Dems Step up Efforts to Impeach Trump

Despite Democratic leadership’s request for its lawmakers to tone down talks of impeachment, 25 House members are crafting a bill that would create an “oversight” commission that has the power to declare the president incapacitated.

According to Maryland Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin — who is spearheading the efforts — they would then be able to effectively remove President Donald Trump from office under the 25th Amendment, Yahoo News first reported.

“In case of emergency, break glass,” he told the publication in an interview. “If you look at the record of things that have happened since January, it is truly a bizarre litany of events and outbursts.”

The Democratic calls for Trump’s impeachment were amplified after the president took aim at MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough on Twitter — having alleged Brzezinski was “bleeding badly” from her face during a trip to Mar-a-Lago around New Year’s Eve and blasting their show a “poorly rated.” (Read more from “Dems Step up Efforts to Impeach Trump” HERE)

CIA Can Geo-Locate Your Computer by Listening to WiFi Signals

WikiLeaks Vault 7 has provided great insight into the CIA’s hacking capabilities. So far we have learned they can hack into various electronic devices such as smartphones, TVs, and computers. Some of the CIA’s tech revealed by Vault 7 is outdated and over-hyped, but the latest revelation called project Elsa seems frightening.

Elsa is the code name for the CIA’s geo-location malware for WiFi-enabled devices like laptops running the Microsoft Windows operating systems according to WikiLeaks.

One of the scariest things about Elsa WikiLeaks notes is that once CIA malware is installed on a target’s system, it doesn’t even need to be connected to the Internet to function.

“Once persistently installed on a target machine using separate CIA exploits, the malware scans visible WiFi access points and records the ESS identifier, MAC address and signal strength at regular intervals. To perform the data collection the target machine does not have to be online or connected to an access point; it only needs to be running with an enabled WiFi device,” WikiLeaks wrote.

If the system is connected to the Internet, it then proceeds to log the geo-location of the target using databases from Google or Microsoft. The malware then stores the longitude and latitude data along with a timestamp for when the information was collected in an encrypted location on the user’s hard drive.

Further, WikiLeaks has showcased that Elsa doesn’t phone home to the CIA; the data has to be extracted by a CIA agent using separate CIA exploits and backdoors or air gapping it out using a computer’s hard drive LED light.

The latter sounds like science fiction, but if the computer was infected with malware a drone could then exfiltrate the data if the drone were able to get close enough to see the computer’s light according to Wired.

With the revelation of this type of hacking technique, it begs the question, why would this method be used? The answer is almost certainly for targeting hackers and terrorists such as the CIA’s mad experiment in the Middle East, ISIS. With the geological location data of a target, it would make droning a target easy peasy lemon squeezy. Popular US Restaurant Gets Massive Fine for Being Too Careful Not to Hire Illegals, DOJ Charged “Non-Citizen Discrimination”

The U.S. Department of Justice announced Wednesday it reached a settlement agreement with Panda Restaurant Group Inc., a chain of more than 1,800 Chinese-cuisine restaurants the DOJ accuses of discriminating against non-U.S. citizens in its hiring practices.

The deal resolves the department’s investigation into whether Panda Express discriminated against non-U.S. citizens in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act, or INA, when verifying employees’ permission to work, according to a DOJ press release.

According to the DOJ investigation, Panda Express “unnecessarily required lawful permanent resident workers to re-establish their work authorization” when their green cards expired, “while not making similar requests to U.S. citizen workers when their documents expired.”

It was not clear from the press release what “documents” a U.S. citizen would have that could expire and need to be re-verified. WND called and emailed the DOJ press office Wednesday and did not get a return call.

The investigation also concluded that Panda Express “routinely required other non-U.S. citizen workers to produce immigration documents to reverify their ongoing work authorization despite evidence they had already provided sufficient documentation.” (Read more from “Popular US Restaurant Gets Massive Fine for Being Too Careful Not to Hire Illegals, DOJ Charged “Non-Citizen Discrimination” HERE)

GOP Senator: Use Sanctuary Cities’ Funds for Border Wall

One Republican senator is proposing a new solution for sanctuary cities that do not follow the law: take some of their federal funding and transfer it to a budget for President Donald Trump’s proposed border wall.

