Why Would Obama Allow His Daughter to Intern for a Sexual Predator? Michelle Praises Him as a ‘Wonderful Human Being’

By Danielle Burgos. As news breaks on media mogul Harvey Weinsten’s alleged sexual harassment stretching back decades, it’s alarming to think how many women may have passed through the doors of what accusers claim was a toxic work environment. One young lady who just added The Weinstein Company to their resume? Malia Obama, Barack and Michelle’s eldest daughter. When Malia Obama worked for Harvey Weinstein, she was 18. To be clear, Obama is not one of the women accusing Weinstein of sexual harassment. A statement from Weinstein’s lawyer to The New York Times states, “He denies many of the accusations as patently false.” Weinstein also released a longer statement to the Times that said in part:

“I appreciate the way I’ve behaved with colleagues in the past has caused a lot of pain, and I sincerely apologize for it. Though I’m trying to do better, I know I have a long way to go.” . . .

EARLIER: Page Six first reported Malia Obama’s internship back on January 19, 2017 as unconfirmed rumor, but the very next day, The Hollywood Reporter officially confirmed Obama had secured an internship. This isn’t the first brush the Obamas have had with Weinstein. In 2011, Weinstein held a lavish, star-studded fundraiser for Obama’s 2012 presidential run at the exec’s Westport, CT mansion, and donated over $28,500 indirectly to Obama’s 2008 campaign through the DNC and their White House Victory Fund. According to Deadline: Hollywood, Weinstein praised Obama at the time, saying “You can make the case that he’s the Paul Newman of American presidents.” (Read more from “Why Would Obama Allow His Daughter to Intern for a Sexual Predator? Michelle Obama Praised Harvey Weinstein as a ‘Wonderful Human Being’

By Fox News. Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein will reportedly be suspended from his film company pending an internal probe into multiple sexual harassment claims.

This comes after The New York Times reported Thursday that Weinstein has reached at least eight legal settlements with women over alleged harassment.

In the wake of these allegations, a video is making the rounds, showing former First Lady Michelle Obama praising Weinstein as a “wonderful human being” and a “good friend” at a student film symposium in 2013.

“I want to start by thanking Harvey Weinstein for organizing this amazing day,” Obama said at the Careers in Film Symposium at the White House. “This is possible because of Harvey. He is a wonderful human being, a good friend and just a powerhouse.”

“And the fact that he and his team took the time to make this happen for all of you should say something not about me or about this place, but about you,” she continued.

Harvey Weinstein Paid off Sexual Harassment Accusers for Decades

By The New York Times. Two decades ago, the Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein invited Ashley Judd to the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel for what the young actress expected to be a business breakfast meeting. Instead, he had her sent up to his room, where he appeared in a bathrobe and asked if he could give her a massage or she could watch him shower, she recalled in an interview . . .

In 2014, Mr. Weinstein invited Emily Nestor, who had worked just one day as a temporary employee, to the same hotel and made another offer: If she accepted his sexual advances, he would boost her career, according to accounts she provided to colleagues who sent them to Weinstein Company executives. The following year, once again at the Peninsula, a female assistant said Mr. Weinstein badgered her into giving him a massage while he was naked, leaving her “crying and very distraught,” wrote a colleague, Lauren O’Connor, in a searing memo asserting sexual harassment and other misconduct by their boss . . .

An investigation by The New York Times found previously undisclosed allegations against Mr. Weinstein stretching over nearly three decades, documented through interviews with current and former employees and film industry workers, as well as legal records, emails and internal documents from the businesses he has run, Miramax and the Weinstein Company.

During that time, after being confronted with allegations including sexual harassment and unwanted physical contact, Mr. Weinstein has reached at least eight settlements with women, according to two company officials speaking on the condition of anonymity. U.S. State Can Now Jail People for Misusing Gender Pronouns

California can now start jailing people that refuse to use the preferred gender pronouns of nursing home residents after Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown signed the bill Thursday.

The law’s effect is limited to nursing homes and other long-term care facilities, but mandates that those who “willfully and repeatedly” refuse “to use a transgender resident’s preferred name or pronouns” can be slapped with a $1,000 fine and up to one year in prison, according to the California Heath and Safety code.

Known as the “LGBT Senior Bill Of Rights,” the legislation also requires nursing homes and care facilities to allow residents to use the bathroom of their choice, regardless of biological sex. The bill’s author, state Sen. Scott Weiner, argues that religious views don’t hold weight in public areas.

