Obama giving away Alaska’s oil rich islands to Russia

Author’s note:  This is not a new issue.  In fact the Bush & Clinton administrations are directly at fault for the same inaction. A maritime agreement negotiated by the US State Department set the Russian boundary on the other side of the disputed islands, but no treaty has ratified this action.  Consequently, it is within the President’s power stop this giveaway.  The Alaska delegation’s failure to put pressure on the Administration is inexplicable. State Department Watch, an organization that assisted with this article, has confronted each administration & is currently confronting the Obama administration – and has been met by silence. I’m hoping this piece will help reinvigorate efforts to stop this handover.

The Obama administration, despite the nation’s economic woes, effectively killed the job-producing Keystone Pipeline last month. The Arab Spring is turning the oil production of Libya and other Arab nations over to the Muslim Brotherhood. Iraq is distancing itself from the U.S. And everyone recognizes that Iran, whose crude supplies are critical to the European economy, will do anything it can to frustrate America’s strategic interests. In the face of all of this, Obama insists on cutting back U.S. oil potential with outrageous restrictions.

Part of Obama’s apparent war against U.S. energy independence includes a foreign-aid program that directly threatens my state’s sovereign territory. Obama’s State Department is giving away seven strategic, resource-laden Alaskan islands to the Russians. Yes, to the Putin regime in the Kremlin.

The seven endangered islands in the Arctic Ocean and Bering Sea include one the size of Rhode Island and Delaware combined. The Russians are also to get the tens of thousands of square miles of oil-rich seabeds surrounding the islands. The Department of Interior estimates billions of barrels of oil are at stake.

The State Department has undertaken the giveaway in the guise of a maritime boundary agreement between Alaska and Siberia. Astoundingly, our federal government itself drew the line to put these seven Alaskan islands on the Russian side. But as an executive agreement, it could be reversed with the stroke of a pen by President Obama or Secretary Clinton.

The agreement was negotiated in total secrecy. The state of Alaska was not allowed to participate in the negotiations, nor was the public given any opportunity for comment. This is despite the fact the Alaska Legislature has passed resolutions of opposition – but the State Department doesn’t seem to care.

Giving away any part of Alaska should be grounds for a call for immediate impeachment of Obummer.

Where is big mouthed Don Old when we need him.

  • siteunseen

This is ridiculous! Why not let the people of Alaska buy the Islands and keep them for themselves, and make money off of the oil reserves? Don’t know if that is possible, but to give it to Russia is something rather unheard of. It doesn’t surprise me that the Clinton and Bush adminstrations were complicit in this. The same Oligarchy which has ruled this nation now for many years. The same insiders. We need to stop this. See Judge Napolitano’s last Freedom Watch Program. Did you know only 1/3 of Americans wanted the American Revolution, and 1/3 did not, and 1/3 did not care? Where are we now?

I keep reminding readers to check into the American
Communist goals of 1963…available online. Those goals will indicate what and why’s of the happenings in our country! Check ’em out!

Can you provide a link. The John Birch Society has been sending out the Red Flags on this type of action for years. You’re correct, this is Communism under a masquerade. What better way to spread Communism but through deceit and in the name of Liberty or Republicanism or Democratism. The “Bilderberger Group” are Communists in Cognito. Sure, they call themselves by different names, but they have the same agenda. Just as Communism/Masonry have similarities, and thus help one another in the conquering of our Liberty and our Constitution.

      • William Powell

Ditto to providing a link to the American Communist goals of 1963. I want to know more please.

Joe: don’t just write an article about this. Go to the Alaskan delegation, Palin, and Congress to put pressure on the unAmerican President Obama.

