Investigators Say They Caught Murderer 21 Years After Cold Case But Can’t Do Anything About It

Washington State investigators alleged Thursday that they caught the murderer in a cold case from 21 years ago but said he cannot be prosecuted.

The Island County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) said they have officially closed the case of the Dec. 9, 2003 murder of Tamara “Tammy” Mattson, who was a 39-year-old mother of seven, in a Facebook post. Officials said they are “confident they have identified the perpetrator,” Carl D. Schlobom, 69, who is currently imprisoned for life without parole in Arizona for a 2005 murder.

“Unfortunately, Schlobom cannot be prosecuted for Ms. Mattson’s murder, even if prosecutors had sufficient evidence to prove his guilt, because he suffers from advanced dementia,” the ICSO said.

Mattson’s body was found in Camano Island State Park in 2003 and authorities followed up leads and conducted interviews for almost six years but did not advance the case. At the time of the initial investigation, officials found a cigarette butt in a parking lot near where Mattson’s remains were located.

Officials were able to test it for DNA in 2009 with assistance from the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab. The DNA matched Schlobom’s as his DNA was admitted to the national CODIS database following his 2005 conviction, according to police. Officials then had to prove that Schlobom was there when the murder occurred and not just a bystander or witness. Investigators then spent 10 years searching for any connections between Mattson and Schlobom. Actress Mocks Harry and Meghan Markle as ‘Disaster Tourists’ Over Fire Photo-Op

Former Family Ties star Justine Bateman ridiculed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their Friday photo-op as they met with victims of the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires.

With their reputations in tatters, the HarryMeg decided to head out to Pasadena, California, Friday to spend time with wildfire victims. They toured the devastation, pretended to care about commoners, and served food.

Bateman was having none of it.

“Meghan Markle and Harry are no better than ambulance chasers,” she xweeted Saturday. “What a repulsive ‘photo op’ they achieved. They are ‘touring the damage’? Are they politicians now?”

“They don’t live here,” she added. They are tourists. Disaster Tourists.”

Wife of Matthew Livelsberger — Green Beret Involved in Las Vegas Bombing — Speaks Out, Hits Rumors and Lies

The wife of Army Master Sgt. Matthew Livelsberger — the Green Beret involved in the Las Vegas Tesla Cybertruck bombing on New Year’s Day — broke her silence on Sunday evening in a statement put out by a fellow Green Beret veteran.

In her statement, she hit back against what she says has been misinformation and lies spread about her and Livelsberger, such as that they were having marital problems and that she kicked him out of their home before Christmas.

She specifically slammed a rumor spread by the Chief of Staff of the Army’s public affairs officer, Lt. Col. Dave Butler, that their newborn daughter’s DNA did not match Livelsberger’s.

Matt Tardio, host of Speak the Truth podcast, posted the statement from Livelsberger’s wife, Jennifer Davis, on his X account. . .

Podcaster Shawn Ryan on his show said Butler had said in a private conversation that Livelsberger’s child’s DNA did not match his. Ryan’s lawyer, Tim Parlatore, later described his conversation with Butler in detail, and called it “one of the weirdest conversations that I’ve ever had with a public affairs officer.” (Read more from “Wife of Matthew Livelsberger — Green Beret Involved in Las Vegas Bombing — Speaks Out, Hits Rumors and Lies” HERE)

A Parental Rights Law Is Now on the Books in This State

Last week, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) quietly signed a bill into law that requires educators to keep parents informed about their children’s “gender identities” and allow parents to opt their children out of lessons about sexuality.

Ohio’s H.B. 8 has been compared to Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law, dubbed by left-wing activists as the “Don’t Say Gay” law. The bill restricts which sex and gender lessons can be taught in schools and for specific grade levels.

According to The Hill, DeWine said that LGBTQ+ students are “welcome in Ohio, welcome in our schools and we want to protect them.”

“The basis of it, for me, is that if you’re a parent, you want to be informed about what’s going on in your child’s life. Parents are the best teachers — first teachers are the best teachers. It’s very, very important. I think that’s what was behind that,” he explained. (Read more from “A Parental Rights Law Is Now on the Books in This State” HERE)

Lawsuit Filed Casting Blame for Deadly Eaton Fire in Los Angeles: ‘Failure to De-Energize’

A California law firm filed a complaint against the Southern California Edison Company (SCE) on Monday, accusing the energy company of starting the Eaton Fire.

In a statement, Bridgford, Gleason & Artinian said that it believes the Eaton Fire “was ignited because of SCE’s failure to de-energize its overhead wires which traverse Eaton Canyon.”

The firm said that it came to the conclusion after meeting with consultants, reviewing SCE’s public statements, analyzing video evidence of the Eaton Fire’s origin and its own investigation.