“Everyone is entitled to their religious view,” Wiener said. “But when you enter the public space, when you are running an institution, you are in a workplace, you are in a civil setting, and you have to follow the law.” (Read more from “U.S. State Can Now Jail People for Misusing Gender Pronouns” HERE)

People Mag in Hot Water Over Fake Story About Fake Vegas Victim

People magazine has deleted a story about a Las Vegas shooting victim who doesn’t appear to exist.

The magazine ran a story on Wednesday about a terminally ill man, Larry Parra, who they claimed was among the 58 people killed in the mass shooting in Las Vegas last Sunday. The story, was based entirely off the account of one alleged eyewitness, Jason Rogers.

The photos that Rogers provided of “Larry Parra” are actually photos of Rogers’ husband, Mic reported.

Rogers claimed to have been at the Las Vegas concert with Parra, only to have gotten separated shortly before the shooting started.

“I heard the shots, and after I got up from the ground from ducking I went to try and find Larry,” Rogers told People. “I didn’t want to leave him because he is a very dear and close friend.” (Read more from “People Mag in Hot Water Over Fake Story About Fake Vegas Victim” HERE)

Authorities Uncover ISIS Plot Against NYC

A plot inspired by ISIS aiming to kill “thousands” in New York City’s Times Square during the 2016 celebration of Ramadan was disrupted before it could occur, the Justice Department announced Friday.

Although the plotters were discovered in 2016, the charges against them were not made public until Friday.

The plot was foiled when the three men gave the details of their plans to attack Times Square, concert venues, the subway and other landmarks to an undercover agent, according to a statement from the Justice Department.

Officials said three men were arrested: Abdulrahman El Bahnasawy, 19, of Mississaugua, Canada; Talha Haroon, 19, a U.S. citizen of Pakistani heritage, and Russell Salic, 37, a Philippine citizen. They all face terror-related charges, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Joon H. Kim.

El Bahnasawy was arrested on May 21, 2016, in Cranford, New Jersey. The Justice Department said he had “purchased bomb-making materials and helped secure a cabin within driving distance of New York City to use for building the explosive devices and staging the NYC attacks.”

Haroon was arrested in Pakistan. Salic was arrested in the Philippines.

The Justice Department said it monitored the electronic communications of the plotters. Haroon reportedly told an undercover agent that Times Square was “a perfect spot to hit them” and suggested the plan could include a “(d)rive-by, or we surround the whole street and trap them and kill as many as possible.”

El Bahnasawy told the undercover agent that they “seriously need a car bomb at Times Square. Look at these crowds of people!”

He also proposed that he and his co-conspirators “shoot up concerts cuz they kill a lot of people.”

“(W)e just walk in with guns in our hands. That’s how the Paris guys did it,” he said.

The Justice Department reported that Haroon told the undercover agent that “NY Needs to fall. It’s a must.” He also discussed a subway attack targeting “women or kids,” adding that “when we run out of bullets we let the vests go off.”

“I wanna kill . . . them in thousands” he allegedly told the undercover agent. “We have to make a ocean out of their blood .. leave no one standing.”

Salic also told then agent “(i)t would be a great pleasure if we can slaughter” people in New York City.”

According to the Justice Department’s report, the attack was initially planned for around Memorial Day. (For more from the author of “Authorities Uncover ISIS Plot Against NYC” please click HERE)

‘Walking Dead’ Actor Attacked for ‘Blue Lives Matter’ Shirt

One of the leading actors of The Walking Dead — a post-apocalyptic zombie series — has left controversy in the wake of an Instagram post.

Jeffery Dean Morgan posted a photo to social media that showed him wearing a Blue Lives Matter shirt, in honor the “two GOOD cops in NY” that were killed in 2014.

“This shirt was given to me at a convention by a woman, whose son, was shot during what was a routine traffic stop. He was black.”

Morgan is referring to the deaths of NYPD officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos. Their murder was committed in retribution over perceived police brutality that those in the Black Lives Matter movement have also raised concern over.

The shooter wrote on Facebook, ““I’m Putting Wings on Pigs Today. They Take 1 of Ours . . . . .Let’s Take 2 of Theirs.”

Black Lives Matter’s leadership is currently being sued over a similar case of murder committed against police officers, in Baton Rouge and other locations.

Yet, Black Lives Matter proponents have interpreted Morgan’s statement as one against black people, instead of in support of police victims. And many voiced their opinion on the matter.

One Twitter user wrote: “not only is jeffrey dean morgan an alm supporter, he went full on blue lives matter what an ugly old cow can’t say i’m surprised.” The user is referring to the movement “all lives matter.”

