Judge Orders Psych Eval for Capitol Rioter ‘QAnon Shaman’

A federal judge has ordered Jacob Chansley, the Jan. 6 Capitol rioter known as the “QAnon Shaman,” to undergo a psychological evaluation.

There is “reasonable cause to believe that a competency examination” for Chansley is warranted, wrote Judge Royce Lamberth of the US District Court for the District of Columbia.

Chansley, 33, who also went by the name Jake Angeli, gained attention for wearing a horned helmet and red, white and blue face paint and carrying an American flag at multiple protests around his hometown of Phoenix before the Capitol riot. The bare-chested activist was a prominent figure in videos and photos taken during the insurrection, when he made it to the Senate floor, where he allegedly left a note for former Vice President Mike Pence.

He was arrested just three days after the riot, and refused to eat non-organic food while he was locked up. In March, he told “60 Minutes” that he did not attack the country, but was merely trying to inject some “positive vibrations” in the Senate on Jan. 6, where he said he “sang a song”. Investigation: Mild Heart Condition Found in Group of Vaxxed Teens, Young Adults

The CDC says it is investigating a small number of reports of young COVID-19 vaccine recipients experiencing “mild” heart inflammation.

The government health agency said it has received “relatively few” reports of predominantly male adolescents and young adults developing myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle.

The condition can be caused by a number of viruses, and often goes away without complications, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices said. . .

The group did not specify the number of people affected but said cases usually occurred within four days of taking the Moderna or Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, which was recently approved for children ages 12 – 15. Biden Awards Medal of Honor to Korean War Hero

President Joe Biden awarded his first Medal of Honor on Friday to a 94-year-old retired Army colonel for bravery under enemy fire more than a half-century ago in the Korean War.

It took a policy change for retired Col. Ralph Puckett Jr. to receive the military’s highest honor. The 2020 defense policy bill removed a requirement that such awards be given within five years of a valorous act.

“Today we are hosting a true American hero and awarding an honor that is long overdue — more than 70 years overdue,” Biden said during the East Room ceremony. “Though I understand that your first response to us hosting this event was to ask why all the fuss.”

Biden said Puckett had suggested they just mail him the award.

Investigation of Ousted Space Force Commander Elevated to Inspector General (VIDEO)

The investigation into the ousting of a Space Force commander who spoke out against Marxism and critical race theory in the military has been elevated to the Department of the Air Force’s Office of Inspector General (IG).

Air Force spokesperson Ann Stefanek told Fox News on Thursday that the investigation into the removal of Lt. Colonel Matthew Lohmeier from duty was moving up to the IG’s office for review, as the case could have an Air Force-wide impact.

Stefanek also said that the IG’s investigation would take precedence over the one launched by Lohmeier’s superior, Air Force Lt. General Stephen Whiting.

“The Department of the Air Force Inspector General has elevated the review of Lt Col Lohmeier’s actions to DAF-IG level for assessment and investigation, as appropriate,” Stefanek told Fox News. “The decision was made by DAF-IG due to the complexity and sensitivity of the issues under consideration, as well as potential for DAF-wide impact.” . . .

Lohmeier, who was the commander of the 11th Space Warning Squadron at Buckley Air Force Base in Colorado, was removed from duty last week after he spoke out against Marxism and critical race theory. ‘NO CONSERVATIVES ARE WELCOME’: Steven Crowder Sues YouTube

YouTube has demonetized BlazeTV host Steven Crowder yet again, but this time Crowder is taking the tech giant to court.

Recently, YouTube gave Crowder’s account its second hard strike, meaning that the next one will result in a permanent ban. He joined Glenn Beck on the radio program to explain what this would mean for the future of conservative media and how he’s fighting back.

“We have filed a legal notice of a lawsuit and an immediate injunction against YouTube,” Crowder explained. “This is the big one. This is the big one with the Roman Empire at this point. As a matter of fact, the Roman Empire couldn’t fathom the power of Alphabet, who owns YouTube and Google.”

