Mattis Shows Himself to be the Compromised Loser He Is: “Appalled” at Trump’s Announcement of Transgender Military Ban

Defense Secretary James Mattis was caught off guard by President Trump’s announcement that he was banning transgender people from serving in the military, according to a New York Times report.

Mattis, who was on vacation at the time of Trump’s decision, only had one day’s worth of notice before Trump tweeted his announcement of the policy, the paper reported.

The report described him as “appalled.”

Sources close to the Defense secretary told the Times that Mattis was infuriated by the tweets, and saw them as an insult to transgender Americans currently serving in the military . . .

Mattis, according to the Times, had been quietly lobbying Republicans for months to defeat a GOP-led amendment to the 2017 spending bill that would prevent the military from spending money on transition surgery or hormone therapy for transgender service members. The report states that Mattis initially resisted the policy allowing transgender Americans to serve in the armed forces, but accepted that the policy was to remain in place. Will NeverTrumpers Give Kid Rock a Chance?

In an effort to provide full disclosure in regards to what I’m about to write, I must tell you that I am a Kid Rock superfan.

Though it confused me a little, I have been reading that Kid Rock wants to be a United States senator. It confused me, because based on what I know of Kid Rock (real name, Bobby Ritchie), the job wouldn’t seem to suit him, what with the boring hearings and the boring people and the hidden agendas and the overall fakeness. But then, he’s probably seen about the same in the music business.

And since he doesn’t need the money, power, or prestige, I think he just wants to serve his country. And though I will have to disagree with him on certain issues, I think his candidacy represents a dynamic that conservatives must better understand and adapt to so that the conservative message can be spread instead of being dismissed out of hand as it oftentimes is now.

As the so-called conservative NeverTrumpers have inevitably done with their unwavering opposition to President Trump, the regular so-called working class who came out for Trump are becoming more and more hateful of conservatives in general.

Those people, whether NeverTrumpers like it or not, are the modern-day Reagan Democrats that anyone with half a brain would know are needed to be brought into the fray. And if I hadn’t tuned into Rush Limbaugh on a regular basis in 1995, I would be one of them right now, wishing I could tell NeverTrumpers a thing or two. But I did gravitate to Rush, and then I graduated into the Levin education. And now I see NeverTrumpers defining conservatism, and I want it to stop.

Central to the so-called conservative NeverTrumpers’ case has been indicting Trump’s moral compass over the crudeness of his speech, and his marriages, and so on. As if, based on their judgement, he cannot have the moral fiber to lead. But speaking crudely and being politically incorrect is not the same as being immoral.

Kid Rock makes music that strikes a chord with the working class in my generation, not just because he sings about “eating shrooms, drinkin’ Boones,” but also because he’s honest about his life, his beliefs, his patriotism, and being human. And, at this point, while I’d like to have a clear conservative running in the election that can beat Debbie Stabenow in Michigan, I will take an honest former drug dealer than a lying far-left commie like Stabenow any day.

Look, I want Bob Ritchie to understand the nation’s founding documents and understand why he was “Born Free.” I really want him to understand that this nation was founded because we just don’t like people telling us what to do, and because it had far greater implications on whether man has the right to rule over another man, and breaking the monarchical system by flipping the government model of the time on its head.

I want him to understand that this is the only successful nation that changed the rules from “some get to rule over everyone” to “everyone has a say in what is expected of government.” But I don’t know how much of that he knows. What I do know is that he has probably millions of fans who believe certain honest-to-goodness things about him because of his songwriting and pouring his heart and soul into his music, and his words and actions out of the limelight.

And if he gets in the Senate and acts just like some of the other losers there, he’ll have gone against his own self, let down millions. And I don’t think he could ever do that.

Because whether or not you think singing about drugs and screwing and consuming massive quantities of alcohol is something that can only be sung by a degenerate, I guarantee you that there are plenty of folks in this nation who believe in God, this nation, freedom, and liberty and do all of that too … and show up for work and raise their families.

Conservatism should not become a droning, kvetching group of alarmist, perpetually offended naysayers, shaking their finger at people for having fun. Because it leads to inaction and displays intolerance. If you want to do that, become a preacher and have your own flock. Good luck to you.

