Doctor Who Has Delivered Nearly 4,000 Babies Torches New York Abortion Law

Lifesite News reports that Dr. William Lile, a board certified obstetrician-gynecologist, has issued a blistering condemnation of New York state’s recently passed state law which allows abortion up until birth.

As noted by Lifesite’s Calvin Freiburger, Dr. Wile says that “modern medical technology is already giving preborn babies blood transfusions, heart surgery, and more.” Many of these surgeries can occur at 22 weeks in the womb, the Alabama and Florida licensed practitioner said. Thus, “If they’re a patient they’re a person, and if they are a person they deserve our protection.”

But, New York’s bill states that “Every individual who becomes pregnant has the fundamental right to choose to carry the pregnancy to term, to give birth to a child, or to have an abortion.” The new law also “erases the state’s recognition of preborn babies older than 24 weeks as potential homicide victims, removes abortion from the penal code entirely, and allows licensed health practitioners other than full doctors to commit abortions.”

WATCH: Here’s What a Late-Term Abortion Procedure Actually Looks Like. It’s Horrifying.

This week, New York Senate Democrats passed the euphemistically-named Reproductive Health Act, legislation which allows abortion up to the moment of birth, loosens restrictions on who performs them, and removes the fatal procedure from the state’s criminal code.

The truth is, the reality of abortion is so gruesome that abortion activists rely heavily on euphemism and secrecy. For example, it’s been shown time and again that self-described “pro-choice” folks change their mind about abortion after they’re shown what the fatal procedure actually entails — and, no, it’s not remotely comparable to a “dentist appointment,” as we are commonly told by left-wing activists.

So how exactly is a late-term abortion carried out? What will it look like when abortionists in New York state kill the unborn from 25 weeks to birth? In short: infanticide.

Dr. Anthony Levatino, a practicing obstetrician-gynecologist who performed over 1,200 abortions before he became pro-life, explains the horrifying procedure in a video for pro-life organization Live Action.

“At this point, the baby is almost fully developed and viable, meaning he or she could survive outside the womb if the mother were to go into labor prematurely. Because the baby is so large and developed, the procedure takes three or four days to complete,” says Levatino (video below).

Here’s a List of States That Permit Abortion up to Birth

Many have been upset recently by New York’s new permissive abortion law that allows abortion “within 24 weeks from the commencement of pregnancy, or there is an absence of fetal viability, or at any time when necessary to protect a patient’s life or health.”

However, New York’s law is not as extreme as the policies in the following seven states that have no, or little, restrictions on abortion and allow abortion up until birth, according to the Guttmacher Institute, a pro-abortion research and policy group.

The states with the most lenient abortion laws are Oregon, Vermont, Colorado, New Hampshire and the District of Columbia, where there are no major prohibitions on abortion.

As evident from Guttmacher’s overview, in these states there are no laws requiring that abortions must be performed by a licensed physician or that they must be performed at a hospital. There are no 20-week, 24-week, or even official viability prohibitions on abortion. . .

In Alaska, New Jersey, and New Mexico, abortions are allowed up until birth and the states fund “all or most medically necessary abortions,” however, the procedures must be performed by a licensed physician. New Jersey has the additional requirement that abortions must be performed in a hospital past 14 weeks. (Read more from “Here’s a List of States That Permit Abortion up to Birth” HERE)

Another State Looks to Make Abortion up to Birth a Constitutional Right

. . .Pro-abortion lawmakers and activists on Wednesday introduced a bill to enshrine abortion on-demand up to birth in a state that already has no protections for the unborn, looking to eventually channel the bill into an amendment in the state’s constitution.

“We need a Vermont where every Vermonter should feel free to make their personal decisions about their sexual and reproductive health care,” said House Speaker Mitzi Johnson, according to Vermont Digger. “They should be guaranteed unrestricted access to the doctors and the procedures that encompass the full range of that care, including abortion care.”

“The General Assembly intends this act to safeguard the right to abortion in Vermont by ensuring that right is not denied, restricted, or infringed by a governmental entity,” the bill states, adding, “Every individual who becomes pregnant has the fundamental right to choose to carry a pregnancy to term, give birth to a child, or to have an abortion.” . . .

If the bill were to become an amendment, it would ensure abortion on-demand even after a potential overturning of Roe v. Wade. “In order for the amendment to proceed, it would have to gain a majority vote in the House and two-thirds’ vote in Senate this session and again next year for Vermonters to vote on it in 2022. It would go into effect the next year,” explained One News Now.

