Bioethicist: ‘We Have Commodified…Babies and Baby Parts’ [+video]

“Have we reached a point in our society where there effectively is an Amazon.com for human parts, entire babies?” Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.) asked the witnesses at a special hearing on bioethics and fetal tissue on Wednesday.

Dr. Gerard Kevin Donovan, a pediatrician and bioethicist at Georgetown University, responded that the practice of using tissue from aborted babies for government-funded research “shocks my conscience and it should shock the conscience of the nation.”

“You know, we have commodified what have been referred to as the ‘products of conception’ — I mean, babies and baby parts. And yes, they are for sale, supposedly to cover one’s costs, but those costs seem to be quite variable,” Donovan said.

“But even if they were given away free, it is shocking to be ordering what you want: ‘Can I have a boy fetus, or a girl fetus or a brain or a heart or a liver? . . .

Paige Comstock Cunningham, who heads The Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity, told the panel, “My concern is that researchers have come to count on induced abortion for their research…What have we come to where researchers need induced abortion to do their research?” (Read more from “Bioethicist: ‘We Have Commodified…Babies and Baby Parts'” HERE)

Obama and Clinton Reject a Future With American Oil

Saudi Arabia’s drifting dunes flow and ebb over 268 million acres of crude-filled desert, making it the oil-richest nation in the world.

America, once the richest nation in the world partly because of its own gigantic domestic oil reserves that flowed like our own rivers and lakes, is on its way to second-class status as a world power because the powers that be are choking off our new oil reserves, and letting the dollar-denominated debt flow instead.

At the core of this entire shift in power is a major change in players and ideologies leading up to our 21st century. And whether or not you think oil is the perfect fuel until a replacement can be found, or you want to see its obsolesce because of climate change, one thing is clear – An America that was once an oil leader has gone blind on oil.

Not to go all 7th grade history lesson on you, but remember that following World War II and under the tutelage of Presidents Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman, Saudi Arabia clearly fell under influences of the United States. We exchanged state-of-the-art military technology and protection for oil security.

However, in a very few short years the smooth political relationship between Riyadh and Washington was beginning to frazzle. In 1965 OPEC – which was founded in Iraq, by the way, and whose headquarters since 1965 has been tucked safely away from the Middle East in Vienna (what does that tell you about what they knew was coming?) – believed it was giving away its non-renewable resource for pennies on the dollar. Cause of Recurring Booms Remains a Mystery

By Nathan Ellgren. Unexplained loud booms have been affecting residents around Grundy County [in Missouri] for weeks, and the cause has yet to be determined.

“It’s weird because it’s unlike most booming noises you hear,” said Glen Briggs, the emergency management director of Grundy County. “If you hear a car crash or something like that, you can pretty well tell which direction it came from. When I heard it, I couldn’t identity which direction it came from. It resembled thunder, but there were no thunderstorms in the area.”

Trenton residents began reporting their experiences of these booms after they heard it for the first time Feb. 14.

“I instantly made a post on our emergency management Facebook page and asked if anyone else heard it,” Briggs said. “We had close to 100 people comment saying they heard it. Several people said they felt it. They described a loud thud, rattling, some saw flashes of light and smoke.”

Trenton police arrived in a matter of minutes to the area where residents were affected, but didn’t find anything out of the ordinary. (Read more from “Cause of Recurring Booms Remains a Mystery” HERE)

Strange Radio Bursts From Space Come in Clusters

By Marlowe Hood. Mysterious and powerful radio waves from deep space are coming in clusters, scientists revealed on Wednesday, having only discovered their existence a decade ago.

The repeated pulses emanate from well beyond the edge of the Milky Way Galaxy, according to a study published in the journal Nature.

It was previously thought that these so-called fast radio bursts (FRBs) — which can emit as much energy in a millisecond as the Sun emits in 10,000 years — were one-off phenomena.

Less than 20 have been detected since 2007, though more than 10,000 are suspected to occur every day.

Their origins remain unknown. Up to now, astronomers speculated that they were produced by cataclysmic events such as stars exploding into a supernovas, or neutron stars collapsing into black holes. (Read more from “Strange Radio Bursts From Space Come in Clusters” HERE)

Watch: Trump Just Gave Unifying Speech Following Major Wins – Starts It off Saying THIS to Cruz

After what can only be described as a very successful Super Tuesday evening for presidential candidate Donald Trump, he took to the stage at his Mara-a-Lago resort to give a victory speech that was not only celebratory, but also conciliatory towards his GOP rivals.

In particular, Trump reached out to Texas Senator Ted Cruz and congratulated him for his hard work in Texas. “I do congratulate Ted Cruz, because I know how hard Ted worked in Texas,” he said.

And while Trump has identified himself as a “unifier” in the past, tonight it was a central theme to his message. “I am a unifer,” he said. “I would love to see the Republican Party and everybody get together and unify.”

