Kerry Says Paris Agreement Crafted to Avoid Congress

Secretary of State John Kerry said Sunday the climate agreement reached this week in Paris did not contain any enforcement provisions because Congress would not have approved them.

“It doesn’t have mandatory targets for reduction and it doesn’t have an enforcement, compliance mechanism,” Kerry said during an interview on “Fox News Sunday.”

Kerry said such mechanisms were not included because Congress would have refused to greenlight the deal.

Binding legal requirements would have made the Paris agreement a treaty, requiring approval from two-thirds of the Senate. Because no climate change measure could close to the high bar in the chamber, the Paris deal was written to avoid it.

Kerry also said he hopes the climate agreement will send “a very powerful message to the marketplace” about where they should place their energy investments. (Read more from “Kerry Says Paris Agreement Crafted to Avoid Congress” HERE)

Conservative Group Calls for Federal Inquiry into Hillary Clinton Son-In-Law Request

Photo Credit: Time A conservative watchdog group has called for another federal investigation into Hillary Clinton’s communications during her time as Secretary of State, accusing Clinton of giving special government access to an investor in a deep-sea mining company because of his connections to Clinton’s son-in-law.

The group, called the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT), plans to file a complaint with the U.S. Office of Government Ethics on Monday.

“It appears that then Secretary Hillary Clinton gave a private company special access to the State Department based upon the company’s relationships with Secretary Clinton’s family members and donors to the Clinton Foundation,” the group says in the complaint first obtained by TIME.

The complaint comes two weeks after emails released by the State Department show that Clinton followed up on a special request from Marc Mezvinsky, Chelsea Clinton’s husband.

In May 2012, Harry Siklas, an investor in a deep-sea mining firm called Neptune Minerals, asked Mezvinsky to connect him with officials at the State Department in order to discuss mining regulations affecting his investments. Siklas noted he was lobbying for access on behalf of a friend who had founded the deep-sea mining firm. Disgraceful White House Hanukkah Celebration

Leave it to Barack Obama to turn what should be a celebration of the Jewish people’s survival in the face of adversity into a politicized rant celebrating the cause of the Palestinians, who want to “drive them into the sea,” as has been promised since the birth of the modern State of Israel.

Daniel Greenfield reports on what should have been the highlight of this year’s White House ceremony at Front Page Magazine:

the White House chose Susan Talve to light the Menorah. Talve is a member of the anti-Israel group T’ruah which is currently promoting assorted “soft BDS” programs. She’s also a Ferguson activist. Her behavior was deeply insulting to the religious Jewish community and made it clear that the White House was determined to hijack even a Chanukah party to promote an anti-Jewish agenda.

So the general conviviality of the Chanukah party was disrupted by a crazed rant from Susan Talve in which she seemed determined to jam as many leftist talking points as possible in her limited time. Instead of talking about Chanukah, Talve blathered on about getting, “guns off our streets” and to “clean up the fires of toxic nuclear waste”.

Talve screeched, “I stand here with my fierce family of clergy and black lives matter activists who took to the streets of Ferguson”.

The Global Delusion of Global Warming

The Global Climate Change insanity that is gripping the world is not the first time that an intellectually dishonest and misleading argument has seized the attention of and been championed by opinion makers and the most wealthy of business and financial leaders. Nor is it the first time that bad science has become the foundation for flawed policy and been embraced by political leaders. The blind religious devotion surrounding “Climate Change” reminds me of the time starting a little more than 100 years ago, when prominent scientists and physicians, with the backing of the leading industrialists and philanthropists, advocated selective breeding, sterilization and euthanasia in order to create the “best” populations:

The American eugenics movement was rooted in the biological determinist ideas of Sir Francis Galton, which originated in the 1880s. Galton studied the upper classes of Britain, and arrived at the conclusion that their social positions were due to a superior genetic makeup. Early proponents of eugenics believed that, through selective breeding, the human species should direct its own evolution. They tended to believe in the genetic superiority of Nordic, Germanic and Anglo-Saxon peoples; supported strict immigration and anti-miscegenation laws; and supported the forcible sterilization of the poor, disabled and “immoral”. Eugenics was also supported by African Americans intellectuals such as W. E. B. Du Bois, Thomas Wyatt Turner, and many academics at Tuskegee University, Howard University, and Hampton University; however they believed the best blacks were as good as the best whites and “The Talented Tenth” of all races should mix. W. E. B. Du Bois believed “only fit blacks should procreate to eradicate the race’s heritage of moral iniquity.”

