Judge Rules That Names of Planned Parenthood Workers Will Remain Sealed

By Townhall. Last Monday, a California judge ruled that the names of 14 Planned Parenthood workers and others will remain sealed during the prosecution of two pro-life activists charged with secretly recording them.

According to an AP report, the ruling was made by San Francisco Superior Court Judge Christopher Hite even though the names had already been published by LifeSite News over the weekend.

Hite threatened to punish anyone caught providing the names. Charges were first filed against David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt of the Center for Medical Progress in 2017. . .

The disturbing videos were first released by the Center for Medical Progress in 2015. They allegedly depict Planned Parenthood executives and workers discussing the illegal harvesting and selling-for-profit of body parts of aborted babies. Subjects in the videos can be seen discussing prices, picking through fetal arms and legs in a tray, and figuring out which abortion methods might work best for obtaining fetal body parts to sell. California Judge Will Keep Planned Parenthood Names Sealed

By AP. A California judge ruled Monday that the names of 14 Planned Parenthood workers and others will remain sealed during the prosecution of two anti-abortion activists charged with secretly recording them. . .

One the Planned Parenthood workers filed an affidavit saying Daleiden has her phone number and texted her in 2016 saying, ”‘I know a lot has happened in the past year, and maybe I’m the last person you want to hear from. But if there’s anything I can do to help you, please let me know.’”

Merritt’s lawyer Horacio Mihet and Daleiden’s attorney Brentford Ferreira argued against sealing the names. Each told the judge they didn’t give the names to the website and don’t know who did. (Read more from “California Judge Will Keep Planned Parenthood Names Sealed” HERE)

Democrats Don’t Want ICE Notified When Illegal Aliens Try to Purchase Guns

By Townhall. As the debate over illegal immigration continues to rage, Democrats continue to prove they are proponents of open borders and lawlessness.

The latest example comes from Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz, who is berating Democrats for protecting illegal aliens who attempt to purchase firearms and fail a background check.

Last year a record number of illegal aliens, millions of them, tried to purchase firearms in the United States. Not only is it illegal to enter the United States without permission, it’s also illegal to purchase or possess a gun.

ICE Detainees Stage Partial Hunger Strike Over ‘Sarcastic Remarks,’ ‘Weird’ TV Sounds

By Boston Herald. ICE detainees in Boston say they’re on a hunger strike, citing a range of grievances including “sarcastic remarks” from guards, bland food, insufficient bathroom breaks and “weird”-sounding TVs — though some are eating food bought from the canteen.

The detainees — held at Suffolk County House of Correction while awaiting deportation and immigration hearings — wrote in a Feb. 10 letter to the sheriff’s office and ICE: “Food is always bad. There is no energy. Most of the time, the food is bland and there is no condiment such as salt and pepper. The food portion is very unbalanced. One tray might have a very small portion while others might have a very ridiculously big portion. There is no fruit.”

The list also has complaints such as, “When buzzed, the C.O. takes too long to open the door,” and that three TVs “make weird sounds. It’s hard to watch them without getting annoyed.”

Two Men Stole Guns at SHOT Show. Here’s the Hiccup They Didn’t Anticipate.

By Townhall. On Wednesday, Jamikko Foster, 27, and Eduardo Limon, 28, were charged with stealing firearms from the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show. The two Las Vegas men worked as forklift drivers during the world’s largest firearms trade show, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

The men stole so many items that the spreadsheet spanned two pages. The pair stole 65 firearms from four companies: Remington Arms, LKCI, Blaser USA and Legacy Sports International, the Review-Journal reported. . .

The reason the men were caught is because the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the hosts of SHOT Show, require all manufacturers to remove firing pins from weapons displayed during the show, meaning they’re inoperable.

The Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) were made aware of the situation on a Wednesday and alerted local Federal Firearm Licensees (FFLs) to “be attentive for any individuals seeking gunsmithing services or, more specifically, firing pins.”

The next day, the owner of Gun Shop Las Vegas in Henderson alerted the ATF about a customer interaction from the day before. 2 Las Vegas Men Charged With Stealing Guns From SHOT Show

By Las Vegas Review-Journal. . .Both men were released on their own recognizance, though U.S. Magistrate Judge Nancy Koppe restricted them from possessing weapons while out of custody.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Phillip Smith told the judge that their jobs helped facilitate the thefts, though ATF agents “solved the crime in a near record-breaking period of time.” He added that the two men — who were part of Teamsters Local 631 — apparently had plans to sell the weapons. The prosecutor said Foster had a criminal history dating to 2010.

The list of weapons and accessories takes up two pages of a spreadsheet in a criminal complaint: Remington machine guns, rifles and pistols; Denel Land Systems machine guns; Mauser rifles, Glock pistols; Sauer & Sohn rifles; and Advanced Armament silencers.

