Gun Owners Warned to Stay Away From 1 State

Some states have been more willing than others to allow citizens to exercise their Second Amendment right to bear arms.

But there’s one state that is considered dangerous even to visit due to its restrictions on that constitutional right.

The Second Amendment Foundation has issued a travel advisory warning gun owners not visit California.

“The state’s restrictive laws literally leave residents and visitors defenseless,” the group stated in a report.

SAF warns “law-abiding armed citizens that their civil rights could be in jeopardy due to that state’s restrictive gun control laws.” (Read more from “Gun Owners Warned to Stay Away From 1 State” HERE)

North Korea Plans to Fire Multiple Missiles Into Waters Around Guam

North Korea stressed Thursday that President Donald Trump will only learn through a show of force.

Trump is “such a guy bereft of reason and only absolute force can work on him,” North Korean state media reported.

The North Korean military is “seriously examining the plan for an enveloping strike at Guam through simultaneous fire of four Hwasong-12 intermediate-range strategic ballistic rockets in order to interdict the enemy forces on major military bases on Guam and to signal a crucial warning to the U.S.,” according to the Korean Central News Agency.

The military will report its plan to Kim Jong Un in mid-August and await his order. The missiles would reportedly splash down within a matter of miles of Guam. (Read more from “North Korea Plans to Fire Multiple Missiles Into Waters Around Guam” HERE)

Trump Official Attacked After Speaking Publicly About Christian Beliefs

In a recent interview with The New York Times, a newly appointed Trump administration official discussed President Donald Trump, her role in the White House and her personal religious beliefs.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, an evangelical Christian, told The Times that before every briefing, she reads from a book of Christian devotionals.

She also admitted that she has not always approved of some of Trump’s comments, but said “we were looking for a commander in chief, not a pastor.”

“Oftentimes, people want to make politicians perfect,” she said. “And that’s one of the actual beauties of Christianity, is understanding that no one is.”

But after the interview was published, many on Twitter attacked Sanders for her faith.

Meanwhile, internet commenters labeled her as a “Jesus junkie” and a “fake Christian.”

Sanders, 34, is just the third female White House press secretary in history. She also has three young children.

“As a working mom, it’s not lost on me what a great honor and privilege it is to stand here at the podium,” Sanders said last month at a press briefing.

According to former George W. Bush administration press secretary Scott McClellan, Sanders has a difficult job.

“It’s a challenging position under any president, much more so under President Trump,” he said.

“She can help the president advance his agenda and broaden his appeal beyond his base, if — and it’s a big ‘if’ — he will avoid undermining her.”

Sanders is also the daughter of former pastor, governor of Arkansas and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, who thinks she is perfect for the job.

“When most 9-year-olds were jumping rope, she was sitting at the kitchen table listening to people like Dick Morris (a Republican strategist) explain poll results and plan TV ads,” Huckabee told the Northwest Florida Daily News. “She can handle it. She is tough, seasoned, and smart.”

“Her detractors will likely underestimate her, and that will be their undoing. The toughest part of her job is the incredible bias the press operates with and their outright disdain of this president,” he said. North Korea Is a Blowhard Joke… Until It Fires a Missile

The North Korean regime has produced miniaturized nuclear warheads that can fit on intercontinental ballistic missiles that can travel across the Pacific Ocean and destroy American cities, potentially killing millions of Americans.

This sobering report comes from the Washington Post, which also recounted how the communist regime in North Korea, led by the mentally unstable dictator Kim Jong Un, is now in possession of as many as 60 nuclear weapons, according to U.S. analysts.

The findings are likely to deepen concerns about an evolving North Korean military threat that appears to be advancing far more rapidly than many experts had predicted. U.S. officials last month concluded that Pyongyang is also outpacing expectations in its effort to build an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of striking cities on the American mainland.

[…]

“The IC [intelligence community] assesses North Korea has produced nuclear weapons for ballistic missile delivery, to include delivery by ICBM-class missiles,” the assessment states, in an excerpt read to The Washington Post. The assessment’s broad conclusions were verified by two U.S. officials familiar with the document. It is not yet known whether the reclusive regime has successfully tested the smaller design, although North Korea officially last year claimed to have done so.

