Amazon Illegally Fired Workers Who Spoke Against Company

Amazon is facing more heat after the National Labor Relations Board determined that it illegally fired two of its employees who were voicing concerns about the company.

The labor board found that Emily Cunningham and Maren Costa, who worked as user experience designers at the company’s Seattle headquarters, were fired because of their activism. They began criticizing the company in 2018 and were terminated in April of last year.

An official with the NLRB told the Washington Examiner on Monday that the board found merit with their claims and that if Amazon does not settle with the women, Seattle’s regional director will file a complaint accusing Amazon of unfair labor practices.

“It’s a moral victory and really shows that we are on the right side of history and the right side of the law,” Cunningham told the New York Times. (Read more from “Amazon Illegally Fired Workers Who Spoke Against Company” HERE)

NYPD Commander Commits Suicide Inside Department Vehicle

An NYPD precinct commander fatally shot himself in the head inside a department vehicle near Kissena Park on Monday, police sources told The Post.

The deputy inspector, who was not immediately identified, had earlier made a call to family members that led them to believe he was suicidal, sources said.

Cops tried to locate his phone, but he had already pulled the trigger by the time they got to the vehicle on Underhill Avenue near the Brooklyn-Queens Greenway, the sources said.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but could not be saved, the sources said. (Read more from “NYPD Commander Commits Suicide Inside Department Vehicle” HERE)

Arkansas GOP Governor Vetoes Child-Protecting Transgender Health Care Bill

Arkansas’ Republican governor on Monday vetoed an anti-transgender health care bill that would’ve prohibited physicians in the state from providing gender-affirming “procedures” for trans people under age 18.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson told reporters that he killed HB 1570 because the bill “would be and is a vast government overreach” and because it would’ve created “new standards of legislative interference with physicians and parents as they deal with some of the most complex and sensitive matters involving young people.”

The governor called the legislation “a product of the cultural war in America,” adding that his veto comes even though he believed the bill was “well-intended.” . . .

The governor predicted during his remarks that the state’s Republican-controlled General Assembly “will likely override” his veto, noting it takes only a simple majority to do so. (Read more from “Arkansas GOP Governor Vetoes Transgender Health Care Bill” HERE)

Trump Goes Off On NYT Over Report His Campaign Stole Money From Supporters

Former President Donald Trump lashed out at the New York Times over a report that his presidential campaign had duped supporters out of millions of dollars in unwitting automatic transactions.

The report was published Saturday and included interviews with several Trump supporters who said that they had authorized a donation to the campaign but later saw their bank accounts depleted from multiple automatic transactions that they did not expect.

On Monday, the former president excoriated the report and denied the claims against his campaign.

“In yet another highly partisan story, the failing New York Times wrote a completely misleading, one-sided attack piece this weekend that tried to disparage our record-setting grassroots fundraising operation during the 2020 campaign,” read the Trump statement. . .

“Our support in 2020 was so big — never before seen (received more votes than any sitting President in history, by far), that it has become a major threat to the Democratic Party, which explains why the New York Times immediately rushed to defend their Radical Left Allies,” Trump continued. Hunter Biden Has ‘No Recollection’ Of Meeting Stripper With Whom He Had A Child

Hunter Biden said he has “no recollection” of meeting a stripper who later gave birth to his child.

Writing in his memoir, “Beautiful Things,” that will hit bookstores on Tuesday, President Biden’s son describes years of drug and alcohol addiction and the numerous sexual encounters he had with women.

”It’s why I would later challenge in court the woman in Arkansas who had a baby in 2018 and claimed the child was mine. I had no recollection of our encounter. That’s how little connection I had with anyone. I was a mess, but a mess I’ve taken responsibility for,” he writes in the book.

The stripper, Lunden Alexis Roberts, was working in a DC strip club when she met Hunter, who had been going through “more than four years of active addiction.” (Read more from “Hunter Biden Has ‘No Recollection’ Of Meeting Stripper With Whom He Had A Child” HERE)

White House Can’t Explain Why Biden Hasn’t Released Months Late Budget, Blames Donald Trump

The White House Monday could not offer a timeline of when it would release a budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

“We expect it to be very soon,” Psaki replied when asked about the lack of a budget. “I don’t have a timeline on that quite yet.”

