Paris Issues Denial of Macron Cocaine Bag on Ukraine Train

President Emmanuel Macron’s office decried “disinformation” after footage showed him self-consciously snatching a small white object from a conference table while sitting with Britain’s Sir Keir Starmer and Germany’s Friedrich Merz.

The leaders of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany made a then-secret trip to Ukraine on Friday evening for joint events on Saturday, travelling from Poland to Kyiv by overnight train provided by the Ukrainian government. In the now-familiar travelling conference room used by dozens of world leaders on their trips to Ukraine during wartime while air warfare makes executive jet travel impossible, the three men met for a brief photo-call with their attendant journalists.

After these images and the trip were made public, footage of President Macron himself sitting at the head of the conference table before noticing a small white object on the table and snatching it to his pocket spread on social media along with claims that it had, in fact, been a bag of cocaine.

The assertion gained sufficient traction that the Élysée palace itself, the private office and residence of the French President, felt forced to deny the claims. Sharing high-resolution images of the interior of the railway carriage, the palace said, with apparent contempt: “this is a tissue. For blowing your nose”. Report: Police Arrest 6 People and Seize a Bus With the Inscription: ‘Stop Attacks on Christians’

A controversial episode shook Paris, where police seized a bus displaying a message against the persecution of Christians. The bus, which circulated through the streets of the French capital, was intended to draw attention to the persecution of Christians and criticise the opening of this year’s Olympic Games .

The advertising vehicle, sponsored by CitizenGO, showed images and messages aimed at raising awareness of crimes against Christians in various parts of the world. CitizenGo let it be known from its X profile that six members of its team were forced to spend the night in jail for no reason. This was not a demonstration,’ they say, ‘but a simple bus with a sign on it, namely Stop Attacks on Christians. This is not illegal,’ they conclude, ‘and the police abused it.

Lin Yu-Ting Advances to Gold Medal Fight as Another Opponent Makes ‘X’ Gesture in Olympics Gender Controversy

Lin Yu-ting could be taking gold home from Paris after a gender controversy has consumed most of her Olympic experience.

The boxer from Taiwan will win at least a silver medal after defeating Esra Yildiz Kahraman of Turkey in one of the women’s 57-kilogram semifinal matches.

Despite an aggressive strategy from Yildiz Kahraman with several combinations to hopefully gain some advantage over the 5-foot-9 Yu-ting, it wasn’t enough.

Yu-ting went on to cruise to another dominant 5-0 victory for a shot at a gold medal against Poland’s Julia Szeremeta.

Yildiz Kahraman, who will receive a bronze medal, repeated a previously used gesture to spoil the moment for the two-time Olympian. (Read more from “Lin Yu-Ting Advances to Gold Medal Fight as Another Opponent Makes ‘X’ Gesture in Olympics Gender Controversy” HERE)

French President Macron’s Steamy Embrace — and Kiss — With Sports Minister at Olympics Raises Eyebrows: ‘Indecent’

The internet is buzzing about awkward photos showing French President Emmanuel Macron sharing a touchy-feely moment with his sports minister during the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony — with some comparing the affectionate display to a lover’s embrace.

The photo shows Macron, 46, tightly gripping the arm of Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, 46, a former professional tennis player who is the country’s minister of sports and, as one X user pointed out, his subordinate.

Oudéa-Castéra in turn clutches Macron’s bicep with one hand, the other wrapped affectionately around his neck while planting a kiss on the French leader’s neck.

Exacerbating the photo’s cringe factor is the positioning of Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, who appears to be conspicuously averting his gaze from the display.

“Gabriel Attal, he pretends to look elsewhere! He doesn’t know where to stand!” one user wrote. (Read more from “French President Macron’s Steamy Embrace — and Kiss — With Sports Minister at Olympics Raises Eyebrows: ‘Indecent’” HERE)

Child Rapist Competing in Olympics, IOC Defends his Participation

Steven van de Velde, a Dutch beach volleyball player who served time in prison for raping a child 10 years ago, was roundly booed by the crowd during the Netherlands’ first match at the Paris Olympics.

Footage posted on social media showed jeers and boos ringing out, as van de Velde and his partner Matthew Immers walked out into the arena at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. Eventually, they were defeated by the Italian duo of Alex Ranghieri and Adrian Carambula.

Van de Velde’s presence at these Olympic Games has caused much controversy given that he was sentenced to four years in prison for raping a 12-year-old girl in 2014, according to British media. He was released in 2017 and is now 29 years old.

Despite the torrent of criticism directed towards the Dutch National Olympic Committee for selecting him, the IOC defended that decision as “correct,” saying that van de Velde has undergone “a great deal of rehabilitation.” (Read more from “Child Rapist Competing in Olympics, IOC Defends his Participation” HERE)

Demonic Wokeness: Olympics Opening Ceremony Recreates ‘Last Supper’ With Drag Queens & Trans Performers

By Breitbart. Further making the Olympics opening ceremonies the “gayest ever,” Parisian Olympics officials also featured an LGBTQ parody of the “Last Supper” along with a woke fashion show featuring gender-bending fashions and transgender models.

