Army Retains Decorated Green Beret It Planned to Kick out Over Confronting Afghan Child Rapist

Enduring FreedomIn a stunning reversal, the U.S. Army decided late Thursday to retain a decorated Green Beret it had planned to kick out after he physically confronted a local Afghan commander accused of raping a boy over the course of many days.

Sgt 1st Class Charles Martland, confirmed the Army’s decision to retain him when reached by Fox News, who has been covering the story in depth for the past eight months and first broke the story of the Army’s decision in August to kick out Martland over the incident, which occurred in northern Afghanistan in 2011.

“I am real thankful for being able to continue to serve,” said Martland when reached on the telephone by Fox News. “I appreciate everything Congressman Duncan Hunter and his Chief of Staff, Joe Kasper did for me.”

As first reported by Fox News, while deployed to Kunduz Province, Afghanistan, Martland and his team leader confronted a local police commander in 2011 accused of raping an Afghan boy and beating his mother. When the man laughed off the incident, they shoved him to the ground.

Martland and his team leader were later removed from the base, and eventually sent home from Afghanistan. The U.S. Army has not confirmed the specifics of Martland’s separation from service citing privacy reasons, but a “memorandum of reprimand” from October 2011 obtained by Fox News makes clear that Martland was criticized by the brass for his intervention after the alleged rape. Asked for comment in September 2015, an Army spokesman reiterated, “the U.S. Army is unable to confirm the specifics of his separation due to the Privacy Act.” (Read more from “Army Retains Decorated Green Beret It Planned to Kick out Over Confronting Afghan Child Rapist” HERE)

Queen to Obama: Don’t Burn My Lawn This Time

hqdefaultEngland’s Queen Elizabeth II turned 90 this week and dignitaries from all over the world came to celebrate, including President Obama. However, this time, the birthday girl put her foot down and refused to allow the Obama entourage to have their way with how they arrived and comported.

In 2011, when the U.S. commander in chief came to town, he left a trail of destruction in his wake at Windsor Castle, the queen’s home and favorite of all residences. His helicopters, all six of them, scorched the earth at the castle and left landing-gear divots in the manicured lawn.

The Express reported the queen was not amused and required the president to use three helicopters during this year’s visit, to minimize the damage to the castle’s grounds. The Express’ Alix Culbertson wrote, “She said only three helicopters, including the president’s personal aircraft Marine One, could land on the lawn when Mr. Obama, 54, and his wife, Michelle, 52, came for dinner with the Queen and Prince Philip to celebrate her 90th birthday.” Also reported as a requirement was for the president’s security detail to remain outside the Windsor dining hall during the dining hour.

Apparently, it took some time for the Secret Service to come around to the matriarch’s way of thinking but eventually the queen’s demands were met. An inside source reportedly told the Express, “She rarely imposes her will but when she does people listen – it just took the US Secret Service agents a little time to realise that.” The president’s men complied and the event went over without any incidents reported save the complete shutdown of air traffic over London when the president’s choppers arrived. The choppers were also reportedly escorted by F-22 Raptors poised to shoot down any airborne threats against the president and first lady. Former House Speaker, “Serial Child Molester,” Sentenced to 15 Months in Prison

Dennis_Hastert_2 (1)By Natasha Korecki. Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert was sentenced to 15 months in prison on Wednesday after a dramatic hearing in which a judge deemed him a “serial child molester” and victims tearfully testified that he forever altered their lives.

“Some conduct is unforgivable no matter how old it is,” U.S. District Judge Thomas Durkin told Hastert in a lengthy statement at the hearing.

Durkin called it “deplorable” that Hastert lied to the FBI during an initial investigation that ultimately led to a felony charge that Hastert broke federal law on reporting cash transactions while paying hush money to a former student at a school where he was a coach. Durkin also said it was “unconscionable” that Hastert initially accused the former student — known in the case as Individual A — of extortion, leading the FBI to begin investigating the victim.

“You set him up,” Durkin told Hastert, who has admitted to sexually abusing teenage boys when he was a high school teacher and wrestling coach more than three decades ago.

Durkin upbraided Hastert for trying to say the conduct against Individual A was “ambiguous.” (Read more from “Former House Speaker Sentenced to 15 Months in Prison” HERE)

A Look at the Men Accusing Hastert of Sexual Abuse

By Michael Tarm. Individual A was 14 when Hastert abused him, according to court documents filed by the government earlier this month. Hastert would have been in his 20s or 30s . . .

Individual B was also 14 when he says Hastert abused him. It happened when he was alone in the locker room with Hastert after a workout. He told prosecutors Hastert offered him a massage, telling him it would help “loosen him up.” Hastert then “performed a sexual act” on him, the court documents said . . .