Previous administrations have released some sort of budget, or at least a blueprint or outline of one, by the end of February. . .

Psaki blamed former President Donald Trump’s administration for the delay, noting an “impactful intransigence” during the transition of power to Biden’s administration. (Read more from “White House Can’t Explain Why Biden Hasn’t Released Budget, Blames Donald Trump” HERE)

Report: Human Traffickers Using Facebook To Advertise U.S.-Mexico Border Services

NBC News reports Monday that human traffickers are “openly advertising their services on Facebook” to would-be migrants from Central America, promising safe passage over the United States-Mexico border, and “fueling false hope” that the new Biden administration will be welcoming to asylum seekers.

“While the use of social media by smugglers is not new, the practice is growing, fueling false hope as more migrants fall prey to misinformation about how the Biden administration will welcome them, according to Department of Homeland Security officials, immigration experts, and lawyers,” the outlet reported, suggesting that the sudden influx of unaccompanied minors, asylum-seeking families, and illegal border-crossers may be fueled by a social media advertising blitz.

“Travel to Mexico to the United States. Costs $8,000. 100 percent safe,” one ad, translated from Spanish and viewed by NBC News, reads. “Cross through Matamoros. You walk one hour, after in automobile until you arrive to your relative.”

“Make your dream a reality in the United States. We are here to help you,” reads another. “The journey is safe and reliable and the price is $4,500 leaving from Monterrey to San Antonio, Texas.” (Read more from “Report: Human Traffickers Using Facebook To Advertise U.S.-Mexico Border Services” HERE)

Poll Reveals How Many Americans Favor Vaccine Passports

Fewer than half of likely voters favor a “vaccine passport” that would that would allow a person to travel, shop, attend events and interact with others.

The Rasmussen national survey found that 44% say “requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination to return to pre-pandemic activities is a good idea.”

Only 41% said it is a bad idea, and 15% said they aren’t sure. The poll was conducted March 30-31.

Among those who say they have already been vaccinated, the support for the requirement was higher, at 62%. (Read more from “Poll Reveals How Many Americans Favor Vaccine Passports” HERE)

Disturbing Easter Message: U.S. Senator Claims ‘We Are Able To Save Ourselves’

U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., a former pastor, said in a now-deleted tweet that “the meaning of Easter is more transcendent” than the resurrection of Jesus.

“Whether you are Christian or not, through a commitment to helping others we are able to save ourselves,” he wrote. . .

Christianity is distinguished from other religions in its belief that salvation is a gift of God, through Jesus’ payment of the penalty for sin. And it’s the resurrection of Jesus from the dead that verifies that claim.

Retired Desert Storm veteran Samuel Williams reacted to Warnock’s tweet: “What kind of Reverend would say something like this. Jesus Christ died and then rose again to take the sins of the world away. You are poisoning the minds of Christians for political purposes.”

Texas Governor Boycotts MLB: Declines To Throw First Pitch After League Pulls All-star Game From Atlanta

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) has declined to throw the first pitch at the Texas Rangers’ home opener and declined to participate in any Major League Baseball (MLB) events after the league announced plans to relocate their All-Star Game from Atlanta in response to Georgia’s newly passed election integrity law.

“Major League Baseball adopted what has turned out to be a false narrative about the election law reforms in Georgia, and, based on that false narrative, moved the MLB All-Star game from Atlanta,” Abbott said in a statement. . .

Perhaps even more importantly, Abbott said he would “not participate” in any MLB events. Nor will the state of Texas offer to host the MLB All-Star Game “or any other MLB events.”

The MLB relocating from Atlanta is projected to cost the city as much as $190 million in revenue, hurting Atlanta’s majority black population that is just overcoming the Chinese pandemic.
