Left-Wing Legal Coalition Sues Trump Over ‘America’s Most Fundamental Promise’

Hours after the Supreme Court delivered the Trump administration a major victory Friday by ruling lower courts may issue nationwide injunctions only in limited instances, a coalition of liberal legal groups filed a sweeping new class-action lawsuit in New Hampshire federal court. It takes aim at President Donald Trump’s January executive order that redefines who qualifies for U.S. citizenship at birth.

While the justices’ 6-3 ruling leaves open the question of how the ruling will apply to the birthright citizenship order at the heart of the case, Friday’s lawsuit accuses the administration of violating the Constitution by denying citizenship to children born on U.S. soil if their mothers are either unlawfully present or temporarily in the country and their fathers are not U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.

The case was brought by the American Civil Liberties Union, ACLU of New Hampshire, ACLU of Maine, ACLU of Massachusetts, Legal Defense Fund, Asian Law Caucus and Democracy Defenders Fund. It seeks to represent a proposed class of children born under the terms of the executive order and their parents.

It is not the first legal challenge to the policy. The same group filed a separate suit in January 2025 in the same court on behalf of advocacy organizations with members expecting children who would be denied citizenship under the order. That case led to a ruling protecting members of those groups and is now pending before the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals, with oral arguments scheduled for Aug. 1.

Friday’s SCOTUS ruling states that lower courts can no longer block federal policies nationwide unless it’s absolutely necessary to give full relief to the people suing. The decision does not say whether Trump’s birthright citizenship order is legal, but it means the order could take effect in parts of the country while legal challenges continue. The court gave lower courts 30 days to review their existing rulings. (Read more from “Left-Wing Legal Coalition Sues Trump Over ‘America’s Most Fundamental Promise’” HERE)

Supreme Court Nukes Nationwide Injunctions Against Trump’s Birthright Citizenship Order

On Friday, the U.S. Supreme Court declared rogue lower courts’ universal injunctions against President Donald Trump’s birthright citizenship order to be unlawful.

“[F]ederal courts do not exercise general oversight of the Executive Branch; they resolve cases and controversies consistent with the authority Congress has given them. When a court concludes that the Executive Branch has acted unlawfully, the answer is not for the court to exceed its power, too,” Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett wrote.

The final decision was 6-3, with Chief Justice John Roberts and Associate Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, and Brett Kavanaugh joining Barrett in the majority. Associate Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented.

Known as Trump v. CASA, Inc., the matter before the high court centers around the issuance of nationwide injunctions on President Trump’s executive order seeking to end so-called “birthright citizenship.” That is a concept in which any individual born on American soil is automatically granted U.S. citizenship under the 14th Amendment, irrespective of whether that individual’s parents are legally permitted to be in the U.S.

Following a series of injunctions blocking the order’s implementation among lower courts, the Trump administration appealed to SCOTUS, asking the high court to “‘restrict the scope’ of multiple preliminary injunctions that ‘purpor[t] to cover every person * * * in the country,’” and limit “those injunctions to parties actually within the courts’ power.” The case and Friday’s decision do not, however, determine the merits of Trump’s birthright citizenship order. Tucker Just Dropped a Bombshell About His Final Days at Fox News

When Fox News abruptly fired Tucker Carlson in April 2023, the timing wasn’t just suspicious; it was glaring. Red flags were waving everywhere. It all started around the time he was airing never-before-seen footage from January 6th, exposing cracks in the official narrative.

At the time, many suspected Tucker’s termination wasn’t just about ratings or contracts; it was about control. Now, thanks to Tucker himself, we know those suspicions were dead on. Maybe more so than you ever realized.

According to Tucker, right after he was fired, Rupert Murdoch approached him and asked him to run against President Trump.
    Sounds crazy, right?

If true, that’s not “business as usual.” That’s backstabbing sabotage, plain and simple. And it would show just how deep Fox News’s disdain for Trump runs and how desperate they were to stop him.

Iranian Supreme Leader Emerges From Hiding To Declare Victory Over Israel

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, announced the Islamic Republic won the twelve-day war between Iran and Israel in his first public comments since the cease-fire Thursday.

Khamenei released the pre-recorded statement after President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire Monday, signaling that Iran considers the war concluded by declaring victory.

He remained in hiding during the war, according to the Associated Press. He was sheltered in a “secret location,” the outlet reported.

“I extend my congratulations to the great Iranian nation for its victory over the Zionist entity,” Khamenei said, as translated by the Hindustan Times. “Despite all the claims and hype, the Zionist entity was almost crushed and collapsed in the face of the Islamic Republic strikes.”

Khamenei continued by thanking God, whom he claimed aided Iran’s forces “as they penetrated the advanced multi-layered Zionist defenses and raised many of their civilian and military sites to the ground.” (Read more from “Iranian Supreme Leader Emerges From Hiding To Declare Victory Over Israel” HERE)

Hamas Is Preparing Attacks on American Contractors Helping Distribute Aid in Gaza

Hamas is surveilling and preparing to attack American contractors working for the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, according to a source familiar with the group’s operations.

