By The Blaze. . .About halfway through the chaotic debate, President Donald Trump homed in on Hunter Biden and scrutiny surrounding his work in Ukraine and Russia during the Obama administration, for which he was paid handsomely. Biden’s critics have suggested the financial payments are evidence of corruption and a conflict of interest while Biden was vice president.

Trump asked, “While we’re at it, just out of curiosity, the mayor of Moscow’s wife gave your son $3.5 millions of dollars. What did he do to deserve it?” . . .

Last week, Senate Republicans on the Homeland Security Committee and the Finance Committee released a joint report leveling new, serious allegations against Hunter Biden.

The report detailed more than a dozen “key findings” that connect Hunter Biden’s time on the board of Burisma in Ukraine to possible corruption, aiding Moscow’s disinformation efforts, and even hindering U.S. foreign policy.

CNN’s John King: Hunter Biden Is ‘a Swamp Creature… Trading in His Family Name to Make Money’

By Fox News. CNN anchor John King said on Wednesday that Hunter Biden is a “swamp creature” who used his powerful father to make money.

Trump attacked Joe Biden over his son Hunter’s foreign business dealings in a heated exchange during the first presidential debate on Tuesday night, which prompted the CNN anchor to admit it’s a weakness for the Democratic nominee.

“Hunter Biden in many ways is a weakness for the former vice president because of his work, he was a, I’ll call it out, he’s a swamp creature. Like many people, trading in his family name to make money around the world,” King said.

California to Study ‘Reparations’ for Slavery

The State of California will study reparations to black Americans, thanks to a bill signed into law Wednesday by Gov. Gavin Newsom.

AB 3121 will create a nine-member “Task Force to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans, with a Special Consideration for African Americans Who are Descendants of Persons Enslaved in the United States,” according to the text of the bill.

California was admitted to the Union in 1850 as a free state and has no history of legal slavery. . .

Despite California’s free history, the reparations task force is assigned the mission of evaluating the history and impact of slavery on the United States as a whole.

The goal, as with many California policies, is to be a model for liberal policies elsewhere — or, as Newsom said, according to The Hill, to be “a paradigm that we hope will be resonant all across the United States.” (Read more from “California to Study ‘Reparations’ for Slavery” HERE)

Senate Passes Temporary Spending Bill to Avoid Government Shutdown

The Senate passed a spending bill that temporarily averts a government shutdown.

On Wednesday, the Senate voted 84-10 in bipartisan fashion to approve a continuing resolution that funds the government until Dec. 11, which the House of Representatives passed last week. President Trump is expected to sign the bill Wednesday night before current funding levels are due to expire.

The bill also includes $8 billion in nutrition assistance for families amid the coronavirus pandemic, allows for the Federal Emergency Management Agency to access 2021 funding to combat wildfires setting the West Coast ablaze and dangerous storms this hurricane season on the East Coast, and finances a possible transition should Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden win the November election. Corrupt Comey Conveniently Claims No Memory of Parts of FBI’s Trump-Russia ‘Collusion’ Probe

Fired FBI Director James Comey needs immediate medical attention. He suffers from either acute amnesia or debilitating dementia.

At a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday on the FBI’s Trump-Russia “collusion” investigation and the bureau’s egregious abuse of the surveillance process under Comey’s reign, he claimed to know nothing about everything.

Like a broken record, Comey responded to questions with the same pat answers: “Not that I recall … I don’t know … I don’t remember … I never knew … that doesn’t ring a bell.” . . .

Even though Comey swore under oath that the evidence he submitted was true and verified, it was not. His defense Wednesday was that he was clueless, not corrupt. He claimed he had no independent knowledge of anything. . .

When the “collusion” hoax was eventually revealed and the malevolent acts of the FBI exposed, Comey feigned abject ignorance. He never apologized for the national nightmare that he and his confederates launched that cost taxpayers more than $25 million. WATCH: President Trump Clarifies Stance on Militia Groups

President Donald Trump clarified his stance regarding the “alt-right” group, “Proud Boys,” on Wednesday, encouraging them to “stand down and let law enforcement do its work.” . . .

The president made the clarification when speaking with reporters in front of the White House. In his remarks, he added that he is not aware of who the Proud Boys are, adding “you’ll have to give me a definition.” . . .

Trump would also go further and say that “everybody” — not just the Proud Boys — but any group that is acting as a militia and preventing law enforcement from doing its work needs to stand down.

ICE to Conduct Raids in Sanctuary Cities Before the Election

The Trump administration will carry out several high-profile immigration enforcement raids in cities with sanctuary policies. While ICE carries out raids all the time, these raids were apparently leaked to get the maximum political benefit for the president in his re-election campaign.

Most of the targets in the raids will be criminal illegal aliens — those who have been convicted of serious crimes or whose trial is pending. The operations will be in California, Denver, and Philadelphia, and could potentially include other cities and jurisdictions across the country.

Fox News:

The Washington Post first reported about the operations, which could take place as soon as this week in California. Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf may travel to at least one of the areas, it said.

“We do not comment on any law enforcement sensitive issues that may adversely impact our officers and the public,” an ICE spokesperson said in a statement. “However, every day as part of routine operations, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) targets and arrests criminal aliens and other individuals who have violated our nation’s immigration laws.”

Chris Wallace Just Gave the Most Embarrassing Moderator Performance in History; Moderator Faces Intense Backlash Over Bias During Debate

By The Federalist. Debating one person is difficult, especially if he’s had oodles of alone time in his basement to prepare while you’ve been a little busy leading the country. Debating that person and a partisan media hack at the same time is just BS.

That, however, was President Donald Trump’s exact plight Tuesday night at the first 2020 presidential debate, when he was treated to a two-on-one showdown with his actual opponent Joe Biden and his honorary rival, Fox News moderator Chris Wallace.

Wallace, a registered Democrat, failed to maintain any control over the debate. Even members of the left pointed out what a chaotic “disgrace” the whole ordeal was. But after a while, it was hard to pay attention to anything but Wallace’s Biden bias. Media moderators playing favorites with presidential contenders is nothing new, but Wallace’s persistent partisanship reached a new low.

From interrupting Trump but not Biden at nearly every turn, blocking the incumbent before he could correct mischaracterizations and flat-out lies from Biden, to full-throated arguments with the president despite lobbing soft-ball questions — or no questions at all — to the former vice president, Wallace’s presentation was appalling. By Daily Wire. Fox News host Chris Wallace, a registered Democrat, faced intense backlash on Tuesday night for what was widely deemed as bias in the debate in the favor of Democrat Joe Biden and against Republican President Donald Trump. . .

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade even noted the discrepancy and called it out on social media, writing: “Why is @JoeBiden allowed to interrupt? @realDonaldTrump is not.”

Lawyer Admits She Asked President Trump Not to Pardon Michael Flynn

A lawyer for Michael Flynn on Tuesday told a federal judge that in her effort to have her client’s case vacated she’s spoken in person about the case to President Trump and asked him not to pardon Flynn.

Powell said she spoke with Trump and White House lawyer Jenna Ellis recently about the Justice Department’s request to dismiss the case.

“I provided the White House with an update on the overall status of the litigation,” Powell said in a federal court in Washington, D.C. “I never discussed this case with the president until recently, when I asked him not to issue a pardon.”

U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan concluded the five-hour hearing without making a ruling on the department’s motion to dismiss.
