Biden Walks Fine Line on Vaccine Mandates

The Biden administration is walking a fine line on vaccine requirements, as it encourages employers to mandate shots for their workers but stops short of promoting other measures.

The White House, in an effort to boost a vaccination rate that has slowed from its April peak, has praised businesses that are mandating vaccinations for employees. Those steps in the private sector largely followed President Biden’s requirement last month that federal workers get vaccinated or submit to regular testing.

But there are several far-reaching measures Biden could impose — and that some experts are calling for. So far, the president has decided against implementing the kind of requirements implemented by U.S. allies.

For example, Canada on Friday announced it would require all airline passengers to be vaccinated, as well travelers on interprovincial trains and cruise ships — steps the U.S. has not taken, though a mask mandate remains in place for interstate travel.

Army veteran Matt Zeller issued a strong rebuke Monday night on MSNBC to President Biden’s Afghanistan speech, saying he was “appalled” by the lies the commander in chief told the American people about having planed for every contingency. Zeller, a Biden supporter, said the administration completely ignored his organization’s actual plan for how to evacuate America’s Afghan allies safely. Even worse than that, however, it looks like the Biden administration still has no plan for how to evacuate American citizens safely.

Speaking to CNN, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby admitted he didn’t even know the number of Americans currently trapped inside Afghanistan due to Taliban checkpoints—only giving his “best guess” of between 5,000 and 10,000 near Kabul. He then acknowledged there’s no plan for getting those Americans to the airport safely.

“What is the plan to get these people to the airport?” CNN’s John Berman asked.

“From a military perspective our focus is at the airport,” Kirby said. “Right now though I don’t want to set the expectation that we are equipped and able to go out into the countryside and physically move people into Kabul. Our focus right now, the troops that we have there, are at the airport. The idea is that we can get the air operations, not only have they resumed, but to keep them in place for as long as possible.”

‘A Real Threat’: Terrorists May Exploit Migrant Surge — and Enter the US, Ex-Border Honcho Warns

The former ​Border Patrol chief is warning that President Biden’s mishandling of the surge of illegal immigrants at the southern border has caused more than a humanitarian crisis — it’s also created a national security threat because of the number of known or suspected terrorists crossing into the US.

“Over and over again, I see other people talk about our mission, your mission, and the context of it being immigration or the current crisis today being an immigration crisis,” ​Rodney ​Scott ​said in a video message to his agents before retiring on Aug. 14, which was obtained by the Washington Examiner.

“I firmly believe that it is a national security crisis. Immigration is just a subcomponent of it, and right now, it’s just a cover for massive amounts of smuggling going across the southwest border — to include TSDBs at a level we have never seen before. That’s a real threat​,” Scott said, referring to the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Database. ​​

Bioaerosol Research Performed by China’s Military May Have Started the COVID-19 Pandemic in October 2019

In an article recently published on [Restoring Liberty], a source inside China during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic and familiar with the operations of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) claimed that a test release of the virus was conducted during the 2019 Military World Games, which was held in Wuhan from October 18–27, 2019.

According to that source, the subsequent outbreak in Wuhan was entirely unexpected. That is, there was no accidental laboratory leak, but the unintended COVID-19 spread among the Chinese population of Wuhan for which the PLA had vastly underestimated its transmissibility.

If there was an environmental test of COVID-19 by the PLA, whether at the 2019 Military World Games or elsewhere, expertise in the areas of environmental microorganism surveillance and the analysis of the spread of viral disease in human populations would be essential.

In recent years, the PLA has made extraordinary efforts to fulfill those requirements, starting with the fusion of military and civilian bioaerosol research, which was initiated at a joint symposium between the PLA and Peking University held on January 8-9, 2017.

Everyone should accept the fact that in China there is no difference between military and civilian research. The fusion of those research and development sectors was mandated by the 2016 Chinese Communist Party’s Thirteenth Five-Year Plan.

The January 2017 meeting entitled “Peking University Military-civilian Fusion Bioaerosol Symposium” was organized by Mao-sheng Yao of Peking University and Shun-xiang Huang of the PLA’s Institute for Chemical Defense.

