Forbes Editor’s Deranged Terror Tweet Shows Depravity of the Left

How sick do you have to be to downplay a terror attack in the name of climate science?

Eight people are dead after a terrorist plowed a truck into pedestrians on a lower Manhattan bike path. The suspect, identified by law enforcement officials as 29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov, reportedly screamed “Allahu akbar” as he exited the vehicle waving guns after crashing into a school bus. He was shot by a uniformed police officer and is now in custody. New York Police Commissioner James O’Neill said a paintball gun and pellet gun were recovered at the scene.

Saipov is reportedly an Uzbek national who came to the U.S. in 2010. A Muslim immigrant committing an act of terror on U.S. soil creates a narrative the Left absolutely does not want to talk about, and so already many in the media are twisting the facts. Whether it’s CNN reporting that Saipov “was yelling ‘God is great’ in Arabic” or Gov. Andrew Cuomo, D-N.Y., urging New Yorkers to carry on as if there is no radical Islamic terrorism problem, too many are obscuring the reality.

Some are more hamfisted than others, like Forbes deputy editor Halah Touryalai who thinks EPA administrator Scott Pruitt is scarier than radical Islamic terrorism.

The tweet links to an article from Mother Jones that attacks Pruitt for quoting the Bible as he explained his decision to bar scientists who receive federal grants from serving on independent science advisory committees.

“In the book of Joshua there is a story about Joshua leading the people of Israel into the promised land after Moses passed away,” Pruitt said Tuesday. “And Joshua says to the people of Israel choose this day whom you’re going to serve. And I would say to you this is sort of like the ‘Joshua Principle’ that as it relates to grants to this agency, you are going to have to choose either service on the committee to provide counsel to us in an independent fashion or you can choose grants, but you cannot do both.”

So, according to this Forbes’ deputy editor, Scott Pruitt’s decision is scarier than a murderous jihad attack, which today, claimed the lives of eight people in New York.

That is deranged. (For more from the author of “Forbes Editor’s Deranged Terror Tweet Shows Depravity of the Left” please click HERE)

Top NPR, New York Times Executive Accused of Lewd Sexual Harassment Is Placed on Leave

By Samuel Chamberlain. The head of National Public Radio’s news department was placed on leave Tuesday after he was accused of sexual harassment by two women who claimed he made unwanted advances toward them while he worked at the New York Times nearly 20 years ago.

Both women claimed Michael Oreskes kissed them and stuck his tongue in their mouths after they had approached him about working at the Times in the late 1990s, when Oreskes was the paper’s Washington bureau chief . . .

NPR reported Tuesday that Oreskes was formally rebuked following a separate incident two years ago where a female producer complained she was made to feel uncomfortable after a dinner in which Oreskes talked about sex and inquired about her personal life. The woman, Rebecca Hersher, said on the NPR report that “it undercut my confidence.”

NPR said in a statement on Tuesday: “We take these kinds of allegations very seriously. If a concern is raised, we review the matter promptly and take appropriate steps as warranted to assure a safe, comfortable and productive work environment. As a matter of policy, we do not comment about personnel matters.” (Read more from “Top NPR, New York Times Executive Accused of Lewd Sexual Harassment Is Placed on Leave” HERE)

3 Dartmouth Professors Subjects of State Attorney General ‘Sexual Misconduct’ Probe

By Fox News. The New Hampshire state attorney general said Tuesday he is probing allegations of sexual misconduct against three Dartmouth professors.

The announcement came a week after Dartmouth said it was investigating potential “serious misconduct” against the three educators without clarification.

Attorney General Gordon MacDonald said his investigation is based on information provided by the Ivy League school.

“This office has engaged in a dialogue with Dartmouth College and we have learned from the College that it has received allegations of sexual misconduct,” MacDonald said.

The three professors are Todd Heatherton, Bill Kelley and Paul Whalen according to officials. They are members of the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the Hanover school. (Read more from “3 Dartmouth Professors Subjects of State Attorney General ‘Sexual Misconduct’ Probe” HERE)

Trump Orders More Extreme Vetting in Wake of Fatal NYC Terrorist Attack

President Donald Trump stressed on Twitter that he has ordered the Department of Homeland Security to take extreme measures to screen foreign visitors to the U.S. after a fatal terrorist attack in New York City Tuesday evening.

The president has pushed an extreme vetting program for immigrants since he took office earlier this year. After what is being called the deadliest terrorist attack on New York City since 9/11, the president appears to believe that more aggressive measures are required.

