Dr. Fauci is Already Calling for a Third COVID Shot

The nation’s top infectious disease expert said on Thursday it is “likely” that all Americans who have received the COVID-19 vaccine will need a booster shot at some point in the future, preferably from the same manufacturer as their initial doses.

The comments from Dr. Anthony Fauci on CBS This Morning come as the Food and Drug Administration is expected to broaden its emergency use authorization for the two-dose regimens made by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna to allow people with compromised immune systems to get a third shot. . .

He added that federal public health agencies are tracking data “on a weekly and monthly basis” among a number of different age groups “to determine if in fact the level of protection is starting to attenuate.”

Deadly Lambda Variant Could Be Vax-Resistant, New Study Warns

As the US struggles to suppress the rapidly advancing coronavirus Delta variant, new evidence has emerged that the latest Lambda mutation — ravaging parts of South America — won’t be slowed by vaccines.

In a July 28 report appearing on bioRxiv, where the study awaits peer review prior to getting published, researchers in Japan are sounding the alarm on the C.37 variant, dubbed Lambda. And it’s proven just as virulent as Delta thanks to a similar mutation making them even more contagious.

The strain has been contained in 26 countries, including substantial outbreaks in Chile, Peru, Argentina and Ecuador.

“Notably, the vaccination rate in Chile is relatively high; the percentage of the people who received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine was [about] 60%,” the authors write.

HHS Mandates COVID Vaccine for Employees

The Department of Health and Human Services plans to mandate coronavirus vaccines for more than 25,000 of its frontline health workers, the third federal agency – after the Departments Of Defense and Veterans Affairs – to do so amid a resurgence of the virus and a stubborn reluctance among some Americans to get the shots.

Secretary Xavier Becerra announced Thursday that workers at the National Institutes of Health and Indian Health Service who treat or come in contact with patients will be required to take the vaccines.

Surgeon General Vivek Murthy will also require coronavirus shots for members of the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, which aims to promote public health and provide health care to underserved communities.

Unlike President Joe Biden’s announcement last month ordering federal workers to attest to their vaccination status or submit to regular coronavirus testing, workers covered by the HHS order will be required to get vaccinated. (Read more from “HHS Mandates COVID Vaccine for Employees” HERE)

WHO Scientist Says Chinese Pressured Investigation Team to Drop Lab-Leak Theory

“Follow the science,” right? Probably not the best advice when the science is tainted because of pressure from a Communist government to manipulate the conclusion.

The WHO sent a team of “blue-ribbon experts” to China in order to investigate the origins of COVID-19. The investigation is vital to discovering how the coronavirus responsible for the disease made the leap from infecting animals to infecting humans. Knowing which animal was responsible could lead to better treatments for COVID, more effective vaccines, and perhaps clues to how we can stop the next pandemic from starting. . .

Now a new Danish documentary on the man who headed up the team, Peter Ben Embarek, and the WHO team’s efforts has revealed the not-very-startling information that the Chinese government directly interfered in the writing of the final report.

A discussion of whether to include the lab-leak theory at all lasted until 48 hours before the conclusion of the mission, Ben Embarek told the Danish reporters. In the end, Ben Embarek’s Chinese counterpart eventually agreed to discuss the lab-leak theory in the report “on the condition we didn’t recommend any specific studies to further that hypothesis.”

Asked in the documentary whether the report’s “extremely unlikely” wording about the lab-leak theory was a Chinese requirement, Ben Embarek said “it was the category we chose to put it in at the end, yes.” But he added that this meant it was not impossible, just not likely.

Trump Says Situation With Taliban Would Be ‘More Successful’ if He Were Still President

Former President Donald Trump said he “personally had discussions with top Taliban leaders whereby they understood what they are doing now would not have been acceptable,” in a statement issued through the Save America PAC.

Since the United States pulled out of Afghanistan, the Taliban has taken over much of the country’s rural and lands, and over the past six days, the insurgent group has conquered nine provincial capitals, primarily in the north. The group now controls an estimated 65 percent of the country’s territory and 10 of its 34 provincial capitals.

President Joe Biden announced in mid-April that he intended to have U.S. troops out of the country by September 11. At the time of that decision, a number of polls showed Americans, disillusioned by so-called “forever wars,” were in favor of the move. However, since the subsequent Taliban takeovers, a number of Republicans have criticized Biden’s approach, including the former president.