The news report of the symposium cited over two dozen different Chinese universities joining the PLA Institute of Chemical Defense, the PLA Veterinary Institute, the PLA Academy of Military Medical Sciences and the PLA 302nd Hospital to establish a strategic plan for bioaerosol military-civilian integration and avenues of cooperation.

If there was a test release of COVID-19 into the environment, one that precipitated the pandemic, Mao-sheng Yao and Shun-xiang Huang were likely involved.

Mao-sheng Yao is an expert in the surveillance and measurement of microorganisms in the environment, who, incidentally, was entirely educated in U.S. universities, receiving a Master’s degree from the University of Alabama, a doctoral degree from Rutgers University and postdoctoral training at Yale University.

In December 2019, Mao-sheng Yao was granted a Chinese patent entitled “Method for rapidly detecting pathogenic microorganisms in air and respiratory tract on site.”

Shun-xiang Huang is an expert on the spread of viral disease in human populations. In December 2020, he and his colleagues at the PLA Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Institute published an article on how an influenza epidemic would spread in the U.S.

Both Mao-sheng Yao and Shun-xiang Huang have received high honors and awards from the PLA, which indicates the importance China places on military bioaerosol research and development.

China’s military-civilian bioaerosol research consortium, including Chinese commercial companies, are closely connected to the PLA’s Military Veterinary Institute in Changchun and its affiliated research centers, which we have previously identified as key elements of China’s core secret military biowarfare program and their potential roles in the creation of COVID-19.

The contribution of the PLA’s Military Veterinary Institute to China’s biowarfare program and the U.S. universities affiliated with it and funded by the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Department of Defense have been described in previous Gateway Pundit articles, here and here

Yu-Wei Gao of the PLA’s Military Veterinary Institute has no less than nine patents in the last eight years dealing with various aspects of microorganism aerosols.

Together with other colleagues at the PLA’s Military Veterinary Institute, such as Director of the Institute General Xianzhu Xia, Yu-Wei Gao performed animal experiments testing the environmental airborne transmission of influenza viruses capable of infecting humans, as well as genetically-engineering the same viruses to enhance their infectivity.

Clearly, the PLA had the capability of conducting an environmental test of COVID-19. The task ahead will be to gather evidence specific to COVID-19 to corroborate the information provided by the source inside China claiming that such a test did in fact occur.

That investigation and an analysis of Chinese military documents are currently underway.

Man Films Himself as He Faces Certain Death While Clinging to US Plane as It Leaves Afghanistan (VIDEO)

Dramatic video shows a man recording himself and other Afghans clinging to a US Air Force plane taxiing for takeoff at Kabul’s airport in a desperate attempt to flee from the Taliban-controlled country.

The footage, which was taken Monday, shows the smiling man waving to a crowd of people lining the tarmac a day after the insurgents toppled the government — sparking a mad scramble to find outgoing flights.

At least two people were seen plunging to their deaths after the giant C-17 Globemaster jet gained altitude over the fallen capital.

US officials said seven people were killed, including two shot by US troops, after the crowds stormed the international airport and swarmed the tarmac.

Whistleblower: I’ve Seen More People Die From COVID-19 Vaccine Than Virus

A board certified occupational therapist in Hawaii said he has seen more people die from COVID vaccinations than from COVID itself.

“I’ve seen 32 elderly people pass away immediately after taking the Moderna vaccine. None of that is being talked about on the news. It doesn’t fit their narrative,” Abrien Aguirre told Hawaii Free Speech News, a citizen-journalist video channel.

“I’ve seen more patients die from the vaccine than from COVID,” he said.

Aguirre said he works for Oahu’s largest skilled nursing facility and has worked in three separate COVID units with geriatric patients.

Liberal Doctor: It’s Time to Start Denying Anti-Vaxxers Access to Major Medical Treatments

Speaking to MSNBC on Monday, Dr. Vin Gupta argued why anti-vaccine activists should be denied major medical treatments.

As he explained it, if someone is waiting on the liver transplant list and has a drink of wine in six months, they don’t get a liver — and he wants to apply that same sentiment to other major treatments.

“You should be fully vaccinated if you get ECMO, dialysis, we can go into greater detail, but we need to have that paradigm,” he told Joy Reid. “Elective procedures across the country, here in the pacific northwest are being delayed again, and people are tired of that. Also what we’re noticing is the rise of other health threats are real and emerging in a big way. Respiratory virus, a big virus that can affect kids, usually December to February is causing children’s hospitals to fill up with RSV patients. This is a critical time for us to rethink, how do we think about care rationing.”