“How many innocent American lives must be lost before security becomes the first priority of immigration?” Sen. Luther Strange, R-Ala., asked the audience at an event Thursday at The Heritage Foundation titled “Securing the Border and Protecting Our Communities.”

“How many criminal aliens have to be released shy of justice being served for the rule of law to be affirmed as the first priority of a functioning society?”

Strange’s legislation, introduced in May, would keep federal funds from being given to areas with sanctuary cities that fail to comply with the Department of Justice in following immigration law or who punish small businesses for entering to bid on Trump’s border wall.

Strange explained:

My bill has two simple outcomes. Sanctuary jurisdictions can either follow the law or fund the wall. Failure to comply with federal immigration authorities and continued efforts to interfere with the lawful pursuit of border wall contracts by local businesses will be met with the loss of federal transportation and infrastructure grant funding. These funds will go towards the construction of our border wall.

Strange, 64, was appointed to serve in Congress Feb. 9, following the confirmation of former Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., to serve as attorney general.

Prior to his appointment, Strange was Alabama’s attorney general, a role he assumed in 2011.

Strange said he believes his legislation is a “fiscally conservative” way to help provide funds for the promised border wall.

None of the funds allocated would be earmarked for other purposes other than transportation, Strange said.

“And I want to be clear about that these are not funds to pay for emergency preparedness, health care, or public safety,” Strange said. “They are transportation and infrastructure funds and they will be going to fund a major infrastructure project.”

While Strange said he is not certain on the timeline for the border wall, the Alabama senator said this project remains a top priority for Trump.

“I have not heard anything except the president say publicly and personally that he’s going to build the wall,” Strange said. “People in Alabama have certainly not forgotten that promise and it is a critical commitment to our people.”

The nation will be better served if the rule of law is held to in the immigration process, Strange said.

“The fact that citizens and others who are here lawfully might be harmed by an unlawful measure picking winners and losers in the name of illegal immigration is the height of irony and liberal hypocrisy,” he said. Texas Supreme Court: Gay Couples Have No Inherent Right to Marriage Benefits

The Texas Supreme Court ruled unanimously Friday that gay couples have no inherent right to government-funded spousal benefits.

The all-Republican nine-member court ruled that while the U.S. Supreme Court in 2015 legalized same-sex marriage in Obergefell v. Hodges, the “reach and ramifications” of the rights of gay couples are still up in the air.

The nation’s highest court legalized same-sex marriage, but did not detail what additional rights are guaranteed to such couples, according to the Texas court.

Conservative groups applauded the decision, calling it a ruling that protects traditional marriage.

Supporters of gay marriage said the Texas court got it wrong, arguing that the Supreme Court clearly stated that all marriages, traditional and same-sex, must be treated equally.

“The Texas Supreme Court’s decision this morning is a warning shot to all LGBTQ Americans that the war on marriage equality is ever-evolving, and anti-LGBTQ activists will do anything possible to discriminate against our families,” said Sarah Kate Ellis, president of the LGBT advocacy group GLAAD.

The case stemmed from a dispute in 2013, when then-Houston Mayor Annise Parker, the city’s first openly gay mayor, was sued by two local taxpayers for her decision to grant government-subsidized spousal benefits to gay couples who were married in other states.

The two taxpayers, a pastor and a CPA, sued Parker, arguing that no city employees had a “fundamental right” to receive government-funded spousal benefits and that it was “perfectly constitutional” to grant benefits to traditionally married couples and deny them to same-sex couples.

The case appeared to be dead in the water when the state of Texas began extending spousal benefits to same-sex couples after the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage in 2015.

But conservative groups continued to press their case. Pressure by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and Attorney General Ken Paxton led the state’s Supreme Court to re-hear the case in March.

The state court ruling sends the issue back to a Harris County district court, which must consider whether the city of Houston is required to provide spousal benefits to same-sex couples.

“Pidgeon and the mayor, like many other litigants throughout the country, must now assist the courts in fully exploring Obergefell’s reach and ramifications, and are entitled to the opportunity to do so,” Justice Jeffrey Boyd wrote in the Texas court’s decision. “We reverse the court of appeals’ judgment, vacate the trial court’s temporary injunction order.”

