European Socialists Suddenly Realize Open Border Policies Makes People Hate Them

Europe’s socialist leaders are avoiding the topic of illegal immigration as they struggle to compete with conservative populism across the continent.

The Party of European Socialists (PES), Europe’s second-largest political group, is hosting a three-day summit in Amsterdam beginning Thursday to energize activists as elections play out in various European countries. However, the leftist coalition will barely be addressing the issue of mass immigration, despite it being a top concern among European leaders.

“Migrants are increasingly criminalized and used as a scapegoat for social and economic hardships and to justify discriminatory policies,” states the one and only reference to the subject in the PES’ final declaration of the congress, first obtained by Politico. A Social Policy program, to be approved on Friday, also states the need to guarantee “the protection of migrants, asylum seekers and undocumented people.”

Immigration is not mentioned in an outline establishing the group’s priorities and talking points, and there is no scheduled debate for the issue, according to Politico.

Europe experienced an illegal immigration crisis in the mid-2010s when civil war in Syria and other international conflicts caused massive refugee flows, with more than one million illegal migrants landing on the continent in 2015. Democrats Block Legislation To Pay Troops During Shutdown

Democrats blocked the Senate from considering a defense spending bill on Thursday afternoon that would pay military service members during the shutdown.

Senators voted 50 to 44, with just three Democrats breaking with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to advance a full-year defense appropriations bill. The failed vote comes as Congress is locked in a stalemate to end the 16-day shutdown with Democrats largely refusing to cross party lines and reopen the government.

The defense appropriations bill would fund the Department of War for the upcoming fiscal year and ensure that active-duty troops do not miss a paycheck during the shutdown. The measure also includes a military pay raise.

Military personnel would have gone without pay for the first time in U.S. history on Wednesday if President Donald Trump had not tapped unused Pentagon funding to temporarily cover troop pay.

However, there is no guarantee of future paychecks for military personnel if the shutdown continues into November. (Read more from “Democrats Block Legislation To Pay Troops During Shutdown” HERE)

Israel PM Netanyahu in Court for Graft Trial Appearance

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was back in a Tel Aviv court on Oct 15 for the latest hearing in his long-running corruption trial, which opened in May 2020.

The prime minister kept a smiling face as he and his entourage of several ministers from his conservative Likud party were heckled by protesters en route to the tribunal.

It comes after US President Donald Trump suggested on Oct 13 that the Israeli premier should be pardoned in his three separate corruption cases.

His latest appearance at the Tel Aviv court also follows the return of the hostages taken by Hamas as part of Mr Trump’s US-brokered plan to end the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.

In one case, Mr Netanyahu and his wife Sara are accused of accepting more than US$260,000 (S$336,970) worth of luxury goods, including champagne, cigars and jewellery, from billionaires in exchange for political favours. Alaska Air Guard Evacuates Hundreds from Western Alaska

The Alaska Air National Guard C-17 evacuated over 300 civilians from the remote western coast of Alaska to emergency shelters in Anchorage, the latest in the military response to massive flooding caused by Typhoon Halong over the weekend. The crew flew the evacuation from Bethel, the only town along the impacted coast with a runway large enough to handle heavy cargo jets.

Many onboard had been rescued in recent days by Alaska Army and Air Guard teams, Coast Guard and state rescue workers who spent the previous several days finding and moving civilians from surrounding towns where homes and buildings had been left destroyed or uninhabitable by flood waters.

Military and state rescue forces had rescued at least 51 people in those remote villages over the weekend, officials said.

The storm received little attention outside the state, but left a trail of devastation through several coastal villages whose populations are mostly Alaskan natives. The flooding has torn buildings, including some homes, from their foundations and floated them away.

The rescues have taken place in the communities of Kipnuk and Kwigillingok, an Alaska National Guard news release says. At least one person has been killed by the storm and two are missing, the Associated Press is reporting. (Read more from “Alaska Air Guard Evacuates Hundreds from Western Alaska” HERE)

John Bolton Indicted Over Handling of Classified Materials

The US Justice Department has charged John Bolton, a former national security adviser to President Donald Trump during his first term, with allegedly mishandling classified materials.

Bolton was indicted on 18 counts by a federal grand jury in Maryland. He’s accused of breaking laws related to the transmission or retention of national defense information, according to a copy of the indictment made public Thursday.

