Congressman Urges UFO Disclosures, Whistleblower Protection

Republican Missouri Rep. Eric Burlison joined witnesses and enthusiasts at a conference commemorating the 30th anniversary of a famous alleged extraterrestrial encounter, during which he spoke in favor of disclosure and whistleblower protection.

The UAP (UFO) Press Conference, hosted by investigative filmmaker James Fox, marked the 30th anniversary of an alleged 1996 encounter in Varginha, Brazil, during which some claim the Brazilian government captured two “non-human” entities. Burlison advocated during the conference for two pieces of legislation that he says will improve transparency on the issue and encourage further witnesses to come forward.

“This is once in more compelling first person narratives,” Burlison told the Daily Caller News Foundation during the conference. “I’m looking forward to actually getting my hands on any kind of real physical evidence — whether that’s material evidence or biological samples, maybe from the corpse … at the end of the day, I remain skeptical until I get my hands on physical evidence. But until then, I’m going to take it seriously investigating myself.”

Burlison urged passage of the UAP (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena) Disclosure Act as well as whistleblower protections in legislation.

“We’ve been given marching orders — we have legislation that we need to pass,” the congressman said. “We’ve heard from a lot of witnesses. It’s time for action. And it’s time to get the receipts. So it’s time to pass the UAP disclosure act. It is time to pass whistleblower protection, within that or a separate act.” (Read more from “Congressman Urges UFO Disclosures, Whistleblower Protection” HERE)

Air Force One Makes U-Turn Over Atlantic, Returns To Andrews AFB

Air Force One turned around while en route to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland Tuesday night.

The crew reportedly detected a “minor electrical issue” and decided to return to Andrews Air Force Base “out of an abundance of caution,” with President Donald Trump and his team planning to board another aircraft. Trump was en route to the WEF to give a “Special Address” Wednesday afternoon local time when the issue occurred.

Washington Examiner White House reporter Mabinty Quarshie, a member of the “out-of-town” press pool, noted the lights in the Air Force One cabin went out without explanation shortly after takeoff before the aircraft turned back while over the Atlantic Ocean. Air Force One made a safe landing at Andrews Air Force Base, where Trump and those on the VC-25 will take two smaller aircraft, CNN reported.

“[White House Press Secretary Karoline] Leavitt made a joke about the Qatari jet sounding ‘much better’ right now,” Quarshie wrote in the report sent out to reporters. (Read more from “Air Force One Makes U-Turn Over Atlantic, Returns To Andrews AFB” HERE)

Trump Gives Cryptic 3-Word Response When Asked How Far He’ll Go to Get Greenland

By Fox News. President Donald Trump fueled fresh uncertainty Tuesday, offering a terse “you’ll see” when asked at the White House how far he would go to get Greenland.

Trump dismissed concerns that Greenlanders do not want to join the U.S. and that a move to seize the island would undermine the NATO alliance.

In recent weeks, Trump has zeroed in on Greenland, the world’s largest island and a strategic outpost in the Arctic.

The remote, semi-autonomous Danish territory, a NATO ally, hosts a key U.S. military base and occupies a strategic position in an Arctic region growing more competitive as melting ice opens new shipping lanes and access to critical resources.

Trump has repeatedly framed Greenland as a national security necessity, arguing that Russia and China would gain ground in the region if the U.S. does not acquire it. (Read more from “Trump Gives Cryptic 3-Word Response When Asked How Far He’ll Go to Get Greenland” HERE)

Trump’s Greenland threats spark outrage from EU and test longtime NATO alliance

By KIRO 7. President Donald Trump ‘s pledge to provoke a sweeping tariff fight with Europe to get his way in taking control of Greenland has left many of America’s closest allies warning of a rupture with Washington capable of shattering the NATO alliance that had once seemed unshakable.

The European Union’s top official on Tuesday called Trump’s planned new tariffs over Greenland a “mistake” and questioned Trump’s trustworthiness. French President Emmanuel Macron said the EU could retaliate by deploying one of its most powerful economic tools, known colloquially as a trade “bazooka.”

