What a Charity Organization Is Doing to Save 1 Million Unborn Babies

An international Catholic charitable organization has announced a goal of saving 1 million unborn babies by expanding its ultrasound program.

“We know from experience that a woman who sees an ultrasound image of her child is highly likely to keep her baby,” Carl Anderson, CEO of the Knights of Columbus, said at the organization’s 135th international convention in St. Louis on Aug. 1-3.

In 2009, the Knights of Columbus began working with the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council in New Haven, Connecticut, to pay for 829 ultrasound machines for pregnancy centers or in mobile medical units.

Since 2009, Anderson says the program has saved hundreds of thousands of lives.

When the ultrasound program gets to its 10th anniversary in 2019, Anderson hopes to have 1,000 machines in service.

“If each machine saves the lives of just four unborn children each week, the Knights will have saved more than 1 million lives,” Anderson said. “Let us continue this great effort by reaching the goal of 1,000 machines as quickly as possible.”

With almost 2 million members, the Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882 by the Rev. Michael J. McGivney.

Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, praised the goal of the Catholic charity organization.

“Ultrasounds are a window into the womb that give mothers the ability to see the life that is within them,” Perkins said in a statement provided to The Daily Signal, adding:

Ultrasounds make crystal clear the humanity of these children. Expectant mothers are much more likely to choose life for their babies once they get to see with their own eyes their babies in the womb. I applaud the Knights of Columbus for their efforts to provide ultrasounds for pregnancy care centers.

Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life, which hosts the largest pro-life rally each year to mark the legalization of abortion on Jan. 22, 1973, said the Knights of Columbus ultrasound program is a significant aid to the pro-life cause.

“Their wonderful ultrasound program literally saves lives by using modern technology to testify to the beauty of life,” Mancini said in a statement provided to The Daily Signal, adding:

Thank you, Knights of Columbus for seeking to build a culture of life through prayer, words, and action. Since the very first March, the Knights have helped provide over 100 volunteer marshals to manage and control the event, in addition to countless other helps, including financially supporting the March for Life.

Purge Begins: Cloudflare Terminates Service to Cody Wilson’s GhostGunner Website

A day after Cloudflare removed service to the Daily Stormer, it has now terminated service to Cody Wilson’s website GhostGunner.net, Wilson announced on Twitter:

Yesterday the Electronic Frontier Foundation warned that this behavior to remove offensive speech is a dangerous path for technology companies to go down.

EFF lawyers wrote:

In the wake of Charlottesville, both GoDaddy and Google have refused to manage the domain registration for the Daily Stormer, a neo-Nazi website that, in the words of the Southern Poverty Law Center, is “dedicated to spreading anti-Semitism, neo-Nazism, and white nationalism.” Subsequently Cloudflare, whose service was used to protect the site from denial-of-service attacks, has also dropped them as a customer, with a telling quote from Cloudflare’s CEO: “Literally, I woke up in a bad mood and decided someone shouldn’t be allowed on the Internet. No one should have that power.”

We agree. Even for free speech advocates, this situation is deeply fraught with emotional, logistical, and legal twists and turns. All fair-minded people must stand against the hateful violence and aggression that seems to be growing across our country. But we must also recognize that on the Internet, any tactic used now to silence neo-Nazis will soon be used against others, including people whose opinions we agree with.

It appears that Wilson, the inventor of the first successful 3D-printed gun, is ready for a fight. He goes directly after Cloudflare’s CEO Matthew Prince on Twitter.

[Warning: explicit language]

Never one to back down from a challenge, when PayPal and others dropped service to his Defense Distributed project, Wilson turned to bitcoin to fund his operation. Because of that, Wilson worked to develop an anonymous wallet for the cryptocurrency called Dark Wallet. Wilson is also in a legal battle against the State Department over whether CAD files for printable gun designs fall under gun manufacturing laws.

Wilson continued to savage Cloudfare’s Prince on Twitter:

Wilson also recently launched Hatreon, a tongue-in-cheek competitor to Patreon which recently banned “hate speech” from its platform.

Newsweek wrote this about Hatreon:

Finding funding on the internet is hard—especially if your ideas are despised by almost everyone. Just ask members of the so-called alt-right, the pro-Donald Trump white nationalist movement that received considerable attention during the 2016 presidential election. These guys often get barred from online funding platforms like Patreon, GoFundMe and PayPal.