The Las Vegas office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was notified of the thefts last week and launched an investigation with the Metropolitan Police Department’s Crime Gun Intelligence Center, the complaint stated. Report Reveals What Jussie Smollett Allegedly Did Hours Before Attack

Hours before he was allegedly attacked in Chicago, Jussie Smollett reportedly participated in a reading of a play in New York City that was similar to the alleged attack.

“He had been in New York City for a reading of the play Take Me Out, with sources telling DailyMail.com that Smollett was being considered to appear in a possible revival of the Tony-winning production about a biracial baseball star who comes out as gay,” The Daily Mail reported. “The script for that play finds the lead character being attacked by a new pitcher who joins the team. That character uses the same racial slurs Smollett told police his attackers screamed at him, including ‘f****t’ and ‘n****r.'”

Local Chicago media reported on Monday that sources indicated that they believe that Smollett orchestrated the attack on himself because there was not a “bigger reaction” to an allegedly racist letter that he received a week before the attack.

The latest developments in the Smollett case come after the case turned a corner late last week. CBS Chicago reported on Saturday:

Sources told CBS 2 News that Smollett paid the two men $3,500 to stage the attack in Streeterville. The brothers, seen on surveillance video near the scene of the alleged attack, told investigators Smollett directed them to buy the rope used in the incident, and paid for the purchase at Crafty Beaver Hardware Store in Ravenswood days before the incident.

Nation of Islam Preacher Blames ‘WICKED JEWS’ for Attacks on Women’s March Leaders

Nation of Islam’s anti-Semitic leader, Louis Farrakhan, used his annual “Savior’s Day” speech to defend Women’s March leaders who forged a close relationship with his group, blaming the “wicked Jews” for driving a wedge between the Women’s March and leftist organizers, and for trying to “break up the women’s movement.”

The Nation of Islam hosted its annual national conference, Savior’s Day, at the United Center in Chicago over the weekend, and anti-Semitism was a priority among attendees. Speakers tore into the Jewish people, accusing them of everything from owning the Federal Reserve to instituting sharecropping to inventing pedophilia.

But Farrakhan reserved some of his sharpest anti-Semitic criticism for defending Women’s March leader Tamika Mallory and her colleagues, whom he claims are victims of a conspiracy.

“The most beautiful sight that I could lay eyes on [was] when I saw, the day after Trump was elected, women from all over the world were standing in solidarity, and a black woman is the initiator of it,” Farrakhan said about Mallory in his speech as a photo of Mallory popped up on the United Center’s scoreboard.

Celebrities Who Blamed Trump for Fake Attack on Jussie Smollett

By Breitbart. Left-wing Hollywood wasted no time in politicizing and blaming President Donald Trump and his supporters for an alleged hate crime attack on Empire actor Jussie Smollett — an encounter that police now reportedly believe to have been staged. . .

Smollett had previously claimed that at 2am in downtown Chicago, he was attacked by two men, had a rope wrapped around his neck, and chemicals thrown on him and claimed he was called racial and homophobic slurs. He also said that the attackers yelled “This is MAGA country!” at him.

Left-wing Hollywood, of course, used the alleged attack to cast blame on President Trump and the United States in general.

Empire co-creator Lee Daniels said, “We have to love each other regardless of what sexual orientation we are because it shows we are united on a united front and no racist fuck can come in and do the things that they did to you.”

Jussie Smollett angrily denies complicity in attack

By Boston Herald. Attorneys for “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett issued a statement Saturday denying that he orchestrated his Jan. 29 assault, and saying he is “angered” and “devastated” by recent developments in the case.

Chicago police want to interview Smollett, after learning new evidence from two Nigerian brothers who were released on Friday night. Local media outlets have reported that the brothers admitted to police that Smollett paid them to carry out the attack. Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi issued a statement earlier Saturday saying that the new evidence “shifted the trajectory of the investigation.”

Smollett’s attorneys denied that he was involved, saying “Nothing is further from the truth and anyone claiming otherwise is lying.”

Smollett told police on Jan. 29 that two men had attacked him, poured bleach on him, put a rope around his neck, and used racial and homophobic slurs. Police scoured hundreds of hours of surveillance video in search of clues in the case, eventually tracking down the two brothers on Wednesday night. Ocasio-Cortez Is Living the High Life in Luxury DC Apartments

Democratic Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) made a big deal about not being able to afford rent in both New York City and Washington, D.C. She said that, without her $174,000 salary as a Congresswoman, she wouldn’t be able to afford two apartments. She even had a celebrity chef offer to let the Congresswoman-elect to stay with his family until she got on her feet.

Fast forward a couple months later and Ocasio-Cortez is now living in luxury apartments in Washington, D.C.’s Navy Yard neighborhood, where rent for a studio apartment exceeds $2,000 a month, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

From the Free Beacon:

Her office pushed back against the notion that it was hypocritical for Ocasio-Cortez, who has made housing affordability one of her top policy concerns, to move into a luxury building. A spokesman pointed out that her office also uses a car with an “internal combustion engine that runs on fossil fuels,” even though she thinks their use should be eliminated.