It’s a similar sentiment some have argued in the past several months in opinion columns and letters to the editor. The thought is that if anti-vaxxers refuse to get the vaccine and they end up dying with astronomical medical bills, that money doesn’t disappear, it’s passed onto other insured people with high premiums and higher hospital costs. Tucker Carlson Call to Action: American Citizens Must Speak Up or Become Complicit in ‘Soviet Society’ of Censors, Conformists

Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson, author of The Long Slide: Thirty Years in American Journalism, warned that America is becoming a “soviet society” prioritizing conformity and obedience to government over freedom of behavior and thought.

“I do think, marginally, people can be more brave and more honest just in their personal lives,” Carlson remarked on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow. “There’s no reason to sit at a dinner party and be browbeaten by somebody and not pipe up. You don’t have to argue, but you can quietly speak your conscience in public.”

He continued, “The society has become so incredibly conformist. I see it in my kids and their friends. My kids don’t agree with a lot of this crap, but the spirit of the age is, ‘Well, I don’t really want to step outside the herd.’ We don’t celebrate mavericks at all. … It’s such a soviet society, now. What we celebrate is team joiners. ‘Oh, look, this guy got the vaccine. He’s a hero. He took his medicine.’ It’s insane.”

A culture of conformity praises compliance while condemning dissidence, Carlson stated. He said dissidents rejecting corporate and government immorality in the vein of Rosa Parks are persecuted in the modern era. . .

He stated, “The saddest realization that I’ve made in the last couple years is that propaganda works. Look at the polling. By New York Post. Republican leaders are slamming President Biden for taking a long weekend out of the public eye as major cities fall to the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Biden on Thursday sent 3,000 US troops to Kabul to evacuate embassy workers as the Taliban seized Herat and Kandahar, Afghanistan’s second- and third-largest cities — but he hasn’t commented publicly on the crisis since Tuesday.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said Friday that Biden “must immediately focus all efforts on making sure there is a plan to safely extract all American service members and civilians still remaining in Afghanistan.”

“He also owes the American public an answer on what he plans to do to make sure the region doesn’t turn into a breeding ground for more violent extremism that will lead to large-scale global attacks of terrorism,” McCarthy said.

Afghans in Taliban Crosshairs Want US to Stay and Protect Them

He added: “But if America stays here, life would be good.”

Americans and Afghans Brace for Siege of Kabul

As Taliban militants wrest control of Afghanistan by seizing one major city after another, Afghan leaders are scrambling to develop a strategy to defend the capital from the militants, while U.S. officials are taking steps to evacuate the sprawling U.S. Embassy in the center of the city, should Kabul fall.

Just as the U.S. deadline to withdraw from the country approaches on Aug. 31, Afghan forces have collapsed on nearly all fronts in the face of an eight-day blitz mounted by Taliban attacking cities in the north, east and south. The insurgents have captured more than a dozen provincial capitals, resulting in more than two-thirds of the country falling into their hands.

In a rare call on Thursday, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani sought guarantees from U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin that American warplanes would provide air strikes against the insurgents to protect Kabul, current and former Afghan officials tell TIME. The same day, the Pentagon announced plans to send about 3,000 U.S. troops back into the city to help evacuate the American embassy and Afghan civilians who helped with the U.S.-led war effort.

The Biden Administration has thus far only committed to a limited air campaign supporting Afghan forces battling the insurgency. But U.S. officials say there will be U.S. air cover in support of the thousands of newly announced American troops heading to Kabul to complete U.S. military withdrawal. Trump-Appointed Amy Coney Barrett Refuses to Block COVID Vaccine Mandate

Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett on Thursday refused to block a plan by Indiana University to require students and employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Barrett’s action came in response to an emergency request from eight students, and it marked the first time the high court has weighed in on a vaccine mandate. Some corporations, states and cities have adopted vaccine requirements for workers or even to dine indoors, and others are considering doing so.

The students said in court papers that they have “a constitutional right to bodily integrity, autonomy, and of medical treatment choice in the context of a vaccination mandate.” They wanted the high court to issue an order barring the university from enforcing the mandate.
