Trump Announces Ceasefire in Iran-Israel ’12 Day War’

President Donald Trump announced on Monday that Israel and Iran had agreed to a “complete and total ceasefire,” after 12 days of ongoing war between the two countries.

“CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final mission!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED!” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

“Officially, Iran will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 12th Hour, Israel will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World. During each CEASEFIRE, the other side will remain PEACEFUL and RESPECTFUL,” Trump added.

Trump continued to offer his congratulations to Israel and Iran for having agreed to a ceasefire “on the assumption that everything works as it should.”

Poll: Majority Say Democrats Should Take ‘Wait and See Attitude’ Toward Trump’s Actions

A majority say Democrats should take a “wait and see attitude” toward President Donald Trump’s actions rather than immediately opposing everything he does, a June Harvard-Harris survey found.

The survey asked respondents, “Do you think Democrats should oppose everything that Trump is doing or should they take more of a wait and see attitude towards his actions?”

Across the board, a majority, 58 percent, said they want Democrats to take more of a wait and see attitude toward Trump’s actions. Another 42 percent said they want Democrats to oppose everything Trump does.

Predictably, options vary across party lines. Most Republicans and independents — 82 percent and 61 percent, respectively — believe Democrats should take a wait and see approach to Trump’s actions. However, most Democrats, 71 percent, said they want their fellow Democrats to oppose everything Trump is doing. Only 18 percent of Republicans agree with them, as do 39 percent of independents.

Similarly, the survey asked respondents if they believe Democrats should “oppose Trump on tariffs and trade policy or see how his initiative plays out over the next few weeks.” (Read more from “Poll: Majority Say Democrats Should Take ‘Wait and See Attitude’ Toward Trump’s Actions” HERE)

DOD Reveals Stunning New Details Following Trump’s Attack on Iran

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine revealed stunning new details following President Donald Trump’s historic strikes against Iranian nuclear sites on Saturday.

Hegseth and Caine confirmed that deception was involved to execute “Operation Midnight Hammer,” commending the American military, who “performed flawlessly” during the mission. Part of the fleet of B-2 bombers flew west over the Pacific as a decoy, while the “main strike package” headed east before striking Iran at about “6:40 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.”

Hegseth also clarified that only the Iranian nuclear targets were “devastated” and that civilians were not targeted.

“Many presidents have dreamed of delivering the final blow to Iran’s nuclear program, and none could, until President Trump,” Hegseth told reporters during a press conference Sunday. “The operation President Trump planned was bold, and it was brilliant, showing the world that American deterrence is back. When this president speaks, the world should listen.”

“No other country on planet Earth could have conducted the operation that the chairman is going to outline this morning, not even close,” Hegseth added.

Trump Hits Iran, Left Explodes — Even One Republican Says It’s ‘Unconstitutional’

Leading members of Congress and progressive activists erupted on social media following President Donald Trump’s announcement that the United States had launched airstrikes against Iran.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) stated, “Dear colleagues: Don’t make another mistake in dragging our country into another war,” Tlaib tweeted. “You can stop the President and the war mongers in Congress by signing on to our War Powers Resolution.”

“Trump struck Iran without any authorization of Congress,” Ro Khanna (D-CA) posted. “We need to immediately return to DC and vote on @RepThomasMassie and my War Powers Resolution to prevent America from being dragged into another endless Middle East war.”

Massie, a libertarian-leaning Republican, joined Democrats in blasting the strikes, writing, “This is not Constitutional,” in response to Trump’s post.

Former DNC Vice Chair David Hogg also weighed in,“What happened to no new wars?” Hogg asked. “Also how are we paying for this? If we can’t afford to spend trillions on healthcare we sure as hell can’t afford to spend trillions on another endless war.” (Read more from “Trump Hits Iran, Left Explodes — Even One Republican Says It’s ‘Unconstitutional’” HERE)

Did Trump Violate Constitution With Strike on Iran? Republicans in Congress at Odds

In the wake of President Donald Trump’s military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities Saturday, Republicans in Congress are at odds over the constitutionality of the military action without congressional approval.

House Speaker Mike Johnson said: “The President made the right call, and did what he needed to do. . .

But a fellow Republican, U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky, said the dropping of 12 bunker buster bombs in a precision strike on three nuclear sites was “not constitutional.”

Massie responded directly to Johnson’s opinion, saying: “Why didn’t you call us back from vacation to vote on military action if there was a serious threat to our country?” . . .

Numerous presidents of both major political parties have taken military action against countries without congressional approval in recent years, including Democrat Barack Obama launching strikes in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan.

Trump Calls for Special Prosecutor to Investigate Rigged 2020 Election

President Donald Trump is calling for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate the rigged 2020 election, polluted by everything from suspect absentee ballots to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s “Zuckbucks.”

