America’s First Black Billionaire: No 2020 Democrat Can Beat Trump

BET founder Robert Johnson is not convinced any of the Democratic candidates seeking to face President Trump in 2020 has a shot at winning the White House.

Johnson, America’s first black billionaire and a lifelong Democrat, told CNBC that the Trump economy is strong and he has an ability “to dominate the news cycle” that makes it hard for his Democratic challengers to focus on substance.

“If you take a snapshot today, I don’t think that group is capable of beating Donald Trump despite what the polls say,” Johnson said.

“I do not see anybody in the Democratic primary race today that is enough in the center where I believe most of the voters are, and I particularly think where most of the African American voters are,” he added. Leftists Freak out over University Sting Operation from Obama Administration

The fake University of Farmington, set up by the Department of Homeland Security, that resulted in the arrest of 250 foreign students this year and prompted outrage from leftists, was a concept embraced by the Obama administration, which engaged in similar operations.

Leftists experienced a collective freakout this week after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of dozens of foreign nationals committing visa fraud by enrolling in the fake university. It was “part of a sting operation by federal agents who enticed foreign-born students, mostly from India, to attend the school that marketed itself as offering graduate programs in technology and computer studies,” the Detroit Free Press reported. . .

The news prompted wails from notable leftists. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) called the practice “cruel and appalling,” while Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) implied that the operation was an idea birthed by the Trump administration. . .

“Nobody cared then how we’d pay for it. Now ICE is setting up fake universities to trap students,” she claimed. “Yet we were called radical for opposing it”:

However, the practice was not a concept birthed by the Trump administration, despite the implications from the political left and Hollywood elite. Similar operations occurred under the Obama administration at the fake University of Northern New Jersey, established in 2013.

WATCH: Nadler Hits Trump and House Republicans with Deadline for Impeachment Participation

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler has set a December 6 deadline for President Donald Trump to declare whether his attorneys intend to participate in upcoming impeachment hearings.

Nadler gave the same deadline to the president’s attorneys and House Republicans to call new witnesses or introduce new evidence, according to a Friday report from Reuters.

Nadler informed both the president and the Judiciary Committee’s ranking member, Republican Georgia Rep. Doug Collins, that he would allow Republicans to participate in the upcoming hearings by calling witnesses, issuing subpoenas and giving presentations in accordance to the guidelines he provided. According to those guidelines, Nadler must first approve of any Republican subpoena requests.

Man Strangled College Student to Death Because She Ignored His Catcalls. Amazingly, Her Christian Family Says They ‘Hold No Hatred’ Toward the Killer

A man recently strangled a Chicago-area college student because she ignored his catcalls and unwanted advances, prosecutors say. The victim’s family is responding with almost unimaginable grace toward the killer.

Ruth George, 19, was found dead in her car at a campus parking garage at the University of Illinois at Chicago last Saturday. Donald Thurman, 26, was arrested the next day for committing the murder. He is a parolee who had been released from prison last December. . .

He then allegedly followed George to her car and catcalled her. After being ignored once again, Thurman put George in choke hold. Once she was unconscious, he dragged her into the backseat of her car, sexually assaulted her, and killed her. . .

George’s family said in a statement that they “hold no hatred” toward Thurman.

“Ruth lived out her deep faith in Jesus by loving and serving others, leaving a legacy of Christ-centered kindness and sacrifice,” the family said. “She was the beloved baby of our family. We grieve with hope. We hold no hatred towards the perpetrator, but our hope is no other girl would be harmed in this way and for a mother to never experience this type of heartache.” (Read more from “Man Strangled College Student to Death Because She Ignored His Catcalls. President Makes Surprise Thanksgiving Trip to Troops in Afghanistan; Trump Says Peace Talks With Taliban Have Resumed

By CBS News. President Trump showed up in Afghanistan on Thursday for a surprise Thanksgiving visit with troops engaged in America’s longest-ever military conflict. Mr. Trump arrived at Bagram Air Field shortly after 8:30 p.m. local time and spent more than two-and-a-half hours on the ground, speaking to troops and meeting with Afghanistan’s president.

Reporters were under strict instructions to keep the trip a secret to ensure his safety. Mr. Trump’s public schedule said he would be at Mar-a-Lago to host a videoconference call with troops. It’s his first trip to the country as president. While in Afghanistan, Mr. Trump said he hopes to bring the number of troops in Afghanistan down to 8,600 from the current 14,000. . .

During his whirlwind trip, the president served turkey to troops. Military personnel told reporters on the ground there were roughly 500 troops in the rooms where the president went.

“There’s nowhere I’d rather celebrate this Thanksgiving than right here with the toughest, strongest, best and bravest warriors on the face of the earth – you are indeed that,” the president told the troops. Trump Says Peace Talks With Taliban Have Resumed During Surprise Visit to Afghanistan

By Fox News. On a surprise trip to Afghanistan on Thursday, President Trump said that the United States has reopened peace talks with the Taliban – just three months after the president scuttled negotiations between Washington and the Afghan insurgents following a terror attack that killed 11 people, including one U.S. soldier.