But if we are going to reach people who are living in the culture you decry, and you can’t change the culture until you can get through to the people, maybe stop pointing out everything that’s wrong, and start listening to what I consider our political cousins.

Now, this is not meant to be a PSA for the Kid Rock campaign at all. I mean, he could come out tomorrow and say he believes in taxing Americans to deal with global warming and I’d have to politically flay him.

But I merely wish that conservatism as I understand it doesn’t become an idea that is driven by claiming God is on our side, when what is truly needed is that we are on His. And I think a lot of the NeverTrumpers are really mucking up the viability of conservatism by acting like fools and pearl-clutching and playing to their audiences instead of doing what is good for the country.

I think that the themes in Kid Rock songs about God, hard work, living and letting live, striving to be your best, standing in the truth, learning from experience, climbing the mountain. and telling the world where to stick it if they don’t like it are all conservative themes.

He identifies as a libertarian and perhaps he’ll understand and embrace federalism and better develop his views on social issues. As it is, he is running for a seat in Washington, D.C., and he’s not a degenerate; he’s running against one. (For more from “Will NeverTrumpers Give Kid Rock a Chance?” please click HERE)

California’s Deputy AG Arrested on Child Porn Charge

Tips sent earlier in the year to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children by internet service providers concerned about the uploading of child pornography by one of their users eventually led authorities to California’s deputy attorney general.

After the NCMEC received the tips, it forwarded them to the San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children task force, which quickly traced the activity to the Coronado home of the state’s deputy attorney general, Joseph Liddy.

Investigators also discovered the age listed on Liddy’s anonymous online profile coincided with his real age.

The son of G. Gordon Liddy, a disbarred lawyer convicted in 1974 for orchestrating the burglary of the Democrat National Committee’s headquarters in the notorious Watergate scandal, Joseph Liddy admitted in an interview with federal agents Tuesday that he may have uploaded child pornography to the web.

Liddy specifically claimed he had used an anonymous screen name to share sexual fantasies online and download and share pornographic pictures that he maintained were of adults but “may have been of children,” according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

When authorities served him with a search warrant and subsequently searched his home, however, they discovered stored images depicting children engaged in sexual activities.

Liddy was thereafter arrested and booked into federal jail on a charge of possessing pornographic images of children.

After entering a plea of not guilty, Liddy was granted release in lieu of a $100,000 bond during an arraignment hearing later that same afternoon with stipulations that he agree to home detention and GPS monitoring, or what’s more commonly known as house arrest.

Speaking with San Diego station KFMB, his attorney Knut Johnson called the charges against his client “a tragedy for everyone included.”

Johnson also provided a stunning defense of his client’s character, calling him “a wonderful person” who’s purportedly “universally loved by a lot of different people who expressed that to me and he is a terrific human being.”

“This is the very beginning of the case and then we will get to the end and figure out what it is all about,” Johnson said.

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra’s office released a statement Wednesday saying it was aware of the charges against Liddy and that he has been placed on administrative leave.

Liddy will return to federal court Aug. 8 for a hearing on the case.

Liddy has served as California’s deputy attorney general since 2008. He’s also a Marine Reservist who served in Iraq. (For more from the author of “California’s Deputy AG Arrested on Child Porn Charge” please click HERE)

Turkish Reporter Admits Fabricating Kushner Quote That Praised Erdogan

A Turkish reporter admitted that he inaccurately quoted White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, who was reported to have lavished praise on Turkish President Recep Erdogan.

A White House official told The Daily Caller Thursday that the quote in the Turkish newspaper AKSAM was “made up.” The reporter, Yavuz Atalay, admitted as much when contacted by TheDC.

The article published Thursday claimed that Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, said that Erdogan “is making Turkey bigger again like US. We watch his efforts with appreciation.”

The piece included a selfie with both Kushner and Atalay.

“He [Atalay] approached Jared for a selfie but is not quoted accurately,” a White House official told TheDC. “It’s made up.” (Read more from “Turkish Reporter Admits Fabricating Kushner Quote That Praised Erdogan” HERE)

This Is a Huge Scandal — but the Media Refuse to Cover It

Leading members of the establishment media are ignoring the months-long House IT scandal rocking congressional Democrats, even after the FBI’s investigation into the matter became public, and even after Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s top IT aide was arrested trying to flee to Pakistan after wiring almost $300,000 to the country.