Individual C had just stepped out of a locker room shower when Hastert offered him a massage. He didn’t think it strange at first. But when his towel came off, Hastert brushed his hand against the boy’s genitals. “Individual C recalls that it was ‘very weird’ and made him uncomfortable,” according to the court papers. But Individual C wasn’t sure the touching was intentional. (Read more from “A Look at the Men Accusing Hastert of Sexual Abuse” HERE)

North Carolina Lawmaker: ‘Keep Our State Straight’

Gay_pride_Istanbul_at_Taksim_SquareRhetorical skirmishes continued Tuesday in North Carolina over a law limiting protections for LGBT people, as Democrats criticized a Republican’s plea to “keep our state straight.”

The criticism came a day after dueling demonstrations drew thousands of protesters for and against the law, ending with the arrests of 54 people voicing their opposition to the law in the Legislative Building.

At a demonstration supporting the law earlier Monday, the state’s Republican nominee for attorney general, state Sen. Buck Newton, urged the crowd to “tell your friends and family who had to work today what this is all about and how hard we must fight to keep our state straight.”

The North Carolina Democratic Party issued a statement Tuesday calling the comments hateful and discriminatory toward lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. They called for Newton, who shepherded the legislation through his chamber, to apologize.

Newton told reporters on Tuesday that the phrase “keep our state straight” had nothing to do with sexual orientation. “It means keep men out of the ladies’ room,” he said. (Read more from “North Carolina Lawmaker: ‘Keep Our State Straight'” HERE)

L.A. Woman Photographs What She Witnessed in a Target Restroom

Target_Albemarle_Rd_Charlotte,_NC_(7579989322)[Editor’s note: Snopes – which is by no means authoritative – quotes a Target spokesman in suggesting that Target has not installed urinals in any of its stores’ transgender-friendly “women’s” bathrooms. However, as of the time of this post, no one has interviewed the woman who allegedly took the picture seen below. Whether the installation of any urinals in Target’s ex-female restrooms has begun or not, the fact that Target would allow any man in a woman’s restroom to then urinate on a woman’s toilet seat is despicable enough] Only days after the Target Corp. issued a release confirming its stance on the issue of transgender restrooms, a patron noticed something in the women’s restroom that she felt compelled to photograph.

A statement released by Target on April 19 called “inclusivity” a core value belief of Target that should be celebrated.

The statement said, “We welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity.”

In a Facebook post, Karen Crawford said, “It’s true. ..I’m in the women’s bathroom at a Target north of LA…they actually took out a stall for women in order to accommodate the ones who have giblets…yes, these are urinals…for men…and so the war on women progresses. …” . . .

One follower posted: “Dear Target, thank you for being so ‘inclusive’ as to allow men who identify as women to use the rest room with women who identify as women. Some people believe safety, privacy, dignity, and reality are more important considerations than political correctness, but it’s wonderful to see you taking a stand against those bigots. Why should our wives and daughters be treated with decency when there are cross dressing dudes to appease? Again, thank you for your bravery.” (Read more from “L.A. Planned Parenthood Faces Intense Criticism After Tweet Claiming Expose’ Videos Were Fake

maxresdefaultFirst, Planned Parenthood’s CEO apologized for the undercover videos exposing its trafficking of aborted baby body parts. Then it backtracked and claimed the videos were “heavily edited.” Now, it’s saying the videos were entirely “faked.”

The undercover videos by the Center for Medical Progress have damaged the abortion giant’s already shady reputation. Since last summer, CMP has released a dozen undercover videos showing various Planned Parenthood employees discussing the sale of aborted babies body parts. These videos have prompted numerous state and federal investigations, as well as efforts to ban the sale of aborted babies’ body parts and end taxpayer funding to the abortion chain.

Planned Parenthood has been trying without success to discredit the videos. Several forensic analyses of the undercover videos, including one by Planned Parenthood, found no “widespread evidence of substantive video manipulation,” LifeNews reported.

Perhaps the abortion group hopes people have forgotten the results of these forensic analyses. A report on Twitchy points out how the abortion business recently published a series of tweets describing the undercover videos as “fake”: . . .

But followers on Twitter did not let Planned Parenthood get away with it:

Prince Death Investigation Reportedly Focusing on Pain Pills

maxresdefaultAuthorities investigating the sudden death of pop star Prince are focusing on the role painkillers may have played in his premature demise, according to a published report.

Prince, known for the hit songs “Purple Rain” and “When Doves Cry”, among others, was found dead Thursday at his Paisley Park estate in suburban Chanhassan, Minn. He was 57.

