Planned Parenthood President: Christians Should Be Forced to Perform Abortions

By Life Site News. is on her way out the door as the CEO of the Planned Parenthood abortion business. But before leaving she is offering one final shot at pro-life medical professionals.

Richards, in a fundraising email to a pro abortion members of Planned Parenthood, essentially says that Christians should be forced to perform abortions. She aggressively criticizes the new conscience protections President Donald Trump has put in place to protect the civil rights of Americans who are medical workers who do not want to be forced to perform or assist in abortions.

As LifeNews reported, Trump launched a new division within the Department of Health and Human Services to protect nurses and doctors who don’t want to perform abortions. The division will protect anyone who has a “moral objection” to involvement in an abortion because it kills an unborn child before birth.

“The Conscience and Religious Freedom Division has been established to restore federal enforcement of our nation’s laws that protect the fundamental and unalienable rights of conscience and religious freedom,” HHS Acting Secretary Eric Hargan said upon announcement. “The Conscience and Religious Freedom Division has been established to restore federal enforcement of our nation’s laws that protect the fundamental and unalienable rights of conscience and religious freedom.” (Read more from “Planned Parenthood President: Christians Should Be Forced to Perform Abortions” HERE)

Cecile Richards Announces Resignation from Planned Parenthood

By Christian News. Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards announced on Friday that she is resigning from her position with the abortion and contraception giant, but in no way recanted her work with the organization.

Rather, Richards praised Planned Parenthood and spoke glowingly about the 12 years that she had spent leading the sexually-centered business . . .

The Center for Medical Progress (CMP), which has been one of the most prominent opponents of Planned Parenthood—and exposed the organization’s practice of transferring the body parts of aborted babies to for-profit biomedical companies—opined that Richards’ announcement could signal problems within the organization.

“After CMP’s revealing undercover videos of Planned Parenthood’s top abortion doctors and the damning findings of multiple Congressional probes, Richards’ departure shows that the old strategy is no longer working as Planned Parenthood faces federal criminal investigation for selling aborted baby hearts, lungs, livers, and brains,” said director David Daleiden. “Planned Parenthood’s new leadership should commit to full transparency with the Department of Justice and with the public, and to ending this taxpayer-funded criminal abortion enterprise once and for all.” (Read more from “Cecile Richards Announces Resignation from Planned Parenthood” HERE)

FBI Knew About Hillary Emails for Entire Month Prior to Alerting Congress

By Fox News. Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe knew of thousands of emails related to the Hillary Clinton private server investigation for at least a month before then-FBI Director James Comey informed Congress, The Wall Street Journal reported late Wednesday.

That lag is the subject of an investigation by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz as part of a wider probe into the FBI’s actions prior to the 2016 election. The Washington Post was the first to report that McCabe was a focus of Horowitz’s investigation.

The timeline of when the emails were discovered on the laptop of former Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner emerged in text messages between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, the Journal reported.

McCabe left his position Monday ahead of his planned retirement, effective March 18. The Post reported Tuesday that McCabe had met with FBI Director Christopher Wray to discuss the inspector general’s investigation prior to the announcement of his departure. McCabe Was Aware of New Clinton Emails Month Before Congress Told

By WSJ. Top FBI officials were aware for at least a month before alerting Congress that emails potentially related to an investigation of Hillary Clinton had emerged during a key stretch of the 2016 presidential campaign, according to text messages reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe had learned about the thousands of emails by Sept. 28, 2016, and Director James Comey informed Congress about them on Oct. 28, 11 days before the presidential election, the messages show. Mr. Comey later said nothing in the new emails had changed the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s decision that Mrs. Clinton had committed no prosecutable offenses.

That lag is one focus of an investigation by the Justice Department’s inspector general, or in-house watchdog, into a variety of FBI actions in advance of the 2016 election, according to people familiar with the matter. Mr. McCabe stepped down this week, and FBI Director Christopher Wray in a note to bureau employees announcing Mr. McCabe’s departure also said he wouldn’t comment on the inspector-general probe. The Washington Post first reported the inspector general’s interest in the time lag.

Mr. McCabe has declined to comment on his departure and the inspector-general investigation. (Read more from “McCabe Was Aware of New Clinton Emails Month Before Congress Told” please click HERE)

‘Cancer Vaccine’ Eliminates Tumors in Mice

By Stanford Medicine News Center. Activating T cells in tumors eliminated even distant metastases in mice, Stanford researchers found. Lymphoma patients are being recruited to test the technique in a clinical trial.

