What Impeachment Exposed About Trump and 2020; Republicans Plan to Compel Whistleblower to Testify in Trump Senate Trial

By Townhall. . .Democrats cast President Trump as someone who is so self-driven that he’s attempting to subvert justice just to “win an election.” That his thirst for victory pulsates through his heart so obsessively that he would break laws to have foreign governments interfere in our process just so that he could beat a Democrat.

Yet here’s the unspoken truth: He doesn’t need to. . .

He is spending way less than any of the Democratic candidates at present, with hundreds of millions in cash on hand, ready to go to work when the time is right. But the truth is he’s had hundreds of millions in the bank since his victory in 2016. . .

In 2016 candidate Trump had no track record, but he had ideas, and he made promises. In 2020 he’s kept 87 of those promises, and he still has ideas not yet implemented.

In 2020 he will likely spend less money on media than his opponent. He will focus resources into going to meet voters at his enormous rallies. People will feel heard, they will look at his track record now, and will easily send him back to finish the fight. (Read more from “What Impeachment Exposed About Trump and 2020” HERE)

Republicans Plan to Compel Alleged Whistleblower Eric Ciaramella to Testify in Trump Senate Trial

By Washington Examiner. Republicans want to find a way to compel CIA officer and former National Security Council Ukraine director Eric Ciaramella to testify in the impeachment proceedings against President Trump.

Ciaramella, 33, currently working for the National Intelligence Council under the director of national intelligence, has been named as the Ukraine whistleblower. The whistleblower’s lawyers have refused to confirm or deny this, and Ciaramella himself has not responded to questions from the Washington Examiner.

The chief Republican counsel in the impeachment proceedings raised Ciaramella’s name during closed-door hearings. In open hearings, whenever GOP questioning had got close to Ciaramella or any other members of the Intelligence Community, Rep. Adam Schiff, the House Intelligence Committee chairman, shut them down.

Now, Republican members are arguing that Ciaramella’s past position as Ukraine director and his current work on Ukraine issues makes him a relevant witness, whether or not he is the whistleblower.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham told the Washington Examiner he could not imagine a Senate trial happening without the whistleblower testifying. (Read more from “Republicans Plan to Compel Alleged Whistleblower Eric Ciaramella to Testify in Trump Senate Trial” HERE)

Identity Revealed of FBI Anti-Trump Official Accused of Altering Document

Kevin Clinesmith is the lawyer accused of altering a document related to the FBI’s 2016 surveillance of the Trump campaign, according to The New York Times. Clinesmith stands accused of altering an email used by officials to continue a wiretap of former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page.

(Via The New York Times)

The email Mr. Clinesmith handled was a factor during the wiretap renewal process, according to the [people briefed on the soon-to-be-released draft of the Justice Department’s inspector general report on the origins of the Russia investigation]. Mr. Clinesmith took an email from an official at another federal agency that contained several factual assertions, then added material to the bottom that looked like another assertion from the email’s author, when it was instead his own understanding.

Mr. Clinesmith included this altered email in a package that he compiled for another F.B.I. official to read in preparation for signing an affidavit that would be submitted to the court attesting to the facts and analysis in the wiretap application.

The details of the email are apparently classified and may not be made public even when the report is unveiled.

Barr Concludes What Happened to Clinton Buddy Jeffrey Epstein

Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his cell not long after he was mysteriously taken off suicide watch, despite a recent attempt to take his own life this past summer. The guards watching him were rent-a-cop level, they falsified prison logs, and had fallen asleep on the job. Shrieks were heard near his cell the day he died. All of this is sketch city and for once, the conspiracy theory crowd was not dismissed. Epstein had ties to some of the most powerful and wealthiest people on the planet, including the Clintons. His private island was reportedly wired for sound; can you say blackmail tapes? And the search warrant executed for his New York residence yielded troves of incriminating evidence to back up the not-so-new allegations that he was a child predator. He was indicted for trafficking underage girls and other sex crimes. He escaped justice in early 2000s thanks to a sweetheart deal he cut with then-U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta, a piece of history that was resurrected by the Miami Herald which reported on Epstein’s plea deal which showcased what money and connections can afford you when you get into trouble. This legal arrangement cost Acosta his job as Trump’s labor secretary.

