Mexico Warns Texas to Stop Refusing to Issue Illegal Alien Babies Birth Certificates

pb-110129-border1-jb.photoblog900The Mexican government is warning that Texas’ denial of birth certificates for U.S. children born here to undocumented immigrants stands to imperil the relationship between Mexico and the Lone Star State.

The concern was raised in an amicus brief filed Monday evening to lend support to immigrants parents who sued Texas after being denied birth certificates for their U.S.-born children, even after showing their “matrículas,” the ID cards issued by the Mexican consulate to undocumented immigrants.

Mexico says the practice stands in stark contrast to the historical practice among countries to accept passports or other forms of ID to issue birth certificates.

[It] not only jeopardizes their dignity and well-being, but could threaten the unique relationship between Mexico and Texas, the Mexican government said in a brief tied to a lawsuit filed against the state by Texas Civil Rights Project and Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid.

The lawsuit, the Texas Tribune reported, was filed on behalf of six U.S. citizen children and their undocumented parents, who came from Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala. Other groups since have joined the suit. (Read more from “Mexico Warns Texas Not to Refuse Its Immigrants’ Babies U.S. Birth Certificates” HERE)

so what? are they readying an invasion force…probably, but they are not troops, they have them down on their own southern wall..

    • CountryBoy

Their invasion force is already here….

Do you remember the movie Red Dawn……

  • maggie9876

Maybe, we could send Mexico, all of our deadbeats.

They don’t want our politicians either.

  • Russ

awe. so who in the world needs Mexico anyway??

  • brabbie2002

Since when does Mexico get to tell the U.S. states how to handle their affairs??? What the hell has that elephant eared oreo in the white house promised?

    • leewacker

Mexico has ALWAYS had their fingers in our affairs, and every time we do something they don’t like, they whine and cry like babies! Yet, I will say that during WWII, Mexico did its best to help us win! It is just that since then, they figure they’re owed something, and that something is the territories taken from them during the Mexican/American War. And, they will go to any lengths to get what they want!

      • 946towguy

Mexico was not our friend during the WW2. They tried to do what was solely in their best interests by claiming neutrality and making secret deals with the Hitler regime. They permitted German U-boats to operate from their waters, threatening American shipping and even had plans to assist Germany with an invasion of the Southwest.

  • henryknox

So now we depend on Mexico for our laws?

    • wandamurline

Being a Texan, I can tell you, we don’t depend on Mexico for anything and we don’t take kindly to being threatened. Mexico can basically piss off. My only concern is that an illegal criminal alien can file a law suit (is that not ridiculous) and some activist federal judge can rule on their behalf. Just another reason to put into effect a law whereby the voting citizens of America get to vote on job retention for these ahole judges every eight years…if we vote to kick them out, they are gone. We need to find out how many signatures nationwide we need to put this into effect…and term limits for the elitists in Washington.

        Right on !!!!

  • DaleBret

I think it would be a bad idea to empty our prisons by busing convicts to Mexico and dropping them off there. Not that anyone is suggesting it. But it would really damage relationships with Mexico, a country that sends folks to us who are working for drug cartels; if we released those we catch back into Mexico it would be downright unneighborly.

    • leewacker

How so? THEY are doing their best to take over the USA by sheer numbers anyway, and the cartels are one of their “armies!” Anchor babies is only another ploy to destroy the U.S.!

      • ArmyCombatVet

Simple solution, we place a carrier group off the Mexican coast line and we give them the option of either taking all of their fence jumping criminals back, pay to erect an impenetrable wall across the border and compensate us for the lost jobs and the billions it has cost the citizens of America to deal with this ongoing invasion, or we’re taking all of their natural resources as payback! We have a sovereign border with Mexico, crossing it illegally in massive numbers is an invasion, which is an act of war. It’s also a felony, not welcome to America. They either abide by our immigration laws or keep your ass the hell out of our dying nation!

Our politicians in both parties are lilly livered self-dealing traitors, who violate their oath of office on pretty much a daily basis. There is virtually little of no degree of separation between the two tyrannical parties. They enrich themselves and look the other way on Constitutional violations, while the nation dies around them. Leadership………what leadership!

    • frank jackson

      And the problem is???

  • Delia Chang

Migrating to America legally is, and should be, a thorough procedure meant to protect the interests of American citizens. It involves more than simply jumping a fence and heading north in pursuit of free health care, education, food stamps, and other handouts paid for by U.S. taxpayers.

We can no longer afford to “split the pot” with everyone who wants a piece. America is struggling enough as it is. Most of us are making below living wage and just had our health insurance forcefully taken away. I make 60k per year and my healthcare is up to $400 per month; compare this to my $25/month car insurance (from Insurance Panda) or my $13/month renters insurance from Gotham. Both private enterprise (take note, Obama).

Legal immigration means enduring rigorous hurdles like background checks to detect a criminal background or possible ties to terrorists; medical examinations to detect diseases still prevalent in third-world nations, but long since eradicated here; proof of financial solvency so as to prevent newcomers from becoming a burden on U.S. taxpayers.

Those who have jumped a fence into America in order to avoid our immigration checks are not immigrants. Rather, they are invading criminals, with no claim whatsoever to the welcome mat extended to legal immigrants.

Such people do not deserve recognition or sanction by the United States, and should be rounded up and deported as soon as possible, without exception.

In truth, illegal aliens have invaded our nation, leaving America vulnerable to undetected crime, terrorism, disease, and financial devastation at the hands of people with no legal or moral justification for being here.

    • RWS

Excellently phrased, Ms. Chang! The invaders have “no legal or moral justification for being here.”

    • Keith Davidson

      Well said.

    • kteissere

So well stated. I believe the 14th Amendment is more than clear regarding “aliens”. That Amendment was written to establish the slaves full citizenship and was written prior to the invasion of those jumping our borders.