The alleged misconduct spanned from about April 2018 to August 2025, according to the indictment. Bolton “abused his position as National Security Advisor by sharing more than a thousand pages of information about his day-to-day activities” on the job, prosecutors said.

Bolton, who became one of Trump’s fiercest critics, is the latest of the president’s perceived enemies to face charges. Bolton has previously denied mishandling classified information.

“Anyone who abuses a position of power and jeopardizes our national security will be held accountable,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement. “No one is above the law.” (Read more from “John Bolton Indicted Over Handling of Classified Materials” HERE)

Questions Arise Over Alleged Google Searches Before Charlie Kirk Killing

In the days following the shocking murder of right-wing podcaster Charlie Kirk, social media has become a breeding ground for speculation — and now, one particularly unusual theory is gaining attention online.

While rumors about who ordered or carried out Kirk’s killing have ranged from political plots to faked-death claims, this new theory doesn’t focus on the people directly involved. Instead, it looks at Google search data — and suggests that someone may have known about the alleged killer, Tyler James Robinson, before Kirk’s death.

The Google Trends Conspiracy Theory

The theory began circulating on TikTok, where a creator claimed that Google Trends data shows an odd pattern of searches leading up to the tragedy. According to the video, Kirk was murdered on September 10, 2025, but there were Google searches for “Tyler James Robinson” from the Washington, D.C. metro area a full day earlier — on September 9, 2025.

This is probably nothing… 🤷‍♂️

That’s significant because the public didn’t learn Robinson’s name until September 11 and 12, after authorities identified him as the suspect. The TikToker shared screenshots purporting to show a small spike in searches for Robinson before his name was publicly known, suggesting that someone “knew” about him in advance.

The theory also claims there was a small spike in searches for “Losee Center” — the building where Robinson allegedly took aim at Kirk — on September 8, two days before the shooting.

Adding another twist, the TikToker alleged that a rare firearm used in the killing also saw an unexplained surge in searches on August 27, again traced to the Washington, D.C. area.

Missing Data Raises More Questions

However, when users tried to verify these claims, they hit a roadblock. The TikToker who shared the theory claimed that the graphs they used in their video — supposedly screenshots of historical Google Trends data — “no longer appear.”

Independent checks confirm that these specific search trends do not currently show up on Google Trends. Whether the data ever existed or was fabricated remains unclear.

Still, that hasn’t stopped people from speculating. Some users believe the data was “scrubbed” after drawing too much attention, while others think the entire claim was built on doctored screenshots.

Online Reactions and Skepticism

Another pushed back, arguing that the supposed screenshots don’t match Google’s actual Trends design, colors, or font. “The graphs are fake,” they wrote.

But not everyone is convinced they’re fake. One user claiming to have over a decade of experience in Google search analytics responded, “Only the red frame was added, in my opinion. My expertise is 13 years of Google search marketing.”

The data cited in the viral TikTok video cannot be independently confirmed, and Google has not made any statements about it.

Letitia James Is Housing Felon OnlyFans Model Relative at Her Other Virginia Property — Which Also Faced Fed Investigation

New York Attorney General Letitia James is housing a second felon family member at her properties in Virginia — and The Post can reveal she and her big sister were partners in crime.

James’ grand-niece Cayla Thompson-Hairston, 21 — who is an OnlyFans star with a public, X-rated social media presence — was charged in April 2024 with lying about her felony criminal record when she tried to buy a gun in Suffolk, Virginia, according to court docs.

Cayla was legally “disqualified” from owning a firearm due to an August 2020 felony charge of malicious wounding — which Virginia law defines as a crime in which a person “shoots, stabs, cuts or wounds any other person, or by any means causes bodily injury, with the intent to maim, disfigure, disable or kill.”

Thompson-Hairston was a juvenile at the time, and the records of that case are sealed.

In 2019, when Cayla was just 15 years old, she was also caught up in the criminal hijinks of her big sister, Nakia Thompson, 36, who is a wanted fugitive by North Carolina authorities with a slew of arrests, according to docs. Typhoon-Devastated Alaska Facing Hardships More Severe Than Most Americans Will Ever Comprehend

By Alternet. Remnants of a powerful typhoon swept into Western Alaska’s Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta on Oct. 12, 2025, producing a storm surge that flooded villages as far as 60 miles up the river. The water pushed homes off their foundations and set some afloat with people inside, officials said. More than 50 people had to be rescued in Kipnuk and Kwigillingok, hundreds were displaced in the region, and at least one person died.