The Washington Post’s report has been confirmed by NBC News. How serious is this?

Russian interference in the 2016 election has no effect if you die in a nuclear holocaust.

Affordable health care is worthless if you die in a nuclear holocaust.

Climate change is irrelevant if you die in a nuclear holocaust.

Entitlement reform is meaningless if you die in a nuclear holocaust.

Taxes won’t be too high if you die in a nuclear holocaust.

A border wall protects no one if you die in a nuclear holocaust.

Free markets don’t matter if you die in a nuclear holocaust.

Infrastructure is immaterial if you die in a nuclear holocaust.

Today’s North Korea news is deadly serious. It is the single most important issue facing the Trump administration, facing the Congress, facing the American people, period.

Do I overstate the threat? North Korea has been posturing for decades — threatening the U.S. with nuclear destruction in its propaganda without ever taking credible action against the United States.

It is tempting to think of the regime as an unserious, bloviating joke.

Until they fire that missile.

The decisions President Trump will make regarding North Korea in the following weeks will be some of the most consequential decisions made by a U.S. president in this nation’s history. They will define this presidency. He cannot fail.

He must not fail. (For more from the author of “North Korea Is a Blowhard Joke… Until It Fires a Missile” please click HERE)

Disney Cartoon Features Lesbian ‘Moms,’ Promotes Gay ‘Marriage’ to Preschoolers

An August 5 episode of the Disney Junior show Doc McStuffins, which is aimed at preschoolers, featured two lesbian “moms” as the heads of a family.

The show is about an aspiring doctor who “fixes” toys with help from friends.

In the August 5 episode “The Emergency Plan,” a lesbian couple and their children (they’re a family of dolls) have to flee their house because of an “earthquake.” The purpose of the episode is apparently teaching children the importance of having an emergency plan.

“With this episode, they see a family that looks like our family,” said Wanda Sykes, a lesbian actress who plays one of the same-sex partners. “We’re two moms… it’s going to be very exciting for [my kids] to see our family represented.” (Read more from “Disney Cartoon Features Lesbian ‘Moms,’ Promotes Gay ‘Marriage’ to Preschoolers” HERE)

Hillary Clinton Has a New Career Path

Hillary Clinton is considering becoming a Methodist minister or lay preacher, according to her pastor.

Bill Shillady, Clinton’s spiritual advisor and the author of a forthcoming book of the failed presidential candidate’s daily devotionals, told this to The Atlantic.

The Atlantic’s August 6 article, “Hillary Wants to Preach,” by Emma Green, explores Clinton’s apparent dream of being an ordained Methodist minister. The article speculates that Clinton has held back from discussing her faith too much in public recently, and this could be one of the reasons why she lost in 2016. It also notes that Clinton has been mocked or had her sincerity questioned when she speaks about religion.

“Last fall, the former Newsweek editor Kenneth Woodward revealed that Clinton told him in 1994 that she thought ‘all the time’ about becoming an ordained Methodist minister,” Green wrote. Woodward said Clinton asked him not to write about that for fear of looking too “pious.” (Read more from “Hillary Clinton Has a New Career Path” HERE)

‘Stress Reduction Policies’ Let Students Choose Their Own Grades

A professor at the University of Georgia created a “Stress Reduction Policy” that allows students who feel “unduly stressed” to choose their own grades, according to a Monday report.

Richard Watson incorporated the policy into two business courses, Campus Reform reported. The syllabi have since been updated to remove the policy, but an archived version of one is available.

“If you feel unduly stressed by a grade for any assessable [sic] material or the overall course, you can email the instructor indicating what grade you think is appropriate, and it will be so changed,” Watson said in a syllabus revised Friday for MIST 4610: Data Management. “No explanation is required, but it is requested that you consider waiting 24 hours before emailing the instructor.”

The “Stress Reduction Policy” also states that students may leave group work whenever they desire and choose to have their grade not reflect that segment of the course. All exams will be open-book. (Read more from “‘Stress Reduction Policies’ Let Students Choose Their Own Grades” HERE)

Why Did Google Freak out and Fire an Employee for Spurring ‘Honest Discussion’?

