Trump Won’t ‘Rule out’ Military Action Against Venezuela

President Donald Trump continued his talk of war Friday when he refused to rule out military action against Venezuela.

The U.S. government has taken a strong stance against Venezuela as the nation’s leader Nicolas Maduro has moved to consolidate power following weeks of violent clashes resulting from opposition protests in the streets.

“We have many options for Venezuela and by the way I’m not going to rule out a military option,” President Trump said at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey. (Read more from “Trump Won’t ‘Rule out’ Military Action Against Venezuela” HERE)

Defender of Franklin Scandal Child Sex Abuse Victims, Is Dead at 76

John DeCamp, a former Nebraska state senator, veteran, and attorney, has died. He served in the US military in Vietnam, and in 1975, he initiated Operation Baby Lift, which evacuated more than 2,800 orphaned Vietnamese children to safety.

DeCamp wrote a book, The Franklin Cover-up: Child Abuse, Satanism, and Murder in Nebraska, based on the infamous teen prostitution ring originating out of Boys Town in Lincoln, Nebraska, that was linked to the White House, in the late 1980s. He represented the young victims in the case and spurred a grand jury investigation into the disturbing and brutal pedophilia scandal that ruined many lives.

Here is a video documentary, Conspiracy of Silence, that chronicles DeCamp’s investigation of the Franklin case that was scheduled to air on the Discovery channel in 1994, but was cancelled. Copies of the video were supposed to be destroyed, but this one surfaced on YouTube:

DeCamp claimed that he was the first person to bring a child sexual abuse case against the Catholic church in the US, which he said he won, but the judge revoked the award because it was too unbelievable.

DeCamp also represented Mark Taylor, the first student victim who was shot in the Columbine school massacre, and sued the Solvay Pharmaceutical company, the manufacturer of an anti-depressant that Eric Harris had been prescribed. The case reportedly ended with Solvay paying $10,000 to a third-party charity, without the drug company admitting guilt.

DeCamp suffered from Parkinson’s disease and other illnesses; he was 76 at the time of death. He was a colorful character who helped many people.

Why This Veteran With Terminal Brain Cancer Opposes Legalizing Assisted Suicide

A veteran is using his personal experiences to battle both physician-assisted suicide and terminal brain cancer to protect other patients.

“In 2014, when I was diagnosed with a terminal form of brain cancer, the doctors gave me four months to live. They basically told me to go home and enjoy the time I had left,” J.J. Hanson said in a Facebook Live interview with The Daily Signal.

Hanson, a former Marine, said physician-assisted suicide exploits patients’ natural depressive states, something he is familiar with.

“In 2014, when I was diagnosed with a terminal form of brain cancer, the doctors gave me four months to live. They basically told me to go home and enjoy the time I had left,” he said in the video interview.

Hanson defied his initial prognosis and is now president of the Patients’ Rights Action Fund, which works to prevent expansion of assisted suicide.

Hanson said physician-assisted suicide entices insurance companies to deny coverage for treatment of terminal illness and instead offer coverage for assisted suicide.

“People who are making end-of-life decisions have basically been told ‘We’re not going to give you what you’d like to get, but we will give you assisted suicide,’ which is very scary for someone like myself,” he said.

In one case, Stephanie Packer of Orange, California, was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, scleroderma, as documented in a film produced by the Center for Bioethics and Culture Network. This disease targeted Packer’s lungs and caused pulmonary fibrosis, or lung tissue scarring that leads to breathing difficulty. Her prognosis was terminal.

Packer said she requested coverage for less-toxic chemotherapy recommended by doctors, but was denied a week after assisted suicide was legalized in her home state. She said her insurance company confirmed it would cover the cost of assisted suicide.

“It was just like someone hit me in the gut. In front of me, I had all the validation that my fears were correct,” Packer says in the film.

Hanson emphasized that a suicide option dangerously influences the natural depressive cycles of someone who is terminally ill. During his cancer treatment, he said, he entertained suicidal thoughts for two days.

“If I had made that decision in that two days, you can’t undo that,” he said.