Injecting minute amounts of two immune-stimulating agents directly into solid tumors in mice can eliminate all traces of cancer in the animals, including distant, untreated metastases, according to a study by researchers at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

The approach works for many different types of cancers, including those that arise spontaneously, the study found.

The researchers believe the local application of very small amounts of the agents could serve as a rapid and relatively inexpensive cancer therapy that is unlikely to cause the adverse side effects often seen with bodywide immune stimulation.

“When we use these two agents together, we see the elimination of tumors all over the body,” said Ronald Levy, MD, professor of oncology. “This approach bypasses the need to identify tumor-specific immune targets and doesn’t require wholesale activation of the immune system or customization of a patient’s immune cells.” (Read more from “Cancer Vaccine Eliminates Tumors in Mice” HERE)

Injection Helps the Immune System Obliterate Tumors, at Least in Mice

By Mitch Leslie. Our immune cells can destroy tumors, but sometimes they need a kick in the pants to do the job. A study in mice describes a new way to incite these attacks by injecting an immune-stimulating mixture directly into tumors. The shots trigger the animals’ immune system to eliminate not only the injected tumors, but also other tumors in their bodies.

“This is a very important study,” says immunologist Keith Knutson of the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, who wasn’t connected to the research. “It provides a good pretext for going into humans.”

To bring the wrath of the immune system down on tumors, researchers have tried shooting them up with a variety of molecules and viruses. So far, however, almost every candidate they’ve tested hasn’t worked in people . . .

The big question is whether the approach works in people, as most rodent cancer therapies don’t translate to humans. Levy and his colleagues are about to find out. They are launching a clinical trial to evaluate the safety of their approach and gauge its effectiveness in patients with lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system. Lone Democratic Senator Who Applauded Trump’s Speech: ‘Just to Sit There and Frown Is Not Going to Fix Anything’

Throughout President Trump’s 80-minute State of the Union address, you’d think Democrats were sitting on their hands and they’d fallen asleep.

Whenever the cameras panned the Capitol’s House chamber to show the 500-plus lawmakers packed in for the speech, half the room was clapping and half wasn’t. In one shot, Democrats could be seen flipping through their smart phones or chatting with each other. Rudely, many left before the end of the address.

Not so, though, for Sen. Joe Manchin, West Virginia Democrat. He was often shown jumping to his feet and applauding, especially when Trump touted subjects with which many Americans agree (as the president did repeatedly) . . .

Manchin said on “CBS This Morning” that Democrats really need to grow up and appreciate ideas that all Americans support — for the good of the country.

“There’s so much we need to do,” he said. “And just to sit there and frown is not going to fix anything.” (Read more from “Lone Democratic Senator Who Applauded Trump’s Speech: ‘Just to Sit There and Frown Is Not Going to Fix Anything'” HERE)

Islamic Professor Taken into Custody for Rape Charges

The prominent Swiss academic Tariq Ramadan, a professor of contemporary Islamic studies at the University of Oxford, has been taken into custody by French police following accusations of rape.

A judicial source confirmed to Reuters that Ramadan was taken into custody on Wednesday. A preliminary investigation was opened after two women filed police complaints against him late last year, accusing him of rape.

Ramadan, a senior research fellow of St Antony’s College, took a leave of absence from the university last November after the two women filed complaints. He has denied the allegations and filed a complaint for slander against the author Henda Ayari, one of his accusers.

In October, Ayari, 40, who heads the women’s organisation Les Libératrices, filed a complaint with prosecutors in Rouen, France, alleging rape, sexual violence, harassment and intimidation by Ramadan. She said she was assaulted by him in a Paris hotel room in 2012.

Ayari said she had described the rape in a chapter of her book, I Chose to be Free, published in France in November 2016, giving her attacker a made-up name. In the book, Ayari describes a sex attack by an intellectual in a Paris hotel room after a conference, saying she fought back but was insulted, slapped and treated violently. 2 Basic Cable Channels Are Now Allowing the Use of the F-Word

Two basic cable channels are now allowing the use of the word “f—” on television, and more will probably follow suit.

Premium channels, like HBO and Showtime, have used the word frequently, but cable channels are accountable to advertisers and generally keep the swearing to a minimum.

