Report: Donald Trump Considering Relaunching MAGA Rallies

Former President Donald Trump is reportedly discussing the resumption of his Make America Great Again rallies as he allegedly mulls over a 2024 presidential bid.

On Wednesday, CNN reported that the former president may also hold events to support candidates challenging Republicans who have criticized him, including Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and more[:]

Recently, Trump has initiated discussions about resuming the signature MAGA rallies that fortified his nascent political movement in 2016 and continued throughout his presidency. While he has vowed to travel to Alaska to campaign against Murkowski and is said to be interested in hosting campaign events for some of the candidates he’s already endorsed, aides said the logistics are still being worked out but that he could resume rallies as early as May.

“It will definitely be different in terms of the setup, but we got really good at planning these events in 2020, so we will probably use a lot of those same vendors again,” said the person close to Trump’s post-White House operation.

Biden Unveils Extreme $1.8T ‘Families’ Plan; This Is How Biden Intends to Tax the Middle Class

By New York Post. President Biden on Wednesday rolled out the blueprint for another massive tax-and-spend bill, dubbed the American Families Plan, which would boost federal spending by $1.8 trillion through tax hikes on high-income Americans and investors.

The package includes $511 billion for education, including universal preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds and free community college, and $225 billion for child care, including a subsidy that would cap expenses for most workers at 7 percent of income. The plan calls for $225 billion to subsidize 12 weeks of paid parental and sick leave and $45 billion more for food stamps and school food programs.

About $800 billion would go toward tax credits, including $200 billion for ObamaCare users. The plan would make permanent the recent expansion of tax credits for people with children — from $2,000 per year to $3,000, or $3,600 for children under age 6.

But in a major blow to New York-area Democrats including Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the proposal omits repeal of the 2017 SALT deduction cap of $10,000 per person, which hammered residents of higher-tax states by preventing them from deducting state tax payments on their federal tax returns. Given the ruinously expensive agenda that the Left wants to enact, the only logical way to pay for it is for EVERYONE’s taxes to go up. Does anyone really think the super-wealthy can fund a single-payer system for everyone? And that’s just one item in their left-wing goodie bag from hell. Well, Kelly Johnston wrote an op-ed for InsideSources to explain one tax hike that will wreck the middle class and noted how retirement accounts and pensions could be next:

You will be told that the tax plan only taxes the wealthy. Untrue. Corporations do not ultimately pay taxes – they collect them. Their “promise” won’t include intergenerational transfers of property and assets, like houses, family businesses, family farms, and stock.

Meet stepped-up basis. Here’s how that works. Say you’re a 60-year-old almost-retiree whose 90-year-old parent just passed away. You are bequeathed their Florida home acquired in 1980 for $100,000. Its value is now $500,000. Hopefully, it won’t be complicated by a reverse mortgage or isn’t burdened by other forms of leveraged debt. You sell it for $500,000. Thanks to “stepped-up basis,” you should owe no federal capital gains tax on the sale.

But what happens if all this happens after Democrats eliminate this so-called “loophole?” You’ll owe capital gains taxes on the gain in value since the property was purchased 41 years ago, most of which is probably inflation. That’s a likely 20 percent tax hit on the “gain” of $400,000 – some $80,000 to Uncle Sam. For people with incomes over $1 million, Biden may raise Capital Gains taxes to match the highest personal income tax rate of 39.5 percent.

Major Development in Disturbing Shooting Death of Capitol Protester Ashli Babbitt

The attorney for the family of Ashli Babbit, the unarmed protester shot and killed during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, is now announcing that they will file civil charges over the violation of her constitutional rights.

Attorney Terry Roberts appeared on NewsMax Monday morning to talk about the Department of Justice dropping all charges against the unnamed police officer who shot Babbitt that day during the siege on the Capitol. He pointed out that the officer was to Babbitt’s left as she came into the building through the breached entrance. She did not see him and he allegedly gave her no verbal warning before shooting and killing the 35-year-old Air Force veteran. No one evidently heard a warning whatsoever. The officer’s attorney, Mark Schamel, claimed he issued several warnings according to RealClearInvestigations.

Roberts also pointed out that Babbitt could have been arrested after entering the building and that it was evident she was not armed. He contended that the shooting was totally unnecessary and there was no legal justification for shooting her.

Roberts said that the family takes severe issue with the DOJ’s ruling on the case, arguing that the officer-involved shooting was a gross overreaction and should have been prosecuted. Man Dies After Being Pinned to the Ground for 5 Minutes During Arrest, Bodycam Footage Shows

The city of Alameda, California, released bodycam footage this week of an incident involving police during which a 26-year-old man, Mario Gonzalez, died after officers pinned him to the ground for about five minutes during an arrest.

The incident, which occurred April 19, one day before former Minneapolis police Officer Derek Chauvin was convicted on murder and manslaughter charges for his role in George Floyd’s death, is already drawing comparisons in the media to the Floyd killing. During an arrest last May, Chauvin knelt on Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes despite Floyd’s repeated complaints that he couldn’t breathe.