Trump prides himself on ratcheting up pressure to try to negotiate through a position of strength. He was leaving Tuesday — the anniversary of his inauguration — for the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, a venue that offers Trump the chance to defuse tensions as quickly as he stirred them up.

But European leaders — digging in and vowing to defend Denmark and its control over semiautonomous Greenland — may be seeking just as hard to meet an extraordinary moment with a show of their fierce resolve.

That could hurt the chances of Trump finding a quick way to turn around the crisis. Greenland’s leader insisted on respect for its territorial integrity and said recognition of international law is “not a game.” (Read more from “Trump’s Greenland threats spark outrage from EU and test longtime NATO alliance” HERE)

Minnesota: ICE Arrests Convicted Killers, Domestic Abusers, Drunk Drivers

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is continuing arrests across Minnesota thanks to Operation Metro Surge, recently nabbing illegal aliens convicted of murder, domestic abuse, and drunk driving, among other crimes.

“As our law enforcement are facing rampant violence against them, they arrested murderers, drug traffickers, and an illegal with 24 criminal convictions in Minneapolis yesterday,” the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

Indeed, among those arrested by ICE agents is Hien Quoc Thai, an illegal alien from Vietnam, convicted of murder, as well as Brian Anjain, an illegal alien from the Marshall islands, who has 24 prior convictions for crimes such as assault causing bodily injury, domestic abuse, public nudity, theft, interference with official acts, public intoxication, and trespassing.

“These are the criminals Governor Walz and Mayor Frey are protecting,” McLaughlin said. “No American wants these criminals for neighbors.” (Read more from “Minnesota: ICE Arrests Convicted Killers, Domestic Abusers, Drunk Drivers” HERE)

Gang Terror Grips Vacation Spot as U.S. Embassy Warns Americans to Keep ‘Low Profile’

The U.S. Embassy in Guatemala has issued a security alert warning Americans to use “increased caution” when in the Central American country.

“The U.S. Embassy has lifted the shelter-in-place order for their staff,” says the alert, which was issued Sunday. “The situation remains tense with coordinated, armed attacks on police in several zones of Guatemala City.”

The Embassy recommends that Americans monitor local media for updates, avoid crowds and demonstrations, and aim to keep a “low profile.”

Travelers are advised to review personal security plans and minimize unnecessary movements.

The alert comes as gangs have attacked Guatemalan police after seizing control of three prisons in coordinated riots, The Associated Press (AP) reported. (Read more from “Gang Terror Grips Vacation Spot as U.S. Embassy Warns Americans to Keep ‘Low Profile’” HERE)

Trump Shares Private Texts From Macron and NATO Chief, Saying They ‘Made My Point’

President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he shared private text messages from French President Emmanuel Macron and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on social media because they “made my point.”

“It just made my point. They’re saying, ‘Oh gee, let’s have dinner, let’s do this, let’s do that.’ It just made my point,” Trump said in an interview with The New York Post.

The president posted screenshots of text messages from Macron and Rutte on his Truth Social platform that praised him for his work in Syria, Gaza and Ukraine.

Macron offered to set up a G7 meeting in Paris after the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and have dinner with Trump before he heads back to the White House.

A White House official told Fox News that Trump has no plans to travel to Paris at this time. (Read more from “Trump Shares Private Texts From Macron and NATO Chief, Saying They ‘Made My Point’” HERE)

Trump Rips ‘Crooked’ Ilhan Omar as House Ramps Up Investigation Into Exploding Net Worth

President Donald Trump slammed Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., a member of the far-left “Squad” in the House, over her multi-million dollar net worth during a news conference from the White House Tuesday afternoon.

Trump called the Somali-born lawmaker from Minnesota “crooked” on Tuesday amid a probe by Congressional Republicans on the House Oversight Committee looking into how Omar’s wealth exploded after becoming a lawmaker. In just one year, Omar’s net worth reportedly jumped $30 million, according to financial disclosures first reported last week.