Many sympathized with Ocasio-Cortez’s stated difficulty with finding an apartment in D.C., where rents have been on the rise in recent years. Affording a second residence in the capital has proven to be a challenge for lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, with some choosing to live together with colleagues or to bunk up in their congressional office as cost-saving measures.

As the Russia Hoax Begins to Unravel, the Gaslighting Begins

. . .Most recently, the Senate Judiciary Committee announced that after almost two years of investigation, it has uncovered no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Attorneys assigned to the Mueller team have quietly begun to slip away before the outcome of the investigation is made public. . .

This is unsurprising. The Russia hoax is crumbling and people can’t run away fast enough. We’ve seen signs from the very beginning that many of the people who promoted the Trump-Russia collusion smear have always known it was a hoax. These signs have been in plain sight. Here is an incomplete list. . .

On May 19, 2017, FBI agent Peter Strzok wrote FBI lawyer (and his paramour) Lisa Page his assessment of the Trump-Russia collusion accusations after nearly a year-long investigation: “There’s no big there there.” In June 2017, the following month, CNN’s Van Jones was secretly recorded saying, “The Russia thing is just a big nothingburger. There’s nothing there you can do.”

Bob Woodward of Watergate fame has been saying for some time that there’s no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion. Michael Isakoff of Yahoo news, who did some of the early Trump-Russia reporting, has admitted that many of the Trump-Russia claims are “likely false.” . . .

If you listen to a Russia collusion booster for more than five minutes, he will eventually point to the June 9, 2016 meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and a two Russians, Natalia Veselnitskaya and Rinat Akhmetshin. How New York’s Radical Abortion Law Will Hurt Preemies and People With Down Syndrome

Last week, a spokesperson for the Queens district attorney’s office announced that a New York man accused of stabbing his pregnant girlfriend to death repeatedly in the abdomen and neck would not be charged with second-degree abortion due to the repeal of that statute in the recently passed Reproductive Health Act (RHA), which expanded abortion access to the point of birth in the state.

Not an ounce of the justice due to the unborn child of Jennifer Irigoyen will be sought, all because pro-death officials elected by New Yorkers have succeeded in their mission to define all pre-born human life in their state as disposable non-persons.

Pro-lifers often criticize pro-choice language as myopically, disingenuously focused on “a woman and her doctor.” We assert that a child is involved, too––a child who is being killed. We point out the value of pre-born life and “the mother-child bond,” but in our zeal for saving pre-born babies from abortion, we often unwittingly restrict our focus to what happens in the surgical room of abortion clinics and the doctors’ offices that prescribe abortifacients. . .

Women have been pressured to abort babies with abnormalities or difficult pregnancies to the point of others scheduling the abortion without their express consent and trying to scare them with all the potential problems their child may face. They face this pressure because abortion has become the first “solution” to the problem of a difficult pregnancy, simply because it is legal and ostensibly more convenient and less expensive than giving birth and trying to potentially raise a disabled child, or trying to balance cancer treatment with preserving the baby’s health.

The tragedy doesn’t even end at the deaths of pre-born babies with abnormalities––the effect of killing off the vast majority of certain populations, as Denmark and the Netherlands have done with Down Syndrome, is a drastic decrease in quality of life for the few who are allowed to live due to scarce resources and an ever-increasing pressure for women to abort a baby with that diagnosis. If nearly every baby of a certain diagnosis is aborted, there is little incentive to develop treatments and therapy for those conditions, much less make them affordable. Global Warming Update: California Tells Skiers to Stay Home, Too Much Snow

By Breitbart. Ski and snowboard fans may have to make plans to stay inside over the Presidents Day three-day weekend instead of taking to the slopes as state officials warn there is too much snow to be cleared making mountain roads dangerous.

Mammoth Mountain, a popular ski resort, is just 5 inches short of 30-year snowfall record for February. . .

Weather forecasters are predicting snow storms in northern Arizona this weekend. And in some parts of Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming, road crews are clearing avalanches that closed highways and doing operations to prevent more slides.

The Union of Concerned Scientists has a white paper on its website that warns the western United States will suffer drought and reduced snowpack, even as strong snowstorms hit in the northwest U.S. and above-normal rainfall measurements in southern California have been recorded so far this year. California Issues Warning to Avoid Skiing Over Presidents’ Day Weekend Because There’s TOO MUCH Snow to Keep up With Plow Demand on Dangerous Mountain Roads

By Daily Mail. Keen snow sports fans in California and across the West Coast have been ordered to stay home this holiday weekend because ski resorts were taking in too much snow.

Winter weather enveloping California’s mountains for a fourth straight day Friday kept skiers from hitting the slopes at the start of the Presidents’ Day holiday weekend, with snow so deep that plows could not tackle it and cities scrambled to find places to pile it.

Mammoth Mountain was about to break a more than 30-year record for monthly snowfall and skiers and snowboarders should be able to reach the slopes as long as they have chains or snow tires, resort spokesman Justin Romano said.