“Basic cable is not subject to the guidelines of the Federal Communications Commission, so the channels’ self-regulation is based on standard mores, and what advertisers are perceived to tolerate,” Buzzfeed wrote according to The Daily Wire. “So it makes sense that in a world in which President Trump uses the word s—hole during a policy meeting, which was then followed by news divisions’ divisions to repeat the obscenity, these standards are always evolving.”

Now, Syfy and the USA Network will allow the use of the coarse word whenever they see fit, The Daily Wire reported.

“Syfy declined to put an executive on the phone to discuss the change in the internal rules, but a spokesperson said that when language — f— specifically — is deemed important to the style or plot of a show, Syfy and USA now allow it,” Buzzfeed continued. “Any show with f— airs with the TV-MA guideline, denoting that the program is meant for adult viewers.”

AMC and FX are following their lead, according to The Daily Wire.

According to Buzzfeed, the “first purposeful, uncensored ‘f—‘” was aired in 2003.

“But it was nearly 15 years ago — on July 4, 2003 — that Comedy Central aired what seems to be the first purposeful, uncensored ‘f—‘ on basic cable, during the kickoff of its programming block ‘Secret Stash,’” Buzzfeed wrote. “Secret Stash” was aired Saturdays and Sundays at 1 a.m., but it no longer exists.

Uncensored programs on Comedy Central air after midnight and are rated TV-MA.

In 2016, FX president John Landgraf addressed the use of profanity at the Television Critic Association’s 2015 summer press tour, The Washington Post reported.

“We’ve used the f-word on air now multiple times in the last several years,” Landgraf said. “So we’re on the verge of being, kind of, done with the debate or battle over language. It’s close anyway.”

According to the Daily Wire, this all started when CNN covered President Donald Trump’s alleged comment that African nations were “s—hole countries.”

The network said the word almost 200 times in one day, flashed it across the screen without censoring it and even the morning show wrote it out on a whiteboard, The Daily Wire reported. The morning show which airs from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. reportedly used the word 33 times.

“There’s no question that some of the policies and rules and words that we use have changed over the years because society has changed,” Alan Wurtzel, overseer of research and broadcast standards for NBC, told The Post in 2016.

Co-creator of Syfy’s “The Magicians” Sera Gamble said that they now “feel more like ourselves” by being able to use the word.

“We all just feel more like ourselves when we can use the word ‘f—.’ It feels honest. And it’s just a perfect word,” Gamble told Buzzfeed over Twitter. “Maybe Trump will use it in public sometime and then even NPR will uncensor their f—s!” (For more from the author of “2 Basic Cable Channels Are Now Allowing the Use of the F-Word” please click HERE)

Here’s How Many Times Trump Said ‘I’ in His First SOTU Address… Compare That with Obama’s

The language used by President Donald Trump in his first ever State of the Union speech on Tuesday contrasted sharply with the words of former President Barack Obama when he addressed Congress in 2010.

According to a transcript of the speech released by CNN, Trump referred to himself in the first person singular 30 times. He said the word “I” 29 times, in addition to adding one “me.”

Obama, when he delivered his first State of the Union, used “some version of ‘I’ or ‘me’ nearly 100 times,” wrote Dan Gainor, the vice president for business and culture at the Media Research Center.

In an op-ed for Fox News, Gainor wrote that Obama made these “I” or “me” references nearly four times as often as Trump did.

“Obama’s 2010 speech was littered with “I” or a contraction in some form or another — 88 times, with another 10 “me,” Gainor wrote.

In one sentence, for example, Obama managed to say the word “I” four times.

“But when I ran for president, I promised I wouldn’t just do what was popular, I would do what was necessary,” the then-president said.

There was only one time, meanwhile, when Trump said “I” twice in the same sentence, according to Gainor.

As Gainor noted, mainstream media outlets often accuse Trump of having a massive ego. A recent headline from Vanity Fair read, “Will Trump’s ego launch a nuclear war?” Moreover, Politico tried to connect the president’s ego to alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

But if their speeches are any indication, it’s Obama, not Trump, who was obsessed with himself, Gainor suggested.

A 2009 study from NewsBusters, a division of the MRC, claimed that in his first 41 speeches as president, Obama mentioned himself 1,198 times.

Trump’s Tuesday address could not have been more different.

In addition to limiting his usage of “I” and “me,” Trump made a point of saying the words “we” or “our.”

According to The Daily Caller, Trump said “we” 129 times, and “our” 104 times.