Supporters of gay marriage say they will appeal the ruling. (For more from the author of “Texas Supreme Court: Gay Couples Have No Inherent Right to Marriage Benefits” please click HERE)

Doctor’s Rampage Leaves 1 Dead, 6 Wounded at NYC Hospital

The 45-year-old man who shot seven people at a Bronx hospital was a former doctor at the hospital, police said Friday.

Henry Bello killed one female doctor at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital and wounded six other people, police said, before killing himself. Bello wore a white lab coat as he went from floor to floor.

Police said Bello first tried to set himself on fire but that hospital sprinklers put out the fire. Police Commissioner James O’Neill said Bello then used the gun he had used to shoot his victims on himself.

Some reports said Bello had been fired from the hospital two years ago and had vowed revenge

The shooting began just before 3 p.m., and involved shots being fired on multiple floors of the hospital. O’Neill said five of the six people wounded on the 16th floor were in serious condition with gunshot wounds.

One wounded doctor was being assisted by staff who used an emergency fire hose as a tourniquet, a fire department official said.

The shooting resulted in the hospital being placed on lockdown.

“Everybody said ‘Code red, shut the door, don’t come out of your room,’” a patient who gave his name as Toby told CBS. “Well we got scared, we didn’t know what was going on. They said somebody in the hospital had a rifle. I just heard people screaming and I got scared and they said close your bedroom door and don’t come out of your room. So I closed the door and didn’t come out of my room. My arm is swollen but I pushed the chair to the door so nobody could come in.”

Krystal Rivera, a 23-year-old patient, said she heard the shots.

“I barricaded the door with an IV machine, two chairs and my whole bed,” Rivera said.

“I was in the middle of getting an X-ray when security alerted us to the active shooter situation and locked us in,” recalled patient Felix Puno, who was on the fourth floor.

The police responded in force to the situation.

“I just seen a bunch of cops come in through the back, through the front with their pistols drawn, (screaming), ‘This guy’s a threat’ … I thought something bad was about to happen. They were telling us to evacuate and go back. They said he was a threat and he might start shooting out the windows,” said Carlos Rodriguez, 19, who was outside the hospital. Fake News: Associated Press Engulfed in CNN-Level Scandal as It Covers up Invention of Imaginary Pruitt Meeting

. . . A Breitbart News investigation has led to the correction by the Associated Press–which originally resisted–of the fake news it printed as deeper questions of responsibility, accountability, and journalistic ethics consume the AP heading into Fourth of July weekend.

This time, the Associated Press invented an imaginary meeting between EPA administrator Scott Pruitt and Dow Chemical CEO Andrew Liveris, and then alleged that some kind of impropriety happened as a result.

This is exactly the same mistake CNN made a week ago, when it alleged that Anthony Scaramucci—the founder of SkyBridge Capital and an associate and ally of President Donald Trump—held “meetings” with Russian investment fund leaders and was under investigation by the Senate Intelligence Committee and Treasury Department as a result.

A Breitbart News investigation uncovered that no such “meetings” took place, the Senate Intelligence Committee was not investigating the matter, and the Treasury Department had already—at the urging of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) to now Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin before Trump’s inauguration—looked into it and determined the matter to be entirely “without merit.”

The very fake news scandal that is consuming CNN right now is the biggest scandal in the network’s history, and comes as media D.C.-wide find themselves under intense scrutiny amid a litany of industry mistakes. Frustrated Dems Plot to Remove Trump, but Mike Pence Would Have to Jump on Board

A Democratic congressman has proposed convening a special committee of psychiatrists and other doctors whose job would be to determine if President Donald Trump is fit to serve in the Oval Office.

Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin, who also teaches constitutional law at American University, has predictably failed to attract any Republicans to his banner.

But the U.S. Constitution’s 25th Amendment does allow for a majority of the president’s cabinet, or ‘such other body as Congress may by law provide,’ to decide if an Oval Office occupant is unable to carry out his duties – and then to put it to a full congressional vote.

Vice President Mike Pence would also have to agree, which could slow down the process – or speed it up if he wanted the levers of power for himself.

