‘Ditch and Switch’: Trump May Be Behind Mass Democratic Party Exodus in Pennsylvania

Nearly 46,000 Pennsylvania Democrats have gone Republican since the start of 2016, twice as many as have shifted the other way, as a wild primary fight continues to upend the business of politics as usual and challenge the status quo.

Needless to say, much of this movement is being attributed to the rise of Donald Trump and the so-called “Ditch and Switch” movement, which leans on lifelong Democrats to abandon the party, register Republican and help ensure Trump’s place in the November general election.

A website launched by two North Carolina sisters calling on Democrats to switch political parties and embrace Trump says, “For many years the Democratic Party has promoted agendas that most Americans did not agree with. Our country is deeply divided, and the silent majority has been bullied into silence by political posturing and underhanded agendas that favor the few while excluding the majority.”

The statement supports Dr. G. Terry Madonna’s theory that at least some of the 46,000 Democrats-turned-Republican in Pennsylvania belong to a disaffected class that felt overlooked by elected leaders, or at odds with Democratic party ethos.

“With the increase in support in exit polls for Trump among working class, blue-collar Democrats, it is my belief that these are people who fall into that genre,” said Madonna, who is director of the Center for Politics and Public Affairs at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster. Watch: Clinton Explains Why She Said One Thing to Chelsea, Something Else to Benghazi Families

Democrat Hillary Clinton says on the night of the Benghazi attacks on Sept. 11-12, 2012, she was dealing with “information that was changing, literally by the hour,” and she said her email to her daughter Chelsea on that night proves her point.

“At the time I e-mailed with my daughter, a terrorist group had taken credit for the attacks on our facility in Benghazi. Within 16, 18 hours, they rescinded taking credit. They did it all on social media. And the video did play a role,” Clinton insisted.

“We have captured one of the lead terrorists, and he admits it was both a terrorist attack and it was influenced by the video. This was fog of war. This was complicated. The most effective, comprehensive reports and studies demonstrate that.”

At Wednesday night’s Univision-hosted debate, moderator Jorge Ramos told Clinton, “I want to continue with the issue of trust. ”

He mentioned the email that Hillary sent to Chelsea on the night of the attacks, in which she blamed al Qaida for murdering Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. But some of the men’s families say Clinton later told them that the violence was sparked by a protest over a video that Muslims considered insulting. Trump Campaign Under Fire for ‘Assault’ on Reporter

Donald Trump’s campaign is denying charges that top campaign official Corey Lewandowski got rough with a reporter during an event in Jupiter, Florida late Tuesday . . .

After the GOP front-runner spoke at a televised press conference, [Michelle] Fields, according to her Breitbart report, attempted to ask Trump a question on affirmative action as he was exiting the room.

Trump “acknowledged the question,” Fields said, “but before he could answer I was jolted backwards.”

“Someone had grabbed me tightly by the arm and yanked me down,” she added. “I almost fell to the ground, but was able to maintain my balance. Nonetheless, I was shaken.”

Fields, who typically covers Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in the 2016 race and was filling in for a colleague at the Trump event, said she did not recognize who had grabbed her, but cited Washington Post reporter Ben Terris, a witness to the events. Abbas’ Fatah Praises ‘Heroic Martyr’ Who Murdered U.S. Veteran

Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah organization on Wednesday praised as a “heroic martyr” the killer of West Point graduate and U.S. Army veteran Taylor Force, according to an Israel-based media monitoring group.

On its Facebook page, Fatah posted a sketch of a man’s hand holding a knife over a map of “Palestine,” Palestinian Media Watch reported. Across the map is written “Bashar Masalha,” the name of the 22 year-old Palestinian who stabbed Force and 11 others in the Tel Aviv-Jaffa area on Tuesday.

Written on the arm of the person holding the knife in the sketch are the words, “the heroic martyr.”

Meanwhile a news report on official Palestinian Authority television stated in part, “A complex operation was carried out in Jaffa, or more precisely in the Jaffa port, by the Martyr – according to Hebrew sources and sources in Qalqilya – Bashar Masalha, 22 … in which 12 settlers were hurt, among them an American tourist who was killed, according to the Hebrew sources.”

Former Putin Aide Died of Blunt Force Trauma

An autopsy has found that blunt force trauma to the head was the cause of death for one of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s former aides whose body was found in a Washington hotel room.

District of Columbia police spokesman Officer Hugh Carew confirmed the autopsy results for Mikhail Lesin on Thursday. The D.C. Medical Examiner’s Office said in a statement that other contributing causes were blunt force injuries of the neck, torso, arms and legs.

The medical examiner found the manner of death to be undetermined. Carew says police continue to investigate Lesin’s death. His body was found at the Doyle Dupont Circle Hotel in November. (Read more from “Former Putin Aide Died of Blunt Force Trauma” HERE)

House Churches Multiplying Inside Iran Despite Persecution

Christianity is spreading swiftly inside Iran despite a government crackdown against house churches.

Some Christians argue the actions of the Islamic Republic’s have actually created an opposite effect.

A London-based organization that trains Iranian Christians reports hundreds of thousands of new Christians–former Muslims–are worshipping secretly in a rapidly accelerating house church movement inside the Islamic Republic.

According to The Christian Post, a source affiliated with the Pars Theological Centre said the rapid church growth will eventually change Iranian society.