  • We need ot get some law and order into the Government, the Judicial watch and a sherrif form several states to take action when needed. If we sign a petition and get enough names on it we can do that. We can not trust a usuroer who has other goals fo rthe USA , other than good for Ameriocans, this is just a Dictatorship who i passin gout the spoils to the Msulim Brotherhood, as soon as they ar eset up we will be gone. We need to protect our country and ourselves by taking action , no one is going to do it for us, some have good ideas but you have to buy a book to find out what they are, some make a living just saying Ombama needs to be impeached, you can’t impeach an imposter, you have to arrest him as a criminal that he is. Some organizations talk a good game followed by the request fo rmoney, how much does it take to post what you htink is right and what people should do as a group ot stop all of this, it is not expensive but making a large orgaanization your meal ticket is, nothing gets done either. W eneed ot ban together and get osme watchdogs such as the Judicial watch in and the sherrifs, people who can’t be bought, real Americans, no think tanks, we can think ofr ourselves thank you. Lets see what we can do, email the Judicial watch and ask for their help, contact the moore legal institute and places liek them, no ACLU they are funded by Soros. try our best is all we can do.

Siteunseen: Excellent! You covered it all in a nutshell. The JBS Robert Welch’s Plan is Dr. Ron Paul’s Plan to return to the Constitution. Pray that it happens!

  • This piece of information fits into the puzzle of the Global Socialism theory.

Cap & Trade is being used to justify Global Socialism and the seizure / giveaway of US owned oil assets.

This is an impeachable offense. How can this Senate be so soft as to let this go without an impeachment?

And, why isn’t this in the MSM (mainstream media). The evidence of a Global Socialist conspiracy is mounting, and it seems to include the media, even Fox News now!

Here is another piece of the puzzle.

A US Senator reveals corruption at NOAA (the source of climate change data); and the MSM doesn’t even cover the story.

Appalling. Obama is disgusting, and the Press is just as bad.

That’s what happens, when we find out he wasn’t born in America. Self serving is all he is. IMPEACH, Now

  • Really Joe???

You would think that a graduate of Yale Law would actually know how do some research…guess not:

U.S. State Dept says that we never purchased them or ever laid claim to them. The AK Supreme Court ruled against it as well. The State Department Watch is scam website perpetuating a lie so that its owner can earn a dishonest living.

    • Joe Miller

I’m glad you brought both of those links up. But you really should read what you cite. As you may already know, I’ve responded to a number inquiries about Alaska’s Supreme Court decision as this red herring is frequently used by opponents to shut down debate. So let’s quote directly from the Alaska Court’s decision [issued in response to the question of whether four of the disputed arctic islands were subject to state jurisdiction (for the purposes recording real property)]:

“The question of sovereignty over the Arctic Islands is a subject committed to the executive and legislative branches of the United States government. See United States v. Louisiana, 363 U.S. 1, 35 (1960). Until and unless the United States government indicates that the Arctic Islands are part of the State of Alaska, the State has no duty to accept for recording documents affecting title to real property on the islands.”

In other words, the Alaska Court punted to the feds. The Alaska Courts made no findings of fact on the issue.

As to the State Department’s “fact sheet”, of course it’s going to publish something that supports what it secretly negotiated in the unratified Maritime Agreement. Ignore the ship captains’ logs, ignore the longitudinal line specifically described in the 1867 Treaty, etc. I don’t see any evidence, cites, etc. in the State Department’s self-serving “fact sheet” narrative that would convince any lawyer, from Yale or otherwise, that the we should ignore the giveaway.
Finally, I think it’s critically important to not forget that the Alaska was never given a seat the table during the negotiations that resulted in the unratified Maritime Agreement. The Alaska legislature repeatedly complained about this but to no avail.

I’m no O’bammie fan, in fact I despise [him], but clearly those islands are closer to Russia than Alaska; it’d be nice to have em but I don’t see how the US can claim em.

  • This is treason! This is absolutely treason! No other way to describe it! TREASON. Spelled T-R-E-A-S-O-N!

  • I saw this article earlier but it was a wordpress page. Is this actually happening, or just hype?

  • rm32644

FactCheck.com says this is all false, check it out. These Islands are closer to Russia than to the US, and they have never been seriously disputed.