Enter Hatreon, a new crowdfunding service. Like Patreon, Hatreon allows users to donate money to their favorite internet personalities, while the website takes a small cut. But Hatreon doesn’t have any “hate speech” restrictions. Which is perhaps why it’s attracted controversial figures such as alt-right leader Richard Spencer and Andrew Anglin, founder of neo-Nazi news site The Daily Stormer.

In 2014, PayPal cut off Anglin from its service for promoting “hate, violence, racial intolerance or the financial exploitation of a crime,” according to an email from the company that Anglin published on his site. The Daily Stormer is looking for new funding because it is being sued by the Southern Poverty Law Center for organizing a harassment campaign against a Jewish woman in Montana. (In an email, Anglin took issue with the argument that his First Amendment speech could be limited because private businesses are free to deny someone service.)

As an activist entrepreneur, whenever Wilson gets annoyed by petty power, he seems to build a new business to help others expand personal liberty. We look forward to what he builds out of this challenge. (For more from the author of “Purge Begins: Cloudflare Terminates Service to Cody Wilson’s GhostGunner Website” please click HERE)

Lindsey Graham to Trump: Pulling Troops out of Afghanistan Could Cause Another 9/11

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Friday warned President Donald Trump that pulling troops out of Afghanistan could mean another September 11th attack on American turf . . .

“If we were to pull all our troops from Afghanistan it would be a disaster for our national security interests and set the stage for another 9/11 on American soil,” the senator said in a statement.

Trump and his national security team are currently meeting in Maryland to discuss the possibility of sending thousands of additional U.S. and NATO troops to Afghanistan, the Washington Examiner reported. The president, however, has been on the fence about providing more boots on the ground. (Read more from “Lindsey Graham to Trump: Pulling Troops out of Afghanistan Could Cause Another 9/11” HERE)

Islamist Propaganda Coming to Your Local Paper

An investigative journalism center is passing off as fact a report by the Hamas-tied Council on American-Islamic Relations that hate crimes against American mosques jumped sharply in 2015 and continue to occur at historically high rates — about once every three days.

ProPublica is a New York City-based nonprofit journalism center partially funded by billionaire George Soros that shares data-driven investigative stories with newspapers of all sizes and local TV stations across the United States.

But ProPublica‘s newest project on hate crimes is raising eyebrows because of its reliance on a questionable source for its data. The report says more than 370 “hate incidents” directed at U.S. mosques and Islamic centers have been catalogued by CAIR since April 2013.

“Most of the incidents are threats to worshippers’ lives or acts of vandalism,” according to the report, which depends solely on CAIR for its list of anti-Muslim hate crimes.

CAIR, which ProPublica refers to as simply “a civil rights group,” was tied to the extremist Muslim Brotherhood and the terrorist organization Hamas during the Holy Land Foundation trial that was prosecuted during the Bush administration, and nearly a dozen of CAIR’s leaders and former leaders have been charged and/or convicted of terror-related crimes. Poll Shows Nearly Half of Americans Agree With Trump About Charlottesville

Despite negative news coverage and criticism from his own party, a poll released Friday shows nearly half of Americans agree with President Donald Trump on the causes of violence in Charlottesville, Virginia.

President Trump has maintained that “both sides” were responsible for violence surrounding a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville. He also called out “troublemakers” among the counter protesters that came “with the black outfits and with the helmets and with the baseball bats.”

Trump’s statements outraged former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, who write Friday that Trump must apologize for his response.

However, a SurveyMonkey poll conducted Thursday found a combined 49 percent of American adults believe that both groups of protesters were “most responsible for the violence in Charlottesville.” (Read more from “Poll Shows Nearly Half of Americans Agree With Trump About Charlottesville” HERE)

Newt Gingrich Just Said Something That Should Get Trump’s Attention

Former Speaker of the House and longtime Trump supporter Newt Gingrich is seriously worried about the future of Donald Trump’s presidency.

Gingrich, who has consistently been one of Trump’s most optimistic supporters, said Friday morning that Trump is more isolated than he realizes and needs to make “serious changes” if he’s going to have a stable presidency.