“It would have been a much different and much more successful withdrawal, and the Taliban understood that better than anyone,” Trump said in his statement. “What is going on now is not acceptable. Border Patrol: Recruits Kicked From Academy After Refusing COVID Vaccinations

The National Border Patrol Council (NBPC), the labor union representing rank and file agents, says a new policy by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) resulted in recruits being removed from training for refusing vaccinations. The recruits were attending training at the United States Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico.

According to the NBPC, the policy will also require future recruits to provide proof they are fully vaccinated prior to training. According to the NBPC, those who are partially vaccinated or none at all removed until full compliance is met.

In a statement from Local 2509 President Jeffery Hammes, many of the recruits refused the vaccine despite being briefed on the consequences. One Popular COVID Vaccine Found More Effective Against Delta Variant

Early findings posted ahead of rigorous peer review suggested the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine declined to 42% effectiveness against infection amid sweeping spread of the delta variant, with the Moderna vaccine declining to 76%.

Researchers at the Mayo Clinic and Cambridge-based biotech company nference posted the retrospective study in medrxiv this week, drawing from tens of thousands PCR tests conducted at the Mayo Clinic and affiliated hospitals across nearly half a dozen states.

The study period analyzed samples from January to July, when either the alpha or delta variant was a highly prevalent strain; “the Delta variant prevalence in Minnesota increased from 0.7% in May to over 70% in July whereas the Alpha variant prevalence decreased from 85% to 13% over the same time period,” the preprint reads.

While results indicated the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were highly effective against COVID-19 infection (76%, 86%, respectively) and hospitalization (85%, 91.6%) the effectiveness against infection dropped by July to 42% and 76%, respectively.

Further findings indicated that people vaccinated with Moderna’s shot were half as likely to develop a breakthrough infection, compared to recipients of the Pfizer vaccine. What’s more, researchers found that Florida residents fully vaccinated with Moderna’s shot faced a 60% lower risk of infection when compared to Pfizer recipients. Also, across all states, the Moderna vaccine cut COVID-related hospitalizations by about half the rate compared to the Pfizer vaccine. State Determines Sex-Change Surgery for Children Abuse

The state of Texas this week declared that performing transgender sex reassignment surgeries on minors constitutes child abuse.

Republican Gov. Greg Abbott made the announcement on Thursday after receiving a conclusive response on the matter from Texas Department of Family and Protective Services Commissioner Jaime Masters.

Abbott had reportedly directed the DFPS last week to issue a determination on whether “genital mutilation of a child for purposes of gender transitioning through reassignment surgery constitutes child abuse.” In a response letter, Masters determined that it is.

“Genital mutilation of a child through reassignment surgery is child abuse,” Masters wrote in her letter to the governor. “This surgical procedure physically alters a child’s genitalia for non-medical purposes potentially inflicting irreversible harm to children’s bodies.” (Read more from “State Determines Sex-Change Surgery for Children Abuse” HERE)

Black Atlanta Mother Files Suit Against Principal for Separating Students by Race

A black Atlanta mother has filed a federal lawsuit against a black principal and public school after her daughter and other students were separated by race and then taught in separate classrooms.

Kila Posey filed her complaint against Mary Lin Elementary School in which she said Principal Sharyn Briscoe informed her that she instituted the segregated classroom concept because she felt that would be best for students.

Posey, who is vice president of operations for the local Parent Teachers Association (PTA) said she first learned about the segregated classrooms when she called Briscoe to request that her daughter be placed in a certain classroom with a specific teacher. Briscoe responded by informing Posey that wouldn’t work out because that teacher’s classroom was not one that had been established for black students.

“[The principal] said that’s not one of the black classes, and I immediately said, ‘What does that mean?’ I was confused,” Posey recalled.

“I asked for more clarification. I was like, ‘We have those in the school?’ And she proceeded to say, ‘Yes. I have decided that I’m going to place all of the black students in two classes,’” Posey continued. Democrats: Passage of Infrastructure Bill is Step Toward Massive Amnesty

By Breitbart. Senate and House Democrats are relishing in the passage, with the help of 19 Senate Republicans, of a so-called bipartisan infrastructure bill which they see as a building block toward a massive amnesty plan for millions of illegal aliens.

On Tuesday, in a 69-30 vote, 19 Senate Republicans joined all 50 Senate Democrats to pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which does not include a provision to ensure American infrastructure jobs go to American citizens rather than illegal aliens.