There were conflicting medical analyses as well. One saying that Epstein had killed himself, another that cast doubton that conclusion due to the wounds around his neck. The latter autopsy was conducted by Epstein’s brother who noted the neck injuries were more consistent with homicide than suicide. I mean all of this was just too good to be true. The man potentially had dirt on oodles of people; Epstein also had ties to the British Royal Family. Yet, Attorney General Barr now says that the events that occurred prior to Epstein’s death were a disaster, but that the child predator committed suicide (via NYT):

Attorney General William P. Barr said in an interview published on Friday that the death of Jeffrey Epstein, the financier accused of sex trafficking, in a secure federal prison resulted from “a perfect storm of screw-ups,” rather than any nefarious act.

Mr. Barr’s statement refuted suggestions from members of Mr. Epstein’s family that he may have been murdered. His remarks came the same week that two prison guards were criminally charged, accused in an indictment of failing to check on Mr. Epstein every half-hour as they were required to and then lying about it on prison logs.

Doctors Claim Julian Assange ‘Could Die in Prison’ Without Urgent Medical Care

Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, could die in prison if he does not receive urgent medical care, according to doctors in a letter sent to British authorities Monday.

Over 60 doctors have signed an open letter to UK Home Secretary Priti Patel expressing, “serious concerns about the physical and mental health of Julian Assange,” who is currently being held in a high security prison according to the Washington Post.

“It is our opinion that Mr. Assange requires urgent expert medical assessment of both his physical and psychological state of health,” the letter read. “Were such urgent assessment and treatment not to take place, we have real concerns, on the evidence currently available, that Mr. Assange could die in prison.” . . .

The authors of the letter are a coalition of doctors from from the United States, Britain, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Sri Lanka and Australia, telling the UK’s Home Secretary that Assange would not be fit to stand trial by next year.

The letter went on to state that the Wikileaks founder shows “symptoms of a torture victim” and suffers from “major depression” along with “progressive inflammation and stiffness affecting his right shoulder.” (Read more from “Doctors Claim Julian Assange ‘Could Die in Prison’ Without Urgent Medical Care” HERE)

Illegal Alien with Prior Criminal History Allegedly Kills Motorist While Illegally Driving Forklift

On November 17, Ulises Mondragon Umanzor, 30, an illegal alien from El Salvador, was arrested for allegedly running a stop sign while driving a forklift and fatally striking James Zakos, a 70-year-old Floridian, whose car had the right of way. Mondragon Umanzor reportedly failed to stop and return to the scene of the accident.

There are two important points in this case that should spawn a robust public policy debate on immigration enforcement: Mondragon Umanzor did not have either a valid driver’s license or a license to operate heavy machinery, and he had a history of trouble with the law on the roads. Had our laws been enforced, he shouldn’t have been able to get a job here, and he should have been deported on numerous occasions. He had been caught at least three times since 2011 driving without a license.

Earlier this year, Florida passed a law barring any potential “sanctuary” jurisdictions from ignoring ICE detainers on criminal aliens who pass through local jails. However, even jurisdictions that don’t thwart ICE could still do a lot more to prevent crime by illegal aliens if they would actively notify ICE upon the first infraction of an illegal alien they contact. As demonstrated by this case, illegal aliens are often caught for relatively minor driving infractions. Yet they are able to cycle in and out of the local court system without ever being turned over to ICE. That appears to be what happened in this case. Had the system been working the way it should, Zakos would still be alive.

Here is Mondragon Umanzor’s criminal history just from Palm Beach County:

On Sept. 12, 2011, Mondragon Umanzor was arrested in Palm Beach County for driving without a license and for driving with an open container of alcohol.

Just a few months later, in February 2012, he was caught again driving without a license.

On Nov. 4, 2012, he was arrested for possession of cocaine.

In Sept. 2016, he was caught driving without a license.

In May 2018, he was caught driving around a barricade, of course without a license. He accrued over $1,000 in outstanding debt to the court.

Why was someone like this never deported? In 2012, he was even pre-emptively suspended from having a license by the court, despite never having had one, all without anybody ever giving a thought to deporting him. While these seem like minor charges for which we wouldn’t lock up Americans too long, they can portend serious public danger and are all habitual crimes. As such, there’s no reason we should be taking chances with people who should be removed from the country anyway at the first sign of trouble.

It should be standard procedure that any time a resident interacts with police or with a court, he is asked a simple question: “Of which country are you a citizen?” Then, local cops should be required to notify ICE about anyone who does not answer, “The United States.” That way, we can ensure that this is the last act of reckless driving committed by this individual in the U.S.