Trump has repeatedly tied immigration to radical Islamic terrorism on American soil, a link that was demonstrated by Tuesday’s attack. The 29-year-old attacker — Sayfullo Saipov — was a green card holder from Uzbekistan. Authorities found a letter in Arabic at the scene that appeared to indicate the terrorist is loyal to the Islamic State. ‘Dinosaur Mummy’ Unveiled in Museum

Scientists are hailing this prehistoric dinosaur as the “best-preserved dinosaur on Earth.” In fact, it is so well-preserved that it cannot be defined as a fossil. This magnificent ancient 18-foot-long specimen has been called a genuine “dinosaur mummy.”

The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology in Alberta, Canada, recently unveiled a dinosaur exhibit: “We don’t just have a skeleton,” Caleb Brown, a researcher at the museum, told National Geographic. “We have a dinosaur as it would have been.”

Since it was unearthed it has kept its shape; its bones aren’t visible and even some of its innards are still intact. Researchers are amazed at the extent of the almost unparalleled degree of preservation.

The dinosaur is so well preserved that it “might have been walking around a couple of weeks ago,” Jakob Vinther, a paleobiologist from the University of Bristol, said. “I’ve never seen anything like this.” (Read more from “‘Dinosaur Mummy’ Unveiled in Museum” HERE)

A Trump Campaign Official Reportedly Testified Before Mueller Grand Jury

By Chuck Ross. The senior Trump campaign official who brought George Papadopoulos onto the Trump campaign met last week with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s prosecutors and testified before a federal grand jury, NBC news is reporting.

Sam Clovis, the campaign’s co-chairman and top policy adviser, brought Papadopoulos onto the campaign’s foreign policy team last March, The Daily Caller was told on Monday.

Interactions between Clovis and Papadopoulos, a 30-year-old energy consultant, became a subject of intrigue on Monday after a federal court unsealed documents showing that Papadopoulos accepted a plea deal earlier this month for lying to the FBI about his interactions with three people who claimed to have links to the Russian government.

Papadopoulos’ email exchanges with Clovis, a former conservative radio host, feature prominently in a statement of offense submitted by Mueller’s prosecutors in the case.

The emails appear to show Clovis encouraging Papadopoulos to set up “off the record” meetings with Russian officials. The Mueller team’s statement of offense also suggests that Papadopoulos claimed that Clovis told him last March that a core policy focus for the Trump campaign was improving relations between the U.S. and Russia. Manafort and Gates Pose ‘Serious Risk of Flight,’ Says Mueller

By Ken Dilanian. Former Trump campaign aides Paul Manafort and Rick Gates posed a “serious risk of flight” because of their wealth and connections abroad, special counsel Robert Mueller argued in newly filed court papers.

A federal judge granted Mueller’s request for substantial bail and travel restrictions on the pair, who face a 12-count criminal indictment alleging money laundering and bank, tax and lobbying disclosure violations.

“The defendants pose a risk of flight based on the serious nature of the charges, their history of deceptive and misleading conduct, the potentially significant sentences the defendants face, the strong evidence of guilt, their significant financial resources, and their foreign connections,” Mueller’s office wrote in a bail memo unsealed Tuesday.

“Both have had substantial overseas ties, including assets held abroad, significant foreign work connections, and significant travel abroad. Those aspects of the defendants’ history and characteristics evidence a risk of flight.” (Read more from “Manafort and Gates Pose ‘Serious Risk of Flight,’ Says Mueller” HERE)

Kaine Falsely Claims Conservative News Outlet Funded Dossier

Sen. Tim Kaine falsely accused the Washington Free Beacon of funding the Russian dossier when it is clear they stopped paying Fusion GPS before the firm worked on the dossier.

The Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign were revealed as funders of the dossier that alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Kaine tried to deflect from that fact during a Tuesday interview on CNN, instead incorrectly blaming the Washington Free Beacon . . .

“If you’re asking about the dossier, that was funded by a conservative, online news publication–the Washington Free Beacon,” Kaine falsely stated. “And they hired a British secret service agent and then when they decided to drop it, apparently…some of the funds used to continue the investigation were used by the Clinton campaign.” . . .

