Newly Elected Lawmaker Joins House Members Who Will Object To Electors on Jan. 6

Congresswoman-elect Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) made an official announcement on Thursday that on behalf of her constituents she will object to Electoral College results in the Jan. 6 joint session of Congress.

“Guided by the US Constitution and my responsibility to my constituents, I will object to the Electoral College results on January 6th,” wrote Boebert in a Twitter post.

Boebert was criticized for the post by a news analyst and writer who accused the freshman congresswoman of “bombastic symbolic acts” to further her congressional career.

Boebert responded, “Newsflash: I’m not here to make a career for myself. I’m here to save our country from socialists.”

The newly elected Colorado lawmaker has also been an outspoken supporter of the Second Amendment. (Read more from “Newly Elected Lawmaker Joins House Members Who Will Object To Electors on Jan. 6” HERE)

Doctor Reportedly Has Severe Allergic Reaction To Moderna COVID Vaccine

A Boston doctor suffered a serious allergic reaction to Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine, the first of its kind documented, a report said Friday.

Dr. Hossein Sadrzadeh, a geriatric oncologist at Boston Medical Center, became dizzy and felt his heart racing minutes after receiving the vaccine on Thursday, he told The New York Times.

“It was the same anaphylactic reaction that I experience with shellfish,” Dr. Sadrzadeh told the paper, noting that his tongue became numb, his blood pressure plummeted and he broke into a cold sweat. . .

Sadrzadeh self-administered an EpiPen he brought in the event of such a reaction, and was discharged following a brief emergency room examination, the report said. (Read more from “Doctor Reportedly Has Severe Allergic Reaction To Moderna COVID Vaccine” HERE)

Trump Takes Meetings on Christmas To Urge Congress To Pass $2K Stimulus Checks

President Trump repeated his calls for Congress to approve $2,000 coronavirus stimulus checks in a Christmas Day tweet, announcing he has been taking meetings over the holiday to secure a deal with lawmakers.

“Made many calls and had meetings at Trump International in Palm Beach, Florida. Why would politicians not want to give people $2000, rather than only $600? It wasn’t their fault, it was China. Give our people the money!” Trump wrote on Friday afternoon.

The president, who is spending the holidays at his Mar-a-Lago resort, refused to sign a $2.3 trillion COVID-19 relief and government funding bill before leaving Washington on Wednesday.

After months of inaction, Congress passed a $900 billion aid package but Trump announced at the eleventh hour that he was blocking it, calling it a “disgrace.”

He called for Congress to amend the legislation and increase stimulus checks from $600 to $2,000, while also cutting down on foreign aid and other stuffing in the regular appropriations bill. (Read more from “Trump Takes Meetings on Christmas To Urge Congress To Pass $2K Stimulus Checks” HERE)

Woman Charged for Graphic Threat To GOP Official Who Refused To Certify Biden Win

A woman has been accused in a criminal complaint of sending images that included a bloody human body to a Republican official in Michigan who initially declined to certify the state’s election results for Joe Biden.

The GOP members of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers initially rejected the certification because of claims of vote fraud but later finished the process.

The Detroit Free Press reported the charge names Katelyn Jones, who allegedly told Canvasser Monica Palmer: “You have made a grave mistake. I hope you realize that now.”

One of the images accompanying the message was “of a mutilated body,” according to the complaint filed in federal court in Detroit.

The suspect sent the messages from New Hampshire, where she was visiting relatives, the report said. (Read more from “Woman Charged for Graphic Threat To GOP Official Who Refused To Certify Biden Win” HERE)

Weissman Doubles Down on Claim Trump and Associates Should Be Jailed

Joe Biden has insisted “it is time to turn the page, to unite, to heal,” but Andrew Weissman is among the Democrats who hasn’t gotten the message.

He’s still operating by the left’s mandate of the last four years to stop President Trump at all costs. Weissman, after all, was the “pit bull” of the special counsel investigation pursing the claim of Trump-Russia collusion that ultimately admitted it couldn’t find sufficient evidence.

The Independent newspaper of London reported Weissman claimed that Paul Manafort and Roger Stone, two Trump associates caught up during the Mueller investigation, could still could be in trouble after President Trump pardon them this week. . .

Weissman said Manafort and Stone could be forced to testify before a grand jury and, if caught lying, locked up.

Manafort was jailed for financial misdeeds and Stone was convicted of obstructing the House investigation into the debunked collusion claim. (Read more from “Weissman Doubles Down on Claim Trump and Associates Should Be Jailed” HERE)

U.S. Voters Still Prefer Capitalism Over Socialism

The majority of likely voters favors a free market system over socialism, a poll from the conservative Heartland Institute conducted with Rasmussen Reports found.