The fire reportedly began “despite a red flag PDS wind warning issued by the national weather service the day before the ignition of the fire.”

“Our hearts go out to the many victims of this and the other Los Angeles fires,” the firm said. (Read more from “Lawsuit Filed Casting Blame for Deadly Eaton Fire in Los Angeles: ‘Failure to De-Energize’” HERE)

Arizona’s Attorney General Vows to Continue Jack Smith’s Lawfare

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, a Democrat, has requested President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice hand over former Special Counsel Jack Smith’s case files against incoming President Donald Trump and others for ongoing prosecution.

“I am writing to request the Department of Justice disclose to my office its case file inSpecial Counsel’s investigation and prosecution relating to the 2020 presidential election in Washington, D.C. (Election Case) as authorized by a recent order issued by the Maricopa CountySuperior Court. Early in my term as Arizona’s Attorney General, my office sought access toSpecial Counsel’s materials in its case. Then, Special Counsel was not ready or able to share any materials,” Mayes wrote in a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland Monday. “Today, your office does not have an active case and is preparing to release SpecialCounsel’s report in the Election Case. Given these changed circumstances, I am revisiting my office’s earlier request.”

“Those who tried to subvert democracy in 2020 must be held accountable,” Mayes continued. “I am requesting you disclose to my office Special Counsel’s entire file, including the final report in the Election Case to the extent allowable by law and consistent with the Superior Court’s Order.”

Zuckerberg’s Rebrand Of Facebook’s Role In Biden Censorship Scheme Refuted In Facebook Files

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is on a mission to give Facebook’s key role in the censorship industrial complex a makeover, but his attempts to save face one alleged fact-checking policy change and tampon at a time flounder in the face of the evidence.

The Silicon Valley bro’s attempt to drastically shift Facebook away from the radical policies that have defined its presence in the Big Tech world while the second Trump administration takes over the federal government is no coincidence. Zuckerberg even took a page out of President Donald Trump’s playbook by going on the number one podcast in the world, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” to explain the alleged end to the Big Tech company’s partisan “fact-checking” program he announced earlier this month.

One of the most newsworthy moments of the episode occurred when Zuckerberg admitted to host Joe Rogan that members of the Biden administration “would call up our team and like scream at them and curse” demanding censorship of content, including memes, that it claimed undermined the regime’s Covid-19 vaccine agenda.

According to the Facebook founder, the employees on Meta’s censorship team rejected and even pushed back on the Democrat regime’s pressure to remove posts and “take down humor and satire.”

“It basically just got to this point where we were like ‘No, we’re not going to take down things that are true. That’s ridiculous,’” Zuckerberg said. (Read more from “Zuckerberg’s Rebrand Of Facebook’s Role In Biden Censorship Scheme Refuted In Facebook Files” HERE)

Prosecutor Who Investigated Hunter Biden Defends Probes, Denounces President’s Remarks in New Report

The criminal charges against Hunter Biden “were the culmination of thorough, impartial investigations, not partisan politics,” the prosecutor who led the probes said in a report released Monday that criticized President Joe Biden for pardoning his son and for “maligning” the officials involved in the cases.

The report from special counsel David Weiss is the culmination of years-long investigations into Hunter Biden that predated the arrival of Attorney General Merrick Garland but ultimately prompted the appointment of a special counsel and produced a fissure between the Justice Department and the White House over the treatment of the president’s son. ‘Pete’s A Patriot’: More Than 100 Veterans And Supporters Rally For Hegseth’s Pentagon Nomination

More than 100 former Navy SEALs, military veterans, and other supporters gathered in Washington, D.C. on Monday to back Pete Hegseth’s nomination as the next secretary of defense. The rally comes ahead of Hegseth’s confirmation hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday.

“These are warfighters. That’s who support[s] Pete. That’s who’s on this podium. These are men and women who put it on the line for our country. And they’re telling you the way it is,” former Navy SEAL Bill Brown said.

Monday’s presser comes amid a series of unsubstantiated allegations of wrongdoing in the workplace leveled against Hegseth by alleged anonymous sources leading up to Tuesday’s confirmation hearing. Laundered by America’s corrupt corporate media, some of these claims appear to stem from a former disgruntled employee. They have also been heavily disputed by Hegseth’s former colleagues and associates.

A woman also previously accused Hegseth of sexual assault following a purported 2017 sexual encounter between the two. Prosecutors declined to press charges due to a lack of “proof beyond a reasonable doubt,” according to reports.

Several veterans in Monday’s gathering are former Navy SEALs who participated in the GI Go Fund’s Navy SEAL Hudson River Swims, a charity event involving former SEALs, “fellow veterans and military supporters in a swim across the Hudson River to honor our military veterans, their families, and all of those who died during 9/11 and the wars that followed that fateful day.” Hegseth previously partook in the swim during his time as a Fox News host.
