By Alex Griswold. Potential 2016 Republican presidential candidate and attention-seeking businessman Donald Trump has donated at least $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation, despite his criticism of the foundation’s dealings.

During a New Hampshire campaign stop back in April, Trump railed against Hillary Clinton and the accusation that the former secretary of state traded political favors in favor for donations to the Clinton Foundation . . .

What Trump neglected to mention was his own donations to the foundation. Trump is listed on the Clinton Foundation’s donor page as having given somewhere between $100,001 and $250,000. Likewise, his wife Ivanka Trump is listed as having given somewhere between $5001 and $10,000. (Read more from “Trump Says He May Run but Donated at Least $100K to Clinton Foundation” HERE)

Trump Says He’s ‘Very Much Inclined’ to Run for President

By John DiStaso. Donald Trump, saying he is “very much inclined” to run for president, told about 300 Granite Staters at New England College on Monday afternoon that Hillary Clinton’s actions involving her family’s foundation are “criminal.”

Most in the audience at NEC’s Great Hall at the Simon Center were students. The real estate mogul held their attention for nearly an hour in the third of a four-stop visit. College officials said it was one the largest crowds ever for an event in the center.

Trump, who also visited Salem, Hudson and Concord on Monday, said Clinton “could go to jail for this.

“If this were Richard Nixon or a Republican,” he said, “if this were almost anybody, there would have been an investigation already” into allegations there is a connection between contributions to her family’s Clinton Foundation and actions she took as secretary of state. Trump 2016: Donald Trump Says He is Serious About Presidency

Photo Credit: Gage SkidmoreBy Robert Costa. This time, Donald J. Trump says, he really means it.

The billionaire real-estate mogul, who has long amounted to a one-man sideshow in GOP presidential politics, said in an interview Wednesday that he is “more serious” than ever about pursuing a run for the White House in 2016.

In recent days, Trump said, he has hired staffers in key primary states, retained an election attorney and delayed signing on for another season as host of NBC’s “The Celebrity Apprentice” because of his political projects.

“Everybody feels I’m doing this just to have fun or because it’s good for the brand,” Trump said in an interview with The Washington Post. “Well, it’s not fun. I’m not doing this for enjoyment. I’m doing this because the country is in serious trouble.”

The moves are the most significant steps yet by Trump, 68, toward a bona fide presidential bid, which he considered briefly and flamboyantly in 2011 before deciding against a run. (Read more about how Donald Trump says he is serious about a run HERE)

Reporter Mocks Scott Walker for Claiming to Communicate with God through Prayer

By Alex Griswold. Political Wire publisher Taegan Goddard caught a lot of flak on Twitter after mocking Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker for claiming he could discern God’s will, only to admit that he had no idea Christians believed they could communicate with God through prayer.

It all began with a rather snarky tweet about Walker’s comments that he was still waiting for “God’s calling” before he announced a presidential run.

Gov. Scott Walker’s office was unable to provide any transcripts of his conversations with God https://t.co/R8dcqhNpqR — Taegan Goddard (@politicalwire) February 24, 2015

Donald Trumps Slams Romney at Iowa Freedom Summit (+video)

By Mark Sappenfield. With all due respect, the Republican Party could probably do with a lot less of what was heard at the Iowa Freedom Summit Saturday.

On one hand, that might seem strange, considering that the Iowa Freedom Summit was all about getting America back to its “core principles of pro-growth economics, social conservatism, and a strong national defense,” according to the event website . . .

But then Donald Trump spoke.

He called Mitt Romney a “choker” for losing the 2012 presidential race to President Obama, and then said that Jeb Bush’s brother – former President George W. Bush – was the man who gave America Mr. Obama in the first place. (Read more about Trump at the Iowa Freedom Summit HERE)

Hilary Clinton Appears to be M.I.A While Other Possible 2016 Candidates Attend Iowa Freedom Summit

By Liz Kreutz. At a time when many potential 2016 presidential contenders appear to be starting the ignition of their campaigns, Hillary Clinton has pressed the brake pedal.

Or so it seems.

Clinton’s calendar, which was jam-packed throughout most of last year with paid speeches, award ceremonies, fundraisers, book tour stops, campaign appearances and official Clinton Foundation business, is now virtually empty.

Over the past six weeks, the likely Democratic presidential candidate has made just two public appearances -– both on the same day, and both in Canada. She doesn’t have another event scheduled until late next month . . .

Until then, Clinton appears to be lying low and staying out of the public eye. Meanwhile, much of the focus has turned toward potential Republican candidates like Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush and Rand Paul. A dozen others tested out their possible stump speeches at a summit in Iowa last weekend. (Read more from this story HERE)

Trump To Obama: Resign And I’ll Give You Free Golf For The Rest Of Your Life

Photo Credit: Daily CallerNews broke today that President Obama was rebuffed in his attempt to golf at several exclusive country clubs over the Labor Day weekend while he waited around for the wedding of an MSNBC host and his personal chef. (Must be nice to have that kind of downtime.)

The rejection wasn’t personal, it’s just that no one was willing to take the huge financial hit of clearing their tee time schedule of dues paying members to accommodate the president’s foursome. (The whole course has to be cleared for the president to play, for understandable security reasons.)

