SHOCK: Democrat Comes out Against Gun Control, Says It’s Not the Answer

Democrat Connor Lamb is holding firm in his belief that Congress doesn’t need to pass stricter gun control laws following the school shooting in Florida, insisting the best way to deter these kinds of horrific events is to enforce the laws on the books.

The stance puts Mr. Lamb in line with President Trump and the candidate’s Republican rival Rick Saccone in the special congressional race here in western Pennsylvania, which is doubling as the first electoral test of post-Florida gun politics . . .

“No parent should ever drop their child off at school and be afraid they won’t be alive at the end of the day,” Mr. Lamb said. “My heart breaks for those families in Florida and, in Congress, I will work to make sure that people with serious mental illnesses do not have access to guns.”

Mr. Lamb said more money needs to be invested in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and enforcing the background check system.

He said he would be willing to look at proposals aimed at strengthening the system, including closing the gun show “loophole” and expanding firearm background checks in internet sales, but said the focus should be on mental health. Trump Spanks Politicized FBI: Too Busy With Russia Probe to Act on Obvious School Shooter Tips

Fresh off a hospital visit to victims wounded in the Florida school shooting this week, President Donald Trump on Saturday night slammed the FBI, saying the bureau “missed all of the many signals” sent by the shooter because it was “spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.”

Trump said on Twitter: “This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign – there is no collusion. Get back to the basics and make us all proud!”

In the aftermath of the tragic shooting at a Florida high school which left 17 dead and 14 wounded, it was revealed that the FBI had been warned five months ago about the shooter, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz.

A video blogger on YouTube notified the FBI in September about an alarming comment on a video he’d posted. “Im going to be a professional school shooter,” read the comment left by a user with the name Nikolas Cruz — the same name of the now-confessed shooter.

But on Thursday, the FBI agent in charge of the Florida shooting probe said the Bureau (make sure you’re sitting down for the next part) could not identify the person who left the comment. (Read more from “Trump Spanks FBI: Too Busy With Russia Probe to Act on School Shooter Tips” HERE)

Olympic Skater Who Attacked Pence Just Got Hired by NBC

A U.S. Olympic figure skater who criticized Vice President Mike Pence in January just got hired on as an NBC correspondent for the remainder of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

On Sunday, NBC spokesperson Greg Hughes revealed to USA Today that Rippon will serve as a network correspondent on a variety of different mediums from television to social media.

While it is not uncommon for the network to hire athletes as correspondents during the Olympics, the addition of Rippon is notable due to his past criticisms of the vice president.

As reported by CNN Money, Rippon, an openly gay athlete, was critical of Pence’s past as governor of Indiana when he signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

The act allowed businesses in the state of Indiana to refuse service to gay and lesbian customers on the grounds of religious freedoms protected under the First Amendment.

In a January interview, Rippon was asked for his thoughts on Pence leading the 2018 U.S. Olympic delegation to South Korea.

“You mean Mike Pence, the same Mike Pence that funded gay conversion therapy? I’m not buying it,” Rippon said.

He added: “I don’t think he has a real concept of reality. To stand by some of the things that Donald Trump has said and for Mike Pence to say he’s a devout Christian man is completely contradictory.”

The figure skater’s statements prompted a response from Pence’s press secretary Alyssa Farah who claimed that Rippon’s statements were “totally false” and had “no basis in fact.”

Rippon responded to the press secretary’s comments with a tweet showing quotes from the then-governor’s campaign website.

As noted by The Indianapolis Star, the last line was the most controversial as LGBTQ activists believed it to mean that Pence supports gay conversion therapy.

Rippon went on to note in a series of tweets that he has “nothing to say” to the vice president, and that Pence “has had little effect” on his life.

“I didn’t speak up for myself, I spoke up because it’s important to give a voice to those who feel they don’t have one.”Rippon’s accusations reportedly led to an offer being extended by the vice president’s camp to meet with the Olympic skater, according to David Baden, Rippon’s agent.

“That was 100 percent true,” Baden told USA Today’s, Christine Brennan. “We were contacted by the appropriate channels that the vice president wanted to talk to Adam.”

Pence took the high road in the situation and posted a tweet wishing Rippon well in the Olympics, according to The Western Journal.

But after the opening ceremony, Rippon and slopestyle skier Gus Kenworthy, an openly gay athlete as well, posted a photo on Instagram of the two hugging each other. However, the photo was also used as an opportunity to take another swipe at Pence.