A senior Trump administration official confirmed that threats from Hamas against the contractors are a growing concern.

“While the GHF has so far provided upwards of 40 million meals, Hamas is threatening violence — this time to humanitarian workers, which includes Americans, at the GHF sites themselves,” the official told The Daily Wire.

Concerns about a potential Hamas attack come after Hamas assassinated around a dozen Palestinian GHF workers earlier this month while they were taking a bus to aid distribution sites ahead of their first day of work. Seriously injured survivors were reportedly denied treatment at Nasser Hospital, according to GHF.

The senior official warned that Hamas should “be careful not to miscalculate.” (Read more from “Hamas Is Preparing Attacks on American Contractors Helping Distribute Aid in Gaza” HERE)

If Trump Doesn’t Reject Judicial Supremacism, His Presidency Is Finished

Since returning to office, President Trump has faced what can only be described as a judicial coup. Through the use of overreaching nationwide injunctions, predominantly Democrat-appointed judges have gleefully granted requests from left-wing activists to block enforcement of the agenda 77 million Americans voted for last year.

Yet, despite this egregious affront to America’s constitutional framework, Trump and his administration are neglecting to stop it.

The latest example of the administration’s refusal to uphold separation of powers is its ongoing battle with a Massachusetts-based federal judge over the president’s deportation of illegal aliens to so-called “third countries.” After District Judge Brian Murphy placed a sweeping injunction blocking the policy’s enforcement, the administration appealed to the Supreme Court, which temporarily stayed the Biden appointee’s order on Monday.

In a stunning act of rebellion against the justices, Murphy — seemingly believing his power usurps that of SCOTUS — issued a separate edict hours after the high court’s ruling in which he declared his initial order “remains in full force and effect.” The judge further claimed, “The District Court’s remedial orders [were] not properly before the [Supreme] Court because the Government has not appealed them, or sought a stay pending a forthcoming appeal.”

So, what did Trump and his administration do?

While U.S. Solicitor General John Sauer correctly characterized Murphy’s power grab as a “lawless act of defiance,” the administration continued to grant the rogue judge’s order legitimacy it doesn’t have. Instead of implementing the president’s policy and telling Murphy to pound sand, team Trump went running back to SCOTUS to ask the justices to “clarify” their Monday stay on the judge’s initial injunction. CNN’s Kate Bolduan Insists Network Did Nothing Wrong in Reporting Trump’s Iran Strike. the Records Say That Is a Lie

CNN’s Kate Bolduan insisted Thursday that the network’s coverage did not omit key details on the U.S. bombings of Iranian nuclear sites despite the fact that CNN only added certain details after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth chastised them Wednesday.

The network, led by former Politico reporter Natasha Betrand, published an article Tuesday about the leaked Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) report, highlighting the fact that the report said the U.S. bombing campaign only set Iran’s nuclear program back a few months.

However, the CNN article did not initially include the fact that the DIA made the assessment with “low confidence” based on satellite imagery of the underground nuclear facilities.

CNN updated its article to include the low confidence element after Hegseth blasted them for it.

“The instinct of CNN, the instinct of The New York Times is to try and find a way to spin it for their own political reasons to try to hurt President Trump or our country,” Hegseth said during a Wednesday press conference at the NATO summit in the Netherlands. Supreme Court Allows State to Defund Planned Parenthood

The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that South Carolina is allowed to block Medicaid funding from going to Planned Parenthood clinics in the state.

The case was brought by Planned Parenthood South Atlantic and a Medicaid patient after South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster (R) signed an executive order in 2018 seeking to exclude the abortion giant from its Medicaid program. The abortion organization argued the order violated federal law and contended that Medicaid patients had a right to sue the state under Section 1983, part of the Civil Right Act of 1871, to choose their own qualified healthcare provider.

The Supreme Court issued a 6-3 decision disagreeing with Planned Parenthood’s arguments and siding with South Carolina, essentially allowing the state to defund Planned Parenthood after being blocked from doing so for years by lower courts.

“Section 1983 permits private plaintiffs to sue for violations of federal spending-power statutes only in ‘atypical’ situations … where the provision in question ‘clear[ly]’ and ‘unambiguous[ly]’ confers an individual ‘right,’” Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote in the majority opinion, adding that the law in question “is not such a statute.”

“After all, the decision whether to let private plaintiffs enforce a new statutory right poses delicate questions of public policy,” Gorsuch continued. “New rights for some mean new duties for others. And private enforcement actions, meritorious or not, can force governments to direct money away from public services and spend it instead on litigation. The job of resolving how best to weigh those competing costs and benefits belongs to the people’s elected representatives, not unelected judges charged with applying the law as they find it.” (Read more from “Supreme Court Allows State to Defund Planned Parenthood” HERE)
