Climate Change Expert Sentenced to 32 Months for Fraud, Says Lying Was a ‘Rush’

Screen shot 2013-12-16 at 2.38.03 PM.JPGThe EPA’s highest-paid employee and a leading expert on climate change was sentenced to 32 months in federal prison Wednesday for lying to his bosses and saying he was a CIA spy working in Pakistan so he could avoid doing his real job.

John C. Beale’s crimes were “inexplicable” and “unbelievably egregious,” said Judge Ellen Huvelle in imposing the sentence in a Washington. D.C. federal court. Beale has also agreed to pay $1.3 million in restitution and forfeiture to the government . . .

“Why did I do this? Greed – simple greed – and I’m ashamed of that greed,” Beale told the court. He also said it was possible that he got a “rush” and a “sense of excitement” by telling people he was worked for the CIA. “It was something like an addiction,” he said.

Beale pled guilty in September to bilking the government out of nearly $1 million in salary and other benefits over a decade. He perpetrated his fraud largely by failing to show up at the EPA for months at a time, including one 18-month stretch starting in June 2011 when he did “absolutely no work,” as his lawyer acknowledged in a sentencing memo filed last week.

Florida Mayor Wants to Rename ‘Racist’ Old Dixie Highway After Obama

Thomas_Masters_c0-53-640-426_s561x327The Riviera Beach City Council in South Florida will vote Wednesday on the mayor’s proposal to rename Old Dixie Highway after President Obama.

“Each member will vote Yay or Nay to rid this city of a street name that still invokes memories of racism and slavery in the Old South” said Mayor Thomas Masters, a local NBC affiliate reported . . .

Transgender Madness: Anchorage Schools Allowing Boys to Use Girls’ Bathrooms, Locker Rooms

Transgender TroopIn yet another indicator that Alaska is not immune from the insanity that has gripped much of the rest of the nation, the Anchorage school district is implementing a directive from its “Compliance/Equal Employment Opportunity Office” mandating that boys (or girls) who prefer to use the restrooms or locker rooms of the opposite sex be allowed to do so.

Announced in the Compliance/Equal Employment Opportunity Office’s “Administrative Guidelines: Working with Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Students and Employees,” dated July 20, 2015, the Anchorage school district is now accommodating any child who wants to share a bathroom or locker room with an opposite-sexed student.

This policy appears to be compulsory. In fact, the “guidelines” state that “staff should not require a transgender or gender nonconforming student/employee to use a separate, nonintegrated space unless requested by the individual student/employee.” This mandate is underlined. In other words, even if a little girl, or her parents, objects to a boy using shared shower space with that girl, those objections are ignored and the preferences of the child with the sexual disorder/perversion are honored.

Effectively, the Anchorage school district is saying, “To Hell with the privacy rights of a child of the opposite sex who wishes to avoid being ogled by her perverted classmate.”

Incredibly, the Equal Opportunity Office also provides that:

Any transgender or gender nonconforming student/employee who is uncomfortable using a shared restroom or locker room regardless of the reason; shall, upon request, be provided with a safe and non-stigmatizing alternative. This may include, for example, addition of a privacy partition or curtain, use of a nearby private restroom or office, or a separate changing schedule.

There is much more to Anchorage’s new “Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Students” policy than this, including eliminating compulsory “sex-segregated facilities.”

This transgender madness will only end if concerned citizens like you engage and speak boldly, unapologetically, and publicly about why such policies are detrimental to our community. If your efforts fail and the schools ignore you, yank your children out of their system and place them in alternative schooling, such as private or home schools.

First Openly Transgender Official Hired at White House

The White House announced Raffi Freedman-Gurspan’s appointment yesterday. Freedman-Gurspan is an outreach and recruitment director for presidential personnel in the Office of Personnel.

Transgender advocates say “she” is the first openly transgender official to serve in the White House.