Major depression may impact as many as 77 percent of terminally ill patients, according to the National Institutes of Health. Depression commonly induces suicidal thoughts and tendencies, the Mayo Clinic notes.

Hanson’s wife, Kristen, said short discussions can have significant effects on those who are hesitant to take a stand on physician-assisted suicide.

“It’s really not about offering more choices. It takes choices away from patients like J.J. who want to fight,” she said.

Hanson said his cancer returned and he continues to undergo immunotherapy, but believes he has made significant improvement three years after his diagnosis. Only 10 percent of glioblastoma patients live beyond this time frame.

“A month ago, I couldn’t make it down here to have this conversation,” Hanson said. “A month later, we’re sitting here. … That gives us a lot of hope that we can continue to move forward and beat this disease.” (For more from the author of “Why This Veteran With Terminal Brain Cancer Opposes Legalizing Assisted Suicide” please click HERE)

Trump: If Kim Attacks Guam ‘He Will Regret It Fast’

President Donald Trump refused to back down Friday from a comment he tweeted earlier in the day that military solutions to the impasse with North Korea are “locked and loaded.”

During a media event called to discuss the Trump administration’s efforts to increase apprenticeships, Trump was asked about the crisis with North Korea, which has said it is drafting plans for an attack on Guam.

“We are looking at that very carefully and I hope they are going to fully understand the gravity of what I said, and what I said is what I mean,” Trump said during the event at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club. “So hopefully they will understand … exactly what I said and the meaning of those words. Those words are very, very easy to understand.”

“Military solutions are now fully in place, locked and loaded, should North Korea act unwisely,” Trump had tweeted earlier Friday. “Hopefully Kim Jong Un will find another path!”

Trump was asked how he would respond to critics who have attacked his Tuesday remark that North Korea would face “fire and fury” as an inflammatory statement.

“Well, you know, my critics are only saying that because it’s me. If somebody else uttered the exact same words that I uttered, they’d say, ‘What a great statement, what a wonderful statement,’” Trump said.

“We have tens of millions of people in this country that are so happy with what I’m saying — because they’re saying, finally we have a President that’s sticking up for our nation and, frankly, sticking up for our friends and our allies.”

Trump vowed to win the war of wills over North Korea’s missile program.

“And this man will not get away with what he’s doing, believe me. And if he utters one threat, in the form of an overt threat — which, by the way, he has been uttering for years, and his family has been uttering for years — or if he does anything with respect to Guam, or anyplace else that’s an American territory or an American ally, he will truly regret it and he will regret it fast,” Trump said.

Amid reports that U.S. and North Korean officials are communicating through diplomatic backchannels, Trump said, “we don’t want to talk about backchannels.”

“We want to talk about a country that has misbehaved for many, many years, decades actually, through numerous administrations and they didn’t want to take on the issue and I had no choice but to take it on, and I’m taking it on. And we’ll either be very, very successful quickly or we’re going to be very, very successful in a different way, quickly,” Trump said.

Asked about a comment from German Chancellor Angela Merkel that there was no military solution to the North Korean crisis, Trump bristled.

“Maybe she’s speaking for Germany, let her speak for Germany. She’s a friend of mine, she’s a very good person, a very good woman, she’s a friend of Ivanka. Perhaps she is referring to Germany. She’s certainly not referring to the United States, that I can tell you,” he said. (For more from the author of “Trump: If Kim Attacks Guam ‘He Will Regret It Fast'” please click HERE)

Grandmother Dies in Son’s Arms After Terrifying Animal Attack

Carol Kirken was enjoying her exotic vacation with family members in Tanzania. Her friends back in Michigan were enjoying the photos Kirken was posting on her Facebook page about the African safari trip.

But Kirken’s dream vacation ended in horrifying fashion.

Kirken, 75, died after being attacked by a hippopotamus. Her son was close by when the deadly tragedy took place.

“Our cherished Carol Kirken died in Tanzania on August 5th. She was on her annual holiday with family members for an African safari,” the family wrote in her obituary.