Since Labor Day weekend is a huge weekend for golf, no one was willing to anger people who give them money for a man who wants to take an ever-growing chunk of it.

Trump: ‘Clown’ Obama ‘The Biggest Liar I Know’

Photo Credit: WNDTeasing his audience, once again, with indications that he might be the man to succeed the president, Donald Trump declared to the Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans that “Barack Obama is a clown” and the “biggest liar I know,” drawing strong applause.

“We have a man in the White House who doesn’t have a clue,” said the billionaire real estate developer, who toyed with vying for the 2012 Republican Party presidential nomination.

Trump also noted it appears that Obama does not enjoy being president.

“It seems to me that Obama can’t wait to get out of the White House so he can go play golf. He doesn’t have the right instincts to be president. He isn’t tenacious and he isn’t tough,” he said.

Is Trump, then, the man with the instincts and tenacity needed to succeed in the Oval Office?

Trump: Why I Donated to Ted Cruz (+video)

Donald Trump isn’t ready to make his presidential endorsement just yet.

The real estate magnate clarified on Monday that a donation he made to Ted Cruz’s political action committee doesn’t mean that he’s supporting Cruz for president in 2016.

Appearing on “Fox and Friends,” Trump praised Cruz, saying, “He’s a nice guy. I get along with him…”

Trump: Politicians ‘All Bull—-, All Talk’

Billionaire Donald Trump framed himself as a job-creating anti-politician in a preview of his potential 2016 presidential pitch to a crowd of conservatives in New Hampshire Saturday.

Speaking at the New Hampshire Freedom Summit, a gathering of conservative activists and figures organized by Americans for Prosperity and Citizens United, Trump told the crowd that “we need somebody who’s gonna get things done, and politicians are all talk and no action.”

“All talk, it’s all bull—-,” he added. “It’s all talk, and it’s no action.”

In contrast, he touted his work improving an ice-skating rink in New York City’s Central Park and defended himself against what he said were erroneous reports that he had filed for bankruptcy. He also told the crowd that America needs “somebody that’s going to make the great deals for this country.”

“We need to make our country rich again,” Trump said.

Donald Trump Confirmed to Speak at CPAC 2014

Photo Credit: APReal estate magnate, television star, and conservative provocateur Donald Trump is a confirmed speaker for the upcoming 2014 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Breitbart News has learned.

Trump has been a hit at several recent CPACs, with the crowd loving his populist no-nonsense politics.

“Donald Trump is a successful entrepreneur who cares deeply about his country,” American Conservative Union (ACU) Chairman Al Cardenas said in a statement provided to Breitbart News. “He pulls no punches and always calls it like he sees it. Clearly a crowd favorite in the past, we welcome him to our 50th anniversary, CPAC 2014.”

CPAC is an annual gathering of thousands of conservatives in Washington, D.C. aimed at unifying the movement and connecting leaders with grassroots activists. The ACU hosts the event. It takes place from March 6 through March 8 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland, right outside Washington, D.C.

Trump: Putin Op-Ed Piece ‘Just Amazing’; Obama Making Us Look Bad

trumpDonald Trump said on Friday that President Barack Obama was being “outplayed” by Russian President Vladimir Putin, whose op-ed piece in The New York Times earlier this week was “just amazing.”

“We have a president that’s not looking very good,” the billionaire businessman told CNN. “It’s making us look very bad as a country — and, certainly, he’s looking very bad.”

Putin’s op-ed piece, published on Wednesday, was effective because “he said so much — and he said it in very nice way, but it wasn’t very nice at all,” Trump said. “It was tough. It was about as tough as you’re going to get. And Obama’s having a very tough time competing.

“The letter was very well-crafted,” he added. “This was about as well-crafted as you could’ve imagined. I don’t know if he wrote it, but it certainly was his thoughts. It covered so much territory.”

Donald Trump, ‘Trump University’ in $40 Million Lawsuit for ‘Deception at Every Stage’; Trump Says Suit is Political Extortion

New York’s attorney general sued Donald Trump for $40 million Saturday, saying the real estate mogul helped run a phony “Trump University” that promised to make students rich but instead steered them into expensive and mostly useless seminars, and even failed to deliver promised apprenticeships.

Trump shot back that the Democrat’s lawsuit is false and politically motivated.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says many of the 5,000 students who paid up to $35,000 thought they would at least meet Trump but instead all they got was their picture taken in front of a life-size picture of “The Apprentice” TV star.

“Trump University engaged in deception at every stage of consumers’ advancement through costly programs and caused real financial harm,” Schneiderman said. “Trump University, with Donald Trump’s knowledge and participation, relied on Trump’s name recognition and celebrity status to take advantage of consumers who believed in the Trump brand.”

But Trump’s attorney accused Schneiderman of trying to extort campaign contributions from the real estate mogul through his investigation of Trump. Attorney Michael D. Cohen told The Associated Press on Saturday that Schneiderman’s lawsuit was filled with falsehoods. Cohen said Trump and his university never defrauded anyone.