As of Thursday morning, both the New York Times and Wall Street Journal have yet to report on the growing scandal surrounding several IT staffers employed by House Democrats, including Wasserman Schultz’s top IT aide, Imran Awan.

Other establishment media outlets are similarly refusing to tell the public about the growing scandal. MSNBC has given zero on-air coverage to the scandal. ABC News and NBC News’ national broadcasts have similarly given zero coverage to the scandal. CNN’s only on-air coverage of the scandal so far was a brief mention during the 6 a.m. ET hour Thursday.

As reported by The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Luke Rosiak — who for months has extensively covered the growing scandal — Awan was arrested on Monday as he attempted to flee the country to Pakistan after wiring almost $300,000 to the country. The FBI seized smashed hard drives from Awan’s home as part of the ongoing investigation. (Read more from “This Is a Huge Scandal — but the Media Refuse to Cover It” HERE)

Private Eye: Cops Bailed From Meeting on Seth Rich

Detectives leading the Seth Rich murder investigation agreed to meet with Capitol Hill investigators probing a major Democratic IT scandal to discuss evidence surrounding the alleged hacking of Democratic National Committee emails during the 2016 presidential election, a private eye claims.

But the Metropolitan Police Department canceled its meeting with Capitol Police just hours before it was scheduled to take place, according to former Washington, D.C., homicide detective Rod Wheeler.

Wheeler, who previously worked as the Rich family’s private investigator, told WND he had arranged the meeting between members of the Capitol Police leading the Imran Awan investigation and members of the MPD probing the unsolved murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich . . .

Wheeler claims a thorough investigation of the Awan brothers may reveal more information about Rich’s murder, the 2016 email breach of the Democratic National Committee and the Awan family.

“I’ve been following the arrest of Awan – this is a guy whose name came up a couple of times in my investigation as someone that I should look at,” he said in a phone call to WND Wednesday. “I never really got a chance to look at them in the investigation – but what I did do – I met with the Capitol Hill investigators. Raw-Meat Eating Somali ‘Refugee’ Terrorizes Townspeople With Knife Threats

Another Somali “refugee” has managed to strike fear into the hearts of Minnesotans by threatening to kill townspeople with a knife.

This time, it was the small town of Faribault, population 23,000 about 50 miles south of Minneapolis, that was terrorized.

In a July 25 article, the Faribault Daily News reports that a complaint filed in Rice County Court alleges that Somalia native Abdinzak Ahmed Farah, 29, was in the Third Street NW area in downtown Faribault on July 12, pointing a knife and threatening to kill anyone who called police . . .

According to an eye witness, Farah was eating raw beef with the knife and holding it out to patrons, asking them to “play games.”

Farah was asked to leave the area, which he did, only to return pointing the same knife at people as he spoke with them. Witnesses told police Farah was told to leave a second time, but later began chasing several people and threw the knife at them. Scaramucci Leaks His Scorched-Earth Plan for Leakers

. . .The New Yorker’s Washington correspondent Ryan Lizza claims Scaramucci, whose name appropriately translates as “skirmish,” called him Wednesday night ostensibly to grill him about his sources for Lizza’s Tweet about a dinner meeting at the White House between President Trump, the first lady, Sean Hannity and former Fox News executive Bill Shine.

“Was Trump getting strategic advice from Hannity?” Lizza asked. “Was he considering hiring Shine?”

“Who leaked that to you?” Scaramucci asked. According to the New Yorker account, Lizza said he couldn’t give up that information. To which Scaramucci threatened to fire the entire communications staff.

“What I’m going to do is, I will eliminate everyone in the comms team and we’ll start over,” Scaramucci is quoted as saying. “I ask these guys not to leak anything and they can’t help themselves. You’re an American citizen, this is a major catastrophe for the American country. So, I’m asking you as an American patriot to give me a sense of who leaked it.”