Vermont Right to Life Committee leader Mary Hahn Beerworth blasted Planned Parenthood and pro-abortion politicians for the move. “Vermont … has legalized abortion through all nine months of pregnancy without a single restriction or regulation on the practice of abortion – not even that a doctor perform the procedure; no limit on how late into pregnancy; and … legalized physician-assisted suicide. And now it wants to enshrine death into the Vermont Constitution,” she said. (Read more from “Another State Looks to Make Abortion up to Birth a Constitutional Right” HERE)

HORROR: State Set to Legalize Abortion up to Birth

The womb will become an even less safe place for unborn babies in New York come Tuesday. Democrat legislators are set to legalize abortion up to birth and remove the fatal procedure from the state’s criminal code altogether with the passing of the euphemistically named Reproductive Health Act.

The proposed legislation erases the current limitation on abortion in the state, which is set at 24 weeks. The Reproductive Health Act states, “every individual who becomes pregnant has the fundamental right to choose to carry the pregnancy to term, to give birth to a child, or to have an abortion.”

So long as a licensed practitioner acts in “good faith,” a baby can be murdered in the womb up to birth in order “to protect the patient’s life or health.” Notably, the meaning of the word “health” is not defined within the legislation.

“A health care practitioner licensed, certified, or authorized under title eight of the education law, acting within his or her lawful scope of practice, may perform an abortion when, according to the practitioner’s reasonable and good faith professional judgment based on the facts of the patient’s case: the patient is within twenty-four weeks from the commencement of pregnancy, or there is an absence of fetal viability, or the abortion is necessary to protect the patient’s life or health,” reads the legislation. . .

“The bill also removes abortion from the definition of homicide, and from the penal code entirely,” reports the Times Union. “Opponents say this limits prosecutors when they look to charge individuals who harm a woman’s unborn child in a domestic violence case or otherwise. Supporters say, in such cases, there remain plenty of other, much harsher criminal charges at prosecutors’ disposal.” (Read more from “HORROR: State Set to Legalize Abortion up to Birth” HERE)

Things You Need to Know About the 2019 March for Life: ‘Life Is Winning in America Once Again!’

No. 1: The march got its start in 1973 with a seemingly insignificant protest in response to the landmark Supreme Court decisions of Roe v Wade and Doe v Bolton. . .

No. 2: The rally kicked off at 1 p.m. local time at the National Mall and featured various pro-life speakers. Speakers included The Daily Wire editor-in-chief Ben Shapiro, Dr. Alveda King, Knights of Columbus Supreme Knight Carl Anderson, Archbishop Joseph Naumann, and more, in addition to President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. . .

No. 3: Trump addressed the March for Life participants in a pre-recorded address. In his remarks, the president promised to continue protecting America’s unborn children even though Democrats took a majority in the House of Representatives as a result of the 2016 midterm elections.

No. 4: Vice President Pence and his wife Karen made a surprise, in-person appearance at the march. . .

No. 5: An estimated 100,000 people — at least — are expected to attend the march. (Read more from “Things You Need to Know About the 2019 March for Life: ‘Life Is Winning in America Once Again!'” HERE)

WATCH: Pro-Life Activist Left Bloody Outside Abortion Clinic After Saying ‘Jesus Loves You’

. . .Ryan Roberts, the founder of Abortion Clinic LIVE, was attempting to dissuade women from aborting their babies at Whole Women’s Health in Fort Worth when a man threatened to kill him and then punched him in the face several times, reported FaithWire.

“This place kills babies! Can we help you?” Roberts is heard yelling to a man in a truck during a Facebook Live event, a clip from which has since been posted to YouTube.

Noticing the Christian bumper stickers on the truck, including one that said “Christ is King,” Roberts told the man he liked his truck. . .

“Jesus loves you, man,” Roberts replied calmly. “My mom almost aborted me, that’s why I come here.” . . .

Then the truck stopped and the man got out and charged at Roberts and brutally punched him in the face several times, leaving his face dripping with blood. The man then got back in the truck and kept driving up and down the street revving his engine, said Roberts.

Another State to Propose Banning Abortion on Babies With Beating Hearts

By Life Site News. The Missouri legislature is slated to debate legislation that would protect preborn babies from abortion as soon as their heartbeats can be detected, as part of a national trend toward more comprehensive pro-life laws that protect babies early in pregnancy.

Introduced by state Sen. Andrew Koenig and state Rep. Nick Schroer, H.B. 126 (S.B. 139 in the Senate) requires abortionists to test for a fetal heartbeat prior to abortion. If one can be found, the woman seeking the abortion must be given the opportunity to hear it and the abortion cannot be committed except in cases of “medical emergency.”