“Biden was grossly incompetent, and the 2020 election was a total FRAUD! The evidence is MASSIVE and OVERWHELMING,” Trump wrote on Friday on Truth Social.

“A Special Prosecutor must be appointed,” he continued. “This cannot be allowed to happen again in the United States of America! Let the work begin!”

In the same post, Trump blasted his predecessor and his “CORRUPT CRONIES” for leading an invasion that saw millions of illegal immigrants pour into the United States over Joe Biden’s presidential term. The president noted the latest U.S. Border Patrol report, which shows that the agency did not release a single illegal immigrant into the country in May, compared to 62,000 on Biden’s watch in May 2024.

Corporate media immediately sprang to Biden’s defense and turned to the tired line that Trump’s assertions about the rigged election are “baseless.” The Associated Press decried that Trump’s call for a special prosecutor comes as “his Republican White House is consumed by a hugely substantial foreign policy decision on whether to get directly involved in the Israel-Iran war. Audaciously, the AP added that Trump’s call for a real deep dive investigation into an election replete with irregularities and election-law violations “is part of an amped-up effort by him to undermine the legitimacy of Biden’s presidency.” (Read more from “Trump Calls for Special Prosecutor to Investigate Rigged 2020 Election” HERE)

Iran Has Rejected Trump’s Nuclear Terms, Again

Less than 24 hours after President Donald Trump gave the Iranian regime up to two weeks to accept a nuclear agreement, the Iranian regime is rejecting a deal.

“Americans want to negotiate and have sent messages several times, but we clearly said that as long as this aggression doesn’t stop, there’s no place for talk of dialogue,” Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi said Friday.

On Thursday, President Trump said, “Based on the fact that there’s a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks.”

Trump Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize for Preventing India-Pakistan War

Pakistan nominated President Donald Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize for his “decisive diplomatic intervention and pivotal leadership” in brokering a ceasefire between India and Pakistan.

In a post on X, the Government of Pakistan praised Trump for having “demonstrated great strategic foresight and stellar statesmanship through a robust diplomatic engagement with both Islamabad and New Delhi which de-escalated a rapidly deteriorating situation.”

“The Government of Pakistan has decided to formally recommend President Donald J. Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, in recognition of his decisive diplomatic intervention and pivotal leadership during the recent India-Pakistan crisis,” the government of Pakistan wrote. “The international community bore witness to unprovoked and unlawful Indian aggression, which constituted a grave violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, resulting in the tragic loss of innocent lives, including women, children, and the elderly.”

In response, Pakistan launched an operation called Bunyanum Marsoos, which the government of Pakistan described as “a measured, resolute, and precise military response, carefully executed to re-establish deterrence and defend its territorial integrity while consciously avoiding civilian harm.”

“At a moment of heightened regional turbulence, President Trump demonstrated great strategic foresight and stellar statesmanship through robust diplomatic engagement with both Islamabad and New Delhi which de-escalated a rapidly deteriorating situation, ultimately securing a ceasefire and averting a broader conflict between the two nuclear states that would have had catastrophic consequences for millions of people in the region and beyond,” the government of Pakistan continued. “This intervention stands as a testament to his role as a genuine peacemaker and his commitment to conflict resolution through dialogue.”

Trump Says When He Will Make His Decision On Iran

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt read a statement Thursday from President Donald Trump saying he will decide on whether to get the U.S. directly involved in the Israel-Iran war within the next two weeks.

Leavitt acknowledged ongoing speculation about whether the Trump administration would take direct action in the ongoing conflict before reading the president’s words.

“Regarding the ongoing situation in Iran: I know there has been a lot of speculation amongst all of you in the media regarding the president’s decision-making and whether or not the United States will be directly involved,” she said.

“In light of that news, I have a message directly from the president, and I quote: ‘Based on the fact that there is a substantial chance of negotiations, that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks,’” Leavitt continued.

Donald Trump: We Don’t Want a Long-Term War With Iran

President Donald Trump made clear Wednesday the administration is “not looking for a long-term war” with Iran.

Trump addressed concerns among members of the Make America Great Again base that the United States would be pulled into a long-term war, while fielding a question from Brian Glenn of Real America’s Voice.

“We’re not looking for a long-term war. We’re looking– I only want one thing–Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. That’s it,” Trump said. “I’m not looking long-term, short-term, and I’ve been saying that for 20 years. I’ve been saying it as a civilian, who got a lot of publicity, people would cover it.”

“Very simply, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. That’s it,” he continued. “It’s not a question of anything else, and if you did, you wouldn’t have much of a country because they would use it on us and use it on other people and they’d be a terror all over the world.”

Trump notably tweeted in 2011, before he even entered the political world, that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, and has been firm in his stance throughout his political career and the presidential campaign in 2024.