HRC’s ‘Gender Inclusive Classrooms’ Guide: Say ‘Friends’ or ‘Students’ Instead of Girls and Boys

By Lauretta Brown. To help “create a classroom where students aren’t limited based on gender stereotypes,” teachers should address classes using words like “friends or “students” rather than girls and boys, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) advises in a new back-to-school guide.

The first tip suggested by the HRC’s Welcoming Schools Initiative is for teachers to avoid using gender to “divide and address students.” The guide claims that separating students for activities according to gender “can leave some students feeling out-of-place, making them distracted or isolated and not able to focus on learning.”

The guide recommends finding new, inventive ways of dividing students for activities. “When lining students up for lunch, rather than saying, ‘Girls line up first,’ try saying, ‘Anyone wearing a green shirt can line up,’ or ‘If your name has an E please line up.’”

The guide also advises teachers to “prepare for teachable moments” linking to suggested responses for questions that might come up in class such as: “How can a family have two moms [dads]? Which one is the real one?” and “Don’t you need a woman and a man to have a baby?”

The suggested responses to those questions are, “There are all kinds of families. Some have two moms or two dads,” and “Children come into families in many different ways, and the families that love the children may have a mom and a dad, some a mom, some a dad and some have two moms or two dads.” (Read more from this story HERE)

Must-See: Black Woman Rips Council Over Illegal Aliens

Screen-Shot-2015-08-18-at-10.09.21-AM-640x480By Michelle Moons. Chanell Temple, a black woman originally from Huntington Park, delivered a strident, politically incorrect speech against illegal immigration on Monday evening at the local city council meeting.

Temple, who now lives in the Hawthorne area of Los Angeles, was protesting the council’s recent decision to appoint two illegal aliens to city commissions. She told Breitbart News she had not intended to speak at the meeting, but was offended when someone compared illegal aliens to slaves. She added that she supports Donald Trump “a hundred percent.”

The Huntington Park City Council is being paid with taxpayers’ money to do a job within rules and regulations. According to your board behind you, it says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” I want to paraphrase that and say: Where there is no law, the people perish.

In the U.S. we have one rule of law. I also want to talk about the Fourteenth Amendment, which was added to the Constitution in regards to blacks being given birthright citizenship because blacks helped build this country, including the White House—twice.

Border Patrol Caught 135 Illegal Unaccompanied Children Daily in July

By Caroline May. Border patrol officers apprehended 4,177 unaccompanied alien children (UACs) attempting to illegally enter the U.S. during the month of July, according to new Customs and Border Protection data.

In that same time frame, CBP apprehended an additional 4,506 family units.

The new figures show the pace of illegal immigration by UACs and parents with children — while still less than last year’s surge — increasing. On average, CBP apprehended 135 UACs each day in July, the highest monthly level of UAC apprehensions this fiscal year.

Customs and Border Protection acknowledged last month’s increase and pointed to some of the same factors it did during last year’s massive influx, namely poor conditions in Central America and manipulative smugglers.

“In July, we experienced a slight increase over June in the number of unaccompanied children and family units apprehended,” the agency said in a statement. (Read more from this story HERE)

Sharpton Just Put out a Shocking Call to Black Churches Nationwide – It Could Be His Most Dangerous Work Yet

downloadIf the Rev. Al Sharpton has his way, black American Christians will help Iran and President Obama get what they want.

“I am calling on ministers in black churches nationwide to go to their pulpits Sunday and have their parishioners call their senators and congressmen to vote yes on the Iran nuclear plan,” Sharpton said last week in his weekly Saturday rally in New York City.

Sharpton claimed black churches have a unique interest in the agreement.

“We have a disproportionate interest, being that if there is a war, our community is always disproportionately part of the armed services, and that a lot of the debate is by people who will not have family members who will be at risk,” Sharpton said. Despite Sharpton’s claim, official documents report that, as of 2014, the U.S. armed forces are 30.7 percent non-white.