“As long as we are proud of who we are and what we are fighting for, there is nothing we cannot achieve,” Trump said near the end of his 80-minute long address. “As long as we have confidence in our values, faith in our citizens, and trust in our God, we will never fail.”

“Our families will thrive. Our people will prosper. And our nation will forever be safe and strong and proud and mighty and free,” he added, emphasizing the importance of coming together as Americans and celebrating our shared heritage. New Video Shows Just How Close a Russian Jet Came to Clipping a U.S. Navy Plane

The U.S. Navy released five more videos Wednesday of a recent “unsafe” intercept by a Russian fighter.

A Russian Su-27 fighter jet intercepted a Navy EP-3 surveillance aircraft flying in international airspace over the Black Sea, according to the Pentagon.

The video of the intercept released Tuesday shows the Russian jet tearing past the American plane at close range, with the fighter coming within 5 feet at times.

The new videos “show the Russian Sukhoi Su-27 intercepting the EP-3 from a very close position, at the same altitude, and with an estimated wingtip-to-wingtip horizontal separation as little as five feet at times,” Navy Capt. Bill Ellis, the commander of Task Force 67, said in a statement accompanying the footage. “For the Russian fighter aircraft to fly this close to the U.S. Navy aircraft, especially for extended periods of time, is unsafe. The smallest lapse of focus or error in airmanship by the intercepting aircrew can have disastrous consequences.

“There is no margin for error and insufficient time or space for our aircrews to take corrective action.”

The U.S. Navy first accused Russia of engaging in “unsafe” behavior Monday, with the Department of State expressing “the highest level of concern.”

According to the military but not shown in the videos, the Russian fighter “executed a hard right-to-left turn” from the right side of the American aircraft “with an excessive closure rate and came within five feet of the EP-3’s right wingtip.”

The Russian jet then crossed in front of the EP-3 at a distance of fewer than 10 feet, “executing a sharp dive below, which resulted in violent turbulence for the U.S. EP-3 and its crewmembers.”

Intercepts by Russian and Chinese fighters are extremely common and have endangered American airmen and women on numerous occasions over the years.

CAIR Is Silent on U.S. Imams’ Call to Kill Jews

In December 2017, Islamist Watch documented three different instances in which the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) ignored Islamist hate speech against other minorities.

Since then, we’ve continued to ask CAIR for comment on egregious instances of Islamist bigotry. CAIR often condemns hate speech when it’s committed by the far-Right, but it appears silent when extremists within the Muslim community – which it claims to represent – express similar rhetoric.

So far, 2018 has already brought us four examples. On January 2, we contacted CAIR Texas to ask for comment on a Houston-based imam named Raed Saleh Al-Rousan, who had preached, “Judgment Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews. The Muslims will kill the Jews…This is the promise of Allah.” Both CAIR-Texas executive director Mustafaa Carroll and communications director Ruth Nasrullah ignored our request.

On January 15, we contacted CAIR-National and their southeast chapters (Alabama and Georgia) to ask for comment on yet another anti-Semitic sermon. This time, the culprit was North Carolina-based, Syrian-born imam Abdullah Khadra, who had delivered a similar sermon to that of Al-Rousan. We received no response from any CAIR branch. Trey Gowdy Is Leaving Politics

Rep. Trey Gowdy announced Wednesday that he will retire at the end of the year, becoming the ninth Republican chairman of a congressional committee to decide to leave Congress at the end of this session.

“I will not be filing for re-election to Congress nor seeking any other political or elected office; instead, I will be returning to the justice system,” Gowdy said in a statement posted on Twitter.

“Whatever skills I may have are better utilized in a courtroom than in Congress, and I enjoy our justice system more than our political system. As I look back on my career, it is the jobs that both seek and reward fairness that are most rewarding,” he added.

Gowdy became the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee last June after Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, decided to resign from Congress. Gowdy had previously chaired the House Select Committee on Benghazi, which investigated the 2012 attack on the U.S. compound that resulted in the deaths of several Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens.

The announcement was posted after Republican lawmakers, who were traveling to their annual retreat in West Virginia, experienced a crash on their chartered Amtrak train. Their train appeared to hit a garbage truck. The White House confirmed the crash, and said in a statement that there is one known fatality. So far, lawmakers appear not to have sustained major injuries. (Read more from “Trey Gowdy Is Leaving Politics” HERE)