“I think he’s in a position right now where he’s much more isolated than he realizes,” Gingrich said in an interview with Fox News’ Bill Hemmer. “On the Hill, he has far more people willing to sit to one side and not help him right now, and I think that he needs to recognize that he’s taken a good first step with bringing in General Kelly, but he needs to think about what has not worked. You don’t get down to 35 percent approval and have people in your own party shooting at you and conclude that everything’s going fine.”

“How many times have we had this conversation? It was John McCain, Gold Star families and Access Hollywood. Is this week that much different than the numerous other situations?” Hemmer asked. (Read more from “Newt Gingrich Just Said Something That Should Get Trump’s Attention” HERE)

Antifa Protester Says Violence Against the Far-Right Is Totally Fine

Yvette Felarca, the Berkeley area school teacher and militant left-wing protester responsible for organizing the riot at the University of California, Berkeley in February 2017, claims that violence against the far-right is “not a crime.”

Felarca, who belongs to “By Any Means Necessary,” a far-left group, is currently facing assault charges after she was caught on video assaulting a white supremacist during a July 2016 rally in Sacramento, Cali.

The school teacher and her compatriots engaged in violent clashes against members of the far-right Traditional Worker’s Party, which had a permit to march in the city. The violence between the two groups resulted in a number of assaults and multiple stabbings. In July 2017, police charged Felarca with “assault by means of force likely to inflict great bodily injury, participating in a riot, and inciting a riot.”

As reported by Huffington Post on Wednesday during her arraignment, Felarca described her actions as a form of self-defense, and therefore “not a crime.” (Read more from “Antifa Protester Says Violence Against the Far-Right Is Totally Fine” HERE)

Woman in Barcelona Cheats Death at the Hands of Terrorists for Third Time

An Australian woman cheated death for the third time in three months when she narrowly avoided being directly caught up in the Islamist terror attack that convulsed Barcelona on Thursday.

Julie Monaco, 26, from the Victoria state capital of Melbourne, was shopping with friends in a mall when terrorists drove a van into pedestrians and shoppers in the Las Ramblas district of Barcelona.

This was the third time Monaco had brushed with terrorism since she began a European tour in May but she told an Australian radio station she will not be deterred from seeing the world or enjoying all the sights that Europe has to offer.

In June, she was put in lockdown on the London Underground when terrorists plowed across London Bridge before going on a murderous knife rampage in nearby Borough Market.

Days later, Monaco was in Notre-Dame in Paris when a police officer was stabbed outside the famous cathedral. French police shot the Algerian man who reportedly attacked them while shouting “this is for Syria.” (Read more from “Woman in Barcelona Cheats Death at the Hands of Terrorists for Third Time” HERE)

Illegal Alien Who Allegedly Killed Woman Is Free

The man who allegedly killed a woman in Las Vegas, Nevada, is now walking free in Mexico after being released by federal immigration officials, according to the victim’s husband.
Billy and Kathy Dolan were married for 30 years when one day, the man received a message from the local coroner’s office that his wife had been killed in a car accident, according to FOX 5 News.

“We were both stopped at a red light and I looked over at her and thought ‘There she is,’” Dolan told FOX 5. “I don’t usually stare, but this time I did, and the car behind me actually honked because the light turned green. Was this God telling me this is the last time I was going to see her alive.”

Police told Dolan that his wife had been struck by 30-year-old illegal alien Alfredo Vazquez-Orozco as he was allegedly drunk-driving at a high speed. The GoFundMe page for Kathy’s funeral donations say she was “on her way for a kidney dialysis treatment on the west side of Las Vegas.” (Read more from “Illegal Alien Who Allegedly Killed Woman Is Free in Mexico” HERE)

10-Year-Old India Rape Victim Unknowingly Gives Birth to Baby Girl

A 10-year-old rape victim who was denied an abortion by the Indian Supreme Court and was kept in the dark about her pregnancy, has reportedly given birth to a baby girl. The unidentified girl, whose uncle was arrested after she accused him of raping her several times over the last seven months, is said to be in good condition, BBC News reported . . .

The case made international headlines after the girl was taken to the hospital for complaints of a stomach ache, only for doctors to discover she was several months pregnant. Indian law does not allow for abortions past 20 weeks of gestation unless there is a threat to the mother’s health. The country’s Supreme Court did not find an exception for her case.
