Thomas Massie Stands His Ground as Trump Backs Primary Challenger Over Maduro Operation Criticism

As political tensions intensify inside the Republican Party, Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie has again found himself at the center of a national debate — not for abandoning conservative principles, but for standing firmly on them.

Following Massie’s outspoken criticism of the weekend operation to capture Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro, former President Donald Trump called for a primary challenge against him and endorsed Navy SEAL veteran Ed Gallrein. Trump praised Gallrein as an “America First” candidate and urged supporters to rally behind him.

Trump issued a blistering post on Truth Social, labeling Massie a “weak and pathetic RINO” while touting Gallrein’s military credentials and support for the strike against Maduro. The endorsement signals a direct effort to unseat the Kentucky lawmaker for refusing to fall in line behind U.S. intervention abroad.

Massie, however, has never fashioned himself as a party-line politician. Over the years, he has built a reputation as one of the few Republicans willing to challenge executive power — regardless of who occupies the Oval Office.

His criticism of the Maduro operation was no exception.

Across multiple posts on X, Massie questioned the legality, strategic wisdom, and long-term consequences of the raid. In doing so, he echoed the same caution he has consistently applied to foreign conflicts, federal overreach, and hasty military action carried out without full congressional debate.

Rather than cheer another show of force overseas, Massie urged Americans to consider precedent, constitutional authority, and the risks of mission creep — themes that have long defined his political identity.

Yet even under intense pressure and open opposition from Trump himself, Massie has not backed down.

He has made it clear that his job is not to serve a political figure or movement — but the Constitution, his district, and the values he has defended since first entering Congress.

Whether voters ultimately reward that conviction or punish it at the ballot box remains to be seen. But one thing is undeniable:

Thomas Massie is standing his ground — not out of defiance toward his party, but out of loyalty to the principles he believes the party should stand for.

Trump Says US Will Temporarily Run Venezuela, ‘Not Afraid of Boots on Ground’ If Necessary

President Trump told the nation the US would now take over running Venezuela, after strongman Nicolas Maduro was captured “in the dead of night.”

“We’re going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper and judicious transition,” Trump said at a press conference from his Mar-a-Lago resort as he provided new details on the stunning military operation.

“We’re going to run it, essentially” through the transition, he said.

The logistics of a US-run Venezuela were still being worked out, but Trump said it might involve military “boots on the ground.”

“We’re not afraid of boots on the ground if we have to,” the president said. “We had boots on the ground last night, at a very high level, actually.”

Later, Trump added, “We’re going to have [a] presence in Venezuela as it pertains to oil.” (Read more from “Trump Says US Will Temporarily Run Venezuela, ‘Not Afraid of Boots on Ground’ If Necessary” HERE)

Eight Epstein survivors call for Trump to be impeached over handling of file release

By Independent UK. Eight Jeffrey Epstein survivors are calling for the impeachment of Donald Trump, as well as demanding an investigation into Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI boss Kash Patel, over the government’s handling of the Epstein files release.

Since the Epstein files were released on 19 December, survivors of the convicted pedophile have been critical of the heavy redactions of the documents.

One of the survivors, Haley Robson, has spoken out publicly in an exclusive interview to reporter Sabah Choudhry from Channel 5 News in the UK.

She called Trump’s actions “illegal” after some files were still withheld despite the December 19th deadline, demanding the full release of the documents.

Robson said: “It’s important we push for impeachment of President Trump after 20-plus years of trying to find a resolution with our abuser and enablers.” (Read more from “Eight Epstein survivors call for Trump to be impeached over handling of file release” HERE)

‘This Isn’t Over’: MAGA Congresswoman Sends Blistering Message to Trump

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) is firing back after President Donald Trump issued his first vetoes of his second term, including against a measure she sponsored.

Trump rejected a bipartisan bill on Tuesday that cleared the House and Senate to finish Colorado’s Arkansas Valley Conduit, a decades-long project aimed at delivering water to dozens of communities in the southeastern portion of the state. The bill would specifically lower payments that residents within the Arkansas River Valley are required to make for construction of the water pipeline.

“Enough is enough,” Trump wrote in his message to Congress. “My Administration is committed to preventing American taxpayers from funding expensive and unreliable policies. Ending the massive cost of taxpayer handouts and restoring fiscal sanity is vital to economic growth and the fiscal health of the Nation.”

Boebert criticized his decision in a lengthy statement shared on X.

“Nothing says ‘America First’ like denying clean drinking water to 50,000 people in Southeast Colorado, many of whom enthusiastically voted for him in all three elections,” Boebert wrote. “I must have missed the rally where he stood in Colorado and promised to personally derail critical water infrastructure projects. My bad, I thought the campaign was about lowering costs and cutting red tape.”

Trump’s Super PAC Enters 2026 With a Massive $300 Million War Chest

MAGA Inc., a super PAC aligned with President Trump, is heading into the 2026 midterms with roughly $300 million in the bank, the group’s latest campaign finance disclosure revealed.

The super PAC raised over $102 million between July 1, 2025 and Dec. 22, 2025, adding to $196 million in cash on hand it reported at the beginning of the period, the document filed with the Federal Election Commission on Thursday showed.

In total, MAGA Inc. reported more than $294 million in its stockpile.

A spokesperson for the organization said it ended the year with a $304.3 million war chest, and plans to use the money to back candidates who support Trump’s agenda.

“Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, MAGA Inc will have the resources to help candidates who support President Trump’s America First agenda of securing our border, keeping our streets safe, supercharging our economy, and making life more affordable for all Americans,” a MAGA Inc. spokesperson said in a statement. Trump Uses Veto for First Two Times in Second Term

President Donald Trump used the veto for the first two times of his second term on two bills, one called the Finish the Arkansas Valley Conduit Act and the other called the Miccosukee Reserved Area Amendments Act.

