Allen West: Obama Complains About Fake Racism Because He’s “Devoid of Character” (+video)

0 (83)President Barack Obama has come under increasing criticism for the consistent failure of his policies both domestically and around the world. Because his policies are based on liberal ideas that have failed time and time again in history, he has no way–either with logic or with evidence–to argue for his position.

Obama’s favorite argument is to accuse anyone who disagrees with his polices of racism. Former U.S. Representative Allen West, a military veteran and leading black conservative, says he has had enough of it.

West recent spoke at the Western Conservative Conference in Denver, the theme of which was “America at Its Best,” and refuted once and for all the idea that conservatives–and, increasingly, all Americans–stand in opposition to Obama’s policies because of the president’s race. “The first thing about America being at its best is the fact that a young man born in 1961 in the inner city of Atlanta, Georgia can stand here before you in the Western Conservative Conference, ” West said. “And it is not based upon the color of his skin, but it’s about the content of his character.”

West says that conservatives haven’t done enough to describe for Americans their hopeful vision of what America at its best can look like, giving liberals an open door to persuade people with “sound bites” that offer the hope Americans want and need. “And Americans fall for it,” he said.

Darth Vader is Polling Higher than All Potential 2016 Presidential Candidates

On Tuesday FiveThirtyEight released the results of a poll of Americans’ opinions on the “Star Wars” universe. Not surprisingly, Jar Jar Binks is the most reviled character in the series. As Walt Hickey notes, the Gungan from Naboo posted lower favorability numbers than Emperor Palpatine, “the actual personification of evil in the galaxy.”

On the other hand, with a net favorability of -8, Jar Jar is considerably more popular than the U.S. Congress, which currently enjoys a net favorability rating of -65. In fact, the last time congressional net favorability was above that was February 2005. Incidentally this was just before the release date of “Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith,” which marked Jar Jar’s last appearance on the big screen.

By Tony Lee.

Nearly all of the illegal immigrant children who have been apprehended along the U.S.-Mexico border in the last two years have been teenagers.

According to a new Pew Research report, in fiscal year 2013, 91% of illegal immigrant “children” apprehended at the border were teenagers. Of the nearly 60,000 illegal immigrant “children” who were apprehended since October of last year, 84% have been teenagers.

Pew obtained the government figures through a Freedom of Information Act request, and the numbers paint “the first publicly available detailed portrait of the age and home country of child migrants —unaccompanied and accompanied – caught at the U.S.-Mexico border from Oct. 1, 2012, to May 31, 2014.”

Fake cop allegedly targeted Central American aliens for sexual assault

By Adelle Nazarian.

A licensed San Francisco security guard allegedly posed as a police officer and attempted to sexually assault immigrant men by luring them into his home.

Authorities have alleged that Jeffrey Bugai, 35, convinced at least two men with limited English-speaking abilities to come to his home, where he proceeded to drug them, handcuff them, and force them to perform sexual acts, according to the San Franciso Chronicle.

It is not known how many victims Bugai might have assaulted, as police believe the individuals Bugai allegedly preyed upon are not coming forward for fear of being deported. Authorities also believe Bugai may have threatened his victims with deportation and police retaliation, notes the Chronicle.

Iran Calls on Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas to ‘Ink Defense Pact’ Against Israel

By Joshua Levitt.

Iran’s semi-official state news agency Fars on Tuesday cited Commander of Iran’s Basij Force, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi, as calling on the “resistance groups in Palestine, Syria and Lebanon to sign a defense treaty to help and support each other” against Israel.

“We ask the resistance forces in Palestine, Syria and Lebanon to endorse a defense pact so that an attack on any of them will be an attack on all of them and if the Zionist regime makes an aggression against any of them, all of them will grow united to confront it,” Naqdi said in Tehran on Monday night.

Fars’s brazen headline, ‘Iran Urges Palestinian, Syrian, Lebanese Resistance Groups to Ink Defense Pact,’ was further confirmation of accusations made by U.S. Congressman Ed Royce, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, that Tehran’s foreign policy is “subversive, sectarian, and set on goals that would come at the expense of U.S. interests in the region.”

Pundits have long accused Iran of working through its proxies in Syria, Lebanon and Gaza, but Israel’s Operation Protective Edge against Hamas in Gaza has brought what had been said in private out into the open, with Iranian leaders proudly announcing that they have been supplying Hamas with missiles and drones, even as Iranian diplomats try to convince the world they are peaceful nation deserving of a nuclear program.

WATCH: Rep. Gowdy Slams IRS Commissioner for Dragging Feet on Congressional Investigation

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) on Wednesday slammed IRS Commissioner John Koskinen for failing to help answer questions about Congress’s investigation into the IRS targeting scandal, and instead arguing that he can’t do anything while the Inspector General’s investigation into the IRS is ongoing.

Koskinen appeared before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, where he said several times that he was unable to help answer some of Congress’s questions because of the IG investigation. But Gowdy said there are no rules prohibiting Koskinen from helping more.

“I find this confounding,” Gowdy said. “I find it vexing, that once the IG is involved, nobody else can do anything. That is not supported by the law.”