Crowder argued that neither of the videos that received strikes actually violated YouTube’s policies. Instead, he believes YouTube is essentially saying conservative views are not welcome.

“It’s tantamount to saying, no conservatives are welcome,” Crowder said. “I do not say this to boast. You know I never talk about the numbers on my show because I want the content to speak for itself, but this is far and away the No. 1 show on new media. Period. We beat Kimmel. We beat Trevor Noah. We beat these guys every single day. Every single day. But it’s not because of us — it’s conservative views. These views are not welcome. Trump Officials Feel ‘Betrayed’ After Getting Slapped With Thousands in Unexpected Back Taxes

Former Trump administration officials feel shocked and betrayed after discovering they owe the federal government thousands of dollars in unpaid taxes.

More than a dozen former officials say they had not received any warning prior that they would be responsible for paying back the government in full, with bills ranging from just under $1,100 in some cases to just over $1,500 in others.

The Washington Examiner conducted interviews on the subject with individuals who, in 2020, worked at the White House or a number of executive branch agencies, including the departments of Agriculture, Defense, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Treasury, and the Small Business Administration. Some officials received notices directly from the Office of the Administration within the White House, while others were alerted by the agencies they previously worked for, claiming they must pay upward of $1,000 within 30 days of the post-marked date. The earliest date an official who spoke with the Washington Examiner was notified of the back taxes was in the first week of April, while the latest was on May 18. The notices were distributed both by mail and email.

A spokesman for the National Finance Center, an agency within the Department of Agriculture that handles payroll for the federal government, told the Washington Examiner that former Trump administration employees received 13 “written communications” regarding their future tax burden, six of which were sent prior to the end of President Donald Trump’s term on Jan. 20, 2021. Biden Hails Asian Hate-Crimes Bill but Ignores True Cause Behind Attacks

President Biden on Thursday pounded his podium as he decried crimes targeting Asian Americans before signing a hate-crimes bill crafted in response to a reported rise in violence against Asian Americans during the coronavirus pandemic.

Biden and fellow Democrats have contended the rise is linked to former President Donald Trump’s branding of COVID-19 as the “China virus.” The bill gained momentum after the shooting of eight massage-parlor workers in Atlanta, six of whom were Asian.

But crime data and the many incidents captured on closed-circuit cameras or by bystanders tell a story that establishment media and politicians are unwilling to confront: Most of the perpetrators are not Trump-supporting white supremacists. They are black people who, some sociologists argue, are part of the legacy of Congress trying to make amends for the monstrous sins of slavery and segregation through massive welfare programs that have produced fatherless families.

Biden called the history of mistreatment against the “AAPI community” – Asian American and Pacific Islander – “un-American.” . . .

The legislation aims to expedite the review of hate crimes believed to be related to the pandemic and grant federal funds to local law enforcement to improve reporting of bias-driven incidents. The Justice Department is to designate a point person to assist with the expedited review of COVID-19 hate crimes and expand “linguistically appropriate” public education campaigns. Fauci Prediction: Airlines, Universities Will Require Vaccine Proof

Dr. Anthony Fauci expects airlines, cruise ships, and other organizations to require proof of being vaccinated in order to participate in their services, he said during Thursday’s Bloomberg Businessweek conference.

“There are organizations, particularly universities and colleges who are saying, not withstanding what the federal government is requiring, if you want to come into campus and be in in-person learning, you’re going to have to show proof of vaccination,” Fauci, chief medical advisor to President Biden, said Thursday.

“Cruise ships will likely be doing that. Airlines will likely be doing that. So you’re going to have at, a local, independent-level, things that the federal government is not going to be mandating,” he continued.

Fauci’s remarks follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) updated guidance, which states fully vaccinated individuals can “resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.”

As a result, major retailers have eased their hardline mask mandates, allowing vaccinated individuals to forgo a face covering while requesting unvaccinated customers to continue to follow federal health guidelines.