The survey found that 75% of respondents preferred capitalist competition. Socialism was preferred by 11% of respondents, and 14% weren’t sure.

“Despite the increased calls for socialism by many on the far left, the vast majority of likely voters believe that the United States should embrace a free-market economy,” Heartland editor Chris Talgo said in a statement. “Only a sliver of likely voters think that the United States should abandon the free-market capitalistic policies that are responsible for making the United States the wealthiest nation in world history.”

Socialism still remained more popular among younger voters, where support grew to roughly 20%, and free market economics had made inroads — support for capitalism among respondents aged 18-39 swelled from 59% in 2019 to 68%, the Heartland Institute noted. Roger Stone Announces $25M Lawsuit Against DOJ

Self-described “dirty trickster” Roger Stone said that he will file a $25 million lawsuit against the Department of Justice while his lawyers file complaints for prosecutorial misconduct against key DOJ officials.

Stone, a longtime Republican operative and ally to President Trump, was arrested in January 2019 and sentenced to 40 months in prison in February in connection with special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. Stone’s high-profile arrest at his Florida estate was caught on camera by CNN after allegedly receiving a tip of his scheduled arrest.

“The terms of my pardon allow me to sue the Department of Justice, Robert Mueller, James Comey, John Brennan, Rod Rosenstein, Josnathan [sic] Kravis, Aaron ‘Fat Ass’ Zelinsky Jeannie Rhee and Michael Morando,” Stone posted to social media site Parler. “My lawyers will be filing formal complaints for prosecutorial misconduct’s with DOJ office of professional responsibility at the same time I file a 25 million dollar lawsuit against the DOJ and each of these individuals personally.”

Stone was found guilty of five separate counts of lying to the House Intelligence Committee during its own Russia investigation regarding his outreach to WikiLeaks during the 2016 campaign, one count that he “corruptly influenced, obstructed, and impeded” the congressional investigation, and one count for attempting to “corruptly persuade” the congressional testimony of radio show host Randy Credico. GOP Blocks $2,000 Stimulus Payments

House Republicans blocked legislation Thursday that would have sent $2,000 in direct payments to Americans, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said.

House Democratic and Republican leaders met early Thursday morning in a pro forma session and held a unanimous consent vote on the direct payments proposal, according to CNBC. Republican leadership voted the measure down, which required all lawmakers present to unanimously vote in favor for it to pass.

“Today, on Christmas Eve morning, House Republicans cruelly deprived the American people of the $2,000 that the President agreed to support,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a statement. “If the President is serious about the $2,000 direct payments, he must call on House Republicans to end their obstruction.”

Pelosi said during a press conference that the House would hold a recorded roll call vote on the measure Monday, Fox News correspondent Chad Pergram reported. If succesful, the measure would alter the the omnibus bill Congress passed Monday night by changing stimulus checks sent to Americans from $600 to $2,000. COVID-19 Vaccine Causing More Allergic Reactions Than Expected

The chief scientific adviser for Operation Warp Speed said the frequency of allergic reactions to the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine is higher than what would be expected for other jabs, according to a report.

Dr. Moncef Slaoui said the last time he was updated on allergic reactions was Tuesday, when there were six cases, and added that the data on COVID-19 immunizations is lagging behind the actual numbers, CNN reported.

“That frequency, as it stood yesterday, is superior to what one would expect with other vaccines,” he said. (Read more from “COVID-19 Vaccine Causing More Allergic Reactions Than Expected” HERE)

PATHETIC: Supreme Court Sets Deadline for Election Fight AFTER Inauguration

The U.S. Supreme Court has given Pennsylvania a deadline of two days after the presidential inauguration to respond to a challenge to the outcome of the 2020 election.

“This means that by the time [Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy] Boockvar and the others the Trump campaign is seeking to take to the Supreme Court even respond to the petition, president-elect Joe Biden will already be sworn in,” Fox News noted.

President Trump held a lead of more than 700,000 votes in Pennsylvania shortly after the polls closed. But after huge “dumps” of ballots overnight almost exclusively for Biden arrived, the Democrat suddenly moved into the lead.

The justices said Boockvar has until Jan. 22 to respond. President Trump’s campaign had asked for the court to set the deadline for this week.

The Jan. 22 deadline might become irrelevant, Fox News pointed out, because the court could decline to hear the case, saying it is moot or impossible to resolved at that point. (Read more from “Supreme Court Sets Deadline for Election Fight After Inauguration” HERE)
