Ways Joe Biden Magically Outperformed Election Norms

In all the excitement among objective journalists for Joe Biden’s declared victory, reporters are missing how extraordinary the Democrat’s performance was in the 2020 election. It’s not just that the former vice president is on track to become the oldest president in American history, it’s what he managed to accomplish at the polls this year.

Candidate Joe Biden was so effective at animating voters in 2020 that he received a record number of votes, more than 15 million more than Barack Obama received in his re-election of 2012. Amazingly, he managed to secure victory while also losing in almost every bellwether county across the country. No presidential candidate has been capable of such electoral jujitsu until now. . .

President Trump gained more than ten million votes since his 2016 victory, but Biden’s appeal was so substantial that it overcame President Trump’s record support among minority voters. Biden also shattered Barack Obama’s own popular vote totals, really calling into question whether it was not perhaps Biden who pulled Obama across the finish lines in 2008 and 2012. . .

Biden is set to become the first president in 60 years to lose the states of Ohio and Florida on his way to election. For a century, these states have consistently predicted the national outcome, and they have been considered roughly representative of the American melting pot as a whole. Despite national polling giving Biden a lead in both states, he lost Ohio by eight points and Florida by more than three. . .

Randy DeSoto noted in The Western Journal that “Donald Trump was pretty much the only incumbent president in U.S. history to lose his re-election while his own party gained seats in the House of Representatives.” Now that’s a Biden miracle! Mattis: Joe Biden Must Eliminate ‘America First’ From U.S. Foreign Policy

Former Secretary of Defense James Mattis declared in an article in Foreign Affairs on Monday that the “America First” foreign policy had damaged national security, and called on Joe Biden to “eliminate ‘America first’” from U.S. strategy. . .

In his new article, however, Mattis says the opposite, calling for the “end of America First”:

The United States today is undermining the foundations of an international order manifestly advantageous to U.S. interests, reflecting a basic ignorance of the extent to which both robust alliances and international institutions provide vital strategic depth. In practice, “America first” has meant “America alone.” That has damaged the country’s ability to address problems before they reach U.S. territory and has thus compounded the danger emergent threats pose.

In January, when President Joe Biden and his national security team begin to reevaluate U.S. foreign policy, we hope they will quickly revise the national security strategy to eliminate “America first” from its contents, restoring in its place the commitment to cooperative security that has served the United States so well for decades. The best strategy for ensuring safety and prosperity is to buttress American military strength with enhanced civilian tools and a restored network of solid alliances—both necessary to achieving defense in depth. The pandemic should serve as a reminder of what grief ensues when we wait for problems to come to us.

‘Deceitful Campaign Tactics to Manipulate Voters’: Democrats Aim to Create, Exploit Divisions Among GOP in Georgia Runoffs

Democrats from outside Georgia are actively engaged in an effort to create divisions among Republicans in the state.

The Democrats then intend to exploit those divisions to try to drive down turnout among President Donald Trump’s supporters in the runoff for the two U.S. Senate seats that will decide which party controls the upper chamber of Congress next year. Republicans, meanwhile, are pushing back on these efforts, calling them “deceitful campaign tactics” designed to “manipulate voters” in Georgia.

Really American PAC, a leftwing Super PAC that ran scores of attack ads against President Trump in the general election in 2020, is now crowdfunding on social media to fund billboards in Trump-supporter-heavy areas of Georgia to split Trump supporters from Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) and David Perdue (R-GA). Both GOP senators are headed to Jan. 5 runoffs in the state that will determine which party controls the U.S. Senate next year. As of now, next year Republicans will have 50 seats in the U.S. Senate and Democrats will have 48. These two seats will determine which party controls the Senate, and if the Democrats take both of them—and Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden is successful in challenges from President Donald Trump to election results that currently have Biden leading Trump—then the Democrats would gain control of the chamber as the would-be Vice President Kamala Harris, now a Democrat senator from California, would be the tie-breaking vote.