It seems likely that as Trump gets closer to being the Republican nominee, he will need to mend old wounds and unify the party behind him in the difficult fight against Hillary Clinton.

Trump expressed optimism that going forward, a Trump candidacy will not only win the Hispanic and African American vote, but also take votes away from the Democratic Party. “I think we’re going to be more inclusive… more unified, and I think we’re going to be a much bigger party,” said Trump. Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton Score Big Super Tuesday Primary Wins

By Andrew Rafferty. Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton closed in on their party’s presidential nominations by racking up big wins on Super Tuesday, though the rest of the field showed no signs of clearing the way for them just yet.

Clinton won seven states — Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Texas, and even Massachusetts, a state where rival Bernie Sanders was expected to run particularly strong. The former secretary of state fell to Sanders in his home state of Vermont, Oklahoma, Minnesota and Colorado.

Trump scored seven victories Tuesday in Massachusetts, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, and in Vermont, where NBC News declared him the apparent winner.

Sen. Ted Cruz picked up much-needed wins in his home state of Texas and in Oklahoma, and was the projected winner in the Alaska caucuses. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio picked up the first victory of his presidential campaign by winning the Minnesota caucuses, leaving John Kasich and Ben Carson as the only candidates without a No. 1 finish in a nominating contest. See Just How Many GOP Presidential Candidates Have RSVP’D to Carson’s Private Meeting Request

Dr. Ben Carson has requested an imminent meeting with the rest of the Republican presidential contenders — but so far no one has RSVP’d to his invitation.

Ahead of the Super Tuesday results, Carson’s campaign announced that as the doctor was “concerned with the lack of civility currently being displayed” in the Republican presidential contention, he called for a private meeting of all of the candidates ahead of the Fox News GOP debate in Detroit on March 3.

“A house divided cannot stand, and it is imperative the Republican Party exhibit unity by the candidates coming together with a pledge to talk about the many serious problems facing our country, instead of personally attacking each other,” Carson said Tuesday afternoon.

However, by late Tuesday night, his campaign said not a single candidate had responded to his request . . .

Carson didn’t fare too well during Super Tuesday, but nonetheless, the retired neurosurgeon vowed to stay in the presidential race “as long as he continues to receive revenue and support of ‘We the People,’” a campaign official told TheBlaze Tuesday night. Recently Released Hillary Emails Reveal Disturbing Ties to Muslim Brotherhood

A dispatch contained in the 1,500 pages of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s emails released last weekend provide insight into the level of support the U.S. was considering in 2012 for Egypt’s newly elected Muslim Brotherhood government.

On August 30, 2012, Robert D. Hormats, the under-secretary of state for economic affairs, wrote to Clinton’s then-Deputy Chief of Staff Jake Sullivan to update him on a meeting he held with Muslim Brotherhood Deputy Supreme Adviser Khairat al-Shater . . .

The email reveals Hormats and other U.S. diplomats discussed methods of cooperation with Shater, including an increase in American direct foreign investment.

Hormats wrote:

Anne Patterson, Bill Taylor, and I met with Muslim Brotherhood Deputy Supreme Guide Khairat al-Shater. He discussed broad principles of economic development based on 100 large infrastructure projects (over a billion dollars each) as part of Morsi’s Nadah (Renaissance Plan) Plan; ways of cooperating with the US to obtain support for these projects and for SMEs; and his hope for an IMF agreement and increased foreign direct investment from the US, the West, and the Arab world. He also noted that it was a priority for the GOE to build a true democratic system based on human rights and the rule of law.

Rand Paul Just Revealed the 2 Things That Will Make Him ‘Un-Suspend’ His Presidential Campaign

Earlier last month, senator and former presidential hopeful Rand Paul announced that he was suspending his campaign after making little headway in the GOP field. Now, however, he has announced that he would “un-suspend” his campaign if he received the endorsement of a particular New Hampshire newspaper.

Prompted by a tweet from the newspaper the New Hampshire Union Leader, which expressed regret for having endorsed Chris Christie as the GOP nominee in November, Rand Paul offered them a chance at redemption, “endorse me and declare a do over in New Hampshire.”

The tweet, which is more than likely a facetious jab at both the New Hampshire Union Leader and his own prospects for president, came in response to an editorial which attempted to walk back its endorsement of Christie, who they seem to no longer support.

The editorial was penned by the newspapers publisher, Joseph McQuaid, prior to Super Tuesday. In particular, the newspaper is disappointed in Christie’s support for Donald Trump, which demonstrated “how wrong we [the New Hampshire Union Leader] were.” (Read more from “Rand Paul Just Revealed the 2 Things That Will Make Him ‘Un-Suspend’ His Presidential Campaign” HERE)

Watch: Megyn Kelly Admits Media Bias Against Cruz

After months of blatant media bias giving Donald Trump tons of air time, and seemingly being Pro-Marco Rubio (when it comes to Fox News), Megyn Kelly had a stunning revelation Tuesday night.