Typhoon Halong was an unusual storm, likely fueled by the Pacific’s near-record warm surface temperatures this fall. Its timing means recovery will be even more difficult than usual for these hard-hit communities, as Alaska meteorologist Rick Thoman of the University Alaska Fairbanks explains.

Disasters in remote Alaska are not like disasters anywhere in the lower 48 states, he explains. While East Coast homeowners recovering from a nor’easter that flooded parts of New Jersey and other states the same weekend can run to Home Depot for supplies or drive to a hotel if their home floods, none of that exists in remote Native villages. . .

People are going to have really difficult decisions to make. Do they leave the community for the winter and hope to rebuild next summer?

There likely isn’t much available housing in the region, with the flooding so widespread on top of a housing shortage. Do displaced people go to Anchorage? Cities are expensive.

There is no easy answer. (Read more from “Typhoon-Devastated Alaska Facing Hardships More Severe Than Most Americans Will Ever Comprehend” HERE)

Videos, Photos Show Devastating Aftermath of Typhoon in Alaska

By Men’s Journal. Hurricane-force winds have devastated swaths of western Alaska and decimated at least two towns amid intense flooding that has killed at least two people.

According to multiple reports, remnants of Typhoon Halong raised water levels 4 to 6 feet above normal high tide levels, and dozens of people needed to be rescued across the region, including some waiting for help on rooftops. Families along the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta have been displaced due to the powerful storm that triggered major coastal flooding.

Video taken in Bethel, Alaska, shows boats being swept away. Another video shows how the typhoon, which packed more than 100 MPH winds and previously ravaged Japan, brought catastrophic flooding to the coastal villages of Yup’ik, with homes being swept away and destroyed.

At this moment, authorities continue to work on how many exactly are accounted for, but at least one woman was found dead, and at least two people are missing.

U.S. Coast Guard Captain Christopher Culpepper described the situation in the villages of Kipnuk and Kwigillingok as “absolute devastation,” per The Associated Press. About 380 people live in Kwigillingok, an Alaska Native community.

Houston-Based Company Makes LNG History in Alaska

Texas-based companies continue to lead the U.S. in oil and natural gas production – including in Alaska.

A Houston-based company has helped make history by completing the first liquified natural gas (LNG) delivery from Alaska’s North Slope beyond the arctic region this month.

Houston-based Harvest Midstream and Alaska’s Interior Gas Utility (IGU) have completed the first delivery of LNG via pipeline from Alaska’s North Slope to Fairbanks, making the delivery the first commercial sale of North Slope gas to communities beyond the Arctic region in U.S. history.

“For the first time in history, North Slope gas isn’t just staying on the Slope — it’s reaching beyond to power Alaska’s future,” Harvest CEO Jason Rebrook said. “This project unlocks clean, reliable energy for Interior families and businesses and shows what’s possible when we work together to build Alaska’s energy security.”

Harvest’s North Slope LNG facility near Deadhorse, Alaska, will produce up to 150,000 gallons a day, triple the capacity of IGU’s current plant. Deliveries are projected to surpass 8 million cubic feet of natural gas a day as IGU expands its infrastructure and converts customers over to natural gas service, it says. ‘They Watched and Didn’t Care’: Epstein Victim’s Memoir Reveals Jaw-Dropping New Details

The upcoming posthumous memoir of Virginia Giuffre, one of the most famous victims of billionaire financier and child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, was excerpted in The Guardian on Wednesday, going into detail about a number of twisted events that happened to her.

Giuffre, who [allegedly] passed away earlier this year from suicide, has implicated a number of prominent and well-connected people as part of Epstein’s crimes, one of them being Prince Andrew of the British Royal Family. . .

“Don’t be fooled by those in Epstein’s circle who say they didn’t know what he was doing,” wrote Giuffre. “Epstein not only didn’t hide what was happening, he took a certain glee in making people watch. And people did watch – scientists, fundraisers from the Ivy League and other heralded institutions, titans of industry. They watched and they didn’t care.”

All of this comes amid a spiraling controversy about the Trump administration’s refusal to release troves of case files on Epstein publicly, after promising they would. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is even accused of dragging his feet on swearing in a Democrat who won a special election to prevent passage of a bipartisan discharge petition to compel the administration to release the files.
