Trump-Appointed Judge May Have Just Cost Republicans Nearly Half A Dozen House Seats

A three-judge federal panel ruled on Tuesday that Texas can’t use the GOP-drawn redistricting map designed to boost Republican chances in the 2026 midterm elections.

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed the new map into law in August, which would add up to five additional House seats for the Republican Party in the midterms, The Texas Tribune reported. However, the 2-1 Tuesday ruling asserts the map was “racially gerrymandered.”

A judge appointed by President Donald Trump joined a judge appointed by former President Obama in the ruling. A judge appointed by former President Ronald Reagan dissented.

“The public perception of this case is that it’s about politics. To be sure, politics played a role in drawing the 2025 Map,” the ruling states. “But it was much more than just politics. Substantial evidence shows that Texas racially gerrymandered the 2025 Map.”

Texas is anticipated to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, according to the Associated Press. (Read more from “Trump-Appointed Judge May Have Just Cost Republicans Nearly Half A Dozen House Seats” HERE)

Order Mix-Up Sparks Bloody, 7-Person Brawl Inside Texas Whataburger

A beef over a food order mix-up sparked a vicious, seven-person brawl inside a Texas Whataburger last week, according to reports and authorities.

Police were dispatched to the San Antonio Whataburger just after 3 a.m. last Sunday in response to the wild melee, the San Antonio Police Department told KSAT.

After cops arrived, they learned an order mix-up caused the fight to erupt among two groups of patrons, authorities said.

A viral video posted to social media after the incident captured separate fights breaking out within the group, where individuals were seen pummeling and kicking others to the floor.

Pictures of the aftermath showed blood covering the booths and floor of the fast food chain.

Houston-Based Company Makes LNG History in Alaska

Texas-based companies continue to lead the U.S. in oil and natural gas production – including in Alaska.

A Houston-based company has helped make history by completing the first liquified natural gas (LNG) delivery from Alaska’s North Slope beyond the arctic region this month.

Houston-based Harvest Midstream and Alaska’s Interior Gas Utility (IGU) have completed the first delivery of LNG via pipeline from Alaska’s North Slope to Fairbanks, making the delivery the first commercial sale of North Slope gas to communities beyond the Arctic region in U.S. history.

“For the first time in history, North Slope gas isn’t just staying on the Slope — it’s reaching beyond to power Alaska’s future,” Harvest CEO Jason Rebrook said. “This project unlocks clean, reliable energy for Interior families and businesses and shows what’s possible when we work together to build Alaska’s energy security.”

Harvest’s North Slope LNG facility near Deadhorse, Alaska, will produce up to 150,000 gallons a day, triple the capacity of IGU’s current plant. Deliveries are projected to surpass 8 million cubic feet of natural gas a day as IGU expands its infrastructure and converts customers over to natural gas service, it says. Homeowner Charged After 11-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot Playing ‘Ding Dong Ditch’

A homeowner who allegedly fatally shot an 11-year-old boy playing “ding dong ditch” over the weekend has been charged with murder, cops said Tuesday.

Gonzalo Leon Jr., 42, is accused of gunning down Julian Guzman just moments after the child rang the doorbell of his Houston home late Saturday.

The boy had been playing the prank, which involves ringing a doorbell and then fleeing to mess with homeowners, with a group of his friends at the time.

“Officers were told that Guzman was ringing doorbells of homes in the area and running away,” police said in a statement.

“A witness stated Guzman was running from a house after ringing the doorbell just prior to suffering a gunshot wound.” . . .

The boy, meanwhile, was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead on Sunday, according to cops. (Read more from “Homeowner Charged After 11-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot Playing ‘Ding Dong Ditch’” HERE)

Texas Redistricting Standoff Is Over: Democrats Will Reportedly Return to State House

The Texas Democrats who fled the state to avoid a redistricting vote have decided to return, according to multiple sources that spoke to KTRK-TV.

Republicans had threatened to cut off their paychecks and even vacate their seats if they did not return to allow a quorum and proceed with official business. Democrats have been trying to shut down the approval of a redistricting map that some say would give Republicans a five-seat advantage in the U.S. House.

The KTRK report said the fleeing Democrats believe they have accomplished their goals of bringing national awareness to the redistricting effort and stopping a first special session.

After KTRK reported the development, it received a statement from a spokesperson for the Texas Democratic Caucus.

“Members are still assessing their strategies going forward and are in a private meeting to make decisions about future plans currently,” the statement reads. (Read more from “Texas Redistricting Standoff Is Over: Democrats Will Reportedly Return to State House” HERE)

Texas Democrats Arrest Warrants Issued After Fleeing Redistricting Vote

The Texas House has voted to issue arrest warrants for dozens of Democratic lawmakers who fled the state to avoid voting on a redistricting proposal backed by former President Donald Trump. The move, aimed at restoring quorum and proceeding with the legislative agenda, marks a significant escalation in a long-simmering partisan standoff.

On Monday, Texas lawmakers passed the motion to authorize the arrest of Democrats who left for Illinois and other states, including New York and Massachusetts, in a coordinated attempt to deny the Legislature the quorum needed to vote on newly drawn congressional maps. These maps are designed to establish five additional Republican-leaning districts ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

Governor Greg Abbott (R) warned that the absent legislators would face consequences, including a $500 daily fine, removal from office, and arrest. “They have a constitutional duty to be here, and they’re not above the law,” Abbott said. “They cannot just abandon their responsibilities and expect no consequences.”

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton echoed those sentiments, calling for immediate enforcement: “They need to be found, arrested, and returned to the Capitol so the people’s work can continue.”