Sharpton’s latest call continues a strong pro-treaty position on the part of black lawmakers. In July, Israel’s ambassador to the United States, Ron Dermer, met with more than 30 members of the Congressional Black Caucus in an effort to get them to oppose the Iran deal. The responses were not positive.

Here Is the US’ Ranking of Nations for Overall Freedom

religious_freedom_1I always share the annual rankings when they’re released and I routinely cite EFW measures when writing about individual countries.

But even a wonky economist like me realizes that there is more to life than economic liberty. So I was very excited to see that Ian Vásquez of the Cato Institute and Tanja Porčnik of the Visio Institute have put together The Human Freedom Index.

Here’s their description of the Index and some of the key findings.

“The Human Freedom Index … presents a broad measure of human freedom, understood as the absence of coercive constraint. It uses 76 distinct indicators of personal and economic freedom … The HFI covers 152 countries for 2012, the most recent year for which sufficient data is available. … The United States is ranked in 20th place. Other countries rank as follows: Germany (12), Chile (18), Japan (28), France (33), Singapore (43), South Africa (70), India (75), Brazil (82), Russia (111), China (132), Nigeria (139), Saudi Arabia (141), Venezuela (144), Zimbabwe (149), and Iran (152)” . . .

“Countries in the top quartile of freedom enjoy a significantly higher per capita income ($30,006) than those in other quartiles; the per capita income in the least-free quartile is $2,615. The HFI finds a strong correlation between human freedom and democracy. Hong Kong is an outlier in this regard. The findings in the HFI suggest that freedom plays an important role in human well-being.”

‘Israel Must Be Obliterated’: New Iranian Video “Shows” Muslim Invasion of Jerusalem

Iran-Animation-Jerusalem-2-620x346A new video out of Iran presents the imagined scenario of Jerusalem being conquered by a military alliance of the country’s Revolutionary Guard forces and Hezbollah and Hamas terrorists, a Jewish news site reported Tuesday.

Quoting the Middle East terrorism research organization the Investigative Project, the Algemeiner reported that the video was released two weeks after the Iran nuclear deal was announced.

The video showed the fighters preparing for battle with their gear, headbands, shoes and weapons, then descending on Jerusalem.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has repeatedly pointed to Iran’s continued sponsorship of international terrorist groups including Hezbollah and to its dedication to destroying Israel as two reasons he believes the deal is dangerous for Israel.

The Algemeiner detailed the lineup of fighters portrayed in the video which, according to the Investigative Project, was produced by the Islamic Revolution Design House: “One dons the IRGC [Revolutionary Guards] insignia on his left arm, another the emblem of the Iran-backed Iraqi Shia Badr Organization. Obama Administration Objects as Russia Moves Ahead With Iran Missile Sale

Antey-2500_SAM_02-Russia-IranDespite a ban on arms shipments to Iran under international sanctions, Russia appears willing to proceed with the sale of advanced S-300 surface-to-air missiles to the country — in a development triggering objections from the Obama administration.

“We have long expressed our concerns over reports of the possible sale of this missile system to the Iranians,” Pentagon spokesman Capt. Jeff Davis told Fox News.

Russia, along with the U.S. and others, was a party to the recently struck Iran nuclear agreement, which keeps the arms embargo in place for five more years. A State Department official told Fox News this specific S-300 missile system is not technically prohibited under United Nations sanctions or the nuclear deal. But the department does not want the sale to proceed . . .

When asked to characterize the capability of Russia’s S-300 air defense system, a U.S. defense official with knowledge of Russia’s weapons systems told Fox News, “This is a very capable weapons system that can bring down U.S. or Israeli jet aircraft.”

The Obama administration has made its objections known before. When Russia first announced its plans to proceed with the sale in April, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said, “The United States has previously made known our objections to that sale, and I understand that Secretary Kerry had an opportunity to raise these concerns once again in a recent conversation with his Russian counterpart.” (Read more from “Obama Administration Objects as Russia Moves Ahead With Iran Missile Sale” HERE)