Buttigieg Campaign Office to Become Pole Dancing Studio

Pete Buttigieg’s former campaign headquarters in South Bend, Ind., has found a new tenant.

Soma Pole Studio is currently renovating the building, which will eventually include nine poles, and plans to start offering high-priced pole dancing classes in January 2021. . .

The studio’s location (and mere existence) is a fitting homage to Buttigieg’s legacy as the former mayor of South Bend. As mayor, Buttigieg was routinely criticized for fueling the town’s gentrification by encouraging upscale economic development at the expense of minorities and poorer residents. Giuliani Explains Why Trump Legal Team Split With Powell

Rudy Giuliani offered a brief explanation for why President Trump’s legal team parted ways with attorney Sidney Powell.

The former New York City mayor, who is leading the effort, was interviewed on Monday by Fox Business host Lou Dobbs, who asked why the team released a statement the day before about Powell.

“I think it’s because we’re pursuing two different theories,” Giuliani said. He said the Trump legal team is focused on “misconduct of the election” by state officials, which he argued deprived the constitutional rights of the president, and predicted that several prongs of their endeavor, including the legal fight in Pennsylvania, will make their way to the Supreme Court. . .

Powell, a former federal prosecutor like Giuliani, has made several unproven claims about voting machines switching millions of votes from Trump to President-elect Joe Biden, which have been denied by the voting machine companies. She has even called for criminal investigations into the matter. (Read more from “Giuliani Explains Why Trump Legal Team Split With Powell” HERE)

Poll: Nearly Half of Americans Support Trump Running in 2024

While President Donald Trump’s legal efforts to remain in the White House appear to be failing, a poll released Monday indicates that more than half of Americans are in favor of Trump running for president again in 2024.

Trump has claimed victory in the 2020 election although many media outlets have projected a win for President-elect Joe Biden. Trump has thus far refused to concede the election and has filed lawsuits in some battleground states alleging widespread electoral manipulation. For the most part, those lawsuits have been dismissed by judges. Some observers believe that Trump could mount another presidential campaign in 2024. According to a Hill-HarrisX daily poll published Monday, many Americans think Trump should follow through with those alleged plans.

According to the poll, 47 percent of registered voters support Trump running again in 2024. Republicans comprised a majority of that number with 75 percent backing a second Trump campaign. While only 24 percent of Democrats supported the idea, 47 percent of Independent voters gave the idea their support.

Voters who did not support a second Trump presidential run numbered 53 percent. Most of those voters—76 percent—were Democrats. However, 25 percent of those who did not think Trump should run again were Republicans. A majority of Independent voters were also against the idea, with 53 percent saying they were in opposition to the idea. CDC: First 20M COVID Vaccines Should Go to Healthcare Workers

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices said Monday that the first 20 million people to be vaccinated for COVID-19 in the United States should be healthcare workers.

The group stated in a new paper in the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report that “Published frameworks for COVID-19 allocation and ACIP discussions indicate a clear consensus that the first allocation of COVID-19 vaccine supplies should be directed to health care personnel.”

ACIP, which is working to decide how the coronavirus vaccine should be allocated, says that there are four groups that should be considered first for the vaccine: healthcare personnel, other essential workers, adults with high-risk health conditions, and adults aged 65 and older, including those in long-term care facilities. Joe Biden: Why Are Reporters Asking Me Questions? (VIDEO)

By The Federalist. Former Vice President Joe Biden isn’t used to getting real questions. On Friday, Biden appeared dumbfounded as to why a reporter was asking the projected Democratic presidential-elect a question as the press pool was being scurried away by staff.

“Mr. Biden, the COVID task force said it’s safe for students to be in class. Are you going to encourage unions to cooperate more to bring kids back to classrooms, sir?” asked CBS reporter Bo Erickson.

“Why are you the only guy that always shouts out questions?” Biden said.

