would be if she were in the White House instead of what we have now!

    • Danny F. Quest

Congratulations you are whats wrong with America

      • Fallon

Oh, Danny boy…why don’t you elaborate on your snide remark? Sarah Palin is day and Little ‘O’ is night. Polar opposites. Little ‘O’ is deliberately ruining this beautiful country and Sarah Palin would save it. We would see prosperity unlike any other time on this planet. Yes, please do elaborate.

        • Daninfla

He cannot elaborate on anything. Too full of …. hate!

          • Col.Ripper

I would have better-described him with a different 4-letter word.

          • johnwlooper

Well, certainly full of something, maybe not hate though . . .

The only thing wrong with this country is that we won’t treat the Marxists as they would us:

“We have no compassion and we ask no compassion from you. When our turn comes, we shall not make
        excuses for the terror.”

        Karl Marx

Of course you know Hitler was a Socialist too. National Socialist Workers Party, now ain’ t htat a hoot. Yes the racists and the bigots come from the Marxists Socialists. They use those they disdain the most and when they are through with them they turn on them.

But for me and mine we serve God. I believe as it is said in Matthew 5:18 not one jot nor tittle of the law will be done away with until there is a new heaven and new earth. Don’t remember the earth and the heavens being destroyed and reformed in the history books so I guess it’s God for me. So since God’s Law states that foreigners my abide in the land as long as they obey the law and conform to our customs they are welcome, otherwise…. Well you know, He said don’t even let the animals live.

Article IV Section 4 the United States shall guarantee to the several states a Republican Form of government. That is not Democracy, Marxist or Socialist and not as in the freaks in the Retard party either.

        As Marx put it:

“Democracy is the road to socialism”.

So they thought us overwhelmed and decided to make their moves. We see how thay have abided their time until they thought to strike with impunity. They did not calculate the strength of our conviction nor the indwelling of the Spirit within God’s children.

Even though we could not articulate the depths of their

subversion, the flatterings and the twisting of the truth. They are cowards and they as all the creatures of their Father Satan, the adversary. Not the mythical Boogeyman but the haters of truth and the liers and deceivers, those who would destroy the entire world before they would allow others to abide in peace. Of course their peace is that of Marx:

“The meaning of peace is the absence of opposition to socialism.”
        Karl Marx
Make no mistake they mean to kill us all if they gain the upper hand. you are all fools if you believe otherwise. they are revealed by Marx’s own words.
“Crused be he who doeth the Lord’s work deceitfully. cursed be he that keepth back his sword from blood”.
        Jeremiah 48:10

    • BetterDeadThanRed

It baffles me why all of the Left-Lib-Lemmings are Soooo afraid of this woman. Do they really hate Freedom, Independence, and our Constitution THAT much? (it would seem so)

      • johnwlooper

        Well said Better!

    • Mr Nobody

AMEN TO THAT “BUT” WITH OUT McCain.

  • Lynn McCrann

I look back at the time when she was running on the ticket with that progressive dope from Arizona. If not for her the election would have been a slaughter.

  • jrm55

I would love to see her run as VP…. but with Cruz, not Rand Paul.

    • johnwlooper

      That’s two of us!

  • Bob

Sarah Palin has more common sense in her right “pinky” current occupant of the Oval Office does in his whole body, & that of the rest of the Libs in government!

  • SmithWinston6478

If it wasn’t for Governor Sarah Palin, John McCain would have taken a much worse beating than he did.

“There can be no compromise on basic principles, moral issues, matters of knowledge, truth, and rational conviction.” ~ Ayn Rand
“An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.” – Winston Churchill

  • Herman L. McCloud

After viewing this presentation at the CPAC party by Sarah Palin only
proves what I have continuously stated that Sarah Palin is a primary
candidate for presidency but has instead given her full support to the
“Romney/Ryan” candidates and therefore there shall my vote be as
well, “obama” has only proven that he is out to destroy our government at any costs, and will continue unless We the people put a stop to his
political rape, lies treachery and conspiracies to destroy our government
and the people thereof, which exposes him for what he is a dictator and
    not a leader.

  • akprayingmom

Words of wisdom spoken. I hope they are heeded. #Cruzin for Ted Cruz in 2016!

  • ONTIME

The left’s concerted effort to diminish the spirit and the words of Sarah Palin have blown up in their face, all those denials and lies used to ruin this woman’s reputation and the voicing of her take on the truth have now come down on their heads and they are reeling….Good show Sarah for standing up for America….

  • gracentruth

I wrote Sarah Palin’s name in on the online ballot I received from CPAC. She should not be a senator, but president. To accomplish this, the GOP/RNC need to be brought to their knees. Remember Maine 2012. They defrauded all of us Republicans and indeed all Americans with their fraud to try and shove Romney down our throats. It did not work. Demo-marxists cheated and the white kenyan is still in our white house. Now, I understand the GOP/RNC marxists want Jeb Bush. Is this true? Peace,

  • Leland Stanford

This was her best speech since she accepted the VP slot at the convention in ’08. She said “The Age of Obama is almost over, the end of an error.

  • Matt VanCamp

I’ve not listened to her before, but I’m glad I did ! I like her thinkng.

  • Janice Dyer White

I just watched her on TV, and I think she was great! She looks fantastic, and she makes us laugh, smile and gives us the feeling that we are not alone! We all need to speak up. We don’t need a large audience.