While the Free Beacon paid Fusion GPS for standard opposition research, Fusion GPS did not contract with ex-British agent Christopher Steele until after the conservative news outlet stopped paying. The creation of the dossier also did not occur until the Free Beacon was out of the equation. Thus, the DNC and the Clinton campaign were solely responsible for funding the creation of the dossier. GOP Voters Depicted as Racists Chasing Minority Kids

A group supporting Democrat Ralph Northam in the Virginia gubernatorial race has unleashed a racist attack in an inflammatory new video ad that purports to tie Republican Ed Gillespie to white supremacists.

In the video, a white man driving a pickup is shown chasing several minority children through a neighborhood. The pickup is adorned with a Confederate flag, a Gillespie bumper sticker and a “Don’t Tread on Me” license plate. The children running from the truck include two Hispanic boys, a black boy and a Muslim girl in a hijab.

The children run into an alley and attempt to climb a fence as the truck charges them, but one of them wakes up to reveal the ordeal to be a nightmare before the vehicle hits them.

“Is this what Donald Trump and Ed Gillespie mean by the American dream?” a voiceover asks while a couple is shown watching footage of white supremacists marching in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The ad was produced by the Latino Victory Fund, a left-wing political action committee whose stated mission is “growing Latino political power by increasing Latino representation at every level of government – from the school board to the Senate to the White House.” (Read more from “GOP Voters Depicted as Racists Chasing Minority Kids” HERE)

New York Attacker a Muslim Immigrant From Uzbekistan

By Leo Hohmann. A male immigrant from Uzbekistan in his late 20s drove a rented Home Depot truck into a group of pedestrians on a busy bike path in lower Manhattan Tuesday afternoon, killing at least eight people and injuring nine as he shouted “Allahu Akbar,” which in English means “Allah is Greatest!”

The terror suspect’s name has not been released by authorities, but several news outlets are reporting it as Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov. He is a native of Uzbekistan who entered the U.S. around 2010 and was here on a green card, meaning he was a legal permanent resident, possibly a refugee.

He had once worked as an Uber driver.

Translated into English, the name Sayfullo means “”Sword of Allah,” and Habibullaevic means “Lover of Allah.”

Uzbekistan is a country in central Asia dominated by Islam with a Muslim population of more than 90 percent. (Read more from “New York Attacker a Muslim Immigrant From Uzbekistan” HERE)

Suspect Claimed He Committed NYC Truck Attack for ISIS: Sources

By NBC New York. The 29-year-old man detained after a flatbed truck zoomed down a popular lower Manhattan bike path, killing at least 8 people and injuring nearly a dozen more, left a note in the vehicle claiming he committed the attack for ISIS, according to law enforcement sources.

Authorities said the man — identified by sources as Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, an Uber and truck driver living in Paterson, New Jersey, — is thought to be a “lone actor” in the attack in the Hudson River Greenway on Tuesday afternoon. U.S. counterintelligence officials added that no group has taken responsibility for the attack.

Sources said he rented the truck from a Home Depot in Passaic, drove over the George Washington Bridge and sped down the greenway for more than a dozen blocks before deliberately ramming into a school bus for children near Stuyvesant High School and P.S. 89.

The Uzbek national who is a permanent U.S. resident then shouted “Allahu Ackbar,” got out of that truck and was seen running through traffic on West Street with a pellet gun and a paintball gun before being shot in the abdomen by a police officer on patrol and taken into custody. He’s being treated at Bellevue Hospital. (Read more from “Suspect Claimed He Committed NYC Truck Attack for ISIS: Sources” HERE)

Parent Holds Teacher Hostage, Gets Shot

A parent who allegedly took a teacher hostage at a Riverside elementary school Tuesday afternoon, prompting an evacuation and hourslong standoff, was shot by police and has since died, authorities said.

The man was taken from the scene in a stretcher and put in an ambulance about 6 p.m. Tuesday after officers entered the classroom where the hostage was held, and an officer-involved shooting occurred, Riverside police said. He later died from his injuries, police said.

After being in fear of the victim’s safety all day, police said Linda Montgomery, 70, was safe after the incident, but taken to a hospital as a precaution. It is unclear what led up to the police shooting, but police also used a flash bang to distract the suspect, officials said. His condition is unknown.

The incident was originally reported about 11:12 a.m. at Castle View Elementary School, 6201 Shaker Drive, according to Riverside Police Department spokesman Officer Ryan Railsback . . .

Police responded to the school for a disturbance involving the parent. He apparently did not follow protocol, forced himself into the school, became upset and barricaded himself inside the classroom with the teacher, Railsback said. It is unclear why the parent, who has not been identified, was upset and if the teacher was already in the classroom or was pulled in by the parent.