The American eugenics movement received extensive funding from various corporate foundations including the Carnegie Institution, Rockefeller Foundation, and the Harriman railroad fortune. In 1906 J.H. Kellogg provided funding to help found the Race Betterment Foundation in Battle Creek, Michigan. The Eugenics Record Office (ERO) was founded in Cold Spring Harbor, New York in 1911 by the renowned biologist Charles B. Davenport, using money from both the Harriman railroad fortune and the Carnegie Institution. As late as the 1920s, the ERO was one of the leading organizations in the American eugenics movement. In years to come, the ERO collected a mass of family pedigrees and concluded that those who were unfit came from economically and socially poor backgrounds. Eugenicists such as Davenport, the psychologist Henry H. Goddard, Harry H. Laughlin, and the conservationist Madison Grant (all well respected in their time) began to lobby for various solutions to the problem of the “unfit”. Davenport favored immigration restriction and sterilization as primary methods; Goddard favored segregation in his The Kallikak Family; Grant favored all of the above and more, even entertaining the idea of extermination. The Eugenics Record Office later became the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.

Team Rand Mocks Mainstream Media for False Predictions About Debate

The presidential campaign of Sen. Rand Paul is mocking the mainstream media after several inside-the-beltway reporters falsely predicted that Paul wouldn’t make the debate stage here on Tuesday evening.

Paul, CNN announced on Sunday morning, will be right there on the main stage—not relegated to the undercard debate like New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was at the last debate.

“Some in the media have no integrity, instead of waiting until polling is actually announced they try to predetermine outcomes, only to once again find egg on their face,” Sergio Gor, Paul’s communications director, told Breitbart News exclusively.

Pretty much everyone from major media outlets, with the exception of Breitbart News Network, falsely reported ahead of CNN announcing the debate lineups that Paul wouldn’t be on the main stage.

“Kentucky Senator Rand Paul will almost certainly fail to qualify for the primetime stage at next Tuesday’s fifth Republican primary debate, according to an analysis of poll data conducted by Bloomberg,” Bloomberg Politics wrote. “Paul has been included in all four of the main presidential debates to this point in the campaign.” (Read more from “Team Rand Mocks Mainstream Media for False Predictions About Debate” HERE)

Rep. Steve King: ‘Jesus Never Ordered Anyone to Be Killed … But Muhammed Did’ [+video]

When MSNBC’s Chris Hayes tried to argue that the man who shot three people at a Planned Parenthood office in Colorado was no different than the radical Islamists who slaughtered 14 people in California, because the killers were following their religion, Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said it was not the same because Jesus never ordered people to kill but Muhammed did.

On the Dec. 9 edition of MSNBC’s All In with Chris Hayes, the host said, “Why is this any different? You, understandably, as a Christian, as someone of the faith, right, you look at what happened at Planned Parenthood and say, ‘that’s not the faith that I believe in.’”

Rep. King answered, “What Planned Parenthood is doing [aborting babies] is not the faith that I believe in.”

“But Jesus never ordered anyone to be killed,” said King, “and He never raised his hand to injure anyone specifically, but Muhammed did.”

Asteroid to Pass Earth on Christmas Eve

A large asteroid is approaching the Earth-moon system and will provide a good opportunity for radar observations in the days ahead. Asteroid 163899 – also known as 2003 SD220 – will come closest to Earth on Christmas Eve (December 24, 2015). It’ll pass at a safe distance, and there’s no need to worry about reports claiming it will skim the Earth, or cause earthquakes. At its closest, asteroid 2003 SD220 will be some 6,787,600 miles (11 million km) from our planet’s surface. That’s more than 28 times the Earth-moon distance! It’s so far away that only professional and advanced amateur astronomers are likely to capture optical images of this space rock.

Don’t believe any media suggesting that this space rock may cause earthquakes. Those assertions are misleading and incorrect. Even if 2003 SD220 were passing closer, it’s doubtful earthquakes would result. In fact, there’s no scientific evidence that an asteroid’s flyby can cause any seismic activity, unless it collides with Earth, but – in this case – that clearly will not be the case.

This asteroid isn’t a newly discovered object. Its name – 2003 SD220 – indicates its discovery year. The Lowell Observatory Near-Earth Object Search (LONEOS) program in Flagstaff, Arizona discovered the asteroid on September 29, 2003.

One notable feature of this asteroid is its large size. Preliminary estimates suggested a size of 0.7 miles to 1.5 miles (1.1 km to 2.5 km). Now the size estimate has been bumped up, after recent radar observations from the Arecibo telescope in Puerto Rico. The new observations suggest the asteroid is about 1.25 miles (2 km) long.