Many jumped to X to wonder just what the Olympics was trying to tell viewers about Paris.

‘Degeneracy’: Barely Clothed, Bearded Drag Queen Dances Seductively at Paris’ Olympic Opening Ceremony

By Breitbart. The Tour de Farce that was the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics included a drag queen version of the Last Supper, a strongly suggested bisexual threesome, and a scantily-clad, bearded drag queen doing a provocative dance.

The not-family-friendly ceremony seemed to be nearing an end. Still, organizers apparently couldn’t resist taking at least one more stab at decency by letting a leather-clad man with a beard do his thing on the runway.

The responses to the “performance” ranged from disbelief to outright rage.

ISIS Claims Responsibility for Deadly Attack Near Paris

A man with severe psychiatric problems killed his mother and sister and seriously injured another woman in a knife attack Thursday in a Paris-region town, officials said.

Police shot and killed the man soon afterward.

The Islamic State group, which has a history of opportunistic claims, swiftly claimed responsibility.

French prosecutors weren’t treating the attack in Trappes, west of Paris, as a terrorism case, Interior Minister Gerard Collomb said. He noted the attacker suffered from serious mental health issues although he had also been flagged for glorifying terrorism.

Collomb said that the man killed his mother at her home and stabbed the other women outside.

Still wielding the knife, he then ignored police warnings and was shot and killed, the minister said after meeting officers and prosecutors in Trappes.

He described the man as “unstable, rather than someone who was engaged, someone who could respond, for example, to orders and instructions from a terrorist organization, in particular from Daesh.” Daesh is another name for IS.

A long-time friend of the attacker identified him as Kamel Salhi, 36.

The friend, Said Segreg, said Salhi had no obvious problems, didn’t abuse drugs or alcohol and wasn’t fervently religious.

A government official confirmed Salhi’s name and age. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to discuss such details publicly.

Salhi was divorced and living with his mother, said Adama Traore, another of his acquaintances in Trappes.

The Islamic State group, via its Aamaq news agency, claimed responsibility.

The agency said the attack was motivated by calls from the IS leadership to attack civilians in countries at war with the extremist group.

Hours earlier, IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi urged followers to attack enemies everywhere.

The Islamic State group, which has lost most of the territories it once controlled in Iraq and Syria, has been known to make opportunistic claims in the past, even when there was no established link between an attacker and the extremist group. Hero Climbs Side of Building to Save Child Dangling From 4th Story Balcony

A Malian man is being hailed as a hero for saving a child in Paris from the balcony of a fourth story apartment.

The four-year-old had been left home alone, when he climbed or fell over the apartment balcony and ended up hanging from the outside of it. Neighbors in the apartment next to him could not reach over far enough to pull the child to safety.

22-year-old Mamoudou Gassama, who was granted French citizenship due to his heroics but who at the time was in the country illegally, saw a crowd gathering in the street below, and realized the danger that the child was in. With speed and agility that has earned him the name “spiderman” on social media, Gassama climbed from one balcony to the next before pulling the child to safety with one arm. . .

Macron personally met with Gassama at Elysee Palace, and awarded him a medal for his courage. Macron also told Gassama that he would be made a naturalized citizen for what he did. Gassama reportedly arrived in France last year, after crossing the Mediterranean and arriving in Italy.

Gassama told Macron that when he saw the child, “I just didn’t have time to think, I ran across the road to go and save him.” He continued, “I just climbed up and thank God, God helped me. The more I climbed the more I had the courage to climb up higher, that’s it.” (Read more from “Hero Climbs Side of Building to Save Child Dangling From 4th Story Balcony” HERE)

Beef in the Buff? Country Opens First Nudist Restaurant

Leave your coats, your pants and your inhibitions at the door: a Paris restaurant has begun serving up classic French fare to diners in the nude.

Located down a quiet side street in southwest Paris, O’naturel, billed as the French capital’s first nudist restaurant, is the brainchild of 42-year-old twins Mike and Stephane Saada.

Former insurance salesmen, they aren’t nudists themselves — but they spotted a money-making opportunity in a country that enjoys a reputation as a top naturist holiday destination.

“People only get to be nudists in the summer,” explained Stephane.

O’naturel is considerably warmer in November than the roughly 460 designated outdoor nudist spots around France, most of them beaches and campsites. (Read more from “Beef in the Buff? Country Opens First Nudist Restaurant” HERE)

Paris to Build a ‘Wall’ Around Eiffel Tower as Terrorism Becomes Mundane in Europe

Americans are still waiting for a border wall, but France is set to get a wall of their own by the end of the year.

Unlike the American iteration, this barrier won’t be erected on the French border. It’s set to surround the Eiffel Tower to shield it from terrorist attacks.

Last month, the Paris city council approved a $20 million bulletproof glass wall, just over 8 feet high, that will surround the iconic tower.