Another user wrote: “I’m not surprised Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a blue lives matter person. He plays assholes a little too well.”

Amid the criticism, Morgan didn’t back down, but posted a follow-up which read: “Dear a-holes. Blue lives do matter. Can’t believe I need to explain to you this fact. All lives matter. All of em.”

Morgan has repeatedly insisted that many have misinterpreted his statement: “I stand behind the sentiment… but, what was meant as one thing has been taken as another. I understand those that are upset… and to those people I apologise.”

However, in light of his fans’ criticism Morgan sought to clarify his position: “Of course black lives matter. I stand behind that. Always have.”

“This country means the world to me.” Morgan added, “The good people in it mean the world to me… the ones looking for a fight around every corner? Racists? Bullies? They don’t.”

“We are a country divided and it’s getting scarier every day.” (For more from the author of “‘Walking Dead’ Actor Attacked for ‘Blue Lives Matter’ Shirt” please click HERE)

FBI Warns: More Violence From ‘Black Identity Extremist’

The FBI Counterterrorism Division warned about the potential violence that could come from members of “Black Identity Extremists” (BIE), according to a document obtained by Foreign Policy.

The Aug. 3 document warns of the potential violence that members of the BIE movement could possibly perform against American law enforcement officers, Foreign Policy reported Friday.

“The FBI assesses it is very likely Black Identity Extremist (BIE) perceptions of police brutality against African Americans spurred an increase in premeditated, retaliatory lethal violence against law enforcement and will very likely serve as justification for such violence,” the document read. Foreign Policy notes that the document was marked for official use. (Read more from “FBI Warns: More Violence From ‘Black Identity Extremist'” HERE)

Police ‘Confident’ No One Else in Shooter’s Room Before Las Vegas Attack

Investigators are “confident” that no one else entered the Las Vegas hotel suite before a gunman opened fire on a crowd of thousands of concertgoers, killing 58 people in the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Undersheriff Kevin McMahill said Friday in an interview that police don’t believe anyone entered the room at Mandalay Bay prior to the shooting carried out by Stephen Paddock Sunday night.

Earlier, senior law enforcement sources said investigators were puzzled by a charger that did not appear to match any of Paddock’s cellphones. Police have now been able to match all of the cell phone chargers found in the room with multiple cell phones that Paddock had with him.

“He was the only shooter; I’m very confident of that,” McMahill said. “I’m also confident that there were no other people in the room leading up to this event.”

A motive in the shooting remains elusive. “This agency wants to give answers. We owe it to the victims and the victims’ families,” McMahill said. “It’s really a frustrating piece of this investigation.” (Read more from “Police ‘Confident’ No One Else in Shooter’s Room Before Las Vegas Attack” HERE)

Billionaire Pedophile Who Videoed Powerful Politicians Having Sex With Children Pays Millions to Settle Suits

By Lia Eustachewich. Billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein paid $5.5 million to settle lawsuits filed by three of the more than two dozen teens who sued him, according to a new report.

Epstein — who was accused of recruiting dozens of underage girls as sex slaves for his wealthy pals — paid $1 million to victim L.M., $2 million to E.W. and $2.5 million to Jane Doe, the Palm Beach Post reported.

The settlement details were disclosed as part of an ongoing feud between Epstein and lawyers Bradley Edwards and Scott Rothstein.

Rothstein is serving a 50-year sentence for running a $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme. Epstein had sued the Florida attorneys, claiming Edwards — the lawyer who filed suits on behalf of some of Epstein’s accusers — fabricated the sex-slave allegations in order to perpetuate Rothstein’s Ponzi scheme. Woman Who Says She Was Jeffrey Epstein’s Sex Slave Settles Suit

By Kaja Whitehouse. On the eve of trial, a woman who said she was a sex slave of Jeffrey Epstein settled her defamation lawsuit against the billionaire perv’s former girlfriend, British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell.

The amount of the settlement was undisclosed, but Virginia Giuffre — who claims Maxwell lured her into Epstein’s harem when she was a teenager — said she is “pleased” with the result.

Giuffre sued Maxwell in Manhattan federal court in 2015 for publicly denying that she procured Giuffre for Epstein when she was underage and called Virginia Roberts.

The May 25-scheduled trial was expected to be a show-stopper, with testimony about private planes and rendezvous with wealthy and connected people, including Epstein’s pal Prince Andrew. (Read more from “Woman Who Says She Was Jeffrey Epstein’s Sex Slave Settles Suit” HERE)