In fact, police are already required to find out citizenship, ironically, for the good of the alien, pursuant to the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations (VCCR). Florida, like every state requires police to ascertain the country of citizenship in order to notify consular officials that a national of their country has been detained. Why doesn’t every every arrest or detention by police therefore preclude any situation where a foreign national is released without the federal government knowing about it?

So much crime could be prevented by following this simple international protocol. If it’s good enough for the sake of the alien to discover his citizenship status upon any arrest, it should be good enough for the security of our communities.

In September, another illegal alien in Palm Beach County was arrested for numerous child sex charges. As I noted at the time, given this man’s three arrests for driving without a license, the abuse of these children could have been avoided.

In addition to proactively requiring documentation of citizenship for any traffic citation or arrest, Florida officials have a golden opportunity to stop illegal alien crime by implementing mandatory E-Verify, a top agenda item pushed by Gov. Ron DeSantis in the upcoming legislative session. The other obvious question in the case of Mondragon Umanzor is how in the world was he working as a forklift driver when he had no driver’s license or license to operate machinery? The Miami Herald reports that he worked for a subcontractor of Skansa USA, listed as “Cast One” on the police report. While there are unanswered questions about how any individual with this man’s background could have a job driving heavy machinery, this is another example of how E-Verify would ensure dangerous individuals are not able to obtain jobs in this country at all.

As Florida prepares to debate mandatory E-Verify and the effect of illegal aliens on the wages of Floridian workers, one thing that ought not to be overlooked is the system’s effect on demagnetizing Florida as a destination for dangerous criminals. It’s not just a labor issue; it’s a public safety issue. Schiff Planning More Impeachment Hearings After Failing to Make His Case

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) says he’s planning a new round of impeachment hearings amid claims from Democrats and the media that House Democrats did not make their case for impeachment.

Over the weekend, The Daily Wire reported that vulnerable Democrats — and even left-leaning media stalwart, The New York Times — were questioning whether Democratic leadership should move forward on an impeachment vote, given that the House Intelligence Committee, led by Schiff, failed to do much more than establish circumstantial evidence of a possible quid pro quo agreement between the president and Ukrainian officials.

Vulnerable and moderate Democrats say the hearings, which produced little in the way of first-person testimony of President Donald Trump’s alleged “high crimes and misdemeanors,” and featured few big-name witnesses, are costing them support and could cost them key races. Independents are fleeing from the impeachment inquiry in droves and, for the first time since the hearings started, fewer than 50% of Americans believe the President should be impeached.

Furthermore, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who has been suspiciously absent these last two weeks, has refused to provide air support in toss-up races, and the Democratic National Committee isn’t matching the millions of dollars in advertising that Republicans plan to air over Thanksgiving and the holiday season, pushing against the Democrats’ message of presidential malfeasance.

To top it off, The New York Times questioned Schiff’s handling of the impeachment inquiry on Saturday, suggesting that the absence of major players from the witness stand shows Schiff is nervous about his own case. Supreme Court Blocks Dems’ Subpoena to Review Trump’s Financial Records

Late Monday evening the Supreme Court granted President Donald Trump’s request for an emergency injunction to block Congressional Democrats’ subpoena for the president’s financial records. The subpoena is put on hold until Trump files an appeal with the lower court by Dec. 5, The Washington Times reported.

What happens next will be determined by the lower court. If the court takes up the case, the injunction will remain in place and keep the House Democrats from obtaining the records as part of their impeachment probe. If the court decides not to hear the case, the injunction expires and Trump must turn the documents over to Democrats.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the Supreme Court justices wanted to make sure Trump’s challenge was filed quickly so a decision was made before the 2020 election.

The House Oversight Committee wants Mazars USA LLP, Trump’s accounting firm, to hand over financial documents – both personal and business related, from 2011 to the present. (Read more from “Supreme Court Blocks Dems’ Subpoena to Review Trump’s Financial Records” HERE)

Giuliani Claims to Have Decades of Evidence Relating to ‘Biden Family’ Corruption; Biden Says Trump Is Stoking ‘Same Anti-Semitic Bile’ as Nazis

By Daily Wire. On Saturday afternoon, former Mayor of New York City and President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani sent out a tweet seemingly meant to clarify his recent “insurance” remarks.

. . .On Saturday, Giuliani appeared on Fox News with anchor Ed Henry. During the segment, which largely focused on the ongoing impeachment inquiry, Henry asked Giuliani the following questions about his relationship with the president: “Have you talked to President Trump in the last week or two? Have you met with him? Are you still his counsel?”