Koskinen said it’s his personal view that he should not interfere with the IG once it starts an investigation. “Our policy is… that if the IG starts an investigation, the agency will not themselves run a competing investigation to try to get there first,” he said.

Sarah Palin Endorses Joe Carr for Senate Against Lamar Alexander

On Wednesday, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin endorsed conservative Tennessee state representative Joe Carr in his primary bid to oust incumbent Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN).

Carr has been hammering Alexander before the August 7th primary for voting for the Senate’s Gang of Eight comprehensive amnesty bill even after he was warned by law enforcement officials that it would exacerbate the border crisis. Even Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) voted against the final bill.

Palin thanked Alexander for his service and then promptly said it is time for new leaders who will have the guts to tell the Obama administration, “no mas.”

“Unfortunately, advocating and voting for amnesty, cash for clunkers, bailouts, raising the debt ceiling, and many controversial Obama administration nominees has marred the incumbent’s record,” Palin wrote on her Facebook page. “It’s time for a change.”

Palin’s announcement comes a day after conservative talk radio host Laura Ingraham, who powered Dave Brat to a shocking upset win over House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) last month, campaigned for Brat in Tennessee on Tuesday evening.

The Secret Government Rulebook For Labeling You a Terrorist

The Obama administration has quietly approved a substantial expansion of the terrorist watchlist system, authorizing a secret process that requires neither “concrete facts” nor “irrefutable evidence” to designate an American or foreigner as a terrorist, according to a key government document obtained by The Intercept.

The “March 2013 Watchlisting Guidance,” a 166-page document issued last year by the National Counterterrorism Center, spells out the government’s secret rules for putting individuals on its main terrorist database, as well as the no fly list and the selectee list, which triggers enhanced screening at airports and border crossings. The new guidelines allow individuals to be designated as representatives of terror organizations without any evidence they are actually connected to such organizations, and it gives a single White House official the unilateral authority to place “entire categories” of people the government is tracking onto the no fly and selectee lists. It broadens the authority of government officials to “nominate” people to the watchlists based on what is vaguely described as “fragmentary information.” It also allows for dead people to be watchlisted.

Over the years, the Obama and Bush Administrations have fiercely resisted disclosing the criteria for placing names on the databases—though the guidelines are officially labeled as unclassified. In May, Attorney General Eric Holder even invoked the state secrets privilege to prevent watchlisting guidelines from being disclosed in litigation launched by an American who was on the no fly list. In an affidavit, Holder called them a “clear roadmap” to the government’s terrorist-tracking apparatus, adding: “The Watchlisting Guidance, although unclassified, contains national security information that, if disclosed … could cause significant harm to national security.”

The rulebook, which The Intercept is publishing in full, was developed behind closed doors by representatives of the nation’s intelligence, military, and law-enforcement establishment, including the Pentagon, CIA, NSA, and FBI. Emblazoned with the crests of 19 agencies, it offers the most complete and revealing look into the secret history of the government’s terror list policies to date. It reveals a confounding and convoluted system filled with exceptions to its own rules, and it relies on the elastic concept of “reasonable suspicion” as a standard for determining whether someone is a possible threat. Because the government tracks “suspected terrorists” as well as “known terrorists,” individuals can be watchlisted if they are suspected of being a suspected terrorist, or if they are suspected of associating with people who are suspected of terrorism activity.

Ex-Planned Parenthood Director: They Told Me Every Baby Killed in Abortion Made Them $313.29

In a new expose’ video released today, a former Planned Parenthood abortion clinic director says Planned Parenthood put a price on the value of a human life: $313.29.

That’s the amount of money Abby Johnson says the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic she ran in south Texas would make every time it would kill a baby in an abortion. Johnson, who is now pro-life, released a video this morning exposing the abortion quotas that take place at Planned Parenthood.

In the video, Johnson says her supervisor informed her that her clinic needed to double the number of abortions it was doing and that it should be killing 1,135 babies per year to make the financial goals set up for her clinic by Planned Parenthood’s head honchos.

“This was bothersome to me as I truly believed that our goal was to reduce the number of abortions…after all, that’s what we always said to the media,” Johnson said. “When I voiced my concerns to my supervisor, she laughed and said, ‘But Abby, abortion is how we make our money.’”

Kerry, Aides Undergo Metal Detector Screening Before Meeting With Egyptian President

Secretary of State John Kerry defied a Federal Aviation Administration ban and flew into Israel’s main airport Wednesday in a sign of sheer will to achieve a cease-fire agreement in the warring Gaza Strip despite little evidence of progress in ongoing negotiations aimed at halting fighting that’s left at least 31 Israelis and 650 Palestinians dead.

Kerry’s arrival in Israel came as Israeli troops battled Hamas militants near a southern Gaza Strip town as dozens of Palestinian families trapped by the fighting scrambled to flee the area.

It also came as Israel closed the border crossing into Gaza at Erez “until further notice,” citing the heavy fighting.

Kerry planned to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon during what appeared to be a crucial day in the flailing talks.

Kerry reported some progress, reports the Reuters news agency, which quotes him as saying soon after he got to Jerusalem for a meeting with Ban,”We have certainly made some steps forward. There is still work to be done.”