The tolerance police at Google just struck another blow against increasing diversity in Silicon Valley by firing an employee who wrote a memo critiquing the company’s politically correct culture.

Now, let’s be clear: While the Google software engineer who authored the memo had the right to say and write what he did—it’s called free speech—Google is a private company and has every right to fire an employee it deems not in line with its mission or culture.

But it’s fair to ask why Google reacted so negatively to an employee who, in a 10-page memo, laid out a case for why Google’s diversity programs weren’t working and how it might rethink its attempt to reduce the gender gap.

Could it be that Google is feeling just a little bit paranoid?

For all the talk about inclusiveness and diversity, here’s the reality:

If you’re not white or Asian, that means there is only a 5 percent chance you’re part of Google’s leadership team.

And while 31 percent of Google’s employees are women, only 20 percent of its technical employees are—and it was primarily the memo’s focus on this gender gap that seems to have caused the recent unpleasantness in Silicon Valley.

In addition to bad PR, perhaps what the larger left-leaning community there doesn’t want to admit is that for all its diversity programs and safe spaces, and who knows how many millions of dollars spent promoting them, they have done very little to change the outcomes.

When it comes to computer and mathematical occupations, the numbers clearly show that women and men are not equally represented.

Women held 27 percent of such jobs in 1960. Thirty years later, they held 35 percent. But fast forward to 2013, and the number of women in computing and mathematical occupations had fallen back to 26 percent.

And it’s not because fewer women are going to college.

In fact, a Department of Education study from 2014 shows more women than men are attending and graduating from college, and they are receiving the majority of bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees.

But when it comes to college majors, women and men choose differently. A recent Georgetown University study showed over 80 percent of petroleum engineering majors are male. So are almost 70 percent of those majoring in mathematics and computer science.

Women, on the other hand, tend to major in what might be called more people-oriented professions, such as counseling, education, and social work.

Why men and women make such different choices is not 100 percent clear cut, but the idea that biology plays no role and it’s all because America is a sexist culture seems like an outdated and disproven theory.

And it was hiring and personnel practices based on that politically correct theory that the now-former Google employee was criticizing.

As he stated in the memo that got him fired: “If we can’t have an honest discussion about this, then we can never truly solve the problem.”

Apparently at Google, and much of Silicon Valley, the discussion is over. (For more from the author of “Why Did Google Freak out and Fire an Employee for Spurring ‘Honest Discussion’?” please click HERE)

Dems So Confused, They Have A Platoon Of Candidates Running For The Same Position

There are 11 Democrats running in the same Michigan state legislature election Tuesday, continuing a trend of the party fielding a steep number candidates for certain races.

The seat is in a strongly Democratic district, meaning whoever wins the Democratic primary Tuesday is likely to claim the seat in November when the general election is held.

The state seat was made available after Rep. Brian Banks was forced to resign as part of a plea deal following his conviction on three separate felony charges. Authorities charged him after he provided false information in an attempt to secure a loan, according to the Detroit CBS affiliate.

Banks officially resigned in February, and 11 Democrats signed on to compete for his seat in the strong Democratic neighborhood of Michigan’s 1st state legislative district. (Read more from “Dems So Confused, They Have a Platoon of Candidates Running for the Same Position” HERE)

Ivanka’s Lawyer Has Suddenly Become Bad News for Trump

Jamie Gorelick, the Hillary Clinton-supporting superlawyer representing Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, is now working pro bono for the city of Chicago in its lawsuit against the Department of Justice.

Chicago is suing the DOJ over President Trump’s policies regarding federal grants for so-called sanctuary cities. Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced last month that cities that receive federal crime-fighting grants must also cooperate with U.S. immigration agencies regarding illegal aliens.

But Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says that the Windy City will not comply with the order. He announced a lawsuit on Monday.

According to CNN, Gorelick — a partner at Wilmer Hale — is one of the attorneys representing Chicago. (Read more from “Ivanka’s Lawyer Has Suddenly Become Bad News for Trump” HERE)