In a press release from the White House regarding Trump’s veto of the Finish the Arkansas Valley Conduit (AVC) Act, it was explained that the AVC “is a water pipeline currently being built to provide municipal and industrial water to communities in southeastern Colorado.”

The press release went on to explain that the project for the pipeline — which was “originally authorized as part of the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project in a bill,” signed by former President John F. Kennedy — was supposed to be “initially funded by the Federal Government, but repaid by local users, with interest, over a 50-year period.”

The press release added that “the current bill would not have the Federal Government extend the repayment period”:

The Arkansas Valley Conduit (AVC) is a water pipeline currently being built to provide municipal and industrial water to communities in southeastern Colorado. It was originally authorized as part of the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project in a bill signed by President Kennedy in 1962. For decades it was unbuilt, largely because the AVC was economically unviable. Under the original plan, the costs of the project were to be initially funded by the Federal Government, but repaid by local users, with interest, over a 50-year period following completion of construction. But participants were unable to comply with that repayment obligation.

Trump Calls for ‘Peace on Earth,’ Vows to ‘Get to the Bottom’ of Minnesota Fraud at Glittering Mar-a-Lago New Year’s Eve Bash

President Trump called for “peace on Earth” before ringing in the new year with first lady Melania Trump at his Mar-a-Lago club Wednesday — and vowing to “get to the bottom” of Minnesota’s multibillion-dollar fraud scandal.

The president, wearing a tuxedo, briefly spoke to reporters outside the club’s ballroom, with Melania standing by his side in a stunning silver dress at the lavish estate in Palm Beach, Fla.

“Peace on Earth,” Trump said in response to a question about his 2026 resolution, before heading in for the New Year’s Eve bash.

Inside the packed ballroom, Trump told guests the country is “doing great.”

“We’re back. We’re strong,” he added.

The president then vowed to “get to the bottom” of allegations of rampant welfare fraud in Minnesota. (Read more from “Trump Calls for ‘Peace on Earth,’ Vows to ‘Get to the Bottom’ of Minnesota Fraud at Glittering Mar-a-Lago New Year’s Eve Bash” HERE)

Trump’s Deputies Freeze Child Care Payments to Minnesota amid Alleged Somali Fraud

President Donald Trump’s deputies are freezing federal payments to child care businesses in Minnesota amid growing evidence of mass fraud by Somali-owned daycare centers.

“We’re committed to holding bad actors accountable, regardless of rank or office,” said a X video from Jim O’Neil, deputy secretary at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). “Anyone who is involved in perpetrating this fraud against the American people should expect to be prosecuted.”

The Minnesota freeze is also intended to pressure other states to check for fraud in their federally funded services — especially within the ethnic enclaves created by long-standing federal policy of mass migration.

The freeze is politically powerful because it will force the state’s legitimate operators to demand state investigations into the apparently massive fraud by Somali operators. The fraud is evidently hidden by the imported, self-serving, clannish Somali culture of “amoral familism,” which is very different from U.S.-style citizenship, which emphasizes reciprocal rights and duties in a shared society.

The fraud has been quietly described in many news outlets over the last few years. However, Democrats suppressed public recognition of the mass fraud by their political allies until last week, when independent journalist Nick Shirley posted a series of man-on-the-street videos showing empty child care centers.

Trump Scolds Ukraine After Russia Claims Putin Home Attacked, Zelensky Slams ‘Typical Lies’

President Trump directed a public rebuke at Ukraine Monday after Russia claimed that Kyiv had attacked one of Vladimir Putin’s official residences with 91 long-range drones overnight — despite Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissing the report as “typical Russian lies.”

Ahead of a bilateral meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump initially told reporters at his Mar-a-Lago resort that “I don’t know about” the reported assault on the Kremlin tyrant’s home in the Novgorod region before adding “that would be too bad, that would not be good.”

The president then confirmed that his Russian counterpart had “told me about” the assault on a Monday morning phone call that White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt had described as “positive.”

“This is not the right time,” Trump said about the alleged drone incursion. “It’s one thing to be offensive, it’s another thing to attack his house. I was very angry about it.”

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed to reporters that all 91 drones had been shot down, and there were no immediate reports of other damage or casualties. (Read more from “Trump Scolds Ukraine After Russia Claims Putin Home Attacked, Zelensky Slams ‘Typical Lies’” HERE)

‘My Friends Will Get Hurt’: Trump Blew Up Over Threats to Expose Epstein Accomplices

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is offering more details about her falling out with President Donald Trump, saying the final straw revolved around her push for more government transparency surrounding sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes. . .

In September, Greene spoke directly to Epstein survivors during a closed-door House Oversight hearing, which moved her to fight for accountability on their behalf. After leaving the hearing, she rallied reporters and publicly threatened that, if necessary, she would work with victims to reveal the names of Epstein’s associates who perpetrated sexual abuse against women and girls.

That threat, she said, resulted in a hostile phone call from the president — their last proper conversation.

According to the Times, which heard about the call through both Greene and one of her staffers, Trump, 79, rang her Capitol Hill office to voice his frustration with her public advocacy on the issue. The whole office could allegedly hear him yelling at her on speakerphone, according to her staffer.

Greene claimed that when she expressed confusion to Trump on the call over his resistance to outing Epstein’s potential conspirators, the president told her, “My friends will get hurt.”

When she suggested that the president could invite Epstein survivors to the Oval Office to show that their stories were being heard, the president allegedly said that they had not done anything to earn such an honor, according to Greene’s account of the conversation.