“I was told that Ilhan Omar is worth $30 million,” Trump then quipped. “She never had a job. She’s a crooked congressman. So here you – it’s another one.

“Nobody talks about the fact that $19 billion, at a minimum, is missing in Minnesota, given to a large degree, but, by Somalians – they’ve taken it. Somalians. Can you imagine? And they don’t do it, a lot of very low IQ people, they don’t do it. Other people work it out, and they get them money and they go out and buy Mercedes-Benz’s.

“They have no money. They never had money. They never had a life. They never had a government. They never had a country because there’s basically no country. Somalia is not even a country. They don’t have anything that resembles a country. And if it is a country, it’s considered just about the worst in the world. They come here, and they become rich and they don’t have a job,” Trump complained from the podium in the White House briefing room before turning his focus to Omar. Justice Dept. to Interrogate Tim Walz, Four Other Top Minnesota Democrats

The Department of Justice has subpoenaed five top Democrats in Minnesota to question them on the legality of their opposition to the federal enforcement of immigration law.

The New York Times reported:

Federal prosecutors issued subpoenas on Tuesday to at least five Democratic officials in Minnesota, ramping up the Justice Department’s investigation into their response to the Trump administration’s aggressive immigration crackdown in the state, according to two people familiar with the matter.

The subpoenas sought documents from Gov. Tim Walz, Mayor Jacob Frey of Minneapolis and Mayor Kaohly Her of St. Paul related to their policies on immigration enforcement efforts in the state. Two Minnesota prosecutors, Keith Ellison, the state attorney general, and Mary Moriarty, the Hennepin County attorney, were also sent similar subpoenas.

The investigation is supercharged by the Democrats’ behind-the-scenes support for the mobs that harass federal enforcement officers and pro-enforcement demonstrations.

“You’ve got to get rid of sanctuary cities,” President Donald Trump told reporters at a Tuesday press conference. (Read more from “Justice Dept. to Interrogate Tim Walz, Four Other Top Minnesota Democrats” HERE)

NY Times Not Too Happy Over New Acronym For Liberal White Women

A new acronym for liberal white women is gaining traction online, and the New York Times does not appear to be happy about it.

The paper published a lengthy piece Friday about the acronym AWFUL, which stands for Affluent White Female Urban Liberal. Conservative commentators have used the term to describe liberal women protesting immigration enforcement in Minneapolis following the fatal shooting of activist Renee Good by an ICE agent on January 7.

The NY Times even contacted the Department of Homeland Security about its growing popularity.

DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin was unmoved. “I’m more concerned with facts on the ground than I am about acronyms,” McLaughlin told the paper.

The NY Times reported that conservative commentator Erik Erickson posted on social media that “an AWFUL (Affluent White Female Urban Liberal) is dead after running her car into an ICE agent who opened fire on her.” Orlando radio host Pierce Outlaw called such women “the scourge of polite society.” (Read more from “NY Times Not Too Happy Over New Acronym For Liberal White Women” HERE)

Pentagon Reportedly Activates 1,500 Troops For Potential Deployment Amid ICE Protests

The Pentagon reportedly ordered roughly 1,500 active-duty soldiers to prepare for possible deployment to Minnesota as protests against federal immigration enforcement continue in Minneapolis.

Two U.S. defense officials told Reuters the Army placed two infantry battalions from the Alaska-based 11th Airborne Division on standby. The troops specialize in cold-weather operations. Officials said the soldiers would deploy if violence in the state worsens, though it remains unclear whether any will actually be sent.

The White House said in a statement to The Washington Post that it is typical for the Pentagon “to be prepared for any decision the President may or may not make.” Defense officials characterized the move as “prudent planning,” the Post reported.

Pentagon chief spokesman Sean Parnell addressed the preparations in an emailed statement to the Associated Press (AP). He did not deny the orders were issued.

“The Department of War is always prepared to execute the orders of the Commander-in-Chief if called upon,” Parnell said. (Read more from “Pentagon Reportedly Activates 1,500 Troops For Potential Deployment Amid ICE Protests” HERE)