Trump, who made his first trip to Afghanistan under a veil of secrecy for security reasons, told troops gathered at the Air Force base for Thanksgiving dinner that the Taliban “wants to make a deal very badly.”

“We’re going to stay until such time as we have a deal, or we have total victory, and they want to make to make a deal very badly,” Trump said. “The Taliban wants to make a deal — we’ll see if they make a deal. If they do, they do, and if they don’t they don’t. That’s fine.” . . .

The president arrived in Afghanistan just in time to serve troops Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. Standing alongside Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley, he dished out turkey to roughly two dozen troops at a dining facility decorated with red, orange and yellow Thanksgiving banners and tablecloths. Mulvaney, Barrasso, and O’Brien were also behind the counter.

“There’s nowhere I’d rather spend Thanksgiving than with the toughest, fiercest warriors,” Trump said. “I’m here to say Happy Thanksgiving and thank you very much. As president of the United States, I have no higher honor than serving as commander-in-chief.” (Read more from “Trump Says Peace Talks With Taliban Have Resumed During Surprise Visit to Afghanistan” HERE)

Alabama Supreme Court Upholds Law Protecting Confederate Monuments

The Alabama Supreme Court upheld a state law protecting Confederate monuments on Wednesday, ordering the city of Birmingham to remove panels it had placed in front of one.

The all-Republican court ruled in favor of the state, which had sued the majority-black city for placing plywood panels that blocked the inscriptions on a 52-foot tall obelisk for Confederate veterans, ABC News reported. The justices reversed a circuit judge’s ruling striking down the law and ordered the judge to fine the city $25,000.

The Jefferson County Circuit Court judge had decided in January that the Alabama law outlawing relocating, removing, changing or renaming buildings, streets and memorials that have been standing for more than 40 years violated free speech rights. . .

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, who had called for the repeal of the circuit judge’s decision, said the state supreme court made the “correct conclusion.” (Read more from “Alabama Supreme Court Upholds Law Protecting Confederate Monuments” HERE)

Clarence Thomas Hammers Biden Over Anita Hill Questions

Justice Clarence Thomas condemned his treatment by the Joe Biden-led Judiciary Committee during his confirmation to the Supreme Court in 1991.

Thomas, 71, was featured in a yet-to-be-released documentary in which he describes his chaotic confirmation to the court amid allegations from Anita Hill that he had sexually harassed her prior to his nomination. The justice denied ever sexually harassing anyone, but Hill’s accusations became the focus of his confirmation, similar to the confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh. . .

He told the filmmakers, “Do I have like stupid written on the back of my shirt? I mean come on. We know what this is all about. People should just tell the truth: ‘This is the wrong black guy; he has to be destroyed.’ Just say it. Then now we’re at least honest with each other. The idea was to get rid of me. And then, after I was there, it was to undermine me.”

Thomas noted that the Judiciary Committee under Biden’s leadership wanted to target him to protect the court’s ruling on Roe v. Wade. He didn’t mention Biden by name, but he highlighted Biden’s line of questioning about natural law during the hearings.

“I have no idea what he was talking about. I understood what he was trying to do. I didn’t really appreciate it,” he explained. “Natural law was nothing more than a way of tricking me into talking about abortion.” (Read more from “Clarence Thomas Hammers Biden Over Anita Hill Questions” HERE)

Poll: 42% of Young Americans, 19% of Republicans Would Vote for a Socialist President

A new poll indicates that 42% of young Americans and 19% of Republicans would support a socialist presidential candidate.

According to Rasmussen, 42% of people from ages 18 to 39 would support a socialist. Younger people are also twice as likely to think socialism is better than capitalism.

The poll also shows that almost 20% of Republican voters would vote for a socialist president.

“Forty-one percent (41%) of Democrats say they would vote for a presidential candidate who identifies himself or herself as a socialist, but only 19% of GOP voters and 16% of unaffiliateds agree,” the poll said. Al Sharpton Rejects Buttigieg Claim That Being Gay Is Like Being Black

Al Sharpton credited Sen. Kamala Harris for her criticism of Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s claim that he can better understand black Americans because he is gay.

Buttigieg, 37, has struggled to earn support from black voters in key early states like South Carolina during his presidential campaign. He has argued, however, that his sexuality helped him to understand the feeling of oppression often felt by black Americans because gay men have not always had equal rights either.

“While I do not have the experience of ever having been discriminated against because of the color of my skin, I do have the experience of sometimes feeling like a stranger in my own country, turning on the news and seeing my own rights come up for debate, and seeing my rights expanded by a coalition of people like me and people not at all like me,” Buttigieg said during the CNN debate earlier this month.

That argument has been destroyed by many prominent black Americans, including his 2020 Democratic competitor Harris. After the debate, she told CNN, “What he did on the stage, it’s just not productive, and I think it’s a bit naive.”

Sharpton, a racial activist and MSNBC host, commended Harris’s response, telling the Washington Post this week, “I think Kamala had a point, and I understood what she was saying.” He said he appreciates the effort Buttigieg is making in the black community and admitted that he is “evolving,” but said the South Bend, Indiana, mayor still has a long way to go.