The caption under the photo read: “I feel incredibly honored to be here in Korea competing for the US and I’m so proud to be representing the LGBTQ community alongside this amazing guy! Eat your heart out, Pence.”

Pence didn’t provide a response to the photo. (For more from the author of “Olympic Skater Who Attacked Pence Just Got Hired by NBC” please click HERE)

Trump’s Anger Boils over with Russia Probe

President Trump vented his anger with the Russia investigation late Saturday night and Sunday morning, declaring that “they are laughing their asses off in Moscow” over the ongoing probe into Moscow’s interference in the 2016 election.

In a remarkable burst of tweets sent from his Mar-a-Lago resort, the president blamed the Obama administration for not doing enough to deter Russia and claimed he never denied the meddling took place — all while undercutting his own national security adviser who said Saturday that the interference is now “beyond dispute.”

“If it was the GOAL of Russia to create discord, disruption and chaos within the U.S. then, with all of the Committee Hearings, Investigations and Party hatred, they have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams,” Trump tweeted just after 8 a.m. “They are laughing their asses off in Moscow. Get smart America!”

The tweets revealed the depth of Trump’s frustration following special counsel Robert Mueller’s indictment of more than a dozen Russians accused of meddling in the 2016 election in an effort to boost Trump’s campaign . . .

The president has not criticized Russia for its election-meddling scheme, opting to focus on the ways he believes Mueller’s indictment exonerates his campaign from colluding with the Kremlin. (Read more from “Trump’s Anger Boils over with Russia Probe” HERE)

Business Threatened for Flag Supporting Cops

A Cherokee Antique Row business owner says she and others in the area are being harassed for displaying flags supporting police on their storefronts.

Cherri Elder owns Elder’s Antiques, a family owned and operated business that has been open for 32 years . . .

She’s formed relationships with the police that patrol the area and wanted to offer her support by displaying an American flag with a thin blue line in front of her store . . .

A month later she found a handwritten letter posted on the front window of her shop that read:

“Pig supporters not welcome. Flag goes down or you go down.” (Read more from “Business Threatened for Flag Supporting Cops” HERE)

Man Jailed for Jihad Now Writes for Washington Post

Employed as a communications specialist for the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Washington, D.C., police stopped Randall “Ismail” Royer for a traffic violation in September 2001.

The officers found in Royer’s automobile an AK-47-style rifle and 219 rounds of ammunition. Two years later, Royer was indicted along with 10 others for conspiring to levy war against the United States and to provide material support to al-Qaida. For agreeing to cooperate with the government, he pleaded guilty to lesser weapons and explosives charges, and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Now, released after serving nearly 14 years of his sentence, Royer, an American convert to Islam, says he is a changed man and rejects terrorism.

The Washington Post gave Royer space to write a column this month, noting in his bio he serves as a research and program associate at the Religious Freedom Institute in Washington. Since his release from prison in December 2016, the Post said, he has “worked in the nonprofit sector developing strategies to promote religious liberty and undermine extremist ideology.”

A feature by Quartz magazine in May 2017 said Royer’s goal now is “to fight fanatical ideologies, such as those held by extremist groups like ISIL and al-Qaeda.” (Read more from “Man Jailed for Jihad Now Writes for Washington Post” HERE)

U.S. Military Will Have More Robots Than Humans by 2025

While cyborg soldiers and fully automated weapons have long been fodder for futuristic sci-fi thrillers, they are now a reality and, if the Pentagon gets its way, will soon become the norm in the U.S. military. As Defense One reported last Thursday, the Army had just concluded a live-fire exercise using a remote-controlled ground combat vehicle complete with a fully automated machine gun. The demonstration marked the first time that the Army has used a ground robot providing fire in tandem with human troops in a military exercise and, as Defense One noted, “it won’t be the last.”

Indeed, last week’s exercise represents just the latest step in the Pentagon’s relatively quiet tip-toe into converting the U.S. Armed Forces to a machine-majority force. Faced with low recruitment and an increased demand for soldiers, the Department of Defense is seeking to solve that problem altogether while also increasing the military’s firepower and force in combat.

Though unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), better known as drones, are the most well known of these devices, the Pentagon has been investing heavily — for decades — in a cadre of military robots aimed at dominating air, sea, and land. In 2010, the Pentagon had already invested $4 billion in research programs into “autonomous systems” and, since then, its research wing — Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, better known as DARPA — has been spending much of its roughly $3 billion annual budget funding robotic research intended for use in military applications. Five Major Revelations the Mainstream Media Is Ignoring About the Florida Shooting

One of the deadliest school shootings in American history took place this week in Parkland, Florida and the suspected gunman has since confessed to this most heinous act. As details unfold, however, the mainstream media is failing to ask the hard questions which need to be answered.