Women would not be punishable, but abortionists who don’t perform the test would face six-month suspensions of their medical licenses and a $1,000 fine. Physicians who do test and abort the child anyway would permanently lose their licenses and be barred from applying for a new one. . .

That’s much earlier than the current limits defined by Roe v. Wade, but many pro-lifers argue that, in light of President Donald Trump having nominated two justices to the Supreme Court so far, now is the time for state legislatures to enact legislation that would provoke a new U.S. Supreme Court case. If Roe is overturned, Americans would be free for the first time since 1973 to vote directly on every aspect of abortion’s legality. Battles expected in many states over abortion-related bills

By AP. On each side of the abortion debate, legislators and activists emboldened by recent political developments plan to push aggressively in many states this year for bills high on their wish lists: either seeking to impose near-total bans on abortion or guaranteeing women’s access to the procedure.

For abortion opponents, many of whom will rally Friday at the annual March for Life in Washington, there’s a surge of optimism that sweeping abortion bans might have a chance of prevailing in the reconfigured U.S. Supreme Court that includes Donald Trump’s appointees Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh. Legislators in at least five states — Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri, Florida and South Carolina — are expected to consider bills that would ban abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected, possibly just six weeks into a pregnancy.

Conversely, results of the midterm elections buoyed supporters of abortion rights in several states, including New York, Rhode Island, Maryland, Massachusetts and New Mexico. Abortion-rights groups there are now hopeful that lawmakers will pass bills aimed at protecting access to abortion even if the Supreme Court eventually reversed or weakened the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that established a nationwide right to abortion. Tuesday will mark the 46th anniversary of that ruling. New Poll Shows Most Americans Support Abortion Bans After the First Trimester

A Marist poll released this morning shows that Americans’ attitudes on abortion are nowhere near as extreme as radical pro-choicers make them out to be. This is obviously good news for political discourse and the sanctity of human life, although likely vexing for members of the #ShoutYourAbortion groups that are hellbent on releasing cutesy coffee table books on the matter. . .

For the last 11 years, the Marist Institute for Public Opinion, which is supported by the Knights of Columbus, has tracked public opinion on abortion attitudes. This year’s results look at a sample size of 1,066 American adults, and found that roughly 55 percent of adults identify themselves as pro-choice, while 38 percent claim to be pro-life (7 percent say they’re unsure).

But just because most Americans seem broadly convinced on the abortion question doesn’t mean they support abortion-on-demand or abortion at all times, in all circumstances. In fact, many seem uneasy with certain practices: only 15 percent of all adults believe abortion should be available to a woman at any point during pregnancy.

About 27 percent believe abortion should only be available “during the first three months of pregnancy,” with 28 percent of adults supporting abortion “only in cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother,” 10 percent of Americans supporting abortion only when it saves the life of the mother, and 10 percent saying it should be permitted under no circumstances whatsoever. When those numbers are taken together, about 75 percent of respondents believe in some form of significant abortion restriction.

Interestingly, when looking at more specific circumstances, people’s opinions of what’s morally permissible are much more restrictive than most pro-choice activists would have you think. About 62 percent of all adults surveyed oppose aborting a child with Down syndrome. Roughly 54 percent of people either oppose or strongly oppose using tax dollars to pay for abortions (with 75 percent opposing using tax dollars to pay for abortions in other countries). Disgust: Actress Declares That Her ‘First Abortion’ at Age 19 Was ‘My Best One.’ and the Audience Loves It.

Actress and outspoken abortion advocate Martha Plimpton (“The Goonies” and a host of TV shows) proudly told a Seattle audience that she got her “first abortion” at age 19 from a Seattle Planned Parenthood and that it was her “best” abortion.

“Seattle has some particular significance for me for lots of reasons,” the gravelly voiced Plimpton told the #ShoutYourAbortion audience gathered at the city’s Town Hall. “I’ve got a lot of family here, some of whom are here in the audience tonight. I also had my first abortion here at the Seattle Planned Parenthood!” . . .

“Notice I said ‘first.’ I said ‘first,'” she quickly added, seemingly trying to underscore an affinity for the-more-the-merrier when it comes to abortion. “And I don’t want Seattle — I don’t want you guys to feel insecure, it was my best one. . .

“Heads and tails above the rest,” she went on about her abortion. “If I could Yelp review it, I totally would. And if that doctor’s here tonight, I don’t remember you at all, I was 19. I was 19, but I thank you nonetheless.”

Onstage with Plimpton — and clapping and laughing in response to her strident statements — was Dr. Willie Parker, a self-proclaimed Christian and well-known abortion provider and advocate who discussed his views with the actress.