The asteroid is thought to have a very slow rotation of about one week. (Read more from “Asteroid to Pass Earth on Christmas Eve” HERE)

Black Leader Accuses Obama of Siding with Muslims

Only a day after two ISIS-inspired Muslims slaughtered 14 people at a Christmas party in San Bernardino, California, Attorney General Loretta Lynch went before a Muslim advocacy group and urged Muslim parents to contact the Justice Department and the Department of Education if their children are bullied at school.

Jesse Lee Peterson, a radio host and founder of the civil rights nonprofit BOND, believes Lynch and the Obama administration have their priorities backward if they worry more about an anti-Muslim backlash than about Islamic terror at a moment like this.

“No looking out for the Americans, no looking out for the concerned citizens, but take care of the Muslims,” Peterson, author of “The Antidote,” said recently on his radio show. “Had this attack been carried out by Christians, it would be a different story.

“Obama refused to call the slaying Islamic terror. Does anybody know why? Do you need more proof of where Obama is coming from, which side of the fence he’s on?”

Peterson was echoing his WND column from last Sunday, in which he wrote the San Bernardino shooting “shows Obama, many fellow Democrats and the media clearly side with our enemies, and they refuse to stand with the American people.” (Read more from “Black Leader Accuses Obama of Siding with Muslims” HERE)

Is This US State the next Terrorist Target?

By Daily Headlines. We’ve been reporting to you about the growing number of Missouri towns, experiencing a run on massive cell phone buys by middle eastern men with accents at several Walmart stores. Well this next item gone missing at should have everyone scared stiff.

Several Missouri law enforcement agencies have notified the FBI about a large amount of cell phone purchases from area Walmarts.

Now, another incident has some people wondering if we are in danger of a terrorist attack in our area. A large number of propane tanks have been reported stolen from several locations is Independence and Lee`s Summit.

Spain Arrests Terrorism Suspect in Plot Against Swedish Artist

By Raphael Minder. Spain on Friday announced the arrest of a suspect wanted by the United States in connection with terrorism activities, including a failed attempt to kill a Swedish cartoonist who had depicted the Prophet Muhammad with a dog’s body.

Spanish officials said the suspect, Ali Charaf Damache, was arrested in Barcelona, where he had been moving between hostels. The United States has been seeking the extradition of Mr. Damache, who is also accused of planning to set up terrorist training camps and kill several other Westerners.

Mr. Damache is a dual Algerian and Irish citizen who was arrested in Ireland in 2010, where he faced American extradition proceedings. But he was released this year after an Irish judge rejected the extradition request.

Jordi Jané, an official from the Catalan regional government in Barcelona, said during a news conference on Friday that Mr. Damache was the subject of an international arrest warrant, and that he had been detained on Thursday in Barcelona and then transferred overnight to Madrid. On Friday, Mr. Damache appeared before a judge in Spain’s national court, who ordered his provisional arrest. The American authorities now have 40 days to present Spain with another extradition request. (Read more from “Spain Arrests Terrorism Suspect in Plot Against Swedish Artist” HERE)

4 Insane Reasons Why Liberals Admire and Romanticize Islam

1. It enforces the narrative. Obvious, but it must be mentioned. Liberals have identified Muslims as an aggrieved minority, and this status means they’ll have the Muslim vote, but it also means they can never criticize, or tolerate criticism of, this declared Victim Group . . .

2. It makes them feel good. Liberalism is an inherently selfish ideology. It is, as I’ve explained, the worship of the self. Therefore any liberal idea or belief will be adopted primarily to serve the person who holds it. White liberals feel good when they get the opportunity to be knights in shining armor defending brown and black people from the opinions and judgments of other white people. More importantly, it makes them feel morally superior to those other white people, which alleviates some of their white guilt and strokes their ego in the process . . .

3. It’s all relative. Liberals don’t believe in rights and liberties for all people, as is evidenced by their immense affection for infanticide. For them, everything is relative, especially human rights. To put it simply, gays have rights here and women have rights here because this is where we live and where they live, and this is what we decided. Other cultures might decide other things, and who are we to judge? . . .

4. They hate Christianity. Everything in the world ultimately revolves around Christianity. Christ’s death and resurrection were the single most important events in the history of the universe, and now all people and all nations are finally defined by their acceptance or rejection of that truth. Liberalism rejects the truth, and it’s rejection is central to its existence, just as our acceptance is central to ours.