Scaramucci is obsessed with leaks. And he makes no bones about resorting to a scorched-earth approach to outing leakers and firing them. (Read more from “Scaramucci Leaks His Scorched-Earth Plan for Leakers” HERE)

In Video, Planned Parenthood Medical Chief Tells How to Get Around Ban on Partial-Birth Abortion

A new undercover video shows a top physician at a Planned Parenthood affiliate discussing how her organization routinely circumvents federal law regulating certain late-term abortions.

In the latest hidden-camera video from the Center for Medical Progress, Dr. Suzie Prabhakaran, vice president of medical affairs for Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida, talks about using a “checkbox” to get around the 2003 law banning partial-birth abortion.

In the video, released Thursday as the Senate again debates defunding the nation’s largest abortion provider, Prabhakaran speaks with investigators from the pro-life group posing as buyers of fetal tissue from a biotech company.

Prabhakaran is seen explaining that to circumvent federal law against partial-birth abortions—in which the unborn baby is extracted partway and then killed—Planned Parenthood doctors document their intent either to perform a dismemberment abortion or to use a feticide such as digoxin, which kills the baby beforehand.

“Every time you do a procedure, that’s how you document,” Prabhakaran says at 4:02 on the video. “So, like, there’s like a checkbox … So before the procedure, you do your evaluation, you write: ‘I intend to utilize dismemberment techniques for this procedure.’”

The video was shot at a Planned Parenthood conference in Orlando, Florida, according to the Center for Medical Progress, a nonprofit that has released a series of undercover videos targeting the organization’s ethics and morality in the past two years.

In it, Prabhakaran explains that her affiliate is merging with a Planned Parenthood clinic in Orlando that performs abortions up to 22 weeks and six days into a pregnancy. She says the clinic does a high volume of procedures, with “18 abortions at 18 weeks and above scheduled for the next week,” according to a Center for Medical Progress press release.

By marking a box showing intent to perform a dismemberment abortion, in which the baby is removed in pieces, and not use the deadly digoxin, Parabhakaran says at 5:52 in the video, “I’m not doing digoxin, and we’re just gonna document and there’s never been a problem.”

In a clip from an earlier video, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, senior director of medical services for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, is seen saying at 3:12 that “laws are up to interpretation.”

“So there are some people who interpret [the partial-birth abortion ban] as, it’s intent,” Nucatola says. “So if I say on Day One I do not intend to do this, what ultimately happens doesn’t matter.”

The Planned Parenthood Federation of America, which issued a press release attacking Republicans’ “skinny repeal” of Obamacare, did not respond to The Daily Signal’s requests for comment on the video.

Rep. Trent Franks, R-Ariz., tweeted:

David Daleiden, head of the Center for Medical Progress, said in a press release that “the fact that Planned Parenthood has a ‘dismemberment checkbox’ on their abortion forms should tell the public and policymakers everything they need to know about this barbaric abortion business.”

In response to the group’s latest hidden-camera video, Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List, said in a press release that the nation’s “forced complicity in this atrocity must end.”

Dannenfelser added:

We urge our pro-life allies in the Senate to watch this video today and refresh their resolve to ensure that any health care reform legislation includes provisions to redirect Planned Parenthood’s tax dollars to community health centers and also rolls back Obamacare’s abortion expansion.

Abortion is not health care, and pro-life grassroots elected a pro-life House, Senate, and White House in 2016 expecting these victories. Congress must send a bill defunding Planned Parenthood and undoing the damage of Obamacare to President Trump’s desk for his signature.

What Jeff Sessions Thinks About Trump’s Attacks

Attorney General Jeff Sessions says he’s hurt by President Donald Trump’s recent criticism, but he’s confident he made the right decision recusing himself from the Russia investigation.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson that aired Thursday night, Sessions vowed to continue his work as the nation’s top law enforcement officer.

“I’m confident I made the right decision, a decision that’s consistent for the rule of law,” Sessions said. “An attorney general who doesn’t follow the law isn’t very effective in leading the Department of Justice.”

In recent days, Trump has faced mounting criticism from Republicans and conservatives for attacking Sessions, one of his most loyal supporters and a staunch ally on a range of policy goals. (For more from the author of “What Jeff Sessions Thinks About Trump’s Attacks” please click HERE)