In the nearly hourlong footage released Tuesday, police appear to wrestle with Gonzalez, restraining him by pinning him facedown on the ground and applying pressure to his legs and back. After several minutes of struggling on the ground, Gonzalez becomes unresponsive and police immediately begin attempting chest compressions.

In both initial and updated reports about the incident, police in Alameda, which is just south of Oakland, wrote that Gonzalez had a “medical emergency” during an altercation with police. The department noted that officers responded to the scene after two separate reports came in about a male under the influence in a public area who may have committed a theft. Police Officers Allegedly Refused Service at Seattle Cafe

Two members of the Seattle Police Department were denied service at a local cafe.

A Seattle police officer and a trainee walked into Chocolati on N. 45th Street in the Wallingford neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 PM looking for a snack. According to their website, “Chocolati was established in the year 2003 with the philosophy of making delightful chocolate confections that were both aesthetically creative and of the highest quality.”

According to sources in SPD with knowledge of the events, the employee behind the register finished serving the customer in front of the officer. The officer then walked up to the register to order. The employee, a white female with green streaks in her hair, ignored the officer.

CDC Punishes ‘Superstar’ Scientist for COVID Vaccine Recommendation the CDC Followed 4 Days Later

The Centers for Disease Control pulled a world-renowned expert off a vaccine safety advisory committee after he publicly disagreed with the agency’s pause of the Johnson and Johnson COVID vaccine.

In an email, the CDC’s Dr. Amanda Cohn said Dr. Martin Kulldorff of Harvard Medical School was being removed for communicating to the public his expert opinion, which differed from what the CDC was saying publicly at the time. Four days later, however, the CDC reinstated the use of the vaccine, effectively adopting Kulldorff’s recommendation after punishing him for publicly communicating it. . .

On April 13, the CDC paused the use of the Johnson and Johnson COVID vaccine nationwide after six cases of blood clotting in women following their vaccination, among which were three deaths. The agency later determined the risk of this outcome was seven cases per 1 million people among women ages 18 to 49, the highest-risk group.

The CDC’s decision to pause the vaccine based on the majority opinion of the committee it pushed him off “did not reflect my views,” Kulldorff told The Federalist. That’s because the risks of COVID are far higher than the essentially zero risk of blood clots from the vaccine for the elderly. Feds Execute Search Warrant at Rudy Giuliani’s Manhattan Apartment

Federal investigators executed a search warrant at Rudy Giuliani’s apartment in Manhattan as part of an investigation involving dealings with Ukraine, according to a Wednesday report.

The New York Times, citing “three people with knowledge of the matter,” reported that the feds executed a search warrant at the lawyer’s Upper East Side apartment as part of the investigation into his dealings with Ukraine — specifically, the accusations that he “illegally lobbied Trump administration in 2019 on behalf of Ukrainian officials and oligarchs.”

“One of the people said the investigators had seized Mr. Giuliani’s electronic devices,” the Times reported, noting the significance of executing the search warrant given Giuliani’s status as a lawyer for the former president, particularly:

While the warrant is not an explicit accusation of wrongdoing against Mr. Giuliani, it shows that the investigation has entered an aggressive new phase. To obtain a search warrant, investigators need to persuade a judge they have sufficient reason to believe that a crime was committed and that the search would turn up evidence of the crime.

Democratic Texas state Rep. James Talarico’s office defended Tuesday the lawmaker’s assertion that there are six biological sexes rather than two.

Talarico spoke before the state’s Public Education Committee last week on legislation that would ban biological males from from girls’ K-12 scholastic sports, the Washington Times reported.

“Modern science obviously recognizes that there are many more than two biological sexes,” Talarico said.

“In fact there are six,” he continued, “which honestly surprised me too, cause I am not well versed in this issue area. A Maryland man was booted off a Southwest Airlines flight for not wearing a mask while eating Twizzlers.

“I, Avi Mandel, just got kicked off a plane because I wasn’t wearing my mask in between bites while I was eating,” the frequent flier from Baltimore County said in a video he took on the plane, WJZ reported. . .

Mandel was waiting for the plane to take off from Thurgood Marshall Baltimore Washington International Airport for Fort Lauderdale on Sunday when he opened a pack of his frequent snack, WJZ reported. . .

“And I’m like, ‘Oh, I guess she didn’t know I was eating.’ Then I hear on the loudspeaker, ‘Everyone who’s eating has to wear masks in between bites,’” Mandel continued.

Yesterday President Joe Biden officially informed Americans about common sense guidelines already being practiced: they don’t have to wear masks outdoors.

But during his full remarks on the status of the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic, Biden bizarrely celebrated more “seniors of color” being vaccinated than whites.

“Two-thirds of our seniors are fully vaccinated. More than 80 percent of our seniors have had a least one shot. That effort resulted in a drop of 80 percent in deaths in seniors. A 70 percent drop in hopsitlizations,” Biden said. “By the way, based on reported data a proportion of seniors who have been vaccinated is essentially equal between white and seniors of color. I said from the beginning we were going to fight this virus with equity, equity for all. In fact, if I’m not mistaken there are more Latinos and African-American seniors that have been vaccinated as a percentage than white seniors.