While the media frantically attempts to use Nikolas Cruz to push their political agenda, bombshell revelations are being ignored, perhaps deliberately.

While corporate media continues to use this incident to ram divide down society’s throat and push for gun confiscation, those of us in the alternative media world are asking questions that matter. The Free Thought Project has compiled a list of five major details about the shooting that took place Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School that the media is conveniently choosing to ignore.

5. Cruz was reportedly taking antidepressants

In a likely attempt to protect their corporate sponsors in the pharmaceutical industry, the fact that Cruz’s family told reporters that he was on medication for depression has managed to remain all but a blip in the mainstream.

As TFTP reported, the people who knew Cruz described him as a troubled teenager who was adopted when he was young and then was forced to move in with a friend after both of his adopted parents died. Jim Lewis, an attorney for the family that gave Cruz a place to live after his mother died in November, told The Washington Post that they knew Cruz was depressed, but they believed he taking steps to manage his depression.

Family member Barbara Kumbatovich told the Herald, “she believed Nikolas Cruz was on medication to deal with his emotional fragility.” She was a sister-in-law of Lynda Cruz, the suspect’s mother, and she also told the Sun-Sentinel that she believes Nikolas has been on medications for several months.

“I know she had been having some issues with them, especially the older one. He was being a problem. I know he did have some issues and he may have been taking medication. [He] did have some kind of emotional or difficulties,” Kumbatovich said.

The reason this information is so important is that the side effects of some of these medications are known to make people violent and suicidal.

Some of the side effects of antidepressants include aggression, agitation, changes in behavior, hallucinations, suicidal thoughts — and homicidal ideation.

4. Cruz warned that he was going to shoot up a school and kill people and the FBI did nothing.

“I’m going to be a professional school shooter,” A YouTube user named Nikolas Cruz commented on a video on Sept. 24, 2017. The video was posted on the channel “Ben The Bondsman,” and the owner, Ben Bennight, immediately took a screenshot and submitted it to the FBI.

Bennight told Buzzfeed News that the bureau was quick to respond, and agents from the Mississippi field office conducted an in-person interview with him the next day.

“They came to my office the next morning and asked me if I knew anything about the person,” Bennight said. “I didn’t. They took a copy of the screenshot and that was the last I heard from them.”

As TFTP reported, there have been multiple incidents in which people have been arrested for making far less serious statements online. Now, the FBI is claiming that with all their resources—including having his full name and IP address from YouTube—that they couldn’t find Cruz after he made those comments.

On top of saying he was going to shoot up a school, seven months ago, Cruz wrote, “I am going to kill law enforcement one day they go after the good people,” in the comments section of a video clip from the NatGeo show “Alaska State Troopers: Armed and Dangerous” that was posted on YouTube.

Then six months ago, he commented on a YouTube video titled, “Antifa Gun Club,” writing, “Im going watch them sheep fall f*ck antifa i wish to kill as many as i can.”

In spite of threatening to kill people—a blatant violation of the law— there were no arrests, no questions, and Cruz was left alone. All of this is in spite of the fact that people have been kidnapped and thrown in cages for merely criticizing the police.

3. There were reports of multiple shooters

In one chilling account, a high school student not only told reporters that she witnessed multiple shooters, but she also explained how she was talking to the suspect, Nikolas Cruz, as she heard rounds being fired down the hall.

Alexa Miednik told KHOU-TV journalist Matt Musil: “The fire alarm went off and the principal came on the speaker saying ‘everybody needs to evacuate right now,’ so that’s what I did.”

“As I was going down the stairs I heard a couple of shots fired, everybody was freaking out saying that it was a gun,” explained Miednik.

“As we were walking, the whole class together, I actually was speaking to the suspect Nikolas Cruz,” said Miednik, as she made quotes with her fingers when saying ‘suspect’.

“So, you were walking down the hall with him?” asks the reporter. “Weren’t you scared?”

“In the moment I wasn’t,” replied Miednik. “because there was obviously…definitely another shooter involved.”

“Oh, you think he was not the only one?” asks the surprised reporter.

“No, definitely not,” replied Miednik.

“Why do you say that?” the reporter asked.

“Because when shots were fired, I saw him after the fact. The shots were coming from the other part of the building. So, there definitely had to be two shooters involved,” she explained.