Meanwhile, Democratic governors such as Illinois’ J.B. Pritzker have stepped in to offer protection and support to the absent lawmakers. While Pritzker pledged to shield the legislators from legal repercussions within his jurisdiction, he stopped short of covering any financial penalties.

The walkout, which began Sunday, was a deliberate move to derail the redistricting process by eliminating the quorum required to proceed. But by Monday’s 3 p.m. deadline—set by Abbott—many Democrats had failed to return, triggering the House’s decision to act.

Supporters of the redistricting effort argue that the new maps reflect the will of Texas voters and are aligned with constitutional requirements. “This is about fairness and representation,” said one GOP representative. “It’s not democratic to hijack the process because you don’t like the outcome.”

The issuance of Texas Democrats arrest warrants underscores growing political tensions in the Lone Star State and signals that Republican leadership is prepared to take aggressive legal steps to enforce legislative order.

As the showdown continues, all eyes are on whether the absent lawmakers will return voluntarily—or be brought back in handcuffs.

Pro-Life Politician at Center of Explosive Scandal After Shocking Claims Surface

A Texas state lawmaker known for his strong pro-life stance has found himself at the center of a firestorm following bombshell allegations from a woman who claims to have had a years-long relationship with him.

The woman, identified as Alex Grace, posted a video online detailing what she says was a secret affair with Texas state Rep. Giovanni Capriglione that began when she was just 18 years old. In her account, she alleges that the politician provided cash for private “meetups” and even claims he funded multiple abortions — accusations he strongly denies.

The claims come just days after the politician abruptly ended his reelection campaign. In a statement following the allegations, he admitted to an affair but rejected the most damaging claims, saying he intends to pursue legal action.

“Years ago, I selfishly had an affair. I’m not proud of this. Thank God my wife and family forgave me, and we moved past it and have the strong marriage we do today,” Capriglione said. “I have never, nor would I ever, pay for an abortion.”

Grace’s story paints a very different picture, describing secret meetups at offices, hotels, and homes. She also claimed there were instances where cash was exchanged under bizarre circumstances, including one involving a location behind a family restaurant chain. She claimed that at one point, she was told to collect cash left behind a dumpster near a Chuck E. Cheese.

The lawmaker, 52, has long branded himself as a staunch pro-life leader with a 100% voting record against abortion, even spearheading legislation to toughen restrictions. His sudden exit from the political race has left many wondering what comes next as both sides stand by their stories.

Grace says she is speaking out now to reveal the truth about the man behind the political persona, while the politician says his marriage has survived past mistakes and insists the rest of the claims are false.

A devastated mother recalled the last time she talked to her daughter before she went missing in the deadly Texas floods.

During an interview on “The Will Cain Show,” Tanya Powell, mother to 21-year-old Ella Cahill, described the last call she received from her daughter.

Powell said that her daughter was with her boyfriend at his home with other friends when flood waters swept the home away.

“That’s the last we’ve heard from them and the entire house is gone. It’s just a slab left,” Powell said through tears.

Powell said the bodies of two of the other kids who were at the house had been found and that they are just trying to recover Ella and her boyfriend, who were high school sweethearts.

Monumental Cleanup, Recovery Efforts Paused as Flooding Returns to Deadly Texas Rivers

One of the largest, most complex rescue and recovery efforts in Texas history was put on hold Sunday as flooding returned to the Guadalupe River in Central Texas. The task of meticulously searching through and clearing the miles of debris piles that remain continues to be a heartbreaking, painstaking task.

Breitbart Texas spoke with residents and volunteers in Kerrville who were busy at work, still clearing debris and searching for the missing, in the first full week since the flood ended. In the nine days since the deadly Independence Day flood, the death toll stands at 129, with 160 people still unaccounted for. In Kerr County alone, 103 deaths have been counted so far, 36 of whom are children.

More dangers returned to Texas river basins on Sunday as torrential rains fell in the Hill Country region. More floods returned to the Guadalupe River basin, and the Lampasas River rose by 30 feet during Sunday’s rains. Recovery and cleanup efforts are set to resume on Monday.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott said rescues were taking place on Sunday in San Saba, Lampasas, and Scnleicer Counties. Evacuation orders were carried out in Lampasas, Menard, Kimble, and Sutton Counties, the governor said.

Report: Death Toll Rises to 94 in Texas Flood Disaster, Including 27 Campers and Counselors

The death toll from the catastrophic flash flooding along the Guadalupe River in Texas has risen to 94 and includes several children attending a Christian summer camp in Kerr County, according to multiple reports. Officials initially announced the devastation late Saturday into Sunday.

The destruction follows unprecedented rainfall that caused the river to swell 26 feet in just 45 minutes, washing away homes, vehicles, and camp cabins in its path, according to multiple reports.

Among the dead are five young girls from Camp Mystic, a nearly century-old girls’ retreat in the Hill Country. The camp later confirmed that 27 campers and counselors are dead, while 10 other campers and one counselor are unaccounted for as of Monday afternoon, according to CNN.

Authorities have confirmed that Renee Smajstrla, 8; Sarah Marsh, 8; Janie Hunt, 9; Lila Bonner, 9; and Eloise Peck, 8, perished in the flood after being swept away early Friday morning while sleeping in their cabins, according to the New York Post.

Lila’s family said they are enduring “unimaginable grief.” Her best friend and cabinmate, Eloise, also died. (Read more from “Report: Death Toll Rises to 94 in Texas Flood Disaster, Including 27 Campers and Counselors” HERE)