[Giuliani noted] that he and the president “have a very, very good relationship,” . . .

During a recent telephone interview with The Guardian, Giuliani was asked if he was worried that President Trump might attempt to “throw him under a bus,” to which he replied: “I’m not, but I do have very, very good insurance. So if he does, all my hospital bills will be paid.”

Giuliani’s own attorney, who was on the call with his client, made sure to note that the insurance line was simply a joke. (Read more from “Giuliani Claims to Have Decades of Evidence Relating to ‘Biden Family’ Corruption” HERE)

‘I’m a Student of the Holocaust’: Biden Says Trump Is Stoking ‘Same Anti-Semitic Bile’ as Nazis

By Washington Examiner. 2020 Democratic front-runner Joe Biden claimed President Trump is creating similar conditions in the United States to those that existed in Nazi Germany leading up to the Holocaust.

“This is a guy who made a straight appeal for white supremacy. You saw those folks coming out of the fields out there in Charlottesville and everything since then, their veins bulging, the hate-spewing from them,” the former vice president said Sunday evening at a fundraiser in Providence, Rhode Island, according to a pool report by Donita Naylor of the Providence Journal.

“I’m a student of the Holocaust. Same anti-Semitic bile that was chanted in the streets in Germany in the 1930s,” he continued. “Same thing. Carrying Nazi flags and accompanied by the Ku Klux Klan.”

Biden has long claimed that a principle reason he decided to run for the White House a third time was because of the white supremacist protest dubbed the “United the Right” in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August 2017 that left one counter-protester dead and scores of others injured. ‘Nervous’ Leakers: Early Peak into DOJ Watchdog’s FISA Report Emboldens Trump Allies

The leaks came quickly after Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz announced his long-awaited report on alleged government surveillance abuses against a member of the Trump campaign would be released in a matter of weeks.

Contrary to the allegations often trumpeted by President Trump and his allies, reports from outlets such as the Washington Post and New York Times said the watchdog is expected to find political bias did not taint the Russia investigation, absolving top officials such as former FBI Director James Comey, Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, and special agent Peter Strzok on this matter.

Yes, missteps and lapses in judgment were made, but the most damning revelation pertains to an FBI lawyer, identified as Kevin Clinesmith, allegedly altering a document related to the wiretapping of onetime Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. A far cry from the “premeditated fraud” conspiracy pushed on a near-nightly basis by Fox News host Sean Hannity, Horowitz’s investigators determined Clinesmith’s actions did not taint the overall validity of a renewal application. Additionally, Horowitz determined the opening of the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign in July 2016 was justified.

None of this amounts to what Trump’s closest allies have hyped up for months: A concerted effort to monitor and undermine his 2016 campaign, particularly with how the FBI relied on an unverified dossier compiled by British ex-spy Christopher Steele to obtain the warrants to wiretap Page.

Democrats, fully engaged in an impeachment effort against Trump, have expressed little appetite to talk Horowitz’s report and counter Republican allegations of an effort to overthrow the president. “It looks like the evidence is going to show otherwise. It’s time for us to move on,” Rep. Eric Swalwell, a Democratic member of the House Intelligence Committee, said on Fox News Sunday. Agents Rescue Migrant from Drowning in Border River

Laredo Sector Border Patrol riverine agents rescued a migrant from possibly drowning in a creek near the Rio Grande. The migrant struggled to stay afloat after illegally entering the river to cross into the U.S.

A Laredo Sector Border Patrol patrolling the Chacon Creek area near the Rio Grande encountered a migrant who had difficulty staying afloat on the morning of November 20. The agent quickly called for assistance from a nearby marine unit boat crew, according to information obtained from Laredo Sector Border Patrol officials.

Laredo Sector Marine agents quickly responded and found the migrant having difficulty keeping his head above the swiftly moving current. The agents maneuvered their boat into position and pulled the man on board to keep him from drowning, officials stated.

Agents identified the migrant as a Mexican national. They said the man said he was attempting to return to Mexico when he had difficulty navigating the currents. Agents checked the man for medical distress and turned him over to land-based agents for processing. Officials said the Mexican national will be processed under U.S. Customs and Border Protection guidelines.

Later that day, agents assigned to the Highway 83 immigration checkpoint observed a blue tractor-trailer approaching for inspection. Agents questioned the driver and subsequently referred him to a secondary inspection station. As the driver moved forward, he failed to stop and drove approximately 100 yards beyond the checkpoint before stopping, officials reported. He jumped out of the tractor and fled on foot.