Mexico needs to read their own immigration laws.

    This is a Win / Lose situation…..

Like a court in Texas is going to care what a bunch of future wet backs have to say.

  • wabby99

Mexico has no jurisdiction in this country. Tell them to go pounce sand and keep their pregnant illegals in their own country. I will NEVER acknowledge an illegal or child of an illegal as an American. Open borders is part of the agenda for the one world order. Until Mexico takes responsibility for its own people and stop drug cartels from entering this country we should put sanctions on them.

  • SmithWinston6478

Mexico has a lot of nerve telling America what to do with all the escapees from their miserable, corrupt, inopportune excuse for a country. Mexicans crossing the border illegally to enter the United States should be labeled as such and sent back. We BUILT OUR country. If Mexicans weren’t such an abject failures at government, their people would not risk their lives trying to escape. They have draconian laws regarding illegals breaking in. If we excuse parental lawbreaking so as not to ‘punish the children,’ why not forgive the crimes of all perpetrators with kids? American citizens are reaching the limits of their patience.

“If fences don’t work, why is there one around the Whitehouse?” ~ Dr. Charles Krauthammer

    • leewacker

That fence around the white house has very sharp points on it, too! Now, is that very neighborly? I heard a rumor that it was also electrified–that would really be great if some toddler wanted to lean on it—-Lordy–I hope that isn’t true!

  • kunling

Texas! Well done! Mexico! UP YOURS!!!

  • CaptTurbo

Buck Fexico and Buck Ofama too!

  • texastrapper

You know back in 1836, we in Texas SHOWED what we thought of the Mexican government, and we can do it AGAIN.

    • leewacker

Have you ever noticed the US seems to have to fight a country TWICE to get it through their heads we mean business? Germany and England pulled that trick, learning the hard way. Japan has been wise enough not to follow their lead, and Vietnam went the business route. But, Mexico is one of those hard-headed countries who might try war again (well, they are, in a way–what with their cartels shooting at our law enforcement people, and the hordes of illegals), and it will only be a repeat of the last time—BUT—this time, we shouldn’t allow the president, whomever it might be, give the country back to them–we should KEEP Mexico, and turn it into some more STATES for US! Somehow, I don’t think the common Mexican citizen would mind—look at the benefits our Constitution and Bill of Rights could give them!

  • Rocknrobyn

“Mexico Warns Texas Not to Refuse Its Immigrants’ Babies U.S. Birth Certificates” or else? Or what, you’ll stop sending your pregnant women over to give birth in America? OK then!

    • leewacker

Maybe we should start sending OUR pregnant women down there! Be as it may, I have known men and women here in the states who went down there for medical attention, and raved about the fine care they had! I also remember reading about a Mexican hospital just across the border from Nogales, Arizona in Nogales, Mexico, which is one of the best hospitals in Northern Mexico, but goes unused because the Mexicans don’t want THEIR medicine, but want to be treated in Texas or California. I meet an ambulance crew one time who had to go into Mexico some 700 miles to pick up a very sick child who was being rushed to Children’s Hospital in Phoenix for treatment (I don’t recall what was wrong with her). Why wasn’t the child treated in Mexico City, I asked. The ambulance crew wondered that, too, actually brought the child’s doctor and mom with them, but, they were wondering why the child wasn’t flown to Phoenix—seems the little girl’s area had NO way to get a plane in! The ambulance had a time getting to her hospital, but they made it, and got her back to Phoenix in record time. They said the Mexican authorities actually cleared the highways for them (if anyone has ever tried to drive in Mexico, there are times it is a hair-raising experience!), and they couldn’t pay for gas at all–the Mexicans and Americans along the route made the trip as easy as they could for the crew and the child. But, they made it, and the little girl survived! I don’t know what happened after that, but all that matters is that the little girl survived.

Mexico has never accepted the fact they lost the Mexican/American War, and just because President Polk was far too nice in returning their main country to them, they have been trying their best to get the territories they lost to the USA ever since! This is just another trick of theirs to get more and more MEXICAN Nationals recognized as Americans! This idea doesn’t work in the reverse, as AMERICAN citizens who are born in Mexico are NOT recognized as Mexican citizens, but as citizens of the United States! Why must we Americans be expected to be so nice to foreigners, we have NEVER had our country to ourselves, for ourselves and BY ourselves since we became a country! It is high time for the worthless, spineless Congress to stand up for America and AMERICANs and declare our nation to be free and clear of any foreign entanglements—just as the Founding Fathers wished! We also don’t need any foreign-born faux presidents to say differently either! Elect a REAL AMERICAN, one who was born here, educated here, married here, and has REAL AMERICAN children, and make sure that president fulfills ALL criteria to be our leader!

  • Dee Grant

Since when do we take orders from Mexico? We don’t depend on them for anything. .they depend on us. If someone is illegal, they have no rights here and have no say. So don’t even try to tell us what to do.

    • 946towguy

We depend on Mexico to sell us the oil that they steal from us by slant drilling.

  • 946towguy

The Matricula Consular is not recognized as an I.D. by the U.S. Government. If one shows up at a federal facility that requires ID for entry with one, they will be denied entry. ts purpose is to eliminate the need to carry a passport on the person at all times while in The Unted States, to notify law enforcement or emergency personnel that the person is a citizen of Mexico and provides contact information for the Mexican consulate that issued the card. The Alien is still required to possess a Mexican Passport issued by their country, or a Border Crosser Card issued by ours which may be stored in a safe location to prevent theft.

In any case, the action by Mexico, claiming jurisdiction of these persons PROVES that these persons born in The United States are NOT subjects of U.S. jurisdiction and are therefore NOT CITIZENS.