“Carol died quickly in the arms of her son Robert,” the family added. “We are shocked and saddened at her early departure from our lives.”

Among the photos of the trip Kirken posted to her Facebook page included one of her smiling while onboard the plane bound for Tanzania.

In a somewhat eerie coincidence, her final post on Facebook detailed how the group had just seen a mass migration of hippos and bull elephants.

The circumstances surrounding her death haven’t been made public, but hippos are known to be one of the world’s most dangerous animals.

According to National Geographic, hippos are known for being extremely territorial and kill more people in Africa each year “than any single disease, except malaria.”

Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett said the news of Kirken’s death has shook the entire community.

“There are few people in the community that you think of that are absolute treasures and Carol is one of those in our community,” Barnett said.

Kirken was extremely active within her hometown. She was one of the founding members of the Rochester Area Women’s Fund, and also volunteered with the North Oakland YMCA Supporting Military Families.

“Carol was aggressive about the organization and very passionate,” Barnett said. “She called me just a few weeks ago and begged me to come to this meeting because she was excited about the new direction of the YMCA that was very important to her. They went around the table and said what is your interest in being here I said, ‘I am here because Carol asked me to be here.’”

Kirken is survived by her husband Bill, three children and five grandchildren.

“Having past (sic) 75 years old, she was resolutely shooting for 100,” the family wrote in Kirken’s obituary. “She would have surely achieved it if not for this accident.” (For more from the author of “Grandmother Dies in Son’s Arms After Terrifying Animal Attack” please click HERE)

1 Democrat ‘Blabbermouth’ Holds Key to Trump-Russia Fairytale

Talk-radio superstar Rush Limbaugh says while many Democrats now are admitting it wasn’t Donald Trump and it wasn’t Russia who “hacked” Democratic National Committee computer files during the 2016 election, the issue won’t go away because party loyalists simply can’t get past Hillary Clinton’s election loss.

He cites a recent report in The Nation that found there wasn’t any such “hack.” It had to be a “leak” from someone inside the DNC who transferred the files to a domain and format from which WikiLeaks could copy them.

“They’ve been forensically analyzing all of this,” Limbaugh said Friday. “The Nation has concluded that there wasn’t even a hack of the Democrat National Committee computer network, the servers. There was no hack. It was a leak” . . .

However, that doesn’t mean Democrats won’t continue on the warpath, Limbaugh said.

“Here’s what I think is going on: The one thing that will never be erased that they believe, the one gospel that they have is that Hillary Clinton got jobbed. … They think that Hillary’s campaign was sabotaged. That will never change. What is changing, after all of this time these people are having to admit there isn’t any evidence for what the media and the Obama embed deep state people have been trying to maintain for the last seven or eight months,” he said. Uh-Oh: Look Who’s Supporting McMaster Now

If H.R. McMaster’s commitment to President Trump’s conservative agenda is to be judged by those who defend him and want him to stay on as White House national security adviser, it’s not looking good for him.

In the past McMaster has been publicly defended by Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., groups funded by George Soros and Media Matters.

Now comes the latest endorsement, from the Islamist group CAIR, also known as the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which was shown in federal court to be a front group for Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood’s branch in the Holy Land.

CAIR tweeted as part of its daily “Islamophobia Watch” series:

CAIR also linked its tweet to a story in Newsweek titled “Why Is the Alt-Right Attacking H.R. McMaster?” (Read more from “Uh-Oh: Look Who’s Supporting McMaster Now” HERE)

D’oh! See Where ‘Fake News’ Got Started

Aug. 12, 2013: WND reported how the HBO series “The Newsroom” actually faked a news story to portray the real-life news site WND as fabricating the news.

“The Newsroom” TV series, which starred Jeff Daniels as the main anchor for Atlantic Cable News, centered on the everyday exploits of network TV journalists.

In its fifth episode of the season, the plot had its executive producer Don Keefer (played by actor Thomas Sadowski) dealing with an out-of-control joke about an Obama appointee that supposedly was taken seriously by WND.