In a country proudly obsessed with art and beauty, this will be an obnoxious eyesore and a reminder that war and violence is just a breath away in the seemingly pacific city of romance.

Paris, like so many other European cities, has become ground zero for relentless terrorist attacks by Islamists.

I recently had the opportunity to visit France as a tourist, and enjoyed it immensely. The food was amazing (of course), and the service surprisingly friendly.

Perhaps this is because the country has been inundated by terrorist attacks and the people are just happy that tourists still decide to show up. A recent report showed that the tourism industry in Paris suffered a stunning $750 million drop and a decline of about a million visitors from 2015 to 2016.

The heightened level of security struck me as I traveled through the northern part of the country, especially when I was in Paris. The City of Lights is now constantly patrolled by men in military uniforms with rifles at the ready.

When I visited the Hôtel National des Invalides, a national military history museum, a soldier with rifle drawn sifted through my belongings at the gate to make sure I didn’t have anything suspicious.

These are scenes that, fortunately, are still quite uncommon in the United States.

While Americans have become exasperatingly used to heightened security at airports and public events—where the Transportation Security Administration obnoxiously shakes down grandmas looking for bombs—we still haven’t been subjected to a constant military presence on this level.

But who is to say it isn’t necessary at this point? The soldiers in France, while unnerving, at least demonstrate that force will be met with force.

Since the massive 2015 terrorist attack in Paris that took the lives of over 200 people and injured countless more, there have been numerous other incidents and arrests.

In the past few months alone, there have been attacks at the Louvre, Notre-Dame, and Champs-Élysées. The most recent attempted attack took place at Champs-Élysées, in which a van loaded with an AK-47 rifle, handguns, and a glass bottle rammed a police van.

Fortunately, that attack was stopped before any innocent people could be killed. The attacker, who was killed by police, had been on a terrorist watch list.

This occurred just days after I strolled down the famous avenue. It was strange to think that as I walked the path of Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower, Charles de Gaulle, and the liberating armies of World War II, Islamists were targeting it for a bloodbath.

As France grapples with this constant, exhausting, and unnerving menace, it may serve as a warning to Americans, who fear that these same problems will reach our country.

It’s why President Donald Trump’s message of “extreme vetting” of immigrants and travelers to the U.S. has resonated with voters.

At a congressional hearing on Tuesday, Robin Simcox, a Heritage Foundation expert who specializes in terrorism and national security, broke down the numbers of the rising wave of terrorist plots not only in France, but throughout Europe.

They numbers have risen with the creation of the Islamic State in the Middle East.

“At least 5,000 to 6,000 Europeans who have fought alongside ISIS and other Islamist groups in Syria and Iraq are now returning to their home countries,” Simcox said.

Outsiders and homegrown radicals have stepped up their attacks in the last few years, a trend unlikely to abate. Many countries, such as Germany, have experienced an explosion of incidents.

“There was an eightfold increase in [terrorist] plots [in Germany] between 2015 and 2016, largely due to a surge in plots involving refugees,” Simcox said. “In fact, Germany faced more plots last year than it did in the entire 2000-2015 period.”

So, what can be done to ensure this menace doesn’t continue to grow and destroy our way of life?

Simcox offered a variety of strategies to combat it, which he highlighted in his paper, “The Threat of Islamist Terrorism in Europe and How the U.S. Should Respond.”

Some of the most important takeaways center on intelligence sharing between countries, breaking the military power of the Islamic State, and importantly, being mindful of the fact that we are at war with the Islamist ideology and are not just fighting military battles.

This is a war of hearts and minds, not just tanks and bombs. As Trump’s adviser on national security, Sebastian Gorka, said:

We will have won when the black flag of jihad, when the black flag of ISIS, is as repugnant across the world as the white peaked hood of the Ku Klux Klan and the black, white, and red swastika of Hitler’s Third Reich.

It is also important to look at examples of success in countries where counterterrorism methods seem to be effective.

For instance, The Guardian recently reported how Italy has managed to avoid major terrorist attacks despite threats to obliterate Rome.

While simple good fortune can’t entirely be ruled out, Italy has used methods—developed in the 1970s to counter the mafia—to monitor suspicious activity and foil plots before they happen.

These methods, too, raise questions regarding how far the West is willing to go to curtail civil liberties to counter the scourge. It is a good reminder that it is often best to solve these issues before they reach our shores.

This struck me as I toured the D-Day landing grounds in northern France. The beaches are hallowed ground, and serve as monuments to the bravery of the Allied forces who liberated a continent.

Yet they demonstrate how a festering, uncontrolled evil left unchecked often leaves a burden of sacrifice far greater in its wake. Tens of thousands, indeed hundreds of thousands of young Americans were killed to free a world of Nazi tyranny.

Our own generation is faced with a new evil that threatens our way of life. In Europe, that peril is fast becoming a mundane reality. We have a duty to ourselves and future generations to reverse that trend.