It was a bizarre episode for the 78-year-old Democrat, who enjoyed the least amount of media scrutiny on the campaign trail of any modern candidate running for president. While serious revelations were emerging, revealing Biden’s role in his son’s potentially criminal overseas business dealings, reporters asked hard-hitting questions such as what kind of ice cream Biden purchased at a pit stop.

Biden Expected to Make Trip to Georgia to Stump for Ossoff, Warnock

By Fox News. President-elect Joe Biden will likely visit Georgia to boost campaign efforts for the two Democratic candidates in the January Senate runoff, according to his top aide.

The president-elect’s newly named Chief of Staff Ron Klain said on Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that Biden is likely to visit Georgia, as Democratic victories for both Senate candidates would result in a 50-50 split in the upper chamber of Congress.

“Winning those two Senate seats in Georgia is important, but we’re going to do everything we can to help those two … great candidates in Georgia,” Klain said. “We’ve already moved people who were working on the Biden campaign on the recounts down there over to be supportive in the field work for our two candidates down there, and I expect you’ll see the president-elect travel down there before Election Day.” (Read more from “Biden Expected to Make Trip to Georgia to Stump for Ossoff, Warnock” HERE)

Trump Pulls Out of Military Transparency Treaty

The Trump administration officially withdrew from the Open Skies Treaty, a 2002 agreement to promote military transparency signed by more than 30 countries including Russia.

The Department of State said Sunday that the U.S. had officially withdrawn from the Open Skies Treaty, which went into effect nearly two decades ago. President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo both announced on May 21 that the U.S. intended to exit the agreement, according to The Associated Press.

“The United States exercised its right pursuant to paragraph 2 of Article XV of the Treaty on Open Skies by providing notice to the Treaty Depositaries and to all States Parties of its decision to withdraw from the Treaty, effective six months from the notification date,” State Department spokesperson Cale Brown said in a statement Sunday.

Pompeo said that the continued U.S. involvement in Open Skies was untenable because of Russia’s continued violations of the treaty in a May statement. He added that the U.S. has consistently lived up to its commitments in the agreements.

“Russia’s implementation and violation of Open Skies, however, has undermined this central confidence-building function of the Treaty — and has, in fact, fueled distrust and threats to our national security — making continued U.S. participation untenable,” Pompeo said. Ben Carson: Trump Saved My Life After I Got COVID

On Friday, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson issued a statement thanking President Trump for saving his life after Carson and his wife contracted the coronavirus, writing: “I became desperately ill. President Trump was following my condition and cleared me for the monoclonal antibody therapy that he had previously received, which I am convinced saved my life.”

Carson, a world-famous neurosurgeon, had tested positive for the coronavirus earlier in November. On Friday, he wrote on Facebook:

Thank you everyone for your support and prayers as Candy and I battled COVID-19. I was extremely sick and initially took Oleander 4X with dramatic improvement. However, I have several co-morbidities and after a brief period when I only experienced minor discomfort, the symptoms accelerated and I became desperately ill. President Trump was following my condition and cleared me for the monoclonal antibody therapy that he had previously received, which I am convinced saved my life.

President Trump, the fabulous White House medical team, and the phenomenal doctors at Walter Reed have been paying very close attention to my health and I do believe I am out of the woods at this point. I am hopeful that we can stop playing politics with medicine and instead combine our efforts and goodwill for the good of all people. While I am blessed to have the best medical care in the world (and I am convinced it saved my life), we must prioritize getting comparable treatments and care to everyone as soon as possible.

There are a number of promising treatments that need to be tested, approved, and distributed (sooner rather than later) so that the economy can be re-opened and we can all return to a semblance of normalcy. Also, people should recognize that there are a number of defined steps that legally have to be taken before vaccines are released to the public and trying to cause alarm by saying dangerous shortcuts were taken only serves to stoke fear. Together we will be victorious. God is still in charge.