“The Newsroom” used real WND graphics to forge its fabricated story whenever it displayed the site’s content on the air.

In the storyline, Keefer said he never called any WND editor, not even being sure whether the news agency would even have an editor. (Read more from “D’oh! See Where ‘Fake News’ Got Started” HERE)

Social Justice Warriors Furious as Internal Google Manifesto Slams Company for Political Intolerance

Following the circulation of an internal memo criticizing Google’s restrictive PC workplace environment, employees have freaked out, calling for the memo’s author to be fired.

A software engineer at Google published a ten-page memo where he criticized “Google’s Ideological Echo Chamber,” resulting in controversy amongst employees within the Google+ internal social network. The author argues within the memo that women are underrepresented in tech fields not because of discrimination, but because of inherent psychological differences between men and women, echoing a similar argument made by former Breitbart senior editor Milo Yiannopoulos in 2016. When discussing Google’s educational guidelines for young women, the memo’s author writes, “We need to stop assuming that gender gaps imply sexism.”

The allegations of political intolerance come shortly after YouTube, a Google-owned platform, announced it would manipulate search results, artificially promote socially progressive videos, and censor non-rulebreaking content that is considered “potential hate speech.” The company is also partnering with the ADL and other left-wing organizations to identify “hate speech” on the platform (Read more from “Social Justice Warriors Furious as Internal Google Manifesto Slams Company for Political Intolerance” HERE)

“Deviant Sex Is Unhealthy”: Doctor Who Served on Harvard Medical School Faculty Now Banned From Four Hospitals for Correlating Sickness With Homosexuality

The horrific treatment of Dr. Paul Church has become a nightmare – affecting him, of course, but ultimately all of us as well. Because he told the medical truth and refused to bow to political correctness on this critical public health issue, he has now been banned from four prominent Boston area hospitals and a urology clinic . . .

Dr. Church is a urologist who was on the staff of several major Boston area hospitals and clinics for nearly 30 years. He was on the faculty of Harvard Medical School. He has done research on diagnosing prostate and bladder cancer, and has spoken to educational and civic groups on the subject of high-risk sexual behaviors.

In 2015, as we reported, Dr. Church was expelled from the staff of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) where he had worked for 28 years. The reason? His comments to colleagues that homosexuality is medically unhealthy and that a hospital should not be promoting and celebrating that behavior in “gay pride” events and other hospital-sponsored activities.

Subsequently, he was expelled from two more Boston area hospitals, Brigham & Women’s Faulkner, where also had worked for 28 years, and Beth Israel Deaconess-Needham, where had worked for over six years. Both hospitals admitted that they did not expel Dr. Church because of anything he said or did at those hospitals. He had a perfect performance record. They expelled him because of his original comments made at BIDMC.

After being expelled by the three hospitals, Dr. Church needed a hospital for patient referrals. A fourth hospital, St. Elizabeth’s in Boston, made an offer in 2016 to bring Dr. Church onto their staff, but then abruptly cancelled it. He had been approved by hospital officials all the way up the ladder to join St. Elizabeth’s. Contracts had been signed and even business cards had been printed up. But as he was about to start work, he was informed that they had disapproved his credentialing. The administrators cited “other disputes” and his hiring was cancelled. Dr. Church later found out that hospital officials feared repercussions by the LGBT community for his views expressed at BIDMC.

He has also been dismissed from an independent urology clinic. In addition to the four hospitals, Dr. Church was asked to leave the staff of Men’s Health Boston, a urology clinic where he had been in practice for more than 10 years. He was told that the reason was his dispute at BIDMC. They told him, “We don’t agree with what you’re doing,” and that the BIDMC issue would be “bad for business.” . . .

Currently, Dr. Church continues to see some patients at a private office in suburban Boston. But without hospital staff privileges, he can no longer do hospital work or perform needed surgeries himself. His livelihood has been significantly impacted as a result.

All the major Boston hospitals now participate in the annual “Gay Pride Week” – a public display of sexual and emotional dysfunction. They also heavily promote LGBT events and issues internally.