“This is not a political movement at all, but it will have political implications because it is touching the core foundations of society. This is battling prostitution and drug addiction. If you want to live in a country that doesn’t fund terrorists, you have to develop the values of the grassroots,” the source said. Britain’s NHS Asks Moms Not to Abort Disabled Babies, but There’s a Morbid Reason Why

British organ transplant specialists want the country’s National Health Service to encourage parents considering aborting their disabled unborn children to carry them to term so their parts can be harvested.

While proponents say the harvesting won’t happen until the baby is dead, that could mean “brain-dead,” raising the prospect of other bodily functions being intentionally terminated at the optimum moment for removal of organs.

The practice has generated strong criticism from ethicists, and though pro-life advocates appreciate that officials would encourage parents to carry their children to term, they are criticizing the underlying idea that reduces babies to spare parts.

Dr. Anthony McCarthy, a bioethicist and the education director of the London-based Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC), told LifeSiteNews, “Babies should be spared abortion because they are babies – not because they are useful to others if taken to term.”

The issue was raised at a British Transplantation Society meeting in Glasgow last week, reported in the Daily Mail. There transplant surgeon Niad Ahmad reported that health officials would soon be trained to approach parents who have decided to abort their unborn children because of defects to carry them to term for harvesting. “A number of staff in the NHS are not aware that these organs can be used. They need to be aware. They can be transplanted. They work. And they work long term,” Dr. Ahmad reportedly told the gathering. Saddle up, Folks, It’s Time to Become a Prepper

Here is one of the most recent reasons why you should prepare. Use this article as an example of why your family and friends should also become preppers:

There is only one major reason governments all across the world have either already begun, or are planning to remove, higher-denomination paper currency from circulation. It has nothing to do with stopping drug deals or hampering terrorism. Surprisingly – at this point anyway – it also isn’t about actually gaining further control over the citizenry.

It’s about economics. For all intents and purposes, every government on earth is at best broke, or more likely saddled with massive debt. So aside from printing more money, what’s a hungry oligarchy to do?

Simple: force everyone into a cashless society … and then take the money they need directly from your bank account rather than picking your pocket . . .

Having supplies, food, guns and ammo is fantastic … assuming you know how to use them. However, if you never do figure out how to clean that gun, start that fire, fix that wound, purify that water or grow that crop, don’t worry. It’s still pretty sweet … for the folks who will be using all that stuff after you head off to the pearly gates to yell at St. Peter. Brand New, Surprising Poll Reveals ‘Best’ Candidate to Go up Against Clinton; Analysts Now Predict Brokered Convention

Among the reasons many Republicans list for opposing Donald Trump’s bid to become the party’s presidential nominee is the fact that, in head-to-head polling against presumptive Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton, the brash billionaire has repeatedly and decisively lost. A recent CNN/ORC poll showed a dramatic shift from previous reports, with Trump down a whopping eight points against Clinton.

Not only did both Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio come out on top against Clinton in that hypothetical match-up, the news got even worse for Trump when pollsters probed the favorability factor. Trump fared worse than anyone in either party with 6 in 10 respondents sharing an unfavorable opinion of him.

A subsequent poll conducted by NBC News and the Wall Street Journal confirms Trump would face a pronounced electoral deficit against Clinton if the general election were held soon. In a one-on-one race, respondents said they would give Clinton a 13-point margin of victory. Both Cruz and Rubio remain competitive with Hillary, the poll results found, as both Republicans finished within two points — or less than the survey’s margin of error — of the former secretary of state. Donald Trump to Storm Convention Just Shy of Delegate Threshold for Nomination

Donald Trump is on track to hand the Republican establishment an unprecedented defeat at the national convention in July, despite being outspent 3-1 by party leaders and their associates in their all-out effort to turn primary and caucus voters against him, according to a state-by-state delegate allocation analysis by The Washington Times.

By the time California and three other states count their votes from the last four primaries June 7, the brash billionaire businessman and TV star will be 74 or so delegates short of the 1,237 majority needed for the nomination, the analysis shows.

With so large a plurality in the offing, it is increasingly unlikely that the Republican establishment, fronted by 2012 presidential nominee Mitt Romney, will carry through with plans to change the convention rules to wrest the nomination from Mr. Trump and hand it to an establishment-approved candidate such as Marco Rubio or John Kasich, or even a noncandidate like House Speaker Paul D. Ryan, who is expected to be named the convention’s chairman and has the adoration of the party’s power brokers.

Oregon Militia Members Were Just Delivered Devastating News

The Oregon militia members who occupied a wildlife refuge in protest of the government could face decades in prison under a set of new criminal charges, including firearm offenses, theft of public property and damaging a Native American archaeological site.

Federal prosecutors in Portland have greatly expanded their case against brothers Ammon and Ryan Bundy and more than a dozen defendants who participated in the armed takeover of the Malheur national wildlife refuge in the high-profile standoff that began 2 January and dragged on for 41 days in rural Oregon.

Last month, after the final four occupiers surrendered to the FBI, officials arrested and charged a total of 25 people for their roles in the armed anti-government demonstration on public lands controlled by the federal government.

The rightwing activists, who traveled from across the US to protest the government’s land-use restrictions in the west, are all accused of using “force, intimidation and threats” to conspire against and impede government officials – a federal felony offense that carries a maximum sentence of six years in prison.

But on Wednesday, prosecutors unveiled a slew of new charges against 19 of the 25 defendants in the case – an indication that the federal government plans to aggressively target the protesters, some of whom could face more than 20 years in prison if convicted of all the offenses.