Michael Padden, a longtime attorney for two of Prince’s siblings, told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune that had come to him in 2001 with concerns about the star’s drug use. Padden said Prince’s sister Lorna Nelson and brother Duane Nelson told him that Prince particularly abused the painkiller Percocet, as well as cocaine.

“Lorna told me that her brother would die young … before his time and of a heart attack,” Padden told the paper. The lawyer also claimed that Prince’s brother, Duane Nelson, told Padden that he paid straw buyers to obtain prescriptions, then gave them to Prince . . .

Many of Prince’s longtime colleagues in the music business have insisted the “Let’s Go Crazy” singer led a clean life. Former band member Sheila E. said Sunday that she had “never seen him take anything, not even aspirin, in the 38 years I’ve known him.” (Read more from “Prince Death Investigation Reportedly Focusing on Pain Pills” HERE)

Former U.S. Senator, 90, Marrying a MAN 20 Years After Wife’s Death

HarriswoffordFormer Sen. Harris Wofford, 90, is set to marry a man at the end of this month, 20 years after the death of his wife.

In a column written in The New York Times, the former Pennsylvania senator wrote that after his wife died when he was 70, he didn’t expect to fall in love again and remarry.

After the death of his wife, he wrote he “felt grateful to be alive, lucky to have many friends and family members, and glad for a challenging assignment from President Clinton involving national service” . . .

At the end of this month, Wofford and Charlton, ages 90 and 40, will “join hands, vowing to be bound together.”

Wofford served as special assistant for civil rights to former President John F. Kennedy and adviser to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (Read more from “Former U.S. Senator, 90, Marrying a MAN 20 Years After Wife’s Death” HERE)

CDC Official Warned Staff of Health, Safety Risks During Influx of Illegal Alien Minors

4556668580_e7c724750b_bA government official warned employees deploying for the influx of illegal immigrant minors about health and safety risks because the new arrivals would have tuberculosis and some were young adults—not children—like the Obama administration proclaimed, according to records obtained by Judicial Watch. “We might as well plan on many of the kids having TB,” states a June 26, 2014 guidance e-mail from a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) environmental health scientist, Alaric C. Denton, as the agency prepared to handle the crisis. “Most of these kids are not immunized, so we need to make sure all our staff are immunized.” Denton, who is stationed at the CDC headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, predicts in the directive that the agency will be overwhelmed pretty quickly and that screening requirements will be hard to keep up with.

Judicial Watch had to sue the CDC’s umbrella agency, the Department of Health and Human Services, (HHS) for the records. Though chunks have been redacted, the documents contradict the Obama administration’s public statements dismissing possible health and safety risks created by the tens of thousands of Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) fleeing violence in Central America. The CDC official reveals in the documents obtained by JW as a result of the lawsuit that “some of these kids are not really kids they are young adults, and we should be wary of personal safety.” JW reported this early on, when the first group of UACs arrived through the Mexican border in the summer of 2014. Homeland Security sources directly involved with the mess told JW that holding centers were jam-packed, rampant with diseases and sexually active teenagers. A veteran Border Patrol officer who heads the agency’s Tucson sector quickly established that many of the UACs were not little kids but rather 17-year-olds with possible ties to gang members in the U.S. (Read more from “CDC Official Warned Staff of Health, Safety Risks During Influx of Illegal Alien Minors” HERE)

Prince Employed C.S. Lewis’ Line of Reasoning in Defense of Jesus’ Claims

Prince_at_CoachellaPrince fans may be surprised to learn the role faith played in his life. The pop star reportedly read the Bible consistently and thought deeply about man’s place in the world . . .

The singer, who became a Jehovah’s Witness in 2001, employed a similar line of reasoning to Christian apologist C.S. Lewis, who famously observed that based on the claims He made about Himself, Jesus was either a “lunatic, liar or Lord.”

While the lyrics in several of Prince’s songs were sexual, many others had allusions to Christianity. Regarding sexuality, Prince told V Magazine, “We are sensual beings, the way God created us.”

A 2013 biographer noted while the singer was sexual he was “ultimately very conservative.” In 2008, while gay marriage was being debated in California and across the country, he voiced his opposition to it.

The singer chided Democrats for the notion that, “You can do whatever you want,” then tapping on his Bible and making reference to God judging the earth for sexual depravity in the past, apparently either in the time of Noah or Sodom and Gomorrah.

One of his most popular songs, Let’s Go Crazy (1984), begins with the artist accompanied by an organ solo speaking in pastor-like tones, “Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called Life. Electric word life, it means forever and that’s a mighty long time. But I’m here to tell you, there’s something else: The after world. A world of never ending happiness You can always see the sun, day or night.” (Read more from “Prince Employed C.S. Lewis’ Line of Reasoning in Defense of Jesus’ Claims” HERE)