2. Students reported that they were having active shooter drills that day

It has not been confirmed that a drill was planned—other than a fire drill that morning—but students said they’d heard a ‘rumor’ that they would have to take part in a ‘code red’ practice exercise.

“I thought, ‘I don’t know if this is real or fake,’” Kelsey Friend explained to CNN.

“We had rumors going around the school that police would do a fake code red with fake guns but sounding real,” Friend explained to reporters. “I thought, at the beginning that this was all a drill…until I saw my teacher dead on the floor.”

Another student, Will Gilroy, reportedly said that students at the high school in were told there would be an active shooter drill at their school this week. He said that’s why students thought they were participating in a drill when they were evacuating.

1. The random association with the white nationalist group that wasn’t true

The biggest story of the day on the internet yesterday was, according to the NY Times, that Jordan Jereb, a leader of a white supremacist group based in North Florida, told The Associated Press that Mr. Cruz had joined their group.

But later Jereb would say that he did not know whether that was true. While the association was pushed on every outlet across the world, his retraction was conveniently ignored by the rest of the media. Why, exactly, this man would go out of his way to associate his group with a mass shooter only to retract it hours later remains a mystery.

However, the effect in the media was clear: distract and divide. (For more from the author of “Five Major Revelations the Mainstream Media Is Ignoring About the Florida Shooting” please click HERE)

General Flynn Should WITHDRAW His Guilty Plea. His New Judge Is a Government Misconduct Expert

Extraordinary manipulation by powerful people led to the creation of Robert Mueller’s continuing investigation and prosecution of General Michael Flynn. Notably, the recent postponement of General Flynn’s sentencing provides an opportunity for more evidence to be revealed that will provide massive ammunition for a motion to withdraw Flynn’s guilty plea and dismiss the charges against him.

It was Judge Rudolph Contreras who accepted General Flynn’s guilty plea, but he suddenly was recused from the case. The likely reason is that Judge Contreras served on the special court that allowed the Federal Bureau of Investigation to surveil the Trump campaign based on the dubious FISA application. Judge Contreras may have approved one of those four warrants.

he judge assigned to Flynn’s case now is Emmet G. Sullivan. Judge Sullivan immediately issued what is called a “Brady” order requiring Mueller to provide Flynn all information that is favorable to the defense whether with respect to guilt or punishment. Just today, Mueller’s team filed an agreed motion to provide discovery to General Flynn under a protective order so that it can be reviewed by counsel but not disclosed otherwise.

This development is huge. Prosecutors almost never provide this kind of information to a defendant before he enters a plea — much less after he has done so. This is one of myriad problems in our justice system. As Judge Jed Rakoff wrote several years ago, people who are innocent enter guilty pleas every day. They simply can no longer withstand the unimaginable stress of a criminal investigation. They and their families suffer sheer exhaustion in every form — financial, physical, mental, and emotional. Add in a little prosecutorial duress — like the threat of indicting your son — and, presto, there’s a guilty plea.

Judge Sullivan is the perfect judge to decide General Flynn’s motion. The judicial hero of my book, Emmet Sullivan held federal prosecutors in contempt for failing to disclose evidence, dismissed the corrupted prosecution of Alaska Senator Ted Stevens and appointed a special prosecutor to investigate the Department of Justice. BOMBSHELL: Special Counsel Says No American Knowingly Involved in Russian Interference

In a statement that is sending shockwaves through the political world, a spokesman for General Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe announced on Friday that the counsel’s 37-page indictment of Russians and Russian entities for interference in U.S. elections does not contain any allegation against any American for knowingly participating in the meddling.

“There is no allegation in this indictment that any American was a knowing participant in this illegal activity,” Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said at a press conference on Friday . . .

“There is no allegation in the indictment that the charged conduct altered the outcome of the 2016 election,” Rosenstein told reporters . . .

Rosenstein made the comment in response to one reporter asking him about references to the Trump campaign in the indictment. “On page four of the indictment, paragraph six, it specifically talks about the Trump campaign, saying that defendants communicated with unwitting individuals associated with the Trump campaign,” said the reporter. “My question is later in the indictment, campaign officials are referenced not by their name, by campaign official one or two or three. Were campaign officials cooperative or were they duped? What was their relationship with this?”

“There is no allegation in the indictment that any American was a knowing participant in the alleged unlawful activity,” Rosenstein responded. “There is no allegation in the indictment that the charged conduct altered the outcome of the 2016 election.” (Read more from “BOMBSHELL: Special Counsel Says No American Knowingly Involved in Russian Interference” HERE)