The Fox News anchor admitted that Cruz does not get fair media coverage either in coverage time or advocates.

Watch here:

Kelly assigns the blame to Cruz’s reputation in the Senate which hasn’t earned him as much support from his colleagues. Cruz argues that’s a good thing, and it looks as if the American people agree. Cruz outperformed expectations on Super Tuesday polling well in many southern states and notching wins in Texas and Oklahoma. Cities of Refuge: Why Are People Creating Hundreds of Places of Refuge All Over America?

All over the United States, cities of refuge are being created. Now when I say “cities”, I don’t mean vast areas of land that can hold hundreds of thousands or millions of people. Rather, I am talking about much smaller places of refuge that can accommodate dozens or hundreds of people. In a few cases, I know of places of refuge that will be able to take in thousands of people, but that is about as big as they get. There are individuals all across America that have specifically felt called to build communities where large numbers of people will be able to gather when society totally collapses. So why is this happening? Why do so many people feel such an urgency to create cities of refuge that would presumably never be used if we don’t ever see full-blown societal breakdown?

In the headline, I claimed that hundreds of these “cities of refuge” are being created, but the truth is that it could easily be thousands. I have personally talked to countless numbers of people that are like my wife and I and are planning to be able to take in members of their own extended families when things get really crazy. But there are others that are taking things to an entirely different level.

I was recently contacted by a man in New York state that plans to convert a hotel and surrounding facilities into a place of refuge that could potentially accommodate hundreds of people for an extended period of time. I know of a ranch in southern Idaho where the staff has been feverishly preparing to take in thousands of people when society starts completely falling apart. And I have corresponded with so many others both inside the United States and outside the country that are creating these types of communities.

It has been estimated that there are three million preppers in America today. But those that are creating these places of refuge are not just “prepping” for themselves. Instead, they feel called to prepare a place of safety where others will be able to gather when times get really crazy.

Due to the wide reach of my articles, I have had a lot of people involved in these communities reach out to me over time. Some have graciously let my wife and I know that there is a place for us if needed during a major emergency, and others have wanted for us to become personally involved in what they are doing. I wish that I could get involved in all of them, but there is a limit to what any one of us can do. But I always encourage people to keep pressing forward with their preparations, because without a doubt they will be needed someday.

In addition to what is happening inside the United States, there are others that have already left this country and are creating places of refuge abroad. There are people that are doing this in South America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.

And of course every “place of refuge” looks different. As I mentioned above, some plan on transforming existing hotels or ranches into places of refuge. Others plan to use open land to host large numbers of RVs or to construct vast tent cities.

But there are five big things that all places of refuge need to be thinking about…

1. Food – It is going to take vast quantitites of food to even feed dozens of people. When you are talking about hundreds or thousands of people, the amount of food required for a place of refuge will be off the charts.

2. Water – None of us can live without water, and it has been estimated that the average American uses 80 to 100 gallons of water every single day. Of course we would all use a lot less during an emergency situation, but if your “place of refuge” does not have easy access to water that could become a major problem very rapidly.

3. Shelter – It is nice to think that you are going to take in a lot of people, but where are all of them going to sleep? Most people don’t think of mattresses or cots as “survival items”, but the truth is that they are going to be greatly in demand when things get crazy.

4. Power – If the electricity goes off and stays off for an extended period of time, what are you going to do? How will people stay warm, how will you cook food, and how will your community function without any artificial light whatsoever? Having an alternative source of power for your place of refuge is very important.

5. Security – If there was a full-blown collapse of society, any place that still has ample resources is automatically going to become a target. So it is great if you have everything that your community will need, but if you have no way to protect it you can end up losing it all very quickly.

For even more tips on preparing for what is ahead, please see my recent article entitled “70 Tips That Will Help You Survive What Is Going To Happen To America“.

There are a lot of preppers out there that are only preparing for themselves and their immediate families, and anyone else that comes looking for assistance when things get really hard will end up looking down the barrel of a shotgun.

But there are so many others that feel called by God to prepare a place for large numbers of people to gather during the coming storm. They are doing this by faith, because such places have never been needed before in modern American history. Perhaps if you go all the way back to the Great Depression of the 1930s you could find large groups of people that needed somewhere to go, but since that time we have generally been regarded as the wealthiest and most prosperous nation on the entire planet.

Unfortunately, things are rapidly changing in this country. Our economy is in the process of crumbling, there is evidence of social decay all around us, natural disasters are increasing in frequency and intensity, and World War 3 could erupt in the Middle East at any time.

If I am right, the time when these cities of refuge will be needed is not that far away. Unfortunately, the vast majority of Americans are not preparing for what is ahead, and so most of them will be absolutely devastated by the great trials that are directly ahead of us.