The 25th Amendment has been around since shortly after the John F. Kennedy assassination, but Congress has never formed its own committee in case it’s needed to judge a president’s mental health. New Georgetown Dean Is an Avowed Supporter of Hezbollah

Georgetown University has promoted an avowed supporter of the U.S.-designated terrorist group Hezbollah as its newest academic chair.

On September 1, Ahmad S. Dallal will become the dean of Georgetown University in Qatar, a school that is funded with support from its host country. Dallal previously served as the chair of Georgetown’s Islamic Studies department at its Washington, D.C. campus, which is a known cesspool of jihadi sympathizers. Georgetown Qatar is directly affiliated with the main campus, and considered an “additional location for the University in Washington, D.C.”

Dallal, like too many of his colleagues in academia, holds some truly fringe beliefs.

First and foremost, he is an open supporter of the Hezbollah terrorist group. He signed a 2006 petition declaring his “conscious support for the Lebanese national resistance [Hezbollah] as it wages a war” against Israel, adding that it is “a war to safeguard the dignity of the Lebanese and Arab people.” The statement declared Hezbollah’s murderous campaign a “heroic operation.”

In his previous position as provost of American University of Beirut, Dallal slammed one of his colleagues for collaborating with Israeli scholars, declaring that the school would boycott the Jewish state.

“I take this opportunity to remind all members of our community that, as an institution of higher learning with an historic presence in Lebanon and the Middle East,” Dallal said in an open letter, “AUB is deeply committed to upholding the essential values of academic freedom, and will do so within the bounds of Lebanese law, which strictly prohibits collaboration with Israeli institutions.”

Amid Israel’s 2014 war against the U.S.-designated Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, Dallal pledged his support for a group called “The Georgetown Faculty for Gaza,” which essentially voiced a preference for Hamas against Israel. He wrote in support of the jihadi group: “All the [Hamas] rockets together have the destructive power of one load of an F-16 … Nothing justifies killing on this scale.” Moreover, during the Gaza war, Dallal called for a boycott of the State of Israel.

He also served as an expert witness for Abdel Jabber Hamdan, a man charged with funneling money to Hamas through the Holy Land Foundation. Hamdan was later ordered deported after a judge ruled that he solicited funds for the terrorist organization.

In 2004, Dallal signed a petition calling upon a prominent university to let Muslim Brotherhood-connected Tariq Ramadan teach there. Ramadan was back in the news last week after a video emerged of him openly advocating for female genital mutilation.

In 2002, Dallal signed an open letter arguing that Israel would exploit a war in Iraq to conduct “ethnic cleansing” against Palestinians.

Following the 9/11 attacks, Dallal blamed America for apparently bringing the al-Qaida terror upon itself. “The disastrous effects of an American foreign policy that has supported many twisted dictatorships in the Muslim world and helped thwart democratic reforms,” he wrote.

The incoming Georgetown Qatar dean defended a Georgetown University Press Arab studies textbook that removed Israel from most of its Middle East maps. After students started to complain about the textbook’s anti-Israel bias, Dallal responded: “I can’t possibly imagine what anyone would object to in this book.”

So there you have it: An avowed supporter of two terrorist organizations, who wants to boycott the world’s only Jewish state, and blames America for 9/11, will soon be a dean at Georgetown University Qatar.

Georgetown University Qatar did not respond to a request for comment on Dallal’s support for Hezbollah. (For more from the author of “New Georgetown Dean Is an Avowed Supporter of Hezbollah” please click HERE)

House Passes Kate’s Law, as Part of Illegal Immigrant Crackdown

House Republicans took action Thursday to crack down on illegal immigrants and the cities that shelter them.

One bill passed by the House would deny federal grants to sanctuary cities and another, Kate’s Law, would increase the penalties for deported aliens who try to return to the United States.

Kate’s Law, which would increase the penalties for deported aliens who try to return to the United States and caught, passed with a vote of 257 to 157, with one Republican voting no and 24 Democrats voting yes.

Kate’s Law is named for Kate Steinle, a San Francisco woman killed by an illegal immigrant who was in the U.S. despite multiple deportations. The two-year anniversary of her death is on Saturday.

President Trump called the bill’s passage “good news” in a tweet, adding “House just passed #KatesLaw. Hopefully Senate will follow.”
